Random Thoughts

I’m tiiiiiired! Blah, and my muscles are so tired, stiff, and achy it’s miserable to stand for too long or walk around. Not fun. The husband is sick as well. Heh, it took the collective effort of both of us to load the dishwasher. How pathetic, ne?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I will not tolerate people flaming/ spamming my friends or anyone here at myO. That is all I’m going to say on the matter.

I am thinking of putting my Haku theme up soon. Not that I don’t like team 7 or anything. It’s just this one is so... um, pink. Which can only be stood in small doses. o_O Nothing against those that like pink, of course. But Haku is so pretty. ^_^

What else… oh yeah!

THAT welcomes Elske29 and KenderKiller123!!!

Humor

Urgh, I’ve felt crappy ALL day. For once the weather was gorgeous out. It was finally dry and sorta sunny, but I didn’t feel like going outside to enjoy it. How ironic. Heh, and that’s really all I have to say. And since I don’t have anything better, some relevant humor.

Beck, this one is for you hikari! ^_^

What I Learned About Hurricanes in Florida in 2004

Credit Rex Rexroat

Post Hurricane Floridian Humor

Some things I learned in Florida this past month:

1. Coffee and frozen pizzas can be made on a BBQ
grill.

2. No matter how many times you flick the switch,
lights don't work without electricity.

3. Kids can survive 4 plus days without a video game
controller in their hands.

4. Cats are really irritating without power.

5. He who has the biggest generator wins.

6. Women can actually survive without doing their
hair--you just wish they weren't around you.

7. A new method of non-lethal torture - showers
without hot water. This is for the lucky ones on city
water. If you have a well and no generator, it's time
to bathe in the pool!

8. TV is an addiction and the withdrawal symptoms are
painful.

9. A 7 lb bag of ice will chill 6-12 oz Budweiser's to
a drinkable temperature in 11 minutes, and still keep
a 14-pound turkey frozen for 8 more hours.

10. There are a lot of trees around here.

11. Flood plan drawings on some mortgage documents
were seriously wrong.

12. Contrary to most Florida natives' beliefs, the
speed limit on roads without traffic lights does not
increase.

13. Aluminum siding, while aesthetically pleasing, is
definitely not required to keep your house standing,
and during wind surges becomes flying weapons.

14. Just because you're over 21 doesn't mean you can
stay out as late as you want. At least that's what the
cops told me during a curfew stop.

15. Crickets can increase their volume to overcome the
sound of 14 generators.

16. People will get into a line that has already
formed without having any idea what the line is for.

17. When required, most any vehicle will
float--doesn't steer well, but floats just the same.

18. Hurricanes do keep the mailman from his appointed
rounds.

19. Tele-marketers function no matter what the weather
is doing.

20. Cell phones sometimes work when land lines are
down, but only as long as the battery remains charged.

21. Twenty-seven of your neighbors are fed from a
different transformer than you, and they are quick to
point that out!

22. Laundry hampers were not made to contain such a
volume.

23. If I had a store that sold only ice, chainsaws,
gas, and generators...I'd be rich.

24. The price of a bag of ice rises 200% after a
hurricane.

25. Your water front property can quickly become
someone else's fishing hole.

26. Tree service companies are under appreciated.

27. MATH 101: 30 days in month, minus 6 days without
power equals 30% higher electric bill ?????

28. Drywall is a compound word, take away the "dry"
part and it's worthless.

And joy, we may all yet get to do it again when Jeanne comes.

No man is ever old enough to know better

Well the Internet is now back! Yay! Yesterday was a bit crazy in this area. What was left of Ivan smacked right into a cold front and the weather was not happy. Tornados were literally springing up ALL around the area, one right after the other, constantly. At one point there was one heading in our direction, but it dissolved before it got here. Let me tell ya, when you see a National Weather Service warning that say “take cover now! Get underground immediately!” it gets your attention. The tornados have finally passed, but we are still under river and regular flood warnings as the rivers are beginning to flood in the area. Heh, so the ones that didn’t get blown away can still get washed away. Joy for us.

Oh, an interesting story. The husband called the airport he works at in Hagerstown, and as he was talking to the people, they watched and described as the funnel of a tornado formed, touched the ground, and went right across the interstate. The dude in the flight tower actually saw the debris falling out of the thing on the radar screen. o_O

Well, that’s it for tonight, I am tired. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

When the blind leadeth the blind... get out of the way.

Last night sucked. It was one of those nights were you lay there ALL night long, but can’t get to sleep. I seriously didn’t sleep at all last night and gave up on the idea and got up a 7:30 this morning. Needless to say, I’m tired, so there isn’t going to be too much to tonight’s post.

Oh, and that Haku stick figure in my gallery is for Milky! For her amusement and contest. Flame it and DIE.

-------------------------------

I thought these were cute. A first grade teacher collected old, well-known proverbs. She gave each kid in her class the first half of a proverb, and had them come up with the rest:

As you shall make your bed so shall you... mess it up.

Better to be safe than... punch a 5th grader.

Strike while the... bug is close.

It's always darkest before... daylight savings time.

Never underestimate the power of... termites.

You can lead a horse to water but... how?

Don't bite the hand that... looks dirty.

A miss is as good as a... Mr.

You can't teach an old dog new... math.

If you lie down with the dogs, you'll... stink in the morning.

Love all, trust... me.

Happy the bride who... gets all the presents!

A penny saved is... not much.

Two's company, three's... the Musketeers.

If at first you don't succeed... get new batteries.

You get out of something what you... see pictured on the box.

When the blind leadeth the blind... get out of the way.

------------------------------------------------------------

THAT welcomes Snow Angel, halfbeast, hieiartemis, RyudoStarwind, and Eula Giffon!!!

EDIT: Yet once again photobucket is down, so no, you don't have to tell me you can't see anything.

EDIT (again): Mep! There are tornados forming like EVERYWHERE all around our area. And one is head for our city, oh joy. -_-

Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

I apologize for not getting to everyone yesterday! Gomen! I promise I’ll get to everyone today! I really do!

I have been working on a Hellsing collage of sorts this evening. Its not quite finished. Maybe I’ll post the inked version here when it’s done, to see what people think. It took a really, really long time to draw! I hope everyone will like it. Then I just have to figure out what to do with it after that. o_O I think if I ever get this pic done, I’m going to draw Walter next. I love that old Angel of Death! He so rocks.

Gah! I wish boxtorrents would hurry it up! I want my Ranma! Er… sorry about that.

Aww, I was supposed to go to an air show this weekend and see the A-10 Thunderbolts fly, but it got canceled. BOO! For those of you who don’t know, those are also referred to as Warthogs… they are the planes known as tank busters. I wanted to see them fly. *Sighs* Oh well, maybe next time.

I guess that’s about it. Have a good day everyone!

EDIT: The Hellsing sketch is up! That took a long time to draw, flame it and die.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

I finally finished Hellsing today. And that confirms it, Arucard is like THE bad ass of bad asses! And as you can see I’ve Hellsing-ed up the site. ^_^

Been reading a lot of the Ranma manga also. I love Ranma, he’s such a cutie. Didn’t really do to much else today, so this is going to be a short post.

D’oh, I’ve been forgetting some people! THAT welcomes crobo and dbzsayianprincess!!

Aren’t they cute?

Monster! / I get that a lot.

Still feeling a little crappy today, but much better than the past couple of days. Heh, so I haven’t really done much so far this weekend besides watch more Ranma and Hellsing. Man, I really  Arucard! I finally got caught up with sites only to fall behind again yesterday. -_- I promise to try and get to everyone today though!

Thanks for all those who commented on the Itachi pic. ^_^ It took sooo long to shade that, so I appreciate it.

Hmm, not really too much to say tonight, so how about a little Hellsing goodness? I love that crazy man... err, vampire!

Tadaima!

Current Mood: Sick, boo
Listening to: Shine from Hellsing.

Hello again everyone! It’s been a while and I apologize. I was just taking a little break of sorts. Thanks for everyone who kept visiting and commenting during that time! I also have the flu. -_- BOO. It’s only the start of fall! Not fair!

Oh! I finally finished the Itachi pic I was working on and it’s now posted. I’d appreciate any feedback on it. It took a really long time to shade.

Anime:

Gravitation: I did get to watch Gravitation finally! Yay for the yaoi goodness that is Gravitation! This show has seriously moved up into my top favorites list. I love it, I love it! Hehe, and the voice actor that does Yuki is the same guy that does Kakashi-sensei! I knew that voice was familiar when I first started watching it. It fits Yuki well, cause I’ve always thought Kakashi had a sexhey voice.

Naruto 100: Wow, can you believe Naruto is up to 100 episodes?! But they are all so good! (Spoiler alert: highlight it to read) Man, I loved the Gai and Lee moments of this episode. This was another one where they turned up that Naruto sentimentality again. I always knew Gai really favored Lee.
But wow, to say they’d die together? Gai really has found a purpose in life I suppose. It was so sweet! And of course they break out the Sadness and Sorrow song to make it all the sadder. I seriously would have thought Lee would have been for the surgery anyway, before Tsunade-sama raised the odds a little bit. I mean, Lee is ALL about showing he can be a great ninja. He couldn’t live without being one.
Heh, and I can’t tell in that one comment Neji makes to Lee whether he’s insulting him, or actually complimenting him. o_O With Neji, it all sorta sounds the same. And I found the paper, rock, scissors competition between Kakashi and Gai the coolest thing ever. Gai was doing his, ‘honest man, cool pose.’ How great. =P

And finally, I’ll leave you with a little Yuki/ Shuichi-ness!

Laughter is higher than all pain. -Elbert Hubbard

Heh, photobucket was down for a good while today. Half the comments were “nice theme” the other half were “I can’t see anything.” It was kind of entertaining. And now… it’s time for some weird stuffs.

Did you know… ?

Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories. (Who wants to try? Lets go!)

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.

A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Isn’t that creepy?)

The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field.

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people.

Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump.

And now that you are enlightened with useless info… a demotivator.
