I'm back!!!!
Yes, after being gone for so long without telling you anything, I finally was able to log in after resetting my password (I had forgotten it, see).

so...since it would be ridiculous to try to catch up, feel free to tell me anything important I missed!

I suppose you want to know what I've been doing and why I haven't been on for ages, right? Right. The computer my dad gave me was good, but sluggish, so we talked and decided to find out why it was so slow. Turns out the hard drive was going to crash in a month!!

A friend of ours who is good with computers took it in to fix the motherboard (since it was the source of the problem), but it has been delayed for weeks. The first one sent back was defective, and the second one hasn't come yet.

Sigh.

So I resort to using my mom's laptop or my brothers compy.

SO...until I get my computer back, it's back to just regular posting look with no frame like the previous one.

Until later, Shani

Lo and behold!!

Hello everyone! I really hope this post box works!! Credit goes to Yokobandit.

This weekend has been a lazy one--my mom has a summer cold. She is over the worst of it, thank goodness.

Something has me miffed today...mom has a xanga, you see, and she has a beautiful site! However she got a comment today from someone to the effect of the following: "You're too old to have a xanga, get a life."

That has me stewing still. I mean, who cares if a middle-aged woman has a blog?!

*takes deep breath* okay...sorry to subject you to that. Moving on...

Wheehee 11 comments! That is the most I've gotten in a while.

EAMR: from what I could gather, as was like they had been asleep, while awake...tthey totally were shocked to see themselves afterwards. Wish me luck on how this turns out!!

Seshomaru21 and Niko: a wolf, eh? I can see why you would choose that. Strong creatures.

arinekogomu: Thanks for the compliment! Heh, cats must be popular!

Daff-Power: ... there was no surprise to your answer! Fire, the answer to everything (plus coke).

Blink: yeah, eagles do have the advantage of flying. Plus they are gorgeous.

kirbysdouble: I realy don't think you feel any different while under hypnosis, if there reactions are any measure. On Bakura, I like both sides of him, possessed or not.

Blue eyes: heh, again you and daff have typical answers. *grins*

animalis: I am glad that you like the colors.

Kevmart: yep, gotta watch out for those dangerous cheeseburgers. They have been known to wreck waistlines.
Godzilla? yeah, that would be neat.

LS: of course it's funny when there is a hypnotist...when your not the volunteer. *grins*

Ok....here is hoping it turns out well!!

   thank you all so much!
I have to tell you a story guys, of something I saw on tv...

There was a world-reknowned hypnotist that was conducting an experiment of sorts on the streets of L.A. He put them under, believing they were actors on shows like 24, Monk, and Law and Order (real show fanatics!). It was the funniest thing to see their expressions as they watched themselves. Example: 2 people under the influence they were 2 people from 24 were to diffuse a bomb, which really was a cheeseburger.

Now onto my second agenda item. I know you noticed my new colors (I like black and red just as much as blue, ya see). I'll be working on the code for the post boxes, so keep an eye open for them.

Now, to respond to comments!
Tiggerola: I loved your response!! Yeah, it is dark. I like it that way.

Blue eyes: just go to the same site that EAMR directed me to, mkay?

LS: thanks for the help anyways, I appreciate it.

EAMR: yeah, I found that quote in a email I got yesterday. Even gave it to my mom.

Kevmart: yeah, change is only a part of life. Thanks for coming by.

Daff Power: yeah, the black and red look great together, not to mention, evil. Glad you like it!

Now on to the question of the day, hereby as known as QotD.
Q: If you were reincarnated, who (or what) would you be?
A: a kitty cat. that way I would be spoiled by my manager/feeder (not an owner).

Thank you all so much!
I have now decided I want post boxes at the very least, but have no clue how to do it. Some help from any of you would be appreciated!

I really was quite flattered by Blue eyes comment: "I'm not giving any advice cause I love your site already!! Why change something that's already great?"
Sorry gal, but I am itching to change it! (Don't ask why, I just want to).

Lets see, what can I talk about today?

Oh yeah, I got the information about the mission trip to the south...it will cost 700 dollars, more or less (around 500 for supplies and all, the rest is for the plane ticket). Mostly we would be doing is delivering food and water to people.

Now...to make my decision on that.

Quote of the day, from Helen Keller.

"But we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us."

Hey everyone!! I know its been a few days since I posted, but Saturday I had the compy off all day, and yesterday evening had to reconnect my internet connection. So....yeah. Exciting, eh?

Sunday we had a bake sale for Katrina survivors. I can only hope that we raised a substantial amount to send to help. (oh, and next week we find out more information about mission trips down to the devastated areas. I'll keep ya posted on that).

Ok, now onto responses:
Blue eyes: My life is that interesting huh? Glad to know that you like it.

Niko: thanks!

EAMR: I have done some of those ideas at one time or another. They always help bring in more comments, yes? ;)

LS: there is something that I would love to do...thus the reason I took an online Photoshop class.

Tiggerola: aww, your comment has made my day!! I'm honored to be your friend.

KairiDono: hey, long time no talk, huh? Glad you stopped by, and thanks for the suggestions.

Question of the day: I want a new look to my site. What do you reommend?
A: I was thinking of incorporating a theme or actual picture in the background, or a post box like in SessLover18's or Yukina123's sites.

I was considering posting later, but since I have the house to myself for a time, gotta take advantage of it while I can. :)

It was fun reading your answers to my questions about horoscopes.

Hm...not much going on in my part of the world. just went to a meeting with a counselor this morning and got my classes for next semester (tentative of course), and got home, ate some late breakfast, and got online while finishing some math redos.

so...how exciting is that?

Question of the day: are my post boring? If so, how can I spice them up? (Be honest!!)

Surewest (the company our family has internet and email through) was down all of the 4th of this month, but we didn't get our connection back until last yesterday night. I spend much of the time on the couch watching news lines about hurricane Katrina's aftermath.

I feel so much compassion for the kids...there is a good chance that I'll be heading down with my church to help out.

So...how are you guys? I found your comments about clowns entertaining.

hm....besides working on my recipe collection, there hasn't been much happening this week around our house, besides my brother going back to school today.

Question of the day:
do you ever look at horoscopes? If so, do you follow them?
A:I look occasionally to see if they can spark a writing idea, or just for laughs.

Clowns are a danger to the public
...yeah, they are. I mean, how can children older than 10 like them??

Anywho, I wanted to start off randomly for once (by nature I am logically minded).

Today my dad underwent Lasik surgery. For those of you who don't know what that means, is that after his eyes have recovered from the surgery, he'll be able to see without glasses. He is so happy!

The online math course is going well so far. Plus, all I've heard are positive comments from some repeat students or students from his other math classes. Thats a big plus. (I dropped Ed 10...it won't work out with the direction I'm going).

Hm....what else...
Blue eyes is still banned from the computer and phone. I really am starting to miss her now, but I figure her mom wants her to do well with homework, if her school has started yet.

Welp, thats all for now. Shani out.

My God, its allready September!!
Where has time gone?

Anywho, how are you all?

I have only one course now, as I dropped one after the first class. This means that next semester I'll be loaded with classes. Yipee. Now things are falling into place though...i can start looking around schools that need Instructional Aides or whatever the official title is.

Feh.

I'm sure you've all heard of Katrina's wrath in the south, specifically New Orleans. It's devastating, how bad it is over there. Makes one thankful for the food, running water, working electricity, the simple things we need to function.

Well, on that sad note I take my leave.

yay!!
I'm so glad you all liked it. And whoever said they couldn't read it, I'm sorry. That was my best attempt, since I still am quite an amateur user at Photoshop.

I now have 100 GB signings!!! whee!!!

so....um...what now?

School started today...today was the online math class. THe system they use, Blackboard, is user friendly. I'm glad. Tomorrow is my Ed. 10 class. *grins and does a silly dance*

Shani out.
