\/\/hY $0 53r10uS?
hey guys. yup, its me, back from the void and let me tell you, the void is tiring. yessiree..

anyhoo, i figured i should keep you guys updated on the last few weeks seeing as its been almost a month since i last updated...

its been a pretty busy few weeks, although fairly repetitive. im still enjoying it, though it seems everyone is getting fatigued. i figure it'll perk up again on the last week as everyone gears up to say goodbye for another year.
last week we had the first round of "Girls 2 Greatness" camp which is a girl empowement camp...they do stuff like learning how to make perfume and facial treatments and stuff, but they also do things like learn how to change a car tyre and work a circuit breaker. they also do some stuff on the challenge course, which i took them for. and then had a small entourage for the rest of the week of admiring girls.
-_-;;;

so this week i decided not to get involved... \

we also had a camp called "Thats not Camp" which is a video game camp for boys. at the end of the week we took all the game consoles and had a massive Smash Bros Brawl tournament and Rock Band fest, along with Steak Dinner! good times... ;p

i've also been heavily involved with a camp called "Leaps of Faith" which we have every week. they spend a lot of time on the challenge course, and they're nearly always pretty good kids. i enjoy working with them.

this week is the second round of Late Night camp (three weeks after the first set) so im trying to take all the time i can to rest up. tonight they have high-ropes course from 7-10 pm and then on thursday we have giant swing from 11am till whenever it finishes, followed by the Late Night Gallilean service, which is at 4am. yay sleep deprivation! ((0_0))

and next week is the final week of regular camp. after that we have a week of day camp, and then i'll be doing a further two weeks of challenge course/maintenance work on site. then, at the end of august, i'll be heading off, maybe doing some travelling. we'll see how it goes.

on the recreational side, i havent been doing a whole lot. i went to see "Dark Knight" which is a PHENOMENAL movie. you should go see it just for Heath Ledger's protrayal of the Joker alone, not to mention stunning performances from every other actor.
i also saw "Hancock" with Will Smith, which was an enjoyable movie, i recommend you go see it as well.
i also picked up the "Voices of a Distant Star" manga from Borders the other day. the thing is, i have an ORIGINAL japanese copy of this manga at home that i was gonna get round to translating someday (y'know...after i learn to read/write/speak/understand japanese...its on my to do list), but when i saw the english version on the shelf my hand automatically reached out and grabbed it. *shrugs* what can i say? "Voices" is one of my fav anime/manga pieces of all time. i love it.

in other news, my MP3 player bought the farm, so i went out and bought a new one. same size, 2 gig, but a better brand, so hopefully more reliable.
im also worried about Midori, i fear she may have acquired a few viruses during her time here, but without the ability to connect to my home netwqrk, i cant run the built in virus scanner. i should buy some anti virus software, but i havent had the chance.
speaking of viruses, i myself have had a bit of a head cold the last couple of weeks. lots of sneezing and coughing and phlegm, along with a couple of headaches, but no big deal. im pretty much over it now.

and uhm...yeah. that's it from me for the time being. i hope all your summers have been going well. and to those of you going back to college (particularly those of the Australian persuasion) i hope that it goes well for you.

till next we meet (which may or may not be from an entirely different location within the United States)

ciao for now!

these be dead waters...
man, myo is quiet. tis a shame.

yet another update from the states. its been fun, more or less, here. im still working hard and the weather is still nuts.

last week i got pulled as a counselor for special needs week, which i was really not happy about. I wasnt meant to be doing it, but some other guy decided he really couldnt do it, and i was one of the few male staff members who could do it, so i got pulled. i was pretty angry about it, but in retrospect, it really wasnt that bad a week. i had the older special needers, who pretty much spend all day sleeping, eating and colouring in. thats the gist of it, so it was kinda a relaxing week for me...i still didnt get much sleep though. ^^;

this week its back to normal, although its crazy busy on camp this week. my schedule is flooded, and i also have Late Night campers, which mean im up till gone midnight at least twice this week. i really have to catch up on some sleep.

my 4th of July went pretty well, how did yours go? i know, as a english bloke, that Independance Day isnt really something i should be celebrating, but to be honest, no one in england really gives a shit about America winning their independance from us, so i was happy to join in the festivites. a whole bunch of us went out to watch the fireworks in the nearby town of Chester Town, but it started raining literally as the fireworks were starting, and it started to POUR. Thunder, Lightening, the works...to be honest, the lightening was more impressive then the fireworks. ha ha!

I also went out Friday afternoon (before the rain and the fireworks) to the small, middle-of-nowhere town of Centreville, which is the nearest town to camp. I went with one of my fellow staffers, Mary Collins, and we explored the abandoned derelict railroad tracks that start in Centreville and head out of town. we walked down the tracks a little way, but we weren't sure how far they went, so we stopped after a short distance. I love abandoned industry, especially when it's mostly intact, so i had a whole lot of fun poking around this abandoned rail-raod. it filled me with inspiration, and i took a whole bunch of pictures. one of them is on my deviantart page (link up top). check it out if you have the time.

on saturday a bunch of us went on a WalMart trip. i bought a bunch of DVDs, mostly for everyone to use in the staff lounge, but im gonna be taking them home with me at the end of summer. XD i got Kill Bill vol 1, Pulp Fiction, Casino Royale (007), Casablanca, The Transporter and a few anime dvds too. XD i also ordered a few CDs online. The first one came yesterday, DragonForce "Sonic Firestorm". i've also got the soundtrack to the movie "RENT" coming, as well as the soundtrack to "Kung-Fu Panda" ^^ good times.

so thats pretty much it from me for now. this week is gonna be hectic, and im hoping to catch a few ZZZs this week when i get the time. (it doesnt help im bunking in a cabin whose campers have to be up at 5am to go Crabbing...)
and this friday our staff chaplain (Jonny, who is also an english bloke) has offered to teach people how to ballroom dance, so i might give that a go, good for a few laughs. XD

hope y'all are having a fantastic summer!!!

QUOTE OF THE WEEK: (between myself and Mr .Niles, a ninety-something years old special needer)

MYSELF: "What's up Mr. Niles?"

MR. NILES: "I wonder that myself sometimes..."

CHAPTER 1: USE AS DIRECTED
from the unwritten book "1001 uses for a tampon"....don't ask.

Another quick update from the eastern shore…

Camp started two weeks ago…well, a week and a bit, we’re half way through week 2. so far it’s been fairly quiet for me as challenge course lead. I don’t have many groups on the challenge course at the moment, so I haven’t got a whole lot to do during the day. and even when I do have groups, there are three of us on challenge course staff, so the work load gets divvied up fairly evenly. It’s gonna be like this next week too, with it being Special Needs week and all. Special needers tend not to do challenge course! But after that its gonna start picking up, week 4 will have me working from 8am till 2am the next morning on some days! But I look forward to it, those camps always have the best campers.

So whilst I haven’t had a whole lot to do on the challenge course this past few weeks, I’ve been trying to make myself available to help out elsewhere around camp. Mostly this consists of hanging around after meals to help clean up, and driving people around camp at the weekends between the place where they park their cars and the rest of camp. Considering I don’t have a car out here, I’ve done a whole lot of driving, including stuff like 15-passenger vans!

I’ve also been helping out with things like campfires, music time, and other activities to keep the campers occupied, especially during the storms…and we’ve had a lot of those! Its been pretty impressive though, the storms out here are nothing like the ones back home… they’re so much more intense.

Other then that, not much has been happening here. I went to a friends house on Friday with a whole bunch of people and we had a good time, got a little crazy (but no alcohol! Yay for non alcohol craziness!). and on Saturday we went to Annapolis Mall, and I bought a few books, as I’ve finished the couple of books I bought out with me. I got the second Appleseed Manga, the 3rd Pumpkin Scissors Manga and I also bought Neil Gaiman’s “Smoke and Mirrors.” I liked the Stardust Movie and his stuff seems interesting, so I figured I’d give this one a go. “Smoke and Mirrors” is a collection of short stories, so I figure it won’t be too heavy reading.

Also at the mall, I went to see “Kung Fu Panda”. I give it ten thumbs up. ^^ seriously, a most excellent movie, beautiful animation, great music, fantastic storyline and huge doses of humour. It might only be a kids movie, but really, go see it, you wont regret it. ^^ SKA-DOOSH!

So, all in all, its been good. Good people, good times. I'm having fun.

See y’all round!

phew...
hey folks. another short update from the land of Mary...

its been a good couple of weeks. Last week was challenge course training, and it was good to see alot of my friends again. its gradually getting busier and busier here at camp. next week is staff training week, so most of my friends from last year will turn up, as well as new people to make friends with. ^^

this week i've mostly been on maintenance duty. its not been too taxing, just helping to put boats into the water and other random odd jobs. it has been very physically exhausting though. i grew too lazy over the winter. its good to get out and do physical labour.

weather here has been topsy turvey. Its mostly been humid and sunny, but we've also had mad lightning and thunder storms. i've got a theory that whenever an international staff member arrives in the country, it pours down. so far my theory is correct...it rained when i arrived, and it absoultely flung it down yesterday when another english guy and an australian girl showed up. more internationals are due to arrive tomorrow, we shall see if my theory holds water (much like the boats, which hold a lot of water when it rains. -_-;;; )

i've really been noticing the wildlife recently. camp normally has an assortment of rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels and birds hanging around, not to mention the bugs, but i've been seeing alot of snapping turtles hanging around this week, and i also saw a pair of Horseshoe crabs this week, which i think was awesome. apparently there have also been a few snakes too, but i havent seen any. what else...oh yeah, in the building im staying, there is a mouse that comes out at night and runs around the lounge area. and this morning when i went to brush my teeth, there was a little frog/toad sitting next to the tap. i left him there cuz he wasnt in the way or doing much, but after i came back from dinner (this evening), he was still sitting there, which cant be doing him any favours, so i chucked him out.

the coolest thing this summer thus far with regards to wildlife are this family of Carolina Wrens (which are very small birds). One has set up its nest in the maintenance workshop area where all the tools are kept. she had been sitting on three eggs for a while, and they seemed to have hatched in the past couple of weeks, cuz there are now two little baby wrens fluttering about the workshop learning how to fly.
Admittedly a workshop probably isnt the best place to raise a couple of baby birds, but the mother can get in and out of the shop fairly easily, and we dont use the workshop for much cuz we do most of our work around the site. and besides, the workshop has lots of convienient places to perch and rest. Its been very amusing to watch these two little baby wrens, who still have their fluffy baby plummage, flutter around the workshop testing their wings. considering they were eggs about a fortnight ago, they're doing pretty well. one can sort of hover-fly for about three or four metres at a time, and the other can really just do extended jumps. the mother spends all day flying in and out of the workshop, brining them food. often you'll see her come in and then spend five minutes trying to find where her chicks are hiding. nobody minds them being there, and they're not really in the way. i have to admit, i've grown rather fond of them. ^^

well, thats my (not really) short update on my current situation. next week is staff training week and then the week after is the first week of camp. its starting to get real busy around here!!!

here's a funny meme i found. this is actually quite amusing, you should try it.

Basically what you do (for anyone who wants to do this) is open up google and search what the meme tells you to. Then, you copy and paste the text from one of the results on the first page of results. If you don't get it, well... tough. ;p

Q: Type in "[your name] needs" in the Google search:

A: "Darke needs to acquire more Barenaked Ladies CDs" (and maybe just some bare naked ladies? no?)

Q: Type in "[your name] looks like" in Google search:

A: "Darke looks like a chip off the old block" (i say. tip top. what what?)

Q: Type in "[your name] says" in Google search:

A: ""In the Tennessee bottomlands where it's moist or wet, you're crazy to plant it, but it's a non-issue in New York," Darke says" (...yeah...)

Q: Type in "[your name] wants" in Google search:

A: "All she knows it that this rugged, ancient man named Darke wants her to follow him, to trust him and to fight with him." (i dont know you lady! stay the hell away from me!)

Q: Type in "[your name] does" in Google search:

A: "I have heard from various people that Darke does actually haunt that building," said Coward." (how would he know? he's a coward!)

Q: Type in "[your name] hates" in Google search:

A: "Darke hates gossip in his household; but really, if I have to call one of the housemaids to help me, thats worse than having to trust a professional nurse, isn't it?" (WHATS THAT GOT TO DO WITH THE PRICE OF FISH?)

Q: Type in "[your name] asks" in Google search:

A: "Dr. Darke asks, "What's more frightening than reality?" but no, he's not going to make you balance your checkbook..." (im not? oh right...reality...gotcha..)

Q: Type in "[your name] goes" in Google search:

A: "Darke goes further: "It's an absolute nightmare getting male fashion stylists to do male shoots for the newspapers..." (Oh honey you look precious, but really darling, you should have gone with the vogue gig...)

Q: Type in "[your name] likes " in Google search:

A: "Darke likes the buzzing door he has at work. For quite a few days after it was installed" (hee hee! it goes... "buzz!" buzz!!!. ha ha ha!!!)

Q: Type in "[your name] eats " in Google search:

A: "Darke eats rabbits. They taste gooood" (but nutritionally bad for you)

Q: Type in "[your name] wears " in Google search:

A: "You see, in these stories, Darke wears a lot of different hats... and that's the key to our new look." (its true. i do wear a lot of different hats...or i would like to...)

Q: Type in "[your name] was arrested for" in Google Search:

A: "In the great May Day demonstration on the eve of the General Strike in 1926 Darke was arrested for wearing his RAF uniform with red badges." (DAMMIT!! CAN'T A SERVICEMAN BE PATRIOTIC THESE DAYS...uh.. those days... )

so yeah...

take care and i'll see ya when i see ya!

just a quickie
hey folks, jut a quick update from Camp Pecometh, Maryland.

its been a hectic two weeks here so far...and camp doesnt even start for another three weeks!!!!!

they've had me doing zip-line programs, helping out with canoe sessions, helping out with candle-light services, i've been nailing down shingle on a roof for several days (sorta...on and off. ^^;) i've been repairing and driving around sit-on lawnmowers, i've been weed-eating, i've been waxing the dining hall floor, i've been driving trucks (both automatic AND stick) around, i've been doing odd jobs all around the place, and SOMEWHERE amongst all that, i've been hanging out and chilling with some of the friends i made here last year...its been pretty cool. ^^

weather has been all topsy turvey. today (and yesterday) its been pretty sunny and warm, but its also been really windy here, and pretty chilly in the evenings and mornings. its also been raining on occasion. madness. ^^

but yeah, its been fun. i've brought Midori, my laptop, with me and we've managed to make a connection to the net (as evidenced by this post) and she's also been keeping me entertained in those brief moments where i have nothing to do. XD

i found out recently that i didnt make it through to the final of Steel Nation, the mecha tournament i was in. but thats ok. my opponent was really skilled and this also means i can focus on camp more. besides, without a scanner (and being as busy as i am,) making a truly worthy round 5 comic would have been next to impossible. ^^; ah well. it was fun whilst it lasted, and im happy that i got as far as i did...i didnt exepct to!! lol

well, thats it from me for now...the next time you'll hear from me, camp wuld have probably started properly...or maybe just before. i dunno. we'll see.

have a great time everyone! see ya round!!!

i have this song stuck in my head...which is good, cuz its a good song!!!

And the time has come yet again...
yup. tomorrow i head back to america again. gonna be working at Camp Pecometh like i was last year. so if any y'all gonna be in the Maryland area in the next few months, drop on by and say hi one weekend! lol

normally when i go disappear for a while i post a special post, but i dont really feel like it today. mainly cuz i figure that i will still be able to post whilst im in the US and besides, what with my screwed up posting schedule and lack of otakuites around here these days, i dont think its really gonna make that much diffence.

so i am going to america. but i'll try to post regular like. thats what im saying. yes.

went to see an animated movie last friday. called "Vexille." its CG (like the new Appleseed movies) and to be fair, the story lends heavily to both Appleseed and Ghost in the Shell. its another cyber-punk action adventure that makes the viewer question the gap between man and machine, except it does it more direct then either GITS or Appleseed. to be honest, i think GITS and Appleseed do the whole thing better then Vexille did, but i enjoyed it nonetheless. The graphics were stunning, to the point where i occasionally wondered if it hadnt been shot in live action and animated over...they probably did a motion actor method, like FF7:AC. still, it was brilliant to watch, and the scrap machine desert worms called "Jags" were fantastic!!!

anyways, twas my last day at work yesterday. we went out for a drink afterwards and it was quite a jolly affair. im not gonna miss the job that much, but i am gonna miss my work colleagues. they're a fun and varied bunch...

heh heh heh...i had my hair cut today... i havent had it cut since december. it was getting kinda crazy! but now its back to how it should be... feast your eyes:

my mum had so much fun cutting this -_-#

crazy huh? feels good now.

been spending my money again in a last ditch spendathon before i go. so here we are:

i couldnt decide which Flag to get, so i got em both. ha ha!

my new set of Gundam 00 models...unfortunatly i wont have any time to make them before i leave (i.e TOMORROW) so they're just gonna have to wait for now...at least i've got something to look forward to for when i come home. XD i'll have to come home now! lol

i also bought this:

Reoltech Fraulein 003 Soryu Asuka Langley
she may have been a bitch, but she still needs some love...

my new revoltech fraulein: Asuka Langley Sohryu, from Evangelion. she complements my Revoltech Fraulein Rei Ayanami i bought a coupla of months back perfectly. ^^ i am such a fanboi...

well, thats it from me for now. next time you hear from me i shall be in Maryland, USA. XD

see ya round folks!

ready to go!!!

Yeah~ so I haven’t updated in, like, a week…
Sorry folks…for one reason or another, I just haven’t had the time or energy or motivation to post…

Its still pretty quiet here. I cant believe I'm heading out to America in less than a week. I'm really looking forward to seeing all my friends again. ^^

On Saturday I went out drinking with my work colleagues…we had a good time. ^^ and I didn’t throw up on the train this time…

Earlier last week I bought two short books from Philip Pullman. One is “Lyra’s Oxford” (which I read in about an hour) and the other is “Once Upon a Time in the North”. (which took me a bit longer). Both are set in Pullman’s “His Dark Materials” world, of which the three famous novels come from “The Golden Compass” (Or “Northern Lights” in the UK), “the Subtle Knife” and “The Amber Spyglass”.
“Lyra’s Oxford” is set a little bit after the Trilogy, and focuses on Lyra and her daemon finding and helping a Witches’ daemon in Oxford. The other “Once Upon a Time In the North” is set many years before the Trilogy and chronicles the first meeting of Texan aeronaut Lee Scoresby and Armoured Bear Iorek Byrnison.

They’re both really nice little novelettes…its been a while since I’ve read the original trilogy, but I slipped back into their world quite happily. Following the exploits of both Lyra and Lee, I also once again found myself wishing for a daemon of my own, an animal familiar that is intimately connected to you and is your confidant and friend, another facet of your being… I have no idea what shape my own daemon would be, but I still think it would be awesome.

Later on this week I am going to go see an movie called “Vexille” at the ICA cinema (Institute for Contemporary Arts). It’s a movie that’s done in the same style as the new Appleseed movies, and I'm really looking forward to it. they are also showing both Death Note live action movies at the ICA during this month, but I have no interest in seeing them.

Heh heh, the last movie I saw at the ICA was the Cowboy Bebop movie, many many years ago… nice to see some things don’t change…

Finished my round 4 entry for the mecha tournament I'm in. I won’t find out the results till I'm in America though.

Hi-de-hi’s to certain people returning to MyO after an extended leave of absence. Mew wem, travelling disciple, purgatory, samejima mamimi and yukina123 to name a few. ^^ dunno if we’re gonna see y’all regular like round here, but nice to see you all the same .

That’s it from me today…I m gonna try and post Sunday, but don’t hold your breath…I will also try to post regularly over the summer…

Take care y’all

Uhm, hi…
Yeah, so I didn’t update on Sunday. Did any of you notice? Did any of you care? (put your hand down raina, I know. ;p )

Anyhoo, updating today…

On Saturday I went to see a bunch of comedians at the Bloomsbury theatre where both my younger and older brothers work. (ergo, I got in for free). It was a good night. Most of the comedians were fantastic, the last act being Ed byrnes (or something) who is this Irish Comedian who’s pretty well known in the U.K.
As I was waiting for my brothers outside after the show, Ed came out and was heading off somewhere with an associate. I thanked him for the great show and he thanked me for the compliment. So yeah. My five second brush with fame. XD

Comedian is a funny job (no pun intended) isn’t it? basically this guy is getting paid to stand in front of a bunch of people and make them laugh. When you get right down to it, it’s not exactly a productive job. But then again I guess you could say that about any job in the entertainment industry. Musician, actor, author… not exactly vital jobs for the survival of the human race, but a necessary part of society, no? after all, where would we be without laughter and entertainment?

Just a thought…

I have had a pretty good idea for a Gundam fiction. It’s a kinda sequel to my original Gundam fiction I’ve been writing sporadically on and off for about 5 years now -_-;; I'm about half way through it. but this sequel hopefully wont be too long, and I'm feeling pretty inspired, so I might start writing it soon.

Anyways, I'm in a piccy mood today (when am I not?) so I thought I’d share something random with you all…

The humble locker. Essentially a tiny space for the storage of certain vitals during the working hours. Whether at work or at school, a locker is pretty indistinct and uniform. However, lockers are easily customised to suit their owner. They are a small extension of ourselves.

So without further ado, I present: my locker.

this isn’t the biggest locker I’ve ever had, but it is the nicest.

Here’s a quick rundown: clothes, hat, Dr.Pepper 6-pack (minus two cans), Dairy Milk bar 9-pack (minus 4 bars), batteries, music player, train ticket, and other random miscellanea. On the door is a selection of odds and ends I’ve brought together. Here’s a closer look:

I'm running out of room

Here’s the rundown: (top to bottom)

-Kayleigh doodle
-EM comic I found amusing (http://www.emcartoons.com/)
- my pioneering idea for a replacement to standard SALES tickets.
- Bamboo doodle
- picture of a naked Trina smoking and saying “Whatever”. Drawn with board marker.
- a small article on philosophy with the words “Why are we here?” and “Because its warm and they serve Guinness” underlined with red pen.

So there we have it folks. My work locker.

I did a music meme. Here. Take a gander:

I suck at using the tablet really quickly

Here’s a list of the Tracks if you’re interested:

1: “CENTURY COLOR” from Turn A Gundam
2: “Seven Seas of Rhye” Queen (the words say “bread’s a bit rough today c’apn”)
3: “Submarine Street” Fire Bomber
4: “Fire Wars” JAM Project
5: “Planet Dance” Fire Bomber
6: “Welcome to the Jungle” Guns N Roses
7: “Honto no Jibun” from Shugo Chara
8: “Every little thing she does is magic” John Barrowman
9: “Mighty Wings” Cheap Trick
10: “That’s how you know” from the movie “Enchanted”

So yeah. I was bored.

Anyways, till next time. Whenever that might be!

Huh…ended up being a pretty good day…

Yeah…yesterday was a good day all in all. Sun was shining, I had a pretty good time at work, and I received some stuff in the post. Good stuffs. Like a Laptop Battery. (from china. Go fig.) and t-shirts. That I, like, ACTUALLY ordered and paid for myself. Rather then winning them in a competition or getting hand me downs. Or seeing something in a shop and buying it. I dunno…

Here are my new t-shirts.

oh yes…
this is my fav out of the two, but of course, I love em both

Yup. I have purchased Gundam T-Shirts. Because I am a nerd, and I love Gundam.

Speaking of Gundam:

Under Unicorn Mode

I finished my Gundam Unicorn Master Grade Ver. Ka. Model. It was an utter BEAST to put together, and to be honest, I'm vaguely disappointed with it. Its almost impossible to pose without it falling over. Also, it has a transformation ability, and, as is always the case with Gundam Models that transform (Wing, Wing Zero, Epyon, Aegis, Zeta Plus (especially Zeta Plus) it is very fragile and bits keep falling off randomly. But to be honest, it looks so damned good, I’ll forgive these flaws. I guess I'm just gonna haveta limit my posing of it, and just use it as a centre-piece display item.

It comes with a bazooka too, but that’s even harder to pose than the beam rifle.
Under Unicorn mode is a little easier to pose then its alternate mode
Destroy Mode

This thing is also the biggest 1/100 scale model I own (but only when in destroy mode…it gains about an inch in height). Here’s how it stacks up against my other 1/100 models…

UC MS tend to run in about 18 metres tall…which works out as about 18 cm in model size. Unicorn Destroy Mode is 21m tall…21cm model
my former biggest 1/100 model, my Zeta Plus A1
this is where its gonna stay for a while, till I build a flight stand for it.

So yeah. Me love Gundam. very much.

So, as I was saying, yesterday was a pretty good day. it was actually kinda warm in London, and I had a good day at work. I helped out Sonia, our visual merchandising person with rearranging some of the downstairs shelves to make it work better. Its kinda like Retail Feng Shui. Anyway, it kept me occupied and made the day go a little quicker. I like working with Sonia, she’s fun.

I got go to the dentist tomorrow, for a quick check-up just before I leave for the states. Good thing too, I got a wisdom tooth (ironic, no?) coming up in the back of my mouth. Its been coming up for ages, but everynow and then it makes an actual effort of emerging from the gum, and when it does, my mouth hurts like hell. It was so painful, it actually kept me awake at 4am the other day…not fun. Luckily the night after that I had some Neurofen, a painkiller, and slept like the dead. Awesome. Hopefully the dentist can give some recommendations on how to deal with the tooth. Its probably gonna have to come out at some point, but for the time being, I figure painkillers whenever it flares up is gonna be the order of the day.

Thanks for your comments on my last post. To Dark Phoenix, I know the ice caps are melting… the concern was whether they were gonna melt fast enough to flood the whole world within my life-time. Heh, I forgot about people who get sea-sick…I guess you’ll have to man the little bits of land that are left over for us boat people to come and buy stuff off of. XD

So yeah….boats. ^^

Eh, that’s it from me today. Till next time folks. Keep it real, keep it random and keep coming back here. XD

Ciao.

YAAAAAA~WWWWWWNNNNN!!!!
Man…what a week. sheesh.

It’s been a long one folks. And it’s gonna get longer. Essentially I had two days off on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then from Thursday I have been working, and shall continue to work until this Thursday coming. So, basically a seven days of work. And its been hell, pretty much. Especially with the deliveries we get thrice weekly. Its got to the point where we have no room in the stock room and no room on the shop floor. Yet the warehouse keeps sending us stuff. WE DON’T NEED ANYMORE DAMMIT, WE’RE NOT SELLING IT QUICK ENOUGH!

My store is a huge farce. I swear.

But enough about that. I know y’all didn’t come here to listen to me bitch about work…not that there are many of you still coming. T.T my precious MyO is slowly fading away into the ether…

Highlight of this week was winning last week’s caption competition! Yay! Thanks to Someguy.

Started inking my Mecha Tournament round 4. I'm trying to average 2 pages during my lunch breaks, but my opponent’s mech is such a pain in the rear to draw its taking up a lot of time.

Oh, by the by, I put up Vol 1 of my fiction “See no Evil, Speak No Evil” on my sad excuse for a world the other day. go read it if you have the time. I put it up for publication, but apparently it didn’t make it. stupid narutarded fan-fics…

Been watching/re-reading some of my Dominion New Tank Police stuff recently. Its quite a good manga/anime really. It would be pretty awesome if the police really did go round driving mini-tanks…I’d join the force in a heart-beat.

We were discussing Global Warming the other day at work, and whether the Ice Caps would melt in our life-time. And I came up with the idea that the best thing to do in this day and age would be to Invest in a boat, preferably one big enough to live on. Then you have two outcomes:

1: Global Warming melts the ice-caps and the seas flood most of the world, but you don’t mind, you have a BOAT.

2: Global Warming is a load of BS, we maintain the status quo. Who cares? YOU HAVE A BOAT! About 70% of the planet is covered with water: go wherever you want!

This was the point I was trying to get across, but somehow the whole argument got blown out of proportion, with one of my colleagues Jadine arguing against living on a boat, whilst another of my colleagues, Clements, arguing for. And it had nothing to do with global warming. I won’t go into details, but it turned into quite the argument, especially since Jadine is obstinate, stubborn, impatient, and won’t let you get two words out of your mouth without interrupting and de-railing your train of thought. This is quite annoying when you are trying to state your case, but in the long run, these traits will probably be a good thing, as Jadine is studying to be a lawyer. And she is gonna be a damned good one if she keeps that up…

Anyway, that’s my two cents for today. Remember folks, darke will be posting forever and ever. Tell your friends, and tell their friends too. Come and comment…don’t make me feel like I'm talking to myself…I do that IRL already….

Anyways, till next time!
