SakuraCon

My Anime Monkey costume is DONE! Just an hour ago or so. Eheh, guess I worried over nothing. Last Sunday, while I was napping (because the Sunday school is always way too early), Mom made the monkey tail all by herself. I feel bad now! I wanted to help at least a little bit. At least it's done...
And I've decided on the clothes and accessories too. It's just too cool, I'll post a couple links to pictures Sunday or Monday (or whenever I get on next).
Seems like everything is prepared now for the convention tomorrow. Good! I don't want any extra stress (not that there was a great amount to begin with).

So now, since I know people love these so dearly, is a little questionaire thingy:

1. Name: Monkey!
2. Date of birth: 4/21
3. Where you live: WA
4. What makes you happy: Chemicals in my body, or something like that. I dunno, I ain't no physicist.
5. Currently listening/the last thing you listened to: open your heart~reprise from .hack//SIGN (by Yuki Kajiura)
6. Do you read my journal?: Are you coming on to me?
7. If yes, what makes it especially good or bad?: I'm not hearing a no.
8. An interesting fact about you: I can't think of interesting facts on the spot.
9. Are you in love/do you have a crush at the moment?: No.
10. Favourite place to spend time: My room.
11. Favourite lyric: "The fields are filled with desire/A voice is crying for freedom/But all in vain, they will fade away/There's only you to answer you forever" from the world (.hack//SIGN again)
12. The best time of the year: Let's be honest: Christmas. Don't care if everyone says that, it IS the best time of the year!

RECOMMEND
1. A film: Howl's Moving Castle
2. A book: Memoirs of a Geisha
3. A band, a song, or album: The Bravery. They only have one CD out right now, so shouldn't be hard to find 'em.

PLUS
1. One thing you like about me: Monkey!
2. Two things you like about yourself: TWO Monkies!
3. Look at my friends-list and tell what you like about one of our mutual friends: ShadowFaintZero, come back to MyOtaku! We miss your pictures of the week thing.
4. Put this in your journal so that I can tell you what I like about you.

I leave thee now. Ta!

Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk...

Right now, I should really bless you all with the longest post I can possibly make. I got some nice, evil ideas from my friend J-chan. Kukuku...

So yeah. Whiney time! Physics books is awful, brothers are good-for-nothing lazies, and I haven't worked barely at all on my Anime Monkey costume!
Trust me, that's all you want to hear, unless you want the long version.

Now for good stuff! This guy named Mike (a friend of a friend) came over to our house awhile ago, and he's the type of anime fanatic that downloads anime all the time. Seriously, when he's not at work, he's on the computer downloading more anime. He has this huge hard-drive and everything!
Personally, I think it's wrong to only download and never buy. The only series he's ever bought is Azumanga Daioh. But... I'm not much better. >.> He gifted us with such great animes, I've just overlooked it. Eheh... Hale nochi Guu is too addictive, what can I say? (Well, plenty...)
It is thanks to him that my siblings and I were finally able to see the Bleach anime. Now I know why the Bleach wallpaper section is so flooded! It deserves to be, it's a really cool anime. I've heard some people complain about how different it is from the manga, but you get those types all the time. I like it just fine. Too bad Mike had only downloaded 48 episodes. Me want more than that! RENJI-KUN!
By the by, has anyone ever seen AMV Hell 3? If not, you should watch it (if your computer ain't crappy like mine).

Sakura-Con is coming up. I'm getting very excited now. I just... can't wait. I went to an anime "event" once, but not a convention. This'll be my first! I hope to find and buy as much .hack// merchandise as possible. Really into that again. v^.^
As mentioned above, my costume isn't done yet. I only have about another week to complete it. At this point, I'm just wearing a monkey tail. Yeah, that's it. Maybe some brown gloves, and an anime shirt, but that's it. Oh well, the tail was always going to be the distinguishing feature anyway. Just makes me nervous...

I hope everyone is well right now. Since I can't think of anything else to blubber about...

Au revoir, my monkies!

Pocha Pocha, Puri Puri, Bon Bon

I have no idea how to start this... well, I'm still in my PJs, and it's about 7:30 PM. Guess that works.
Accursed laundry day. And accursed brother who had to wash the towels the same day. And accursed sister who took forever with her laundry.
This day just kind of really sucks. Have not been in a good mood at all lately. Been very ungrateful for what I have, in my opinion.

By the way, I would definitely recommend Jubei-chan. I've never laughed so hard watching any anime. Plus, it's only 13 episodes, and you can buy it real cheap considering how highly priced anime is.
... I think it's expensive anyway...

Oh, I also made a wallpaper today. Shocking, ain't it?

Foreba... Foreba...

I've been obsessed with an anime called Jubei-chan: The Ninja Girl. It's very funny, just love that Koinosuke. I even ordered the soundtrack(s) yesterday. Cost quite a pretty penny. I really should be saving up for the Sakura-Con from now on, though.
And to think, I got into this anime because of a pin. Amazing.

So...
I've been a member of MyOtaku for over a year now. Yep. Since January 26th, I believe. Pretty cool, I guess. If you look at the steady decline of my activity on here, though... eheh.

By the way, I'm adopting the same strategy as one of my other friends, and am only going to check the sites of the friends that comment on mine. Just don't have time to do all that craziness. I did check some people's sites just now, not just those who commented on my last entry. So... we'll see how this works.

All hail the monkey goodness!

Koibito Ni Isuite

By the way, the song that might be playing right now is called Koibito Ni Isuite by Maaya Sakamoto. Thanks for the code, banzaiinu. v^.^

So, anyway. Does anyone remember me making a comment on how I would cosplay for Sakura Con? Remember what I said I would go as? Extra monkey points if you get it right. Anyway, scratch that idea! I'm going as...
Anime Monkey!
It's not a character from any anime, just so you know. I'm just going to make a monkey tail and monkey ears, wear an anime shirt, and go enjoy myself! I guess I really am the comfort-type of cosplayer (referring to quiz result below).
I was looking on the Sakura Con website earlier for info about it. But they don't even tell you when it opens! Gosh... I could only gather that they'll be open by at least 9:00 am, but still.

Oh, and you know what else? My brothers are immature, know-it-all, hypocrites. *nods* At least one of 'em is.

I was looking around on youtube.com, and I saw this one AMV that had one of my wallpapers in it. I'm downloading it right now to see just what it is exactly. That's pretty cool. Heh, reminds me of a few days ago, when I did some sort of Tsubasa image search, and my quiz came up! So giddy at that moment, I was.

Well, hugs then!

Break the sword of justice!

Hello.

I'm tired.
Of what, pray tell?
Of stupid people. Yes, they never seem to end, now do they? Today's dumbass is none other than a Super Liberal!
But wait, what's a "Super Liberal"? It's an incredibly annoying and stupid version of the liberal.
Anyway, this woman, or Super Liberal, made a statement on a radio program about "intelligent design" in schools, and obviously was opposed to it. Although I don't remember exactly what she said, I can recollect one line of hers:
"I don't care if intelligent design is true or not, I don't want someone telling me what to do, how long my skirt needs to be, etc."
There was also mention of a "Christian taliban" in the United States, which I find extremely insulting. How dare she think something like that. What a low blow. I'm steaming over this right now; I won't go on and on about it, for that is just annoying, but it is worth mentioning on here, to your great pleasure of course.
I would just like to make a few things clear: Christians are not trying to control your life! They want to give you this option, and whatever you do with it is your own choice. We only want to be heard. True, there are "Super Christians" out there, like those that protested against Harry Potter because it was "Satanic", and saying "J.K. Rowling is a Satan worshipper". But you cannot judge all the Christians in the world by these people. It seems the worst examples always end up in the news, no? I just hope the same can be said for liberals out there. I have to hope that all liberals are not like our special dumbass-of-the-day.
Also, what she said about not wanting to be told what to do, sounds like a child not listening to its parent. Plus, it's also very hypocritical, since Christians aren't allowed to pray in schools, or teach Creationism to their kids, or do anything at all concerning our faith! This woman doesn't want to be controlled, yet her liberal friends are doing the exact thing to us. (At least she had the guts to say what she actually thought. Still doesn't mean I have to like it.)
Finally, about the whole evolution and creationism in schools: it should either be both or none. Both "theories" teach how the world was created. It's unfair that "intelligent design" can't be taught while evolution can.

I'm just sick of it. This kind of thing has really been in my face lately, and I know it's just gonna get worse.
Sorry for cussing, I usually don't like to. Anyway, going away from this now. I think I got most of it out of my system. Hopefully, I didn't come off as stupid myself.

Time for a bit of good news before I go! I finally got my sister to start the Tsubasa manga and anime! YES! I've been wanting someone else to read this with me, and now it's finally happening! In fact, it was because she saw the first episode of the anime with me that she wants to read the manga now. She tried once before (I've been bugging her about it for a long time, trust me), but she didn't like the art. That is now all behind us though. YAY!!
Heh, I asked her what her favorite character is so far, of course. And she said Fai.
... Everyone loves Fai! I can't quite grasp why. I don't hate him, but... I want more Kuro-pu fans! *sobs*
Also, I don't think I will be able to get to many sites anytime soon. I thought I might be able to, but the computer is just... ugh. You know already. I shall try however!

Ta my monkies! I hope you have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukkah, or Kwanza (or whatever you celebrate). Good night!

All I wanna do is dance

Hiya anime peoples of teh otaku-ness! *huggles* Miss me?
... Remember me? Eheh, again, it has been awhile since my last visit. I'm getting very tired of apologizing to everyone in my messages, but otherwise I feel bad... blast.

Well, just wanted to make a quick update, to let you guys know that yes, our computer has internet. But, it doesn't have much else. My dad finally wiped out the hard drive, so now he just has to download all the updates. I miss my colors, only eight right now. *sobs* That also means I won't be able to have the fady effect in my wallpapers anymore. Not like I've been making them or anything, but still.

Gosh, so much to catch up on. But don't have much time to do it lately. Maybe once I get my Christmas break I can come back here and get to all my friend's sites and stuff. (And my break starts next week, so YAY!)
To those people who signed my guestbook in my absense, thank you! Of course, after I'm gone, I get a ton of signatures (which in my book means five or six -_-;).

I love you guys! Even though it may not seem like it lately, I do. I think I'm just starting to get weened from the internet. That's actually a good thing, but at the same time I feel like I'm neglecting my good friends on here. Oh well, like I said, next week baby!
Ta my monkies! *hugs to all*
And to all a good cheese.

Hmm... this time, I took my leave of you for but a fortnight. Not as bad as last time, but still... it really annoys me that when I finally get on, the computer is so gashsplurned slow, I can't do anything! I was able to check about a third of all the sites; that took me an hour and a half. Yeah, really bad. So, I need to just post this and get off to do homework. Sorry, I'll try to get on tomorrow to finish up (or at least catch up XP). I have to read in Paradise Lost, so tis best to finish that up as soon as possible. Not a very easy read, true to reputation.

Dang, life has been so boring lately. All I really seem to be doing is school and chores. I have some time for other stuff, but not a lot. And my sleeping schedule is all screwed up... staying up until 3 am now, and sleeping in to 1 pm. *le sigh* And all the plans we try to make to get out of the house end up getting cancelled! Geez... I can only hope this activity ceases soon enough.
Latin too, is starting to get on my nerves. Its not confusing me or anything, but I have to copy down so much crap and store it in this student notebook, so I can look back on it whenever I want. *snorts* Yeah, like that even works. I just look back in the textbook to study whatever I need. Stupid, so dumb... and it's all handwritten. Do you realize how long that takes me? I'm able to do most of my reading and a math quiz in that same time slot! Ugh... sorry, I just have to vent my frustration right now. I know other people have been having worse experiences, but it's just so easy to complain.

Alright, I'm already tired of myself. I'm ending this now. Ta then.

Golly gee, Mary Jane!

Man, I haven't been online for... over a month. Wow. Me? Not online? Doesn't make sense. Yet it happened. Why? Part of it is my own laziness. But there are other reasons I can think up of as well.
School is actually keeping me very busy. It's not all the reading, or the math, or the science, or even Latin. It's mainly the writing assignments. I put them off for too long, so then they pile up, and then that means working til 9:00 PM.
Then, another reason why I haven't been on is that our computer is a piece of very bad technology. We don't know exactly what's wrong with it, but it's hard to turn it on, and once it is on, the computer will most likely freeze after an hour or so online. It could be a virus, or it could be the hardware. I dunno, I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to fixing computers. See now my baby-like dilemma?

Gosh, I'm happy to even be on right now. I've missed you guys! *super hugs* I'll make sure to get to checkin' sites after I post this (really need to update first). Wonder how long I'll actually be on though, since the computer has been cursing my family as of late. I shall have my revenge Dr. Computron! Ohh, to be or not to be, that is the question...

Speaking of, Hamlet sucks. I don't know why everyone loves that play so much. Twelfth Night was much better. *nods*

Oh, and for those who might've perked their ears up at the Latin part back up there, I am learning the Latin language in school. Well, I'm learning Church Latin (Italian), not Classical (German), but either way I'm learning it. I could even say complete sentences if I wanted to by now. Like... "Puella poeta est." Translation: The girl is a poet. Or... "Agricolae ambulant sunt." - The farmers are walking. See? Not too shabby-ful.
Heh, I wish you could've seen the look on my Mom's face when she heard I wanted to learn Latin. It's not something everyone chooses, right? I know it's going to be hard (heck, I have another year of it at least), but I want to try it.

For those I've been PMing lately, so sorry yet again for taking ever so long to get back to you. Hopefully, I'll be able to get online more often.
Anyway, I think that's a long enough update. Just wanted you guys to know what I'm up to, and what's been happening.
Oh, also. I finished watching the Record of Lodoss War anime. Twas awesome indeed. v^.^ Spark, what a cute Blue Wonder.

Thanks to those who are reading this right now. You're the best! Ta my monkies!
