Um, oops, I almost forgot to post! Now what to post about? Nothing really happened today to talk about. Boring, I know. But hey, at least it wasn’t bad.

And man, it would seem there has been an outbreak of spammers lately. Do these people join in packs or something? Meh.

Yep, today was theme change day. For those of you unfamiliar with Naruto, no that is not Sasuke-kun in all the imagines. It’s Itachi before he went evil, and I mean, way evil. Itachi good?! Yeah, weird concept isn’t it?

Okay, since this post is pointless and probably boring, I’ll end it here. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Sorry for not making it to everyone’ sites yesterday. I just needed a little break. And I apologize again for not putting everyone’s button up. I really can’t fit any more up, there is simply no more room. So the current ones that are up are going to be the only ones up. Sorry.

I have been watching a lot of Ranma lately. I admit, it’s the first time I’ve watched the series. And I have to say I like it. It’s quite silly, but there isn’t anything wrong with that. It makes a good laugh once in a while.

And since I’m too tired to write anything else, a picture. I love Shampoo!

Today has been pretty boring. Didn’t get my pic finished, didn’t get either of my stories updated, yeah I’ve been pretty brain-dead today on a whole. So instead of getting into my boring day, something more interesting…

I just posted a prelude version of a picture for dancing chaos’ contest, just for my own feedback. I personally think she looked much better in pencil. But I am trying to practice this inking and coloring thing. Heh, as everyone can guess, black and white is more of my specialty. The colored version of Hiroe should hopefully be done tomorrow. It took all afternoon and evening to draw that pic though. I’m not used to this freehand stuff of making up costumes and that on my own. But I have to say, it was kinda fun. Like playing dress up. And if anyone is interested, her scimitar says, “The lamp of the wicked will be put out.” It’s a literal translation of a line from the Bible. As she’s half angel, I thought it fit. A cookie to anyone who can find all the multitude of crosses hiding in her outfit. ^_^

In other news: I keep losing guest book entries. -_- Not the most breaking or shocking news, but hey. =P

Yeah, today was pretty boring, so there really isn’t anything else to say.

Man, Shan-chan has been all around myO today! I’ve politely told off three spammers and one flamer. At least my resident spammer has apologized and it’s been quiet all day. Funny thing is, I only started to get mildly forceful with him. I should really have done that days ago I guess. At least he seems to have backed off finally. And yes, I am starting to get slightly aggressive with these jerks. I do NOT tolerate spammers, end of story.

Ah, booness. My entire artist rating dropped a bunch over the weekend. Looks like a lot of people had fun voting ‘no’ without leaving any helpful comments. I wish people would tell me why they don’t like it, but I’m not even going to get started on this rant tonight.

Alright my fellow Otakus. This is going to be a different type of post for me. No quotes, no facts, or rants… just thoughts. I would say plain and simple, but I’m hardly either. So, I hope you can understand me, and that you appreciate the effort.

Why do I love children?

Humans by nature have many faces. A face we show to our parents, one to our friends, and another to teachers, and so on. They are all different in their complexity and the emotion that one is structured to show. Our friends would laugh at and scorn the one we show to our teachers. It’s a process we all go through… the building of these faces.

Which one of these many faces that we wear is the real us? Or are they all us? Each a delicate strand of the web we spin to handle this cacophony called life. All these faces are us, just as every strand of a web is needed for solidarity. They are the walls we need to protect us from the world abroad. Each face molded to fit the situation it is intended for. Did you know, that by the time a child is six, they have formed their problem solving patterns? I often wonder if the faces start to take shape when this process happens. Do our mental defenses form after our major break through in problem solving? After all, aren’t these faces just a solution to the problem of how to deal with the world around us? How to fit in?

The reason I love children? These faces do not exist yet, or they are in their simplest form. When a child smiles... they do so for the pleasure of smiling, and not because it’s the socially acceptable thing to do. They are simple, straight and narrow. What you see is what you get. This new, yet age old concept, of simplicity, purity if you will, fascinates me.

And that my friends, is why I love children.
