   Someone save me!

I am bored out of my mind. I wish I were at home then I could take a nap! Not much going on around here. I have been signing guestbooks and reading peoples journals. Hi to everyone stopping by to sign my guestbook. I know my site isn't as nice as others, but I like to keep things simple. If you get really bored go check out my personal website. I have about 20 things I need to upload but I have been too busy to get around to it. I am adding a few new links and I am going to probably redo the menu bar. It is starting to really annoy me. Drop me a note if you have a suggestion on what to do about my menu bar for my site. I need to make it a bit more user friendly.

While looking around theOtaku I have found many very talented artists. I wish I had artistic talent like that. John tells me all I have to do is take some time and pratice. He is a really good artist. I guess that is why his art is published on a bookcover and I am not. LOL His friend Jeremy has asked him to submit some stuff to Wizards of the Coast but I am not sure if he will since he is so busy doing other art. Jeremy is the Senior Art Director for Magic the Gathering. I guess we will see what he does.

I have been sitting here at my desk for 3 hours...I have to be here until 5pm and it is only 11am. I think I might go mad! I forgot to grab my Kare Kano manga when leaving the house too...bummer!!!

Well, I think I am going to go back to looking at other members myO pages. See ya later!

   When the boss is away....

I am just kidding. I always get my work done first. I have a couple of minutes (30 to be exact) before we even open and I have already completed much of my work that was left for me. I have a few phone calls I am waiting on return calls, but that is about it. More than likely they won't call me back until "business hours" so I can take a little break right now. ^_^

This weekend when we went out and about goofing around I ended up playing some Skee ball. I haven't played Skee ball in years! It was so much fun! I told my hubby that we need to buy one for the house. :P We also played a very competitive match of air hockey. I won 7/5 against my hubby. I am so proud! I may not be good at alot of things in life but I am good at Skee ball and air hockey! I ended up winning enough tickets to get: One rubber gecko (green w/yellow), 2 small rubber snakes (one green, one brown) and a little plastic man with a parachute. Truly a wonderful haul. What is funny is they are still in my purse right now and everytime I get into it to get something they have the tendency to pop out of my purse! It is great when you are at the grocery store buying bread and some rubber snakes and a gecko fall out on the checkout counter! LOL

Oh, my bruise on my leg when I feel down from that EXTREME mini golf match is in the outline of a brick! It is too funny! I was talking to Jen about it and everytime I think about it, it makes me laugh. I am sooooo happy I didn't got headlong into the water fountain! It was fun, bruises and all. :P

   Anime review time!

Work was busy today. My boss is going to Maui for 2 weeks which means I will be in the office by myself! Which means more time online for me! Hooray! Thus, the reason I used part of my anime budget for manga.

Now, time to talk about the animes I just watched.

Kikaider: Finally picked up vol 4 to add to my collection of Kikaider: The Animation. The old school anime look of the animation is what I like. I know some people don't like the look, which is very similar to the look of Cyborg 009. A while back episodes of Kikaider were shown on Adult Swim.

Puni Puni Poemy: Right now I am watching the commentary. It is funny to listen to the VA's talking about the anime. This anime is definately not for kids...perhaps not even for adults. Pretty much hentai with lots of anime jokes. Definately not an anime for everyone.

Saiyuki: I love Saiyuki. Vol 9 has 4 episodes on it, each one with a focus on each of the guys. I can't wait for the next dvd to come out. John and I really liked the one with the Monkey Wine. Now John is using Gojyo's quote about "my speciality comes later in the process....I am an expert drinker." I swear, Gojyo gets some great lines.

Robotech Remastered: Not really watching it since it is pretty much just Robotech with the scenes from the original animes that were cut out from the first run of Robotech.

I think I am going to start reading Kare Kano tomorrow at work. Not much to do at work without my boss there except answer the phones and sign for delieveries. Oh, it is going to be a long two weeks at work.....

   Ugh, back to work....

I am so tired and so sore. This weekend one of the things we did was go to mini golf. We were having such a good time...then I fell down. OMG, talk about funny! I had tripped over the little retaining wall around the 5th hole and stumbled around trying to catch myself until finally I just fell down. It really hurt since I landed partially on the wall. I have this big bruise on my leg and I am all sore. I swear, I am just glad I didn't trip into the waterfall!

Back at work now, exausted from the weekend. I need a weekend to recover from the weekend. Last night I just took it easy and watched my Saiyuki, Puni Puni Poemy and Kikaider dvds. I love having new anime to watch. I think tonight when I get home I might add a review on those dvds.

Gotta get to work.

   I am tired, but happy.

Finally home from Idaho. I am so happy to be back. I love going on these little weekends away, but it is so nice to get home to see my pets! The dogs were so happy to see us pull up to the house. I missed them. It is going to be really hard when we go to Chicago then straight to Anime Expo. It's going to be a good 2 weeks without being home!

So here is the anime shopping trip items for this weekend!

-Robotech Remastered Vol 2 DVD set. I have loved Robotech since it came out in the 80's. It's an important anime to ALL anime fans since it helped introduce anime to America. It's been a major influence on my life.
-Kikaider Vol 4 DVD. I like the old school feel of this anime. Plus, I have a Mitsuko cosplay costume. I have the right haircut for the character!
-Last Exile Vol 3 DVD. John loves this anime. When I asked him what anime he would want to be transported too he said Last Exile so he could fly a vanship. Once a pilot, always a pilot.
-Puni Puni Poemi DVD- Being an Excel Saga fan we had to get this one. With all the "warning" stickers on the front how could be not get it!
-Saiyuki Vol 9 DVD. I don't think I need to even explain why I picked this one up. Sanzo....
-Kare Kano Vol 1 to 5 manga. I wanted to read this one but haven't been able to find it in my small hometown. I figured that right now was as good a time as any to start....and I have to find something to kill some time between now and Vol 2 of Saiyuki!
-One large stuffed Grunty. Ok, I saw him at the mall and he was just too cute not to get. I got a large stuffed grunty. He looks like the little one that came with the .hack/sign box set. "Oink! Feed me I'm hungry!"

Well, I think that was everything I picked up on this trip. I think the next trip I am going to get the boxset of Trigun. I have it on tape but need to get it on DVD. I want the boxset if I am going to get it. Anime budget was dug into a bit since we had the wedding weekend to pay for.

Is it bad that I am thought twice about having the bottle of champagne sent to Jen and Mike's honeymoon suite. $80 could have bought me about 4 DVDs or 8 manga.....I am a bad best friend. The champagne was the right way to spend that money.

   I am completely pooped out.....

So, here I am at the Coeur d'Alene Resort beyond sleepy, yet posting in my blog. The wedding was a blast. It was a very simple yet beautiful ceremony. Ate lots of food, drank too much champagne and just had too much fun. It was great. I am going to post all the pictures I took on my webstie when I get around to it.

Right now I am posting from one of those tv internet access things.....boy, do these things suck! I have my laptop with me but the cost of getting online with my laptop was going to cost me more than the $10 flat rate to use this thing. You have to view webpages on the tv and the resolution is really, really, REALLY crappy. The keyboard that is provided is mega small and the keys seem to stick. Sorry about the poor quality of my post tonight, but this bites. I just wanted to post something about the wedding while it as fresh in my mind.

The minister was a bit....different. I could tell that both Jen and Mike were ready to crack up at him. John and I just kept looking at each other like...is this guy ok? I guess part of it was the way he was speaking, almost like he was that minister on "The Princess Bride". Too funny.

This internet is really annoying so I am going to sign off until tomorrow. Sorry again for the awful quality of this entry. I hate this internet service!

One last post before a weekend away!

It's been an excellent day. After work I went to get my hair done, which I totally love! After that I came home to find my hubby making chicken enchilladas from scratch and my best friend Jen called and asked if I wanted to go with her to pick up our flowers. Since dinner wasn't ready yet I went out with Jen.

We had a great time picking up the last odds and ends for the wedding tomorrow. She is all giddy right now. It makes me think about how I felt the night before my wedding. So much stress, so much excitement, so much fun....so many feelings it is sometimes a bit overwhelming. I am just glad I am all done with that. I am very much content being an old married lady. LOL

Oh, and one more thing that made today a great day. My hubby said we can buy some anime while we are out of town! Woo hoo! Weekend is here, wedding, great haircut/color and now an anime shopping trip to boot! I wish all my weekends were this great!

See you all on Sunday!

Today has been an excellent day!

It has been a nice quite day at work, got all my work done before the weekend and I am feeling pretty good! Woo Hoo!

My boss and I are planning a trip out the the local Humane Society to adopt a couple of kittens as a gift for her brother who recently lost his cat of 22 years. Sad huh. It will be fun to get away from the office to go play with kittens! The only bad thing about going to the Humane Society is wanting to rescue all the animals. That is one thing I hate about going out there. One of my old jobs when I was working at the vet clinic was to go and assist with the euthanasias for the animals that can't be adopted. That was really harsh. I wish there was a home for all of them.

On a side note, the first full week of May is National Pet Week! Many vet clinics run specials on vaccinations and surgeries. So if you have a pet, or are getting one, this is a great time to make sure all their shots are up to date. If you can't adopt a pet, donate some old blankets, cleaning supplies or pet food to the local shelter. It helps out more than you know.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I am going to miss posting a few days since I am going to Idaho for Jen's wedding. I will post a picture of me all dressed up when I get back. Me in formal attire, this is very rare. I am not much of a dress kinda gal, more of a jeans and t-shirt girl. Oh what we do for our best friends!

Have a great weekend everyone!

   Oh I give up!

Ok, so now the picture is back to being me and John. I don't know. I guess if it changes back again I will just leave it be. LOL Wacky! Wacky! Wacky!

I am feeling much better now. Sheesh, by reading my ramblings it sounds like I am bi-polar. Happy one minute, insanely stressed out the next! Really, I am a pretty even tempered person. I think I just have too many irons in the fire right now. I really need to get my life in order. Perhaps I need to take a vacation! Of course that just means when I get home that there will be a million and one things I need to catch up on...thus, back where I started. Overworked and stressed. I need to win the lottery!! But first, I need to start buying tickets! Arrgh, just one more thing to do!

I spent the afternoon wandering around signing guest books for some of the people on the boards that I thought were interesting people. I will have to go check out more sites later. It is really interesting to see what people put in their myO sites. Some people have tons of quizzes while others are a bit more like me and use their myO to rant and rave about this, that and the other thing.

I am sure you guys can figure out by now that I use this as my online blog. I find that it makes me feel better when I can get my feelings out in the open. Writing a journal has always been one of my favorite things to do. Now I just get to share my madness with the masses! Hey, the more the merrier right! :P

Well, I am off to check out more sites. Who knows, your guest book could be the next I visit!
