letter back!!
i sent in one of my poems!! and i got a letter back!! here's what it says!!:
Dear Cassandra (sorry don't want u to know my last name),
Thank you for your entry into Creative Communication's Celebration of Young
Poets Contest. Your entry has been received and has been sent on to be
judged.
About 4-6 weeks after the contest is over the poets who have been accepted to be published
will be sent a certificate and a proofsheet of their poem to make any
corrections before it goes to print. This proofsheet must be returned to
have the poem published. The Top Ten winning poems for each region will then
be chosen to award the monetary prizes.
We wish you good luck with your entry.

hi everyone! i just heard about a contest in my area! it's for poets!
AND CAN U GUESS WHAT THE PRIZES ARE?!?!?! $3,000!!! OR some prizes.... AND IF ONE OF MY TEACHERS GET 5 OR MORE STUDENTS THEN OUR POEMS ARE GONNA BE PUT IN A BOOK!!!^^
now the final question is.....
should i compete?

ok, i was at a party Friday and Saturday, then i came home with a hyper friend....i got barely any sleep so i went to bedlastnight durring gohst n the shell, i woke up an she had 2 leave...then i did some stuff and got tired again so i went back to sleep...i had the strangest dream that my cat was possesed by some creep, then i woke up and my sister was sitting across the room and started to talk to me....then i came in here and i feel kinda weak so i gotta wake up compleetely.....*sigh* and i still have a head cold...

you were brave,
when everyone was afraid,
you would die,
if it'll save the ones you love,
but,
i never wanted you to,
you meant too much,
now if the only way for me to see you again,
is to die,
then so be it,
i'll never forget you,
i'll cry till i die,
if it'll let me see you again.
