I Miss This Place
It's a shame to see that this area of Otaku has gone into such a state of disrepair. I used to frequent the site all of the time and meet amazing people in the process. Since the new site has debuted, it seems that this area is almost completely dead. I don't like the idea of worlds, even though it is a really awesome feature.

I'd love if this site was returned to what it used to be. I'm all for what the developers have gone for as far as expanding the community into something much larger, though I don't find it to be as user friendly as this is. I really hope that this won't be yanked away anytime soon.

New Safari!
I am the ultimate in happy right now. One of the things I used to hate about Safari is it didn't have a spell check like my Firefox. I now have the new version of Safari thanks to my Mac OSX update and it has my spell check. It's fabulous!

Of course there are some options that I'm not very happy with (like when I need to have my passwords right in the field for quick buys on the Gaia Online MP), but I'm liking the new version so far.

On a more depressing note; eight more days until another awful birthday!

If I May Be So Bold
If it's one thing I hate as a writer, it's the people that tell me the 'possibilities' of my stories.

I wrote this drabble last year for iyfic_contest called "Late" (I placed that week, also got nominated for an IYFG). I decided to post it over at Eternal Destiny. Ok, good good. I get one nice review.

Then I get this person telling me that my story could be expanded, when it clearly states that it is a drabble and it is complete. If I wanted to expand it, I would have expanded it already.

There are enough stories out there where Inuyasha waits for Kagome in the future and meets her on the other side of the well when she comes back to the modern era for good. I don't need to add yet another story to the pile.

Bored Bored Bored
Today has been awfully boring. The only highlights were when I was watching CNN, when the news caster said 'thousands of dead birds have died' and when the President used the word 'yall' in a national address, which leaves me wondering how the hell can dead birds die if they are already dead. Makes absolutely no sense.

I managed to repair most of the scarf piece that had been messed up and I just don't feel like knitting anymore tonight. I know I need to get it done, but after my hands locked up last night I'm afraid to push myself over the limit.

Hmmm...what else has happened...I nearly ran out of gas on the way to the gas station, my boyfriends kids are unusually happy go lucky today, and one of my friends is supposed to be coming over so she can bitch about her life (which I will agree sucks).

Maybe I can get some writing done this evening. I'm leaving one of my LJ communities because the members don't seem to remember how to use a bloody LJ cut, I'm reorganizing my profile and friends list at Gaia, and I'm going to add some little tweaks to this page too. Not sure what yet. Maybe some music, or a video, definitely some graphics or banners. I want to pimp my stories because I'm amazing. Not really, but my huge ego tells me to say that. So, on behalf of large ego, I'm totally fucking fabulous.

I'll probably post again later, but for the time being I'm going to go do something productive.
