Its a day early...
but something tells me that I won't be able to get on tomorrow. So the anniversary picture pic is being posted a day early.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

If you can't read it, please tell me!!

Response to comments:

1. Re: my pictures. You all really liked them. I'm glad.

2. my second year here...like Lordsesshoumaru said, it isn't common to run into veterans of 2 years and more.

Blue eyes: yeah freaky aint it? Now even I can't help but wonder how I tolerated it in summer.

hColleen: I understand completey..online you can be as bold as you want, even lie, and no one can tell. Thus, people say and do things they would normally be mortified to say in public.

Onto the daily grind...
The online class starts tomorrow (math). I hope that I didn't waste money on a class that I can't handle...but I think I'll be fine.

The party I told you about was this Saturday. It was wonderful, a bit warm, but wonderful, and it was an outside party. The best part was the first dance, which my parents had claim on. It was so sweet! (didn't dance...had too much fun mingling with friends old and new, and my adorable kid cousins!!)The food was excellent too. We even took some home.

Our family has a habit of making too much food and having tons left over. It must be genetic or something.

Welp, Shani out.

3 days till...
my 2nd anniversary here!!!

I even have a little photoshopped image I made in Photoshop to commemorate the occasion. You'll have to wait to see it. Hopefully I can post in on the 29th, but I can't gurantee it.

Oh, found some more pics of me as a kid. Thought I would share them.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Junior High age...you can see my hair is still long, and very curly. Beside me is my brother.

Us with our collie dog, Jack. He now is with another family member who has a farm.

Now, response to comments:

Tiggerola: No way...Mickey Rooney in CARE BEARS?! Wow. Scarey.

Blue eyes: sure, you can have a cyber dragon, even a BEWD. Just don't cause havoc too much, k?

LS: most of the actors I named are pretty well-known. Older movies rock.

hColleen: I don't blame you...after watching Young Frankenstein I would need to get up and move around too.

Life is going good for me. I have more msn buddies, and school starts on monday, which means I get to hang around kids again as part of my ED 10 course. Yay!!!

Hm...welp, thats all for now.

Oh wait, never mind what I said. Daff-Power and I roleplayed a bit on MSN. He'll be posting it on monday, so if you want to read it, check it out on sunday.

Shani out.

Hi guys! Thanks so much for commenting, that has been the highlights of my day reading them.

Responses:

Blue eyes: um...how does a cyber puppy sound? Will it help calm your down? Wait..you never calm down.

Number 5: I've been missing a few days of my friends posts too...oh well. Tis life.
I've had to become photogenic somewhat ever since my mom got her digital camera. All of us, even the pets, sometimes only have a moment to pose before the picture is taken. lol.
I did have long hair..until I cut it a few years ago. Now the longest I've had it is shoulder length.

EAMR: If elaine's dancing is that funny, I'll have to check it out then. :) No problem supporting you, you deserve it.

hColleen: If that quote is true, then I'll be fine at the party, yes? :)

So...now that that is out of the way, how are you guys? Me, I've been proofreading a lot for fellow Gaians. It would have come sooner or later...I just seem to attract those who need it.

At this moment am watching the end of a movie, A Mad Mad Mad Mad World. It was filmed in 1963, but it is quite funny! The cast is great too. Mickey Rooney, Don Knotts, Spencer Tracy, Milton Berle, Sid Caesar, Buddy Hacket, Jonathon Winters, and Edie Adams.

Not sure how many of you know those names, but they are they really are star actors.

Welp, now its off to visiting sites!

Happy Day!!
Ever since last night, I have been full of peace...nothing has spoiled my day yet! Yay for working through issues!

I was wrong about this friday being the party I told you about. Just found out this weekend is the one where my dad is a guest speaker at a church, not the party...oh well. It gives me more work hours.

I'm so glad you all like the pic's. Apparantly I am brave for posting my own pics. Blue eyes comment was the best though: "*jaw drops* Crap...you wern't kidding when you said you used to look like me. I got better glasses though. And longer hair. Muuuch longer. Lol.
AWWWWWW! Baby piccie!!!! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^"

Now to respond to the rest of the comments.

hColleen: you commented!! *grins* You ended on an interesting note with "And you can find free things...if you know where to look :D"

Magnus Lensherr: I can relate to you...I don't make friends easily, so I only have a few, and that includes online friends. Have fun rethinking your life.

Niko: thanks for the encouragement! ;)

LS: yeah, the 2-for-1 deal is cheap, but ... it does save money, and thats all I care about.

EAMR: I haven't seen Seinfeld much...so I have no idea of the horror that is Elaine's dancing. HOwever I do know that I knew few moves...just moving around and hoping I don't look stupid. (though...I did learn some moves while on the cruise).
Hehe, the systems my brother owns still work, actually. Their just dusty is all. He wants to sell them :(

SessLover18: You would be surprised how many people like the heat, ya know. I think its just for tanning though.

Me with some school acquaintances. I don't say friends, because we weren't, but got along anyway.

Me and my brother as children.

Same. You can see just how long my hair was. Also note the huge glasses.

Response to comments:

Chiharu: "In what kind of online forums do you participate? I do a lot of role playing. It's great fun. ^_^"
1. Gaia online.
2. Reikai Cafe (Yu Yu Hakusho focused. if you are interested in seeing it, let me know!)
3. Common Thread (christian)
4. Christianity.com (duh)
I also have one other forum I am not active in. Sheesh 4 forums!

SessLover18: "awww me love baby pictures ^^ well the summer heat is almost over so now people can celebrate! ^^"
This is not entirely true...some people LIKE the scorching heat. But I will be celebrating.

LordSesshomaru: ""Cheap" is my second favorite price. My favorite price is "free". ^_^"
Amen!!! However, there is no such thing as a free lunch no more.

Tiggerola: "oh cool, a typwriter! Welcome back! were any of us ever that young? I suppose since I can still remember a lot of my non existing childhood..."
Yes, amazingly we were. Sadly, childhood is shrinking even more though. How unfortunate for the new generations.

Mishotarup:"Awwww, I get to see baby Shanikun!! Well said, lordsesshomaru. Cheap is good, free is better."
Yep, yep. Enjoy the pics!

Nikorasu: "I couldn't use a typewriter. I need the delete key and spellcheck."
Yes, I sorely miss that. However, I will improve with time I think.

Chiharu: "Yay for cheap! I like that saying: "I got it for cheap."

I'd like to go to a store and find something with a price tag that says "$cheap" and then you go to the register and hand the cashier a $cheap dollar bill. The only bad thing about that would be getting paychecks. "How much money did you make this week, Bob?" "Only $cheap.""
LOL this made me laugh. Yes, that would be funny!

EAMR: "Welcome back!!

LOL! My friend is the same way with collecting old stuff like that. He loves collecting old computers and TVs^_^"
Long live geeks!! (and old technology). I bet your friend also has some old videogame systems too--they still rock.

Ok, now down to the mundane details of my life.
Work is work. I get a big paycheck soon too! It would be nice to have another employee to help the boss though-he always looks so tired.
I can't wait until Friday, cause its a party in honor of my parents anniversary, complete with a DJ. Dance floor, here I come! (lets hope I don't make a fool of myself in front of family).
Hm...lesee...give me some writing challenges (about 2 pages worth). I'll even dedicate them to you (as a bonus, realy. I just need to keep honing my writing). Keep in mind no male male relationships (yaoi).

Welp, till next time, Shani.

Thank you all!!
I am so thankful for the welcomes back. Now I won't be so bored, and can post some pics of me as a kid (yes, me as a kid. amazing).

Some of you commented on the heat and working in it. Yeah, it sucks, and no, I don't always get water in me, but I try my best. I do work in a kitchen, so its no big to get a glass of water.

My mom got me an electronic typewriter for me this week, for cheap (I love that kind of stuff!)It's cool, so I am gonna write a short piece and use it to make a final copy of it. Yay!!

Welp, I'm out.

Yes, I'm still alive
Believe it or not, I could actually get on today, and miracle of miracles, see my comments for the last 2 posts.

Regarding my second to last post, I read your suggestion for names for the brat. I'll consider both name, Micheal and Matt.

Ho hum...

lesse, stuff I did during my break
-Gaia
-online forums
-some writing
-helping outside with our garbage--er stacks of memories like pictures, furniture, ect. Don't you love storage?
-reading more
-betaing
-work

Notice how work was at the bottom? *grins* Its a pain to work in this heat, but hey, I can't complain too much.

So...I'll be catching up with the world here, so it may be awhile before I come around to you all.
Ja!

edit: while cleaning out my inbox, I found that I had become a member of a club against dubbing some time ago...I just now put the code up.

*glomps all of her friends*
Gosh, MyO doesn't let me on for 2 days (stupid connection) and I felt so bored and deprived.

It shows just how much time I spend here.

The only damper to my joy is that I clicked on my comments box to read them...and they wouldn't show up). *frowns*

*clears throat* anyways, enough abuot me. How have you been during my short absence?

Man, I'm tired.
Mood: tired
Watching: teen Titans

My boss has been needing me almost all week! Sure its good for my paycheck, but I usually have one day to rest my body, particuarly my wrists. *sighs*

For those of you who are interested, I have 3 new ficlets up at my fanfiction.net account.

Now, for response to comments.

Niko: no way! you met the guy who voiced ED? (who is he, by the way?)

LS: Futurama I have grown to tolerate, but Family guy...feh. Forgot to mention that I also watched Bebob, and like the dubbing really well too. My favorite is Faye, out of the the 2 eppies I have seen.

EAMR: It was horrible, but hey, at 12:30 am, it's more funny than a sin. The sharp voices totally ruin it...I hate to think how they butcher Sango's voice.

Sango: I understand your reason for preferring subbed anime...I do too. Most series tend to wreck the entire thing with voice casting alone.

Kevmart: your comment made me laugh for some reason..yes I did watch Cowboy Bebop (it slipped my mind, it seems), and the voice acting is great!
You seem puzzled why I prefer subbed anime...just read the above response (and yes, I don't watch the simpsons either).

Blue eyes: my poor friend...you keep on telling me to get to sleep earlier and I never listen. Never fear, I will sleep better when fall comes. And far as poor goes on Gaia...i'm now about 2500 gold, so...nyah!

Lastly, I'm gonna post a little story beginning, that oddly enough, came to me at the tail end of work, so when I got home, I hightailed it to the compy and wrote it down. Please tell me what you think of it and how I can further write it.
______________
The Brat

[insert name here] could only be described as devious. To the entire neighbor hood, he was a demon in disguise. To his teachers he was predicted a bona fide high school drop out. To extended family, he was evil, but to his parents he was an angel.

His role models were Calvin and Hobbes and Dennis the Menace. He studied the comic pages for inspiration (enlisting his idiot parents to help him read them, as he was only in second grade). To his disappointment, he could not secure a pet tiger that could speak and aid him in his schemes, nor was there a grumpy old man close by who he could in particular bug the stuffing out of.

He made do with the school principal, who dreaded his daily visit to his office. He was a short, wiry man who dressed in professional attire and wore spectacles, a man not afraid of angry parents or committee members, but paled at the mere mention of [insert name]’s name.

He was proud of his accomplishment. In fact, he was already plotting for his junior high years after he would miraculously graduate from elementary.

His parents continued to be fooled by his masquerade, for which he was content. He had his whole life planned out, he was sure.
_____________

As you can see, I have no name for the guy. any tips?
