   Nooooooooo!!!!!!

What is it about July and my sinuses? I think I have a sinus infection. My sinuses have been achey all day, but in the past couple of hours, my upper teeth have begun to hurt. When that happens, it usually is because of a sinus infection. I don't want a sinus infection right now. I go on vacation in about 10 days!! Argh!

Now my stupid wireless connection is out again. I disabled and re-enabled the wireless capability of the DSL modem and I think the longest I've been connected since then is about 5 minutes. Of course, last night when I was doing some maintenance on this old laptop, I stayed connected. If I was actually wanting to do anything online, the connection dropped. I wonder if we need to get something else connected to the modem to have a constant wireless signal. I'm getting sick of having to run upstairs to reboot the modem every ten minutes. Well, not really that often, but it does seem like I'm always running up there to do something to the stupid thing.

Sunday... not at work.

It's a Sunday. I'm not at work. I almost don't know what to do....

So.... I spent some time with my brother in the early part of the day. He went up to try to nap before he has to go to work. I turned on the TV and promptly took an hour and a half nap myself. I slept through half of a show about the Sphinx and all the way through one about Cleopatra. They probably would have been interesting, but I missed them. Oh well...

Now I sit here watching Law & Order: Criminal Intent. And loathing the commercials....

We've got movie sign!!!!

Anyhoo... Friday was a day off. Yes. Friday. No work.

It was bloody hot and humid out, but weather be damned, I went to a movie!!!! Yeah. My brother & I went to see Hellboy II today. It was a lot of fun. I may never take the Barry Manilow song I Can't Smile Without You seriously again. As if I could take it seriously in the first place.... I was in and out of my Barry Manilow phase by the end of 8th grade. Thats' about 30 years ago, folks! To put it briefly, the movie was a lot of fun.

Well, now it's not quite midnight and I'm goofing online. I read most of my email early this afternoon before going off to the movie, so this is now pretty much goof off time. I should use this nice quiet time to do some studying of Japanese, but have opted to waste time instead.

Oh yeah... I'm about ready to start the Vacation Countdown! Yes. I'm taking a real vacation in a couple weeks and am actually going somewhere! The state of Iowa will have to get along without me for a week. I'm going out to Maryland to see my parents and where they spend half the year. I may even get to go to Gettysburg. I'm really excited to get to go.

So... that's about it for me. I'm off to spread my mania elsewhere now. Bwahahahahaaaa!!!!

   The vacuous cycle continues....

Yep. Tuesday off and I'm doing laundry!

Sunday evening was interesting at work. We had a massive thunderstorm roll in and make life interesting around 5:00 pm. The truly interesting thing was that a tornado touched down in Stone State Park, which is about 5 miles or so from the motel! Some of the people that came in said they could see funnel clouds forming overhead as they were traveling up the interstate. Such fun.

Monday was pretty dull at the motel compared to Sunday. I think part of the reason it wasn't so bad was that I wasn't working with the little psycho. So much more relaxing when I work with someone that has a clue!

Well... that's about it for now. I think I will wander off and see what sort of mayhem I can spread today.

   Well, crap.

Was supposed to be a day off today. Phone rang at 10:00 to wake me up. It was work calling. The girl scheduled for tonight called in "sick" and I have to work now. The only plus to having to work is getting paid overtime! The negative aspects of having to work tonight would fill up a pretty long list!

Well... I got about a half hour before I have to get ready for work, so I will plow on and continue my mad rantings about the internet.

Once again... day off.

Yep. It's Tuesday and a day off. Hooray.

I feel kinda "bleh" today. That may be from the lack of sleep. I made the mistake of having a 20 oz Coke after midnight and then staying up until 3:00 am playing my Indiana Jones Lego game on my DS. Then I woke up around 6:00 am and laid awake for around 45 minutes. When I did wake up again, it was about 11:15. So my internal clock is way out of whack today!

Laundry is almost done, as is the norm for a day off at this end of the week. I've gotten through all of my email now and have a few other things to do before I feel that I can do some goofing off on the computer. I may save some of the goofing for later this evening.

Well, hope everyone's doing fine and keeping cool this summer.
