Awsm!

Ok, so I picked up a Shinai after work the other day. You may be asking, "why did he do this?" The answer is simple. I'm doing some fitness training. I'm toning down my upper body, improving my muscle control, cardio-system, and breathing ability all at the same time this way.

So now I'm trying to do at least 500 strikes a day (the basic up down strike that one sees Yahiko all the time in the Kenshin series). I'm planning to work my way up to 1000 strikes... but by then I'll be like Guy from Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken.

Also.. I need to start back on my Japanese language classes.

I plan to make a wallpaper again soon.. but to tide you people over... watch this video of people with more time on their hands than I've ever had!

Workin

Yes, I am! I am working... Actually I went to work yesterday... started at 7 and ended at 7 that night... 12 hours at work! Astounding! (Which ends up being 8 hours of work and 3.5 hours of overtime)

That gives me about 27.5 hours of regular paid work (realizing the time-and-a-half system for overtime pay). What did I do this week? Mainly training.. but yesterday afternoon I finally got to go up one of the turbines.

Not sure how many people have seen them.. but these turbines are the wind turbines (i.e. the big white fans that have the red light at night, hehe). I climbed the approximated 270-300 feet (80-100 meters, approx). This is big for me.. why? Because I'm scared to death of heights (dunno why, I think climbing is awsm!) But I made it all the way to the top of the tower and actaully got some work done!

Anyway.. that's where I've been and what I'm doing. It's about an hour's drive to the site which is why I haven't been around much... I was going to write this yesterday.. but I got in late and needed to get up early... at least I thought I did.. I found out at about 7 that I didn't need to get up at 5:15 because I didn't have work today after all.

Finally.

Ok, so my review finally was placed up by the nice staff (my friends, hehe) at TSW. If you're interested in reading it then click here I won't elongate the page here to annoy the rest of you.. (as the review is quite long anyway...)

Added note! I started working today... which means it's just training... but that wont' last for too much longer! Waking up at 5:15 AM and getting to work by 7! This is awsm... Driving in the dark...

Until later... I shall now attempt to cruise my friends' sites for a bit. Watch for me if I drop by!

Sonic and the Secret Rings

Ok.. I picked up a copy of SatSR yesterday before lunch... I didn't get home until 1:30 to 2... The game came out Wed so I was a day late anyway... I finished the whole storyline a few hours ago. Supposedly the game's story should take 10 to 15 hours to play through... however I was driven (partly by 1337 50n1< gaming skillz, partly by the fact that it's my volunteer job) to beat it as quickly as possible.. so with interruptions and time wasted during game I finished it in 8.7.... take that!

Anyway.. my review should be up on TSW in a few days (preferrably tonight.. but I don't think that's gonna happen). When it goes up I'll post the link... seriously... if you have the system... buy the game! It's like Sonic Rush in 3D!

Yes, CecilTactition showed me how to make his fire effect... Fortunately it can be mimicked in Photoshop... I'll need to work with it before I can even get close to his fire though.

Hmm... slightly messy

Aye.. slightly messy... Now I just need to find a way to stretch the background so it fills the whole browser window... maybe... or I might just fade out the edges and blur everything in.. hmm...
For some reason I can't get a smaller, different background to show up within the post boxes.

Other than that... I think all I'm really missing is cleaning up the navbar... It looks better in IE right now. Must be something about the codes not reflecting in normal Firefox. If nothing else, I need to figure out how to just remove the overall border and background for it and just leave the stuff in their own personal boxes.

Anyone got any suggestions? (Suggestions on wallpapers to make would be cool... but hey, it's whatever). I am ashamed to say that I don't really know HTML or CSS... just some basics and a knowledge of programming logic. Hence why this small upgrade is taking so long. My apologies.

Seen

So, I watched the first episode of the new Naruto series. A few friends who'd already seen it really built it up for me... no more... I shall no longer listen to others before I watch something (this is not a vow 'cause it'll probably be broken before next week).

I must say that the episode just wasn't as dynamic and exciting as some people told me. It was good (a whole lot better than filler eps). But it was a "welcome back" kind of episode. The next episode is the one I'm waiting for. Yes I did enjoy watching it... but from the way it started and the way my friends built it up I was figuring something more epic was going to happen. Oh well.

Yes... Just gotta figure out where I want to place blueness and which colors need changing... the hardest part is making something that works on all resolutions... mine's at 1280 x 1024... others have 800x600... so I have to somehow get it to fit other screens... 'tis messy.
I plan to try and fix it soon.. pretty much meaning that tomorrow I hope to get on and do stuff like cruise my friends' sites and update my own.. but for now I must leave.

Good 'nuff!

Haha, finally. Thanks Shishou.. The codes you gave me... well they got my avatar revealed... but they did so by placing another avatar... I think I could've worked things out by putting enough breaks before the css table to keep the image revealed... Instead I just aligned the profile table to the left and made it thinner... so it didn't cover over the avatar or the text.

Your code would've worked great... just I would've had to change the code every time I changed my avatar... not much of a problem but formatting for the text would've been difficult with my currently limited knowledge.

So now things are good enough to go. Firefox has it's own problems but they don't matter 'cuase thigns still look cool. I think I need to go back and work with the background... 'cause the site needs more blueness... and I need to add some eye pleasing pictures in places (like the profile box.. or permanent-place something as a title bar over the post boxes or on the left side or something... just to add flavour.

Closer

Thanks Shishou! That got me a lot closer.. only problem left is getting the Avatar picture to come out right... other than that there's just some minor structure things and design stuff I'll probably take a look into adjusting later.

Amazing! We have snow here again! It's amazing how many times I've actually gotten snow in my area this winter... just astounding!

Dunno...

Hmm... I'm not sure what's wrong... nearly everything works in FireFox... but IE seems to cut off the right side of stuff... It's like the word wrap feature doesn't work... hmm... this isn't good for the majority of 'net users... hmm...

As for the small pic... I'm not sure what's wrong there... might have something to do with the other problem as well.. guess I'll have to keep working on it.
