Theme of the Day!
Today's theme of the day is Gilgamesh.

This is is gothic sci-fi as I said earlier.

This show is actually really good though the first episode can be confusing to those who do not know who Gilgamesh was or for anyone who didn't know about Bablyon for that matter.

Well, I just discovered a new anime that I happen to really really really like. It's called Gilgamesh and it is a gothic sci-fi. I'll make it the theme of the day for tomorrow.

Harry Potter
At midnight last night my parents and I were standing in line to get the new Harry Potter book. I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, so it was a good excuse to stay up later than I normaly do. There were so many people that dressed up in costumes, it was hilarious. My dad would hate how many more people will be dressing up at the convention I'll be going to in a few weeks. Anyways, we were like number 128 to get the book. After I got home, I read the first chapter of it and to my dismay, it was actually better than it usually is. Anyways, I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while.

Plot Summary: It's the year of destiny, and 15 year old Kamui Shiro, a powerful psychic, has returned to Toyko after a 6 year absence, having left when he was very young. He wants to be with his childhood friends, Fuma (his best friend) and Kotori, Fuma's little sister (and Kamui's possible girlfriend). He wants to protect them from all dangers, but destiny and fate are haunting Kamui and pulling in himself and his beloved childhood friends. It is his destiny and his sole decision to decide the fate of the world, no matter if he wants the role or not. Now it is a matter of if he will join the side of the Seven Seals and become the Dragon of Heaven to save mankind or join the Seven Angels and become the Dragon of Earth to destroy all civilization so the earth can heal itself from man's destruction.

The Ending Theme to this is "Forever Love" by X Japan. That is one of my favorite Japanese bands. Forever Love is a very excellent song and very emotional. I almost cried after I listened to it. One of my good friends told me about the song and I've loved it ever since.

Main Character

Kamui Shirou
Kamui is the main character of X. He and his mother left Tokyo six year's ago after the death of Sayo Monou (Fuma and Kotori's mother). He has now returned to Tokyo only to discover that the fate of the world rests in his hands. Initially, Kamui is very cold, arrogant, and mistrustful, even to his childhood friends, Fuma and Kotori. However, Kamui is just trying to keep his distance to protect them from the chaos that surrounds him. When he lets his guard down, Kamui actually is a very caring and loyal person. More than anyone else, Kamui cares about and wishes to protect Fuma and Kotori. This desire to protect them and their future is what ultimately leads Kamui to become a Dragon of Heaven.

Storyline
In a world of pirates, one man wants to become the greatest of them all: Monkey D. Luffy, who gained strange powers from eating the cursed Gum-Gum Fruit! Luffy and his crew, including Nami, a thief and swindler, and Roronoa Zolo, master of the three-sword fighting style, sail the Seven Seas in search of the legendary treasure One Piece.

Main Character

Monkey D. Luffy

Luffy is a young boy who wishes to become a pirate. Luffy greatly admires Shanks, the leader of a gang of pirates staying in his town, but one day he accidentally eats their spoil of battle, a "Devil Fruit". The fruit's effect made it so that Luffy could never swim for the rest of his entire life, but his body also obtained the mysterious power to move like it was rubber! However, immediately after that, he angered Shanks' enemies, the bandits, and was tossed into the water in the middle of the sea. As he was drowning a monster attacked Luffy, but in a split-second Shanks was there to save him! Ten years later, using Shanks' straw hat as his trademark, Luffy set out for sea. His great journey to become a pirate had begun.

Searching for companions, the exultant Luffy has set off towards the "Grand Line" with his first crew mate, "Pirate Hunter Zoro". But, along the way, they became involved in a fight between the Buggy pirate crew and Nami, the Pirate Thief. Luffy, who realizes that Nami has excellent navigation skills and knows that Buggy holds a map to the Grand Line, decides to face off against the Buggy crew! After defeating the Buggy crew's second-in-command and chief of staff, he and Zoro finally face off against Buggy! But Buggy also has Devil Fruit powers, and he seems to have known Shanks...

New Orleans
I just got back from New Orleans yesterday. I had a great load of fun. The French Quarter was absolutely lovely. There were still Mardi Gras beads on the trees. Anyways, I'll post more about the trip later.
