I think I am going to do an anime marathon this weekend!

I was going through catching up on some myO sites and Thrush Battersea is going to do a marathon! So I am stealing the idea and will marathon this weekend. It should be fun. I have already started watching Saiyuki so I might just continue on. It should be fun. I haven't done a marathon in awhile.

If you haven't guessed, I am back at work today. I get in and there are 12 messages on the answering machine. Ugh. I have taken care of most of them. I hate being sick because when you get back to work there is just so much stuff to catch up on. I am still really worn out. I could really go for a nap right now....and it is only a little after 9am!! I have to be here until 5pm! I don't think I am going to make it! ::falls asleep::

At least I got my intro fixed. It is so weird, it only puts that break tag in from my computer at home, but not at work. I guess that means I can never leave my job or I will never be able to fix my Intro! :P

Well, I am off to catch up on everyones myO updates. See you later!

Heston is just a sweet pup!

Heston was a rescue pup. One day I got a call from a friend who was at work when this little stray pup wandered into the building. It was the begining of March and the snow was still on the ground.

She said he was really sickly looking and wanted me to come check him out. The idea was I would take him home until morning then take him out to the Humane Society. I went to check him out and when I saw him it broke my heart. He was covered in fleas and ticks, you could see his ribs sticking out and he was really afraid of people. He is some sort of German Shepherd mix breed.

My friend tried to give him some turkey from her sandwich but he wouldn't take it from her. He would just hide his face in the corner. Even though he looked like he was starving he wouldn't eat. It really made me wonder what he had gone through. Who were his owners? He was about 12 weeks old so someone had to have been "taking care" of him.

I took him home and he wouldn't eat anything. I left him with some blankets and a big bowl of food and water in the kitchen. I walked out of the kitchen to get him more blanket and was gone for maybe 2 minutes at the most. When I came back all the food and water was gone and he was right where I had left him.

He must have inhaled the food! I knew there was no way I was going to take him to the dog pound. Obviously the people who had him before didn't care about him. He had no tags, covered in fleas and tick AND so thin! I think the thing that bothered me the most was how afraid of people he was, especially men. What had he gone through before I got him?

He is still a bit shy around new people but he has really warmed up to people. Heston loves kittens and puppies. He makes happy little grunts when he sees a baby animal. If you hold a pup or kitten infront of him he will grunt happily and groom it. He really is a very sweet boy.

Because of the little noises he makes I just call him my little grunty. That and it seems like he is always hungry!

Feed me I am hungry! Oink!

One more quick story before I go to bed. Heston ran into our screen door (yes, the same one Brynner knocked out the other day) but he was more like the Grunty that Tsukasa is riding in the picture above. He just smashed his head into the screen and bounced off. It was really funny! At least he didn't knock the door out of the frame!!

   What can I say but.....

Ok, so I know I had said I wouldn't mess with my Intro since I had so much trouble with it. Well, I went in to add some stuff to the side bar under the "Hobbies" and it messed up my intro image again! It keeps putting the < br > in it. I am sure it has something to do with my computer at home. I will have to wait until tomorrow at work to fix it. Bummer.

Now to answer some questions and respond to some comments.

Thanks guys for the get well wishes today. I feel much better...well besides the brain fart I had when I thought it would be ok to mess with myO content page. Ugh. ::hits head on wall:: I think I was a little dehydrated and too tired. I took your advice Mamma Vash and had some yummy chicken soup. It really helped. I think the combo of fatigue and dehydration just knocked me on my bum. And yes blackwings, my herd of pets kept me company, lucky no one was smelly today!

FirePheonix, the real Pikachu is the one on the left. ~_^ lol

To answer Radaghast's question, Harrison taught himself how to stand. He truly is a very talented cat. It is really funny when he and Ana play. He stands up on his hind legs to tower over her. He kinda reminds me of Godzilla. Oh and I love you too. ~_^

Godel, he is the coolest cat ever...almost. If only I could teach him to do some tricks, then he really would be the coolest. You do have to give him props for being unique!

I think I am going to go check out the boards and see what is happening then I will be back to post something about the fourth pet in the house. He is really a sweetheart, just not as colorful as Bun Bun and Harrison...heck, they are a hard act to follow.

Later!

The Tao of Harrison- Yin and Yang.

Of all the pets Harrison is the most easy going. He is a great example of how you should live your life....most of the time. He has a disablitlity that doesn't hold him back. He puts up with the big dogs running around him and grooming him. Which I find a bit icky since Harrison will come up and head butt you with the top of his head covered in drool. ewwww.

We refer to this as just "Meh", which is his answer to everything. How do you feel Harrison? Meh. Are you happy? Meh. Are you hungry? Meh. Is this world going to hell in a handbasket? Meh. Everything is just Meh.

With this Meh philosphy one would think that all is peaceful. But there is the darkside to Harrison. Harrison lives in a very happy place, his place, a place he feels safe and at peace with the world. If you disrupt this world by removing him against his will....

DO NOT REMOVE HARRISON FROM THE HOUSE!

The only time we ever take him out of the house was to go to work with me for vaccinations. He was the all time worst cat to ever set foot in the clinic. I am sooooo embarrased. He is also the only cat to ever poop on the scale while getting weighed.

He is the cat that hisses, spits and charges agressively at the front of the pet carrier. Mind you, this is how he would react to me, which isn't as bad as how he would act towards my co-workers! Needless to say, for the past few years I have been vaccinating him at home. It really does pay to do much of your veterinary care at home. That everyone at the clinic would rather have me do all of his care at home versus having to deal with him again!

The good, the bad, the Harrison. So what does following the Tao of Harrison teach us? Be happy all the time unless someone kidnaps you, then unleash your vengence upon them. I think I can handle that philosophy!

I am at home sick today.

I woke up feeling really bad today. I had to call in sick. I feel really bad about that since I feel like I am letting my boss down. I hate being sick. I couldn't even get out of bed today without help from John. He is such a good guy. I love him so much, even more than Sanzo! Now that says alot. LOL

In case you haven't noticed I did put the picture of Harrison in my shoes up in my other post. He is such a kick in the pants. I think I am going to get something to eat, take my all my medications and watch some more Saiyuki then I will be back later to write about the Tao of Harrison.

   Gotta catch em' all!

When Harrison was a kitten he looked just like a Pikachu when he would sit up. Needless to say we did a bunch of Pokemon jokes with him. "I choose you Harri-chu!"

The above picture was Harrison standing on the top of one of those cat scratching posts swatting at a toy. Like I said, he has very good balance. This picture is from when he was younger, I think he is far to....stable in the wind....to do that now. In otherwords, too fat! He is on light cat food, really!!

One really funny thing he like to do is...wear my shoes. I have several times found him laying down on top of my shoes with his front paws in my shoes. So yes, he is a cross-dresser. No, no, he isn't a cross-dresser. I think the real reason he wears my shoes is because they support his back. Kinda like having a platform for his front end to rest on. My shoes just happen to be the right height to level him out.

I will have to find a picture of him doing that. It looks really funny. LOL

Well, I will go look for the picture and if I find it I will definately post it here. Until then, may thoughts of all the Pokemon fill your mind! @_@

Hooray! I found a picture of him wearing my shoes. I have one of him in my heels, but I am not sure where that one is. So you will just have to look at him in my loafters. Enjoy!

Watching Saiyuki, looking at the boards.

To answer the question on how much Harrison weighs....20lbs! If he didn't have the deformed front legs he would be a very tall cat. I will post another picture of him later. I am still working on it. ^_^

I guess I should finish that so I can get it posted. Be back in a few!

Harrison is such a cool cat!

Everyone should be so lucky to have a cool cat like Harrison. Hmmm, I have never explained where all my pets' names come from. I guess this is as good a time as any!

Ana Ng, she got her name from the They Might Be Giants song of the same name. It seems to fit her personality.

Brynner. Ok, this is a long story how we got his name. We wanted a name to go with Ana's. Unfortunately there wasn't a good TMBG song name to go with him. So we went off the name of Anna. Anna is the name of the lead female character in the King and I which takes place in Siam. Ana is Siamese so this would have a bit of a link. The King in the musical The King and I was played by Yul Brynner. Thus, Brynner had his name!

Harrison. His name is not after Harrison Ford, he is named after Rex Harrison who is the actor who first played the King in Anna and the King of Siam. Rex Harrison was also in My Fair Lady and Dr. Doolittle.

Heston. Heston is named after Charlton Heston. No King and I link here. The link is Brynner. Yul Brynner and Charlton Heston acted together in a lot of movies so we used that link.

So there you go, now you know where everyone got their names! Anyway, getting back to how cool Harrison is!

When he lays down his little deformed arms hold his paws up in the air so when he is doing that happy cat pawing...you know, the kind cats do where they dig their claws into you while you are petting them...well, because of his arms the claws don't touch! It's great, he sits there purring away, pawing at the air!

The way he gets our attention is by smashing his head into us. He will even do it to the dogs. Brynner will be standing there with that lost look on his face and Harrison will lumber up to him, stand on his hindlegs, then headbutt him in the chin. I don't know of any other cat that does that, especially to dogs!

Well, I am at work right now so I guess I will have to continue singing Harrison's praises later on tonight. ::waves:: Bye!

Harrison isn't the most active of cats.

Harrison is a cat that I brought home from the vet clinic. One of our clients brought him in when he was just a kitten since she thought he had broken legs. Upon examination we found that he was actually born with a birth defect. We think that maybe his family tree didn't branch. His front arms are deformed and he has an extra claw on his back legs. Pretty much it looks like he has back legs on his front.

Because of this birth defect he lumbers about. Since his back legs are normal and his front legs are deformed his head in really close to the ground. It would be the same as putting skateboard wheels on the front of a monster truck. The front end is lower than the back.

I ended up adopting him since he is a special needs cat. He isn't very active due to his physical condition so he is, well, a little plump. He is a very good cat and has a great personality. He loves the dogs and is a constant source of entertainment.

One of the things he likes to do is stand on his hindlegs. He looks like a bowling pin. He is very good a balancing on his hindlegs and can walk up to 5 feet on just his hindlegs!

Now you don't think any of the pet I would have would be normal now do you?

Dealing with non-pet stuff related stuff, I am completely pooped out. My website just underwent the largest change in format ever! I made the margins bigger, which now makes the info I had on each page look a bit....lacking. I got all the pages moved over but now need to reformat the images and text to fill out the pages a bit more. I looks pretty bad right now, but it will be a great chance to update all the pages.

I will be adding more Saiyuki pictures and photos to my photo album. Give me another week and I might have the site completely updated!!

Well, off to bed for me, I am a sleepy Panda....zzzzzz

The spider didn't go down without a fight!

I think I am going to finish up Ana's little soiree with another spider story.

As you already know Ana loves to kills spiders. One day we noticed her playing with one and didn't think much of it. That night John and I went into the bedroom and she was sitting on the bed. She is watching us mill about and I look at her and notice something.

Her bottom jaw is completely swollen. She normally has this cute little round face but since her jaw was so swollen it looked like she had this long chin! I tried to find a good picture to represent it, but this is the closest I cold find. If you have seen Princess Mononoke you will understand how she looked.

She pretty much looked like the Spirit of the Forest!

The way the swelling was it made her kind of look like she was smiling. But since she doesn't really have a long snout it made her look like the Shishigami! It really was funny.

But not to worry. I gave her a bit of Benedryl and she was fine. The spider apparently didn't want to go down without a fight.

I guess that is about it. I have been working really hard on updating my personal website, completely new layout. It has taken hours and I will probably be uploading it tonight when I get home. I know there are some links that aren't working quite right but I will fix them later. One I found seems to have stuck the pages in a loop! LOL Oh well, too much of the same thing makes your brain go numb.

I think after that I might put up stuff about my other cat Harrison. I think you guys will get a kick out of him. He is much more interesting than Ana. :P

I guess that is it for now. I am off to look at some myO sites! Later kids!
