So the water was contaminated... :/
Time: 12:30 AM

Song: No Excuses

By: Alice in Chains

Mood: Distressed. :o

As most of my friends know, I'm in marching band as a flag twirler! Whoopty doo! And I get to go to boring football games every Friday and perform on the field for half time! So it's always very fun to go on the field and toss a flag to woo the audience with awesome pole twirling abilities! :D

Well, last Friday, we went to Southwest high school (way out in the middle of nowhere) for a football game. Being out in the middle of nowhere, we had a very small stadium and very small stands to stand in and dance to the band's music. So that really sucked big donkey -bleep.-

So it was before half time and the band was playing a song and during the song, the pep squad would hold up signs saying W A R R E N because we go to Warren high school. And everyone would call out the letters and what-not if they were in to the whole school spirit gig. During the whole Warren cheer, a pep squad member named Erin held the "R" upside down and we all thought it was funny at first.

'Til she started laughing really hard and then threw up all of the sand of the track she was standing on...

I think a few people noticed and not just me. I blinked a few times because I thought I was seeing things, but I found out later on that I was right. During the second quarter, we went down and began warming up and practicing the routine for the show. There was an ambulance down there and a lot of girls laying there, shivering, spazzing, and throwing up.

I thought nothing of it and just made the mindless assumption that some of them locked their knees or were just suffering from heat stroke or something. It was pretty hot outside and those outfits looked like they didn't breathe too well either. So I just ignored it and continued warming up and all that good stuff.

We were all lined up on the track when the band members were asking each other about the pep squad. Samantha looked at me and asked if I knew, then one girl said that when they were passing by, a girl from pep squad was screaming in pain and twitching horridly. We went on the field and performed before leaving the side lines and packing the flags up.

Four girls were taken to the hospital and the pep squad's water bottles were taken up to be examined. I was chosen for colorguard member of the week and got to cross over and meet Southwest's colorguard. They were very nice and one asked about the pep squad. One girl has a cousin that's in our pep squad and got sick. Her uncle rushed over and then came back to inform us that something had been put in the water.

At the end of the game, we all got in the buses and rode back to Warren's parking lot to get picked up. Much gossip was passed around about the stuff that was put in the squad's water and many people were worried sick about the girl's in the hospital being treated.

I hate the pep squad... but I don't hate them that much.
