Bored Bored Bored
Today has been awfully boring. The only highlights were when I was watching CNN, when the news caster said 'thousands of dead birds have died' and when the President used the word 'yall' in a national address, which leaves me wondering how the hell can dead birds die if they are already dead. Makes absolutely no sense.

I managed to repair most of the scarf piece that had been messed up and I just don't feel like knitting anymore tonight. I know I need to get it done, but after my hands locked up last night I'm afraid to push myself over the limit.

Hmmm...what else has happened...I nearly ran out of gas on the way to the gas station, my boyfriends kids are unusually happy go lucky today, and one of my friends is supposed to be coming over so she can bitch about her life (which I will agree sucks).

Maybe I can get some writing done this evening. I'm leaving one of my LJ communities because the members don't seem to remember how to use a bloody LJ cut, I'm reorganizing my profile and friends list at Gaia, and I'm going to add some little tweaks to this page too. Not sure what yet. Maybe some music, or a video, definitely some graphics or banners. I want to pimp my stories because I'm amazing. Not really, but my huge ego tells me to say that. So, on behalf of large ego, I'm totally fucking fabulous.

I'll probably post again later, but for the time being I'm going to go do something productive.

I Screwed Up
I screwed up the scarf bad and had to rip out about eight inches. Whoo hoo. My hands hurt now from fixing it.

Scarf Report #1!
Here are some images from the first day of working on the Slytherin scarf:

Here are my yarns that I'm using. The green is a little too bright in my opinion, but it works.

My real start after at least two false starts:

And last but not least, a comparison between what I am making and the official Slytherin scarf purchased from the Harry Potter Warner Bro's Shop:

That last image shows just how fabulous the gray is. I love it love it. Perfection!

Tomorrow I'll have more images! I have gotten the first set of stripes started, and now I have to look for a patch to put on it. Well, that's if my customer wants the patch, but it can't hurt to look!

I want to start doing something for myself as well, some sort of clothing item. I just don't know what! I could make a dress, or possibly a pair of trousers. I dunno. One thing at a time, haha!

   Knitting and Birthdays
Well, working on yet another Slytherin scarf. It's turning out great so far and I'm happy. I've found the perfect colors (even though I'm not fond of the texture of the yarn), and the stitches are coming out perfect. Overall the project is going over swimmingly and I'm quite proud.

Today is Pa's birthday. He passed away when I was four, but I can still remember him joking that everything closed on his birthday because he was that darn special. Today is Veteran's Day here in the United States, so all of the banks and government buildings are closed. Tomorrow the other half and I are getting some friends together to cook and have a small party. They may say it's for Veteran's Day, though I'm still a firm believer that we are celebrating Pa's birthday. *nods*

My birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I'm yet to figure out what I'm going to do. I haven't done anything for my birthday in years so it doesn't really matter to me. I'll get a phone call from my dad and my sister, my boyfriend will be playing video games with his mates, and I will probably be here knitting and watching CNN. Whoo boy that sounds like a night full of thrills and excitement! *snort* Another year older yet I haven't accomplished a damn thing.

FFVII and New Banner
I've been playing FFVII all day today. It's getting to the point to where I am almost getting bored and hungry, but I want to play some more.

Maybe I should take a break.

Here's the banner I got for participating in one of my LJ friend's Halloween Drabble Challenge. She's so nice to take the time to make these banners for everyone who takes part in her challenges ^_^

Still Sick
I still have the flu, but I found something to take up my time while I am sick: Amazon.com and Ebay. Greatest things ever. I've got some manga that I have wanted to get rid of, so I put it up on Amazon.com last night, as well as a few other books. Soon I'm going to put some of my old collectibles on Ebay and make a little cash on the side. Sewing is great, but it doesn't pay the most money.

I also got another idea; making and selling cosplay accessories. At least until I can get enough funds to start making more of the larger scale costumes. I am figure I'll start off with rather basic things, like necklaces (Inuyasha's necklace, WHR orbos), bracelets, other little simple things that I know how to make by hand rather inexpensively. It will be something different, and if I don't sell any of my creations I'll be set if I ever decide to go out and cosplay again. It's been four years, but I may decide to do it again someday.

Meeting People
I don't remember how I met so many people the first time I was on here. I honestly don't.

So my question of the day is: How do you meet people on this site? I have been doing the same thing I did with my first account. I surf through the fanart and other different areas and make comments, and I've gone through and left GB entries on people's pages.

Eh. All in time.

Well Hawt Damn!
I was searching through the most recent IYFG stuff to see if a buddy of mine was nominated, and go figure my partner in crime and I were both nominated as well. I didn't expect it.

Why does no one tell me these things? This is the third time I've had to find out for myself by accident.
