Is that a suggestion?
I'm gonna skip the whole updating my life thing and go straight into comments this time..

~~~~~~~Commentary~~~~~~~~~~~
Jacob: You'd better not disappear!I will find you and take you down! ^_^
Steph: I already own a digital camera, but I can see what' you're hinting at...I need to give you my picture. I'm working on it trust me....pokes.
~~~~~~~back to the original post~~~~~~~

It's raining outside today. Awesome. I love rain, because it cools the tempurature off and makes it a little more bearable to live here. Everyone who lives in the Humidity should feel lucky that they only get that kind of heat. Imagine 102 degrees with 40% humidity. OMG your brain fries! ^_^

Nothing much to report....same old day different post. I might hook up with my pal DJ and go play some DDR this weekend. I have to provide Steph with another DDR video. I need something constructive to do around here because I'm getting really really bored. I'm heading to the mall this weekend to buy some new games and look for some new clothes for school. My wardrobe needs some updating. I'm thinking about wearing more stuff from Hollister and American Eagle, because my look seems a little too nerdy to me. I need a look that matches my style right now. I'll find something.

Have a good day...see you in the funny papers

Payday!!
Hey there everybody. That's right, It's payday. I'm so excited because I still have a lot of money from last paycheck and I got a lot this time, so I'm planning to buy something big. I don't know yet. I want something electronic, but I'm not sure. Suggestions? I own a PSP, so I don't need an iPod or anything like that.

Not really much going on today. I've got a four hour shift today at work. I got invited to a party from one of my older co workers. He's a cool guy, but I don't know if my mom will let me go or not. It's an older crowd and there's going to be alcohol there. I'm probably gonna need a wingman for this one.

So how are you guys doing?

~~~~NEW SECTION:Answering your comments~~~~~~
Jacob: Hey what's with the "Have a Nice Life" Thing? Are you just gonna disappear? We never gonna see each other again? :bawl:. Just kidding homie. Thanks for the video game advice. I haven't played either game and I'll look into buying them.
Steph: Always sister. I'll always make sure you have a person to talk to. Thanks for the gaming advice, but I already own Legaia. I'm looking into buying something akin to that. I'm thinking like Star Ocean 3 or something like that.
Today's Lyrics
Minority by Green Day
wanna be the minority
I don't need your authority
down with the moral majority
'cause I wanna be the minority
I pledge
allegiance
to the underworld
one nation under dog there of which I stand alone
a face in the crowd
unsung against the mold
without a doubt singled out the only way I know
'cause I wanna be the minority
I don't need your authority
down with the moral majority
'cause I wanna be the minority
stepped out of line
like a sheep runs from the herd
marching out of time
to my own beat now
the only way I know
one light
one mind
flashing in the dark
blinded by the silence of a 1,000 broken hearts
for crying out loud
she screamed unto me
a free for all f*** them all
you are your own sight
'cause I wanna be the minority
I don't need your authority
down with the moral majority
'cause I wanna be the minority
hey
one light
one mind
flashing in the dark
blinded by the silence of a 1,000 broken hearts
for crying out loud
she screamed unto me
a free for all f*** them all
you are your own sight
'cause I wanna be the minority
I don't need your authority
down with the moral majority
'cause I wanna be the minority
(I wanna be) the Minority
(I wanna be) the Minority
(I wanna be) the Minority
(I wanna be) the Minority
Brass Monkey that funky monkey
Don't let the title, I don't advocate the use of alcohol at all. I love the Beastie Boys and that's one of my favorite songs from Licensed to Ill. The beats on that album are just awesome. It's funny to listen to listen them now and here some of their older stuff and find how much they've evolved and how some of their stuff hasn't changed at all.
Congratulations to Stephanie's family for a little one that's on the way. She's a little worried about late nights, but she'll be fine. Babies are always good things, even with the late night crying sessions. I know 6 year olds that still wake up in the middle of the night crying because they had a bad dream. So having a little one around won't be too bad. Nice change of pace if you ask me....
As for me, things are same old same old. Work, Work and more work. I tried to get promoted to cashier at the store, but they decided to go with someone that has more experience than me. That's cool with me though, that guy deserves it. Hopefully there will be another opening in the near future so I can start making some real money. Classes for college start later in August so I'm getting ready for that. I still have to buy my books and stuff, but that comes later. Right now, I'm resting up from school and having a good time. I need to get a new game for my PS2 because the games are getting old because I've beaten all of them like fifty billion times each. Anyone got any suggestions?
Okay have a good day, what's left of it anyways
Korey
Today's Song: When I come Around by Green Day
I heard you crying loud
All the way across town
You've been searching for that someone
And it's me out on the prowl
As you sit around feeling sorry for yourself
Well don't get lonely now
And dry your whining eyes
I'm just roaming for the moment
Sleazing my backyard so don't get so uptight
You've been thinking about ditching me
No time to search the world around
'Cause you know where I'll be found
When I come around
I heard it all before
So don't knock down my door
I'm a loser and a user
So I don't need no accuser
To try and slag me down because I know you're right
So go do what you like
Make you sure you do it wise
You may find out that your self-doubt
Means nothing was ever there
You can't go forcing something
If it's just not right
No time to search the world around
'Cause you know where I'll be found
When I come around
No time to search the world around
'Cause you know where I'll be found
When I come around
Oh when I come around
Oh When I come around
When I come around
   Now serving customer number....
Wow how long has it been? Years? At the urging of my bestest best pal Stephanie, I decided to start posting here again...let me catch you up to speed on what I've been doing.
I graduated from high school and now I'm waiting for college to start. I'm going for a bachelor's degree in Journalism/Mass Communications. My days are now spent at home waiting to go to work. I occupy myself with playing DDR and lots and lots of video games. Mostly rhythym games like Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution and Rez. Those games are so fun to play, I just can't put them down.
What else...what else? That's all the recent stuff. We had a barbeque go on in our neighborhood for gamers and we all gathered and played lots of games. Me and my weird pal DJ decided to ditch the party for a while and go to the movies and play DDR (what else?)
I've recently got back on Otakuboards and I re read one of my old RPGs and I can see how much I've grown as a person from that time. It just feels sorta surreal returning to a place after being away for so long y'know?
Oh yeah Lyric Time
Today's song: Miss You by Blink-182
Hello there
The angel from my nightmare
The shadow in the background of the morgue
The unsuspecting victim
Of darkness in the valley
We can live like Jack and Sally
If we want
Where you can always find me
And we'll have halloween on christmas
And in the night we'll wish this never ends
We'll wish this never ends
I miss you
(I miss you)
Where are you?
And I'm so sorry
I cannot sleep
I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always
This 6 string's darkness
Comes creeping on so haunting every time
And as I stared I counted
The webs from all the spiders
Catching things and eating their insides
Like indecision to call you
And hear your voice of treason
Will you come home
And stop this pain tonight?
Stop this pain tonight
Don't waste your time on me
You're already the voice inside my head
(I miss you)
You're already the voice inside my head
(I miss you)
ok i am soooo sorry
i have compeletly abandonded this site. and to that i am sorry. i totally forgot with all the things i have going on. school, work, college applications, i have completely forgotten to update so here goes....
life has been okie dokie recently. school is winding down and i have some awards ceremony tonight. im going for journalism, i don't know what awards im getting but im sure it'll be good. also i will be inducted into a journalism honor society on friday, so things will be busy this week. not to mention a video games expo that is happening at my school the day after the induction thing. my friend is in a leadership group in my school and he has to do a service project for a grade, so he chose a video game expo. tres cool!
i have been hooked on the pillows, the band who did most of the FLCL soundtrack. My friend Kenny let me listen to a song that was done by them called "biscuit hammer". yes you read right. "BISCUIT HAMMER". the band's style is wicked, i like their music a lot. so i bought all of their albums from the Japanese iTunes store. and i love it all. i'll give you guys a sample of the lyrics at the end of the post.
I've also been watching FLCL again and i still find the entire series very very funny, albeit most people who watch with me are filled with confusion and disgust because they have no idea what they are watching. I also finally collected the entire series of Samurai Champloo and I am working on collecting Neon Genesis: Evangelion.
I bought Robotech: the protoculture collection on DVD the other day. i am just old enough to vaguely remember the series when it came out and i find that the series was cool, for its time. not now, for me anyways. but i salute the creators of Robotech for making an amazing series that dominated anime in the 80s.
anyways, better wrap this up. peace, love and anime to all.
Yours Truly
K'
Doozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu
for the japanese challenged, that means "please don't hurt me". sorry i haven't updated in a while folks, i've been swamped! well, not really. I'm just lazy. but i will work on that.
spring break is coming up for me, which means that it is time to play DDR until my frickin legs fall off. the movie theater is holding another DDR tournament and i am going to win it! oh yeah! ^_^
it's been pretty windy around here the past couple of days and i don't like it, because i've been able to wear shorts before that and now the wind makes it too cold. I refuse to let it continue this way. no stupid wind is going to ruin my spring break! no way ><.
i have been listening to some of the older gorillaz stuff and i've gotta say that the older CD outshines the first one in some respects. the album is more hip-hop influence and i like that
   Driver's Ed
possibly the most boring thing in this earth is driver's ed. we are learning about all of the stupid regulations of the road and i was royally bored, so i drew myself twice chibi style. i'll have to scan the picture and show you guys. it was pretty funny.
the valentines dance ended up being very pleasant for me. i had a very good time with the girl i invited and i hope to continue our relationship. she is a very pleasant, congenial girl. she is always nice to me and we would make a good couple.
did you guys see the new stuff on the otaku site? i liked the suggestion section. it allows almost every anime to be represented on the site and we can finally pay homage to our favorite animes. like area 88. have you guys seen it. it's about some fighter pilot trying to return to his lover after being tricked by a "friend". the dogfights in the series are awesome, even though the dub could have used some work. the arabic kid in the series sounds like he has a two second tape delay. but still a good anime to check out. i recommend it.
have a good day everyone.
Today Lyrics: Bat country by Avenged Sevenfold
"He who makes a beast out of himself, gets rid of the pain of being a man"
Caught here in a fiery blaze, won't lose my will to stay.
I tried to drive all through the night,
the heat stroke ridden weather, the barren empty sights.
No oasis here to see, the sand is singing deathless words to me.
[Chorus:]
Can't you help me as I'm startin' to burn (all alone).
Too many doses and I'm starting to get an attraction.
My confidence is leaving me on my own (all alone).
No one can save me and you know I don't want the attention.
As I adjust to my new sights the rarely tired lights will take me to new heights.
My hand is on the trigger I'm ready to ignite.
Tomorrow might not make it but everything's all right.
Mental fiction follows me; show me what it's like to be set free.
[Chorus]
So sorry you're not here I've been sane too long my vision's so unclear.
Now take a trip with me but don't be surprised when things aren't what they seem.
Caught here in a fiery blaze, won't lose my will to stay.
These eyes won't see the same, after I flip today.
Sometimes I don't know why we'd rather live than die,
we look up towards the sky for answers to our lives.
We may get some solutions but most just pass us by,
don't want your absolution cause I can't make it right.
I'll make a beast out of myself, gets rid of all the pain of being a man.
[Chorus]
So sorry you're not here I've been sane too long my vision's so unclear.
Now take a trip with me but don't be surprised when things aren't what they seem.
I've known it from the start all these good ideas will tear your brain apart.
Scared but you can follow me I'm too weird to live but much too rare to die.
   What was that all about?
hello everyone, i got a new avi. cool no? it's iori yagami, from King of Fighters.
let me tell you about my curse on valentine's dy
for valentine's day, i seem to have some good luck, and then it gets balanced out by an equal amount of bad luck. 'why is this?' you ask, but i can't provide an answer for this phenomena! it's mind boggeling. but let me tell you what happened today.
as you may know, im single now. our school's valentine's dance is coming up this weekend and i didn't have a date. there is this girl that i liked in my english class. she's been really nice to me and is a general lovely person overall. i bought her a carnation today and asked her out to the dance. she said yes! i was so happy!
then came the bad news... ><
i hung out with her at lunch to get some of the basics for the dance (what she was wearing, what time i needed to pick her up, if i should pay for her ticket...etc). then my ex-girlfriend sees me and her and flings into this whole tyraid (if that's how you spell it) about how she hates valentine's day and all that. she was moapy and crying right in front of me. here i had two options....
A) make a scene in the hall
B) play it off and continue with my buisness
now choice A didn't seem to appealing to me because i didn't want to draw any unwanted attention to me by the administrators. but if i chose choice B, i would seem like a total asshole. so what did i chose? well i chose to be the asshole, but there's a twist. my ex didn't have all of the right information! she just judged me and the other girl , which wasn't cool with me. and the other girl felt horrible about herself, which made me feel worse. so i continued to be the asshole. im sorry if i seem cold, but the whole situation was blown out of proportion and i didn't want to add fuel to the fire. so im still going to the dance with the other girl, and my ex gets left out to dry. not the best decision, but i couldn't escape without hurting someone's feelings. so... that's my story, thanks for listening.
have a happy valentine's day.
yours truly
today's lyrics: KIDS WITH GUNS by the gorillaz
Kids with guns
Taking over
But it won't be long
They're mesmerized
Skeletons
Kids with guns
Kids with guns
Easy does it, easy does it, they got something to say "no" to
Drinking out (is she real, is she)
Pacifier (is she real, is she)
Demon souls (is she real, is she)
Street desire (is she real, is she)
Didn't mean to (is she real, is she)
But it won't be long (is she real, is she)
Kids with guns
Kids with guns
Easy does it, easy does it, they got something to say "no" to
And they turn into monsters
Turning us into fire
Turning us into monsters
It's all desire
It's all desire
It's all desire
Drinking out
Pacifier
Sinking soul
There you are
Doesn't make side to
But it won't be long
Cause kids with guns
Kids with guns
Easy does it, easy does it, they got something to say "no" to
And they turn into monsters
Turning us into fire
Turning us into monsters
It's all desire
It's all desire
It's all desire
Is she, is she real, is she
Is she real, is she (it's real)
Is she, is she real, is she
Is she real, is she (it's real)
Is she is she real
   Gravity
never bring me down.... gravity.
oh sorry singing lyrics out loud again. it's a pretty catchy tune from the gorillaz. but onto buisness again.
i was having a pretty in depth conversation with CosmicSailor about the tech problems we've been having with the art of otaku program. i have adobe acrobat reader 7.0 on my computer and i was looking through the content when i saw something i wanted to print. needless to say, when i printed the pages, the photos didn't come out and i was panicking. i checked everything possible on my computer and then downloaded Acrobat 6.0. it printed fine, but that defeated the purpose of having 7.0 if it wasn't going to print off of there. apparently, Cosmic Sailor had been having that problem too and i just wanted to confirm it. did any of you guys who bought the program have this problem?
in other news... Happy Groundhogs day everybody! even though he saw his shadow, i was hoping for some more winter here in the desert. it's been getting warmer and it's only february. it's been around 70 and that's TOO warm for me. where's the frickin 40 degree temperature days and cold fronts when you need them? well it looks like my picture of a normal winter season has been squelched yet again.
speaking of squelching, what is up with all of the new sequels of movies man?! damn rocky 7?, superman 4?, xmen 3?, ice age 2? (didn't they make that like four years ago?). what could possibly be next. 2 fast 2 be furious?, jason still can't die so we're making another movie? hollywood needs to know when to squelch the sequel if you ask me. the whole damn thing is just way out of proportion.
hope you guys/gals are having a nice day. if not, i will pray for your day.
yours truly
Korey
Now Playing: 19-2000 by the Gorillaz
The world is spinning too fast
I'm buying lead Nike shoes
To keep myself tethered
To the days I try to lose
My mama said to slow down
You should make your shoes
Start dancing to the music
Of Gorillaz in a happy mood
Keep a mild groove on
Ba ba ba
Day dee bop
There you go!
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoe shine!
There's a monkey in the jungle
Watching a vapour trail
Caught up in the conflict
Between his brain and his tail
And if time's elimination
Then we got nothing to lose
Please repeat the message
It's the music that we choose
Keep a mild groove on
Ba ba ba
Day dee bop
OK bring it down yeah we gonna break out
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoe shine!
Ah Ah Ah Ah
Day doo de bop
elementary, my dear watson
hey again. wanted to update and tell you guys what's going on in my life. Yesterday we had a wrestling match during school hours, so everyone bought tickets and came down during 4th period to watch us wrestle. i lost my match, and i thought everyone was going to rip on me for losing, but today i've gotten nothing but compliments and praise! weird huh? funny how irony always seems to show up when you least expect to.
did you guys notice that the blog size here has gotten bigger? adam said that he had changed it and i didn't even notice till today! this is good for me because i always think that i write too much in this damn thing and it turns out that i only post a small smidgen of what i think that i post. but now i can see when im writing too much.
I bought vol. 7 of Samurai Champloo yesterday and im almost finished with the series! that would make the fourth anime that i've collected all of. i normally buy only certain volumes of anime because they have my favorite episodes or im just previewing it to see if the series will continue to hold my interest. so far, i've collected all of Ruroni Kenshin (the main series), Cowboy Bebop, and Outlaw Star. Some are dubbed, others are japanese that i've picked up, but i still have the whole set, so i don't care.
i've hoped that other people have picked this up, but they've been showing mizaki's films on Turner Classic Movies every so often and i'm amazed that anime is now becoming "mainstream" enough to have some of their films become classics shown anywhere besides Cartoon Network and Anime Network. good for anime! ^_^
so everyone, take care, and have a nice day!
for today's lyrics i pick "it's tricky" by Run-DMC
This speech is my recital, I think it's very vital
To rock (a rhyme), that's right (on time)
It's Tricky is the title, here we go...
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...it's Tricky (Tricky) Tricky (Tricky)
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...Tr-tr-tr-tricky (Tricky) Trrrrrrrrrrricky
I met this little girlie, her hair was kinda curly
Went to her house and bust her out, I had to leave real early
These girls are really sleazy, all they just say is please me
Or spend some time and rock a rhyme, I said "It's not that easy"
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...(How is it D?) It's Tricky (Tricky) Tricky (Trrrrrricky)
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...Tricky (Tricky) Tricky
In New York the people talk and try to make us rhyme
They really (hawk) but we just (walk) because we have no time
And in the city it's a pity cos we just can't hide
Tinted windows don't mean nothin', they know who's inside
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...(How is it D?) Tricky (Tricky) Tricky (Tricky)
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...Tricky (Tricky) Tricky (Tricky) huh!
When I wake up people take up mostly all of my time
I'm not singin', phone keep ringin' cos I make up a rhyme
I'm not braggin', people naggin' cos they think I'm a star
Always tearin' what I'm wearin', I think they're goin' too far
A girl named Carol follows Daryll every gig we play
Then D dissed her and dismissed her, now she's jockin' Jay
I ain't lyin', girls be cryin' cos I'm on TV
They even bother my poor father cos he's down with me
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...(How is it?) Tricky (Tricky) Tricky (Tricky)
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...Tr-tr-tr-tr-tr-tricky (Tr-Tr-Tr-Tricky) Tr-tr-tr...
We are not thugs (we don't use drugs) but you assume (on your own)
They offer coke (and lots of dope) but we just leave it alone
It's like that y'all (y'all), but we don't quit
You keep on (rock!) shock! Cos this is it...
