*cross post*

Finally, an update for Death by JROCK.

First, the winner of the banner contest is
thaoiRYU for the forum. However, because I'm horrible with forums, it's still not up. I'm going to pounce on my savvy friend and have her help me out~ pathetic I know. On that note, the banner for the alt. dbj site was made by NatsukiIsYourGod. Thank you and congratulations thaoiRYU and NatsukiIsYourGod.

I'm working on the assorted section of the site. When finished, it should contain links out to various sites for purchasing goods, reading bios, et cetera also, contributed *hint hint* reviews, scans, and updates about new releases and such. I'll make attempts to update this site somewhat bi-weekly.

That is all for the now. Thank you.
Also, there is a link to the forum on the Affiliates section under DBJrock. As I said, it's not really running but you can set up an account and such. Thank you.

Love,
rei-chan

C'est Rei chan.

An update would be nice from us, I believe.

  1. formed a new forum - still in the works though, will probably be fully up this weekend
  2. researched the deg info - see the bottom of the page
  3. thought more about a critical review of various cds <-- unless people don't want this, it can be done thorough combined efforts
  4. applied for sponsorship with forever-rain
  5. constantly checking new releases in Japan, Europe, and in the States, as well as tour and concert info in the States

Dir en grey -
First, with officially announced 'tours' there is only a DVD, limited and regular release, of the '05 tour - It Withers and Withers. (no release date or prices for either one)

Dir en grey in America -
So far, NO announced tour - those are other bands for you all.
However, the release of Withering to Death with Warcon records was pushed back from 7 March to 21 March.
If you want to know what all Warcon records has to say with regards to their support and 'sponsorship' of Dir en grey, check out their page

For now, that's all -
Around either the beginning or end of the months - or whenever deemed necessary, updates about releases will come about.
We'll have more shortly.
Later loves!
- Rei chan.

Moll’e Node is an indie band holding truer to the older Visual Kei style of dress and music with heavy rock and light ballads.
Forming in 2003, Moll’e Node began to release cds in 2004 starting with Hanjuku Taburetto, which was successful. In September and October, Haikei, Aishiki Hitoyo and Buriki no Orugoru, respectively, were released. They kept their sound and style consistent between the two. February of 2005 brought the release of Zenmai Pythagoras; it included PVs for the songs from all their albums. The release was greatly appreciated however it’s only in VHS format. During the summer, Teppei and Haniwa left the band. They were replaced with bassist Kiyoshi, who joined in June, drummer Hikari in September.
Info from
OHP
Iced Key
JaME
Because they aren’t a band found in everyone’s play list, some samples:
Cry for the Moon
Haikei, itoshiki hito yo
Aishû no cream shedar
*to access songs… since I’m not going to mess with html at this hour, go to gmail
the username is downer.beautiful and the password is ayabie

well then.. later my loves!
we'll get out info in a week or so with regards to somethings new for this club.

First off, ‘tis Rei chan once again.
Second, we’ll have a band of the week/month update probably on the weekend.
I want this post to run about a week.

Yume sama and I would like to gather any ideas from all of you with regards to what we should do with this club.
We’ve learned that ‘contests’ requiring greater amounts of time don’t work well, and that’s understandable.
We’d like to know what YOU want us to feature. You really can’t answer this one incorrectly.

And I can’t put up scans as fast as Empty Tears can, however, if you’d like, I can scan Cure issues for you. That’s no problem with me. Hopefully after the Christmas/New Years season, the post will be faster and I’ll get the issues before the month starts.

As for last bits of information, this time on my bias for band features:
Moi dix Mois: new vocalist Seth; Kazuno and Tohru left the band; current line up is K, Seth, and Mana. They will have a new mini album (7 tracks for regular edition, 11 tracks for special edition) called Beyond the Gate with release date March 1st. CDJapan vends it, I don’t think anyone else has it yet.

Daishi’s birthday is Feb 5th, if you’d like, we can send a card to him (I know I will…) so if you’d like to send something along with what I’m shipping over to him, scan it or whatever and let me zero li enna know.

*edit* since i'm looking at it, Rentrer en Soi has info: "2006.2.22 New Single 「PROTOPLASM」発売!" (OHP) and cdjapan has a copy. with sal shipping, the single is 14.52. so for any ReS fans out there who didn't know... there you have it.

So yes, PLEASE give us some ideas so that this club may improve.
Thank you loves!
~rei chan

Band of the Month

Yea, I changed it. Since we haven't being doing it every week, rather every month.

Sorry for the delay!

[info taken from Kagrra]

A very vibrant and popular band in the indies scene. Originally named Crow and under the Key Party label, they renamed to Kagrra and moved to PS Company mid 2000 and since then have had overwhelming success. Unique amidst the ever copycat indies scene, with unusual music and a solid stage presence, this is definately a band to keep an eye on.

Music
Melodic dark rock with a touch of goth.. I don't know. Kagrra are hard to define. But amazingly good and leaving you wanting more. Akiya writes most of the songs, and plays a mean guitar, and Isshi has a divine voice.. including the loveliest falsetto I've heard in a long time, which he knows how to use in the right places. I highly, highly recommend Kagrra. They have released two demotapes, four singles, and three mini albums.

Live
Always a stunning performance, these guys hold the stage with style. Isshi is an amazing presence, a serene beauty who floats around with more grace and elegance than any man has a right to have, and leads the crowd with his flamboyant hand gestures. In the midst of their crowd-pleaser song, he leans over the crowd, as poised as ever, and then opens his mouth to scream "ai yai yai yai yai!" like some psychotic, wailing banshee. Truly a sight to behold. Akiya is a little demon, impish and grinning as he vaults about the stage gleefully, while Shin holds his calm and looks as cool as you could imagine, before he too leaps into the waiting crowd. Nao stands back and watches with a smile, yet is quick to join the antics if given a chance. And even Izumi is having fun back there behind the drums.

Look
Apparently, the word 'kagura' (which is how 'Kagrra' is pronounced) is some sort of traditional Japanese style dance, and the costumes of the band reflect this traditional idea, with flamboyant kimonos and accessories straight from Japanese culture. But all with a modern twist; materials including leather and fishnet, buckles and collars, plus bright red and blue hair and a flair of unusual makeup. Kagrra put as much effort into their look as their music, and it's worth every yen spent.

Click the link at the beginning for band member info.

I hope you have a great upcoming holiday!

[hugs&kisses]- Yume sama
