Luke 2(NIV)

The Birth of Jesus:
1. In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2.(This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3. And everyone went to his own town to register.
4. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7. and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

The Shepherds and the Angels:
8. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. 12. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14. “Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”

15. When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

16. So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18. and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Hey everyone! Well, I'll be leaving for my grandparents house tomorrow in Florida. I'm excited, it's gonna be so nice to see my cute little cousins again! Well, since I'm not sure when I'll be able to get on to MyO again I thought I'd better do this early:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Yes, I hope you guys have a fantastic holiday with your families or whoever you're having Christmas with. But please don't forget the real meaning of Christmas! If I get a chance I'm gonna try to post the first Christmas story for you guys to read. So yeah, remember the CHRIST in Christmas. It's not about Santa, it's not about presents, it is all about Jesus coming to Earth. So please think about it that way!

And since we won't be back until Jan 2:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Hope you guys have a fantstic Christmas! laters...

Hey everyone! Oh my, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? Sorry about that. Well, I’ve finally finished my first semester of college. It’s so nice to wake up and not have to rush and go do something. And no tests to study for, that’s the best part. I think I did pretty well, on my exams. And my grades are the same as they were at midterm: all A’s except one B+. So I’m very happy about that ^_^

As I’m sure you’ve already noticed, I’ve changed my site...again. I know I just changed it less than a month ago, but I wasn't entirely satisfied with it, so I went with something I’ve never done before. This is my first non-anime theme—that I can think of that is. Yeah, I’m a huge fan of Lemony Snicket. My brother and I went to the movie Friday night and it was sooooo cool!!! Oh my goodness, I cannot get over how great it was. If you like the books, you’ll love the movie. If you’ve never read the books (like my brother), you’ll love the movie just as much (like my brother did). And the end credits are the coolest, most stylish, gorgeous looking credits I’ve ever seen. My brother’s an artist so anything that has nice design, artwork, ect. gets him excited. It was so funny because he was going ballistic over the credits. As we were sitting there he looked at me with huge eyes and said, “These credits are 30 times better than the movie itself...which was really good!” So yes, this movie has my brother and my stamp of approval...not that that matters to anyone I’m sure ^_^;;

Well, I should probably go fold the laundry now. I’ve been cleaning most of the morning and just left it sitting on the floor so I could write this. Don’t you feel special? I chose you all over my laundry. I’m sure I just made your day ^_^;;

Well, hope you guys have a great week!laters...

Hey everyone! Oh goodness, the past two days have been great! Yesterday was great, well, Sunday’s normally are, but yesterday I watched a new anime. R.O.D. the TV. Oh my, what a cool show! I watched about three episodes of it on TechTV. The characters were just sooo cool, and their house, man I hope mine looks like that. Stacks of books everywhere, a bookworm’s paradise ^_^ I really like the character designs too, all in all a great show. Today was fantastic because some books I ordered off Ebay came in. I ordered four Ray Bradbury books for under four dollars (including shipping and handling!) He’s one of my favorite authors so I went ballistic! I got Dandelion Wine (my fav of his), The Martian Chronicles, A Medicine for Melancholy, and The Golden Apples of the Sun. I’ve only read the first two, so I’m excited. Oh and as for college, I got my mid-term grade last week. I was very pleased; I got all A’s except for one B+. My GPA’s 3.64 which is the highest I’ve ever had, so that was great! Well, I hope you guys have a great week! laters...

Hey everyone! Here's a little survey I stole from Blue Hawk ^_^ enjoy!

1. Who are you?
2. Are we friends?
3. When and how did we meet?
4. Do you have a crush on me?
5. Would you kiss me?
6. Give me a nickname and explain why.
7. Describe me in one word.
8. What was your first impression [of me]?
9. Do you still think that way about me now?
10. What reminds you of me?
11. If you could give me anything what would it be?
12. How well do you know me?
13. When's the last time you saw me?
14. Ever wanted to tell me something but couldn't?
15. Are you going to put this on your journal and see what I say about you?
16. What song are you listening to right now?
17. Do you love me?

Well, I hope you all are having a great week, and I hope everyone's weekend is splendid! Oh and before I forget *stand on platform and yells dramatically*

"Remeber, remember the fifth of November! Gunpowder, treason and plot! We see no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot!"

Yeah, that's about the one thing I learned from British Lit. Happy Guy Fawkes day! laters...

Hey everyone! In celebration for 4000 visits (THANKS YOU GUYS!!!!) my two favorite quotes:

"When the artist is alive in any person, whatever his kind of work may be, he becomes an inventive, searching, daring, self-expresive creature. He becomes interesting to other people. He disturbes, upsets, enlightens, and opens ways for a better understanding. Where those who are not artists are trying to close the book, he opens it and shows there are still more page possible."
-Robert Henri, "The Art Spirit"

And now, a quote that cracks me up every time I read it:

A Poetic Fool

"Sir, I admit your general rule,/ That every poet is a fool,/ But you yourself may serve to show it,/ That ever fool is not a poet."
-Alexander Pope

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed reading those, and hope your day is going fantastically, have a great weekend! And thanks again everyone *hugs*

Hey everyone! Well, college is still flowing smoothly. Oh, I even got an "A" on my first ever test in college, I was so happy ^_^ The class is a pretty tough one too, History of Civilizaton O.o The teacher aso said this test was the easiest test he's give us...which didn't help -_-

The situation with Nathan (see previous post) is still up in the air. He did compliment my outfit the other day, and we say hi in passing a lot, but that's about it...

hmm...anything else to say?...oh, I watched Gods and Generals with my brother the other night. Oh goodness, that movie is so good! I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It was really sad too, goodness, I cried so hard when the Northen Irish regiment fought the Southern irish regiment...so sad -_-; It did make me proud to be a southerner though...I'm not exactly proud that my state was the first to sucede...cecede...good grief, how do you spell that?! but, yay for the south anyway ^_^ (sorry Northerners!)

Hope you guys are having a great wekk! laters...

Hey everyone! Oh, I've missed you guys!!! *hugs* I can't stay on too long though so this might be a short post. College is going great! I'm lovin' every minute ^_^ Oh, and for all who were wondering I was able to get the schedule I wanted. I had a doctor appointment scheduled for when I was supposed to make my schedule so they let me do it early! I was so relieved! Classes are going pretty good, nothing too bad...yet ^_^;; My brother and his girlfriend are having a fun time playing matchmaker with me. Okay, there's a guy I like. This is the first crush I've had since I was 11...so I'm a little unsure about it all ^_^;; Anyways, he's such a great guy, shandy blonde hair, blue eyes, and honestly the sweetest guy I've ever met! The other day I was talking with my brother and Nathan, the guy I like, walked up. I was super shy and didn't say anything, then my brother was like,"Oh, I gotta go do something!", he turned and gave me a wink and walked off. I was so close to just walking into the building without saying anything, but I forced my self to turn and started talking to Nathan. We ended up talking for about 10 mins! It was so great =^^= Well, I better be going now! Hope you guys have a great day! *hugs tightly* laters...
