   Tora!

Tora

Part: Guitarist, backup vocals
Real name: Amano, Shinji.
Dob: September 17th
Blood type: O
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 154 lbs.
Hobbies: Skateboarding, BMX
Perfume: Burberry
Favorite Brand: Gucci
Favorite Music: Korn (His style is very American metal..)
Phrase:
Strength/Weakness: Secret.
Cannot do without: Faith.
My latest boom: Authority's apparent lack of power.
Ambition: 2006 is the year for alice nine.
Past Bands: Karasu, arakune, Givuss(with Shou)

Although being really different from Hiroto, Tora is another of Miyabi's favorite in alice nine. He's not as hyper as Hiroto, but he's more mature looking and has a taste of elegance in PV, interview, and photoshoots. Somehow he reminds me of my dear Shinya (Shin-chan~~~) from Dir en grey because despite his quiet appearance, Shinya has amazingly powerful performance. Same with Tora and I think that's why I like him alot. I enjoy feeling the quiet tiger ("tora" means "tiger") explode with music. The songs Tora writes tend to be very heavy, obviously an influence from his favoritest band ever, Korn. A recent discovery: Tora sings backup vocals. We always thought it was Shou harmonizing with himself! Looks like Tora is good at blending his voice in.
Bob-chan thinks Tora's a badass too, but in a different way than Saga. Tora describes himself as a Lone Wolf, and that's what he is. He likes to do his own thing; he rarely blogs, probably because he likes to keep to himself. Tora's also... interesting. In one interview, after he finished a one-on-one session, he randomly gets up and sprints away, leaving viewers confused.. @_@ Aside from that, Tora is a lot like those hot manga guys; if you read manga you'll probably agree too!!

   Alice Nince!

Shou

Part: Vocalist, tracklist-order-decider!
Real name: Kohara, Kazamasa.
Dob: July 5th
Blood type: O
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 130 lbs.
Hobbies: Playing video games (like Final Fantasy!), thrift-store/vintage shopping, being a coffee addict
Perfume: Bvlgari Black
Favorite Brand: DIET BUTCHER SLIM SKIN, UNDER COVER, And A, Vivienne Westwood, ZooL, LHP
Favorite Music: Luna Sea, Korn, Atari Teenage Riot, The Used, MUSE
Phrase: I know, yo!!
Strength/Weakness: Length/shortness.
Cannot do without: Sleep!
My latest boom: Taking walks.
Ambition: I want to be an artist who can give alice nine fans good feelings and inspiration. I'll do my best.
Past bands: Lost Age, Givuss (with Tora)

One interesting thing about Shou is that his talking voice is much deeper than when he sings. His voice has a nice medium of lightness and richness between high and low tones. It sounds like he has to force a vibrato on his long notes, because he sings with a pure, clear tone, which is still evident when he screams. An enjoyable aspect of his singing is his wonderful pronunciation; Shou doesn't mumble when he sings, a trait Bob-chan is very grateful for! His lyrics are incredibly romantic and packed with emotions that can lift spirits or crash them down again just as easily. Luckily for us Shou is a nice guy.
Shou is a very focused person. In interviews, he's the polar opposite of Hiroto; Shou is serious and honest about his job, his honesty evident in his nervous blinking. It's also evident in PV's, where Shou takes center stage, his face lighting up the camera. Nothing's gonna stand in this guy's way, so watch out for him!!

thanks to this site!

   Klaha!

Klaha

Haruna, aka Klaha, is a Japanese singer and songwriter. He was one of the founders of Pride of Mind, a new wave band active from 1992 to 1996. After leaving Pride of Mind, he had no stated intention to continue in music; little is known about the subsequent four years. However, in 2000 he resurfaced under the name "Klaha", as the session vocalist for Malice Mizer's final album, "Bara no Seidou". It is known that he was a fan of Malice Mizer's music, and had a friendship with bassist Yu~ki. The band Malice Mizer were in a difficult phase following the departure of their singer Gackt and death of their drummer Kami. Though Klaha provided the vocals for the single Shiroi Hada ni Kuruu Ai to Kanashimi no Rondo, he did not appear in any promotional material and was not officially revealed until the band's 2-day live at the Nippon Budokan.

Klaha also starred in Malice Mizer's reinterpretation of Dracula (a silent film called Bara no Konrei) and appeared in several photobooks during this period. It was during his time in Malice Mizer that Klaha built up a loyal fanbase, with many fans cosplaying him at concerts and conventions.

After Malice Mizer went on an indefinite hiatus on December 11, 2001, Klaha capitalized on his newfound fame by starting a solo career. In a sharp departure from his Malice Mizer days, Klaha billed himself as a pop artist, his solo work comprises of piano driven ballads as well as more epic, orchestral pieces, and he dropped the Elegant Gothic Aristocrat fashion style. This drew criticism and comparisons with Gackt. His first album, "Nostal Lab", was released on December 4, 2002; shortly thereafter, he followed it up with the single "Märchen". Both of these releases were accompanied by short live tours and instore appearances. Following "Märchen", Klaha went into seclusion for around a year, reemerging in early 2004 with his mini-album "切望" ("Setsubou"); he played one live to accompany it.

In mid-2004 it was stated that his fanclub would be closing down. Apart from a message posted on his official website for fan club members only on May 3, 2005, there was no further activity on the official site and no forthcoming information for several months. Rumours of health problems abounded until December 24, 2005, when Klaha updated his official website stating that he had been working on his music during his absence and planned to return in 2006. His new work has yet to be released.

   Közi

Közi

Biography
His career began at the end of the 1980s in two bands, Girl and Beyond The Reinsight. Information about these bands is very scarce. In 1991 he joined Matenrou (also known as Matenrow) with future Malice Mizer member Mana and released two demo tapes. Mana and Közi left Matenrou after deciding they both had similar ideas about creating music. They formed Malice Mizer in 1992. After Malice Mizer disbanded in 2001, Közi joined Haruhiko Ash and created Eve of Destiny, an industrial rock band that toured outside of Japan, performing at various festivals in Europe.

In 2002, Közi collaborated with Japanese author Minako for the book Izayoi No Tsuki, which Közi provided the eerie soundtrack for. He then performed a special singing event in Japan which cemented the fact that he was following a solo career. Közi's first solo release was the double-disc, double-single package KAHOS/KINEMA, which included the memorable "Promenade". The track was re-released several months later on his debut album Catharsis. Közi's MEMENTO single is dedicated to the late Malice Mizer drummer Kami.

During his time in Malice Mizer, Közi often assumed the role of a pierrot doll, dressing in clown-like costumes with large ruffs, always in shades of red, his favourite color. In music videos and on-stage he would often make movements reminiscent of a marionette (string puppet). Közi has continued this visual style to some extent, but his contemporary stage costumes are more gothic. His work on the Izayoi No Tsuki project was reminiscent of carnival music, and artwork for his projects usually follow a dramatic, theatrical theme. Közi has never revealed his real name or date of birth, and details about his private life are sketchy. Due to lyrical and visual content in his work, it is generally assumed that he is interested in sado-masochism and has an eyeball fetish, a source of continual amusement to his fans.

   YU~KI

Yu~Ki

Yu~ki is the former bassist of the Visual kei band Malice Mizer. He had been with the band from its beginning (in 1992) until they announced they'd be going on an indefinate hiatus in December, 2001. While the other members of Malice Mizer have either gone solo or joined new bands, Yu~ki has done neither.

Yu~ki claims that the first thing he does in a morning is eat chocolate.
After the departure of Malice Mizer's vocalist, Tetsu, he was asked to become Malice Mizer's new voice but declined.
In live performances with Malice Mizer, Yu~ki assumed the position of a count or vampire; Gackt was usually the hero, Közi often took the odd roles, and Mana was the girl.
Yu~ki wrote the lyrics to the Malice Mizer song Syunikiss ~二度目の哀悼~. He also wrote the lyrics to both versions of Közi's song Memento.
Although there are many rumours as to what his real name is, none have been proven

   Mana!

MANA

Mana is a Japanese musician and fashion designer, famed for his role as the leader and guitarist of the influential visual kei band Malice Mizer. He was known for his crossdressing during his work with Malice Mizer, but has since dropped the practice except for when modeling Moi-même-Moitié products. He is widely considered the creator and figurehead of Japan's Gothic Lolita fashion movement. Moi dix Mois is Mana's current project.

Mana was born on March 19 in Hiroshima; while many unsubstantiated rumors proliferate, his real name and year of birth are unknown. At an early age, Mana was introduced to classical music by his parents, who were both music teachers; classical music has remained one of his main musical influences ever since. Mana has said that he started making music when he was in high school, at which time he listened to Mötley Crüe. Typically, Mana's compositions blend classical music (especially baroque music, featuring pipe organ and harpsichord) with heavy metal music, gothic rock, industrial music and other more unlikely elements such as French pop music.

After graduating from a music school, Mana moved to Tokyo.

Project history
Mana's first bands were Girl'e, a punk band active around 1989-1990, and Matenrou (摩天楼 Matenrō - skyscraper), active 1990-1992. After Matenrou's dissolution in April 1992, Mana and guitarist Közi founded Malice Mizer in August of that year. Mana was the band's lead guitarist, chief songwriter, choreographer and overall artistic director. He also founded his own indie music label, MidiːNette, on which most of Malice Mizer's work was released. After Malice Mizer went on an indefinite hiatus in 2001, Mana founded his solo project Moi dix Mois. He composes all of Moi dix Mois' music, writes the lyrics, produces, directs and designs the project members' stage costumes.

In 1999, Mana created his own clothing label, Moi-même-Moitié, which features two lines of designs named Elegant Gothic Lolita and Elegant Gothic Aristocrat. Mana continues to regularly appear in the scene's top publication, the Gothic & Lolita Bible, modeling his own designs and giving updates on his various other projects.

In 2002, Mana signed the darkwave duo Schwarz Stein to MidiːNette and went on to produce for them. Despite their growing success, Schwarz Stein disbanded in March 2004, and Mana has since been looking for new bands to sign and produce.

In 2004, Mana started to branch out internationally by opening his fan club to overseas members (a rarity amongst Japanese musicians)Mon+amour International and setting up international distribution channels for his music and fashion. He played his first concerts with Moi dix Mois outside Japan in March 2005 in Munich, Germany and Paris, France. In recent months he has been interviewed and featured on the cover of European music magazines such as the German Goth magazine Orkus.

Public behavior
Mana has rarely intentionally smiled or spoken in public. In his filmed interviews he whispers into the ear of a band member or confidante, who then relates his words back to the interviewer. He has also been known to simply look at the camera as subtitles appear, as well as using Yes/No cards. According to him this is because he considers his music to be his voice.

One of the few cases in which he has spoken is a 1996 Malice Mizer interview on the TV show Hot Wave, where he replied "Gitaa no Mana desu" ("I'm Mana, the guitarist") when asked about his name.

Almost nothing is known about Mana's private life, although he has said more than once that there is no difference between his stage persona and his real self, and that he wears makeup and women's clothing both on- and off-stage. Mana's favorite hobby is cooking along with anime, video games and Italian horror films. His favourite food is Takoyaki soaked in sake, and his favourite colors are blue and black.

Shinya! ^.^

Shinya!

Name: Shinya
Stage Name: Shinya
Hometown: Osaka
Birthday: Feburary 24, 1974
Blood type: B
Height: 5'7"
Star sign: Pisces
Loves to: Be alone
Drums: Ludwig Classic Maple

Image________
Shinya is a very introverted person. He doesn't like to give out information about himself. He's very quite, hardly talks, which makes him the least popular member of the band. I don't know, maybe that's how he likes it? He's very sweet also, he's a considerate person and he takes care of himself and he's very careful with how he spends his money. His role model is Yoshiki from X-Japan and look! Yoshiki is their producer now! Bet he's happy about that ne? He's the baby of the band too! Since he's the baby, and VERY quite he gets picked on ALOT. Especially buy Die, Totchi and Kaoru, MOSTLY Die. One time, Totchi was hanging around Shinya, Shinya had earphones on and was warming up for the concert. Totchi was poking him and bugging the living CRAP out of him, then Shinya was trying to hit him with the drumsticks! It was soo cute! Then Kaoru he bugs him also, he acts like he's singing, goes up to Shinya and starts singing like how Amercian rockers sing. And Shinya looked at him all weird. Then in the car, Shinya was sitting behind Die and Die kept moving his head around it it'll block Shinya from showing up on the camera! Shinya moved to the left, Die moved to the left, Shinya moved to the right, Die moved to the right, Heh heh heh Die is so mean. Anyways Shinya is the " girly " memeber of the band, but not anymore, they all cut their hair and died it brown, except for Kyo and now Shinya looks more manly.

Snags________
Yay!!! Shinya doesn't smoke, infact he HATES IT! He hates it when everyone else smokes, he dipses it, he gets mad at the other memebers when they smoke. But the snag about him is that he's too introvertive! I hate it! It took the other members from the band 6 months before they got his phone number!!! Also in the interview with New Grave Shinya hardly spoke. Although he did mention getting a vaccum as a gift from a fan. How WEIRD is that?!

DIe!

Name: Ando Daisuke
Stage Name: Die
Hometown: Mie
Birthday: December 20, 1974
Blood type: B
Height: 5'10"
Star sign: Sagittarius
Loves to: Party, get drunk, tease Shinya
Guitar: Morris? ESP

Image________
Die is the one who is German influenced. He's Really good at playing the guitar. He's the most out going, joker of the band. But he scares me! The face mask he wears I think he's the most scarriest member of the band! Now, more than EVER his new make-up makes him look like a zombie. No offense to you Die lovers. Die is a very straight forward, talkive, fun, attractive and seductive person. He can be kinda and gentle, he LOVES to tease Shinya, ALOT! I've heard rumors that Die had a BIG crush on Shinya back in the MISSA days! Maybe because Shinya looks so much a female? Probably. Well, you know what they say about guys teasing girls, it means they like 'em. Maybe it ISN'T a rumor? Heh heh heh! Kidding everyone in Dir en Grey is straight, plus, Die has girlfriends :)

Snags________
Die smokes, enough said. If you've seen the I'll PV, you see DIe smoking in the background. Oh well! I hope Die and the rest stop...
