   I suck.

I am a very shallow, self-centered person. There are people in this world who are in far worse condition than I am yet I seem to only spend time in my own personal pity parties complaining about how awful I feel. Who cares if I have to get chemo injections and take a dozen pills a day? There are people who have to be hooked up to machines just to stay alive. Meh. Bah.

   Everybody Was Kung Fu Fightin'!

If only I could deal with RA this way!

Needless to say I have been feeling pretty meh as of late. My last Chemo treatment was a real pain, literally. I think the needle used for the injection was a bit dull so it really hurt getting stuck with it. Ouch! Today I am feeling a bit better but not as good as I usually feel. I am really sorry about not making the rounds to everyones sites. I really do appreciate all the well wishes, you guys mean so much to me and give me so much strength to keep on fighting the RA. ::huggles::

John knows I have been feeling a bit down in the dumps because of this nasty flare up so he got me some gifts. Now I have some stuff to keep me entertained while I am stuck in bed. He ended up getting me Naruto manga volume 6, Kare Kano manga volumes 15 & 16, Peacemaker Kurogane manga volumes 2 & 3, The Twelve Kingdoms DVD volume 5, FMA DVD vol 4, and Peacemaker Kurogane DVD volumes 4,5 & 6! This should keep me busy for a little bit. I love my gifts but I would trade it all in to get rid of my RA. But since I can't just "get rid of" my RA, this does make it a whole heck of a lot better to be stuck in bed!

Well, that is about it. Hope you guys are all doing well and thanks again for all your well wishes. Love you all!

   Meow!

Awww! Kittens!

I really don't have much to update about right now. Still not feeling back to normal yet. I have been hangin' around the home front watching "Twelve Kingdoms". I still have to get to all those PM's and promise to do that tomorrow.

I guess that's about it. Hope everyone is doing well and having a great weekend. Much love and happiness to you all. Love ya! ::huggles::

If I told you, you wouldn't believe me...

Hi everyone! I know my last update I said I would update the next day and didn't. I actually have a pretty good excuse, I had to take my dad to the emergency room since he had chest pain. That is a long, drawn out story of hours in the emergency waiting for test results and lack of sleep. No worries, he is under doctor's care and is doing ok now. ^_^

Now me on the other hand I have been feeling pretty bad as of late since I have been dealing with my Rheumatoid and my increased chemo meds. I hate feeling icky. Bah. These sick days really make me appreciate the days when I feel good. I am guessing this is why I have these bad days just to remind me to appreciate the good.

Let's move on to something more interesting!

Travis Willingham and Me!

Ah yes, my obsession with Full Metal Alchemist. Above is the picture of me with voice actor Travis Willingham who does the voice for Roy Mustang. He is very sweet and if you get a chance to meet him definitely do. He is a really nice and funny guy who likes the fans. That totally rocks.

Speaking of totally rocks, my prize for the Full Metal Alchemist fan art contest on WarCry's website!

My prizes!

Now I turned total fan girl opening up the boxes when this stuff showed up. What I ended up getting was a 6ft tall cardboard standee (it's folded over in the pic), a bunch of post cards, Myth courier bag, the 3rd DVD and poster. I am very happy to have won the grand prize. It's really weird to know that my art was good enough to win a prize, let alone the grand prize, in an art contest. I think that is the other thing that made me trip out a bit when the stuff showed up.

I am just rambling, I will be spending more time around the site...barring any emergency room trips...so hopefully everyone will be seeing more of me around myO sites and the OB. I love you all and hope you are all doing well. As always, you guys rock my Panda socks! Now, time for me to get some rest.

   Full Metal Panda?

I'm updating!

I am sure you have all noticed the change in the layout. I decided to add some color since the black and white was so stark and sterile. As you all know I have been on a major Full Metal Alchemist kick as of late so I decided to go with a Xiao Mei theme. The background is made up of a collage of scans from the manga and the color scheme to match Mei Chen's outfit. Full Metal Alchemist and Pandas...the only thing better is my Sanzo/Panda theme! Kyu! (That is the happy noise Xiao Mei makes.)

I am still not feeling well. I have missed so much stuff from being sick. My best friend Karyn and her husband welcomed their happy, healthy baby boy into this world and I missed the birth. My mom's birthday celebration was moved to my house so I could still celebrate with the family. Normally we take the one celebrating the birthday out to eat where ever they want. But since I was sick we just had a get together here at my house. I haven't been well enough to even chat on the phone so I have a million and one phone calls to return. Not to mention the PMs and emails that have piled up on me. If you have tried to contact me and haven't heard back yet, no worries, I am going to try to get to that ASAP. The reason for my poor health I am sure is 1) The increase dosage of my chemotherapy injections. 2) The nasty thunderstormy weather. (The change in pressure hurts my joints.) 3) Still recovering from AX! Speaking of which....

Panda and Vic Mignogna

Needless to say you all remember my interview with Vic at the beginning of the year. If not, go read it now! I spied him across the dealer's room at AX and he posed for a picture with me. I really wish I could have caught up with Colleen Clinkenbeard who does the voices of Rose Thomas and Riza Hawkeye. I will one of these days. I swear, I never have enough time in the day at AX, there is waaaaay too many things I want to do and they all seem to be at the same time so something has to slide. One thing that sorta took over my entire weekend was making sure Dan Woren (who I also interviewed and I am SURE you have all read that interview already!) made it to all the appearances he was scheduled for at AX and Robocon 20. Busy, busy, busy! I wish I could clone myself so I could have gone to all the things at AX I wanted to attend!

It's Al!

I guess that is about it for now. Oh! I did get my prize for winning that fan art contest. I will take a picture of my winnings and post them in my blog tomorrow. I was really surprised when it showed up since I couldn't remember what the prize was. It was the much needed FMA fix I needed since I have been going stir crazy waiting for the next FMA manga to be released. I was like a giddy little fan girl opening the boxes the stuff came in. I think John thought I lost my mind. >_<;;

Oh well. I love you all and better get to work catching up on all the stuff I am so far behind on. Take care and hope everyone is in much better health than I have been in lately. Take it easy and remember that I am thinking about you even though I may not post everyday on your blogs. ::huggles::

Random parting question: If you could meet anyone in the anime industry...artist, director, voice actor... who would you want to meet?

   I hate waiting!!

How can I get to Shochiku or Tokyu Cinemas?!?!

So, in the lastest issue of FMA it has an ad that says that the Full Metal Alchemist Movie Conqueror of Shambala debuts at the Shochiku and Tokyu Cinemas on Saturday July 23. They are giving an limited edition postcard illustrated by Arakawa Hiromu for the first 250,000 attendees....and there are going to be other giveaways to celebrate the 4th anniversary of the series!

Oh why can't I be there to see this and snag the swag?! I hope by this picture that means that Xiao Mei and Mei Chen will be in the movie. That would totally rock my Panda socks!! Now I have yet another FMA thing I have to wait for!!! Curses!! Why must I wait!!

Anywho, thank you all for the great suggestions and recommendations on other manga titles. I will definitely have to check some of those titles out. I really appreciate it guys, thanks. Now I shall return to my FMA waiting (and pouting) until I can get my hands on something to keep me occupied until the next FMA is released. BTW, you guys rock.

Rawr!!

Where's Al when I need him?

I want to vent about how much I hate waiting for manga to be released. I was reading FMA and have read up to the part where Al, Xiao Mei, Ed and Ling Yao are going to fight Gluttony and Envy "gallops" in. I won't give any spoilers for those who have not read the manga up to that point yet. I want to read the rest now!! I absolutely love the FMA manga and have never ever wanted the next issue of ANY manga this bad. I am such a flippin' rabid FMA fangirl now!

So, what manga or book are you reading right now? I think I am going to go stir crazy before the next issue of FMA is released so if you guys have a suggestion on what to read, I am all ears...or since this is reading material, eyes.

I love you all and hope to get caught up on all my work soon so I can get back in the swing of things around here on theO. Until then, be good, have fun and don't forget that I am thinking of you all. Love you much! ::huggles::

   I am really an otaku!

Me at AX with any voice actor.

I know, I am a fan girl. At times I found it hard not to glomp my favorite voice actors. In fact, I don't think I did very well with that at all. I would have to honestly say I glomped onto all my favorite voice actors at AX. Except for Greg Ayers who glomped me! That was too cool. Oh, and there was that one unfortunate Sanzo cosplayer I glomped...at least he was a great sport about it. LOL

theOtaku.com at AX '05

In case you didn't already notice my review of AX has been posted to the site with a small photo album. Go read it now!! As always my photo album is done in flash AND is very image heavy so it may take a little bit for it to load. I think the pictures are great so they are worth the wait. Read the article, view the pictures and don't forget to vote and leave me some comments. I want your feedback, but if you vote not tell me why. It was at 50% the last time I checked it. I guess you just can't make some people happy. I swear, if I put in the name of every single event, who was there and what they did I would still be working on the article next year! :P

VA Tony Oliver (Last Exile, Gungrave, Chobits...) and me of course!

I really did have a great time at AX. Meeting all these great VAs, catching up with old friends and spending time with John. It was all great. Made tons of great contacts and set up lots of interviews. Be expecting some more articles from me in the near future. I just need to get my ducks in a row and start making some phone calls. ^_^

One of the fun things I got to do was go upstairs of the ADV booth a few times. It really is a trip to look down at the swarm of anime fans cheering for swag.

VA Monica Rial (Super Milk Chan, Excel Saga...) wants to know if you want swag!

The crowd responds with cheers.

Well, I have a million and one things I need to catch up on. Sorry to all of you who have PMed me and signed my guestbook, I am get to those right now! I love you all and hope you are all having a better time than my article is. >_<;; LOL

I am a very happy fan girl!

Panda and Greg Ayres!

Yup, the above picture is of me and Greg on top of the ADV booth at AX. The best thing was he remembered me! That totally rocked my Panda socks. He agreed to do an interview with me for theO so all you other fan girls need not worry since that will be in the near future. ^_^

Things have been just crazy amazing the past week. I have so many things to fill you in on and so little sleep I am currently running on. Made lots of great contacts, met lots of voice actors this week, have over 400 pictures (including Man-Faye!) to sort though to share with everyone and even had the tables turned on me and I was interviewed! I just wanted to do a quick update to let you know I am still alive and kickin'.

I love you all and will do a full AX report and photo album soon. I just need to catch up on my sleep.

Oh, one more thing. Go check out theFMA Fan Art Contest on Full Metal Alchemist: WarCry website.

Black Hayate is a good pup! He won the art contest!

Like I said, I am a very happy fan girl right now. AX was a blast and then winning the Grand Prize in a fan art contest on top of that...my life as a rabid anime fan girl is rockin'! I love you all and will be back updating the site with much AX goodness. Laters!
