   Snow Day!

Hi everyone!

Hahaha, it must have snowed like 2 feet outside last night! My moms car is covered with hard packed snow. There are snow plows all over the streets. My entire back yard looks like a winter wonderland.

And do you wanna know what the best part of all this is?

I HAVE NO SCHOOL!!!!!

Yay!!! This is sooo great. My dad was nice enough to let me sleep. I woke up a few minutes ago. It is 10:30 right now. There isnt much on Tv right now, so i have Nirvana playing right now on Windows media player and im typing up this myotaku post into my blog. Thats really all. The snow day is the best and only thing happing right now.

Here is todays poem:

Snowflakes
By:Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Out of the bosom of the Air,

Out of the cloud-folds of her garments shaken,

Over the woodlands brown and bare,

Over the harvest-fields forsaken,

Silent, and soft, and slow

Descends the snow.

even as our cloudy fancies take

Suddenly shape in some divine expression,

Even as the troubled heart doth make

In the white countenance confession,

The troubled sky reveals

The grief it feels.

This is the poem of the air,

Slowly in silent syllables recorded;

this is the secret of despair,

Long in its cloudy bosom hoarded,

now whispered and revealed

to wood and field.

Well, thats it. Talk to ya later!

   The music and arts show!

Hi everyone!

Last night was soo great! My school had our music and arts show. The art classes made some great art to show, and our school band, gospel group, our "Ladies of Harmony" which is a all girl chorus, and the normal chorus all were in the music part of the show. I was in the chorus. The theme was "Christmas around the world". Pretty much, its about songs from around the world. The band did a few really cool songs, including a really sweet solo by a friend of mine on a guitar. Then the gospel group got up. Wow, they were really great. They did "Lean on me" and a few other songs. When they were done, the Ladies of Harmony came on stage. They are a all girl chorus of about 10 girls. They did a few chirstmas songs. But, they did a really awsome finnaly. They did "Santa baby", with two "props", lol. The props were two of the guys from our chorus. Hahahaha, it was soo funny. They sat in a chair and while the girls were singing "Santa baby", they flirted with the boys. They were soo embarassed to be on stage with the girls, lol. After that, it was our turn. There was a 10 minute intermisson so then we could prepare the stage and the audienece could go look at the art in the lobby. The chorus sat outside of one of the side doors in a small hallway for 10 minutes. You see, we were going to file in from the hallway to the stage while singing a song. It was pretty sweet. We sung about 6 songs. Everyone was VERY impressed by our preformence. I had teachers coming up to me today saying "Great job!" Wow, its a great feeling. And, the chorus isnt done yet! We still have three more shows to do before winter break. But, thats a story for another day.

Here is todays poem:

We sing
By:Linda A. Copp

We sing as does the wind.
Its own song, in its own time.
Whispering, shouting,
speaking inaudible sounds
and listening for its echo.

Silence is a shadow,
an illusion,
there in no quiet where life exists.

There is but, one silence,
one time without stir,
and that is eternity,
death.

Call me a secret,
a face, or a song.
Name me a villain,
a witch, a church mouse.
I am a haunt,
I am the unknown,
I am myself
and you are you.

Are we both so loud
that neither hears?
Are we both so seeming
that neither is?
We sing but our songs seem
stagnant, still
And Yet, we sing and sing
until silence falls.

Well, thats it. Talk to ya later!

   The best field trip EVER!

Hi everyone!

Today is the best day that i have had in a while. We had the best field trip ever. We went to the movies and saw the best movie ever. We saw "National Treasure". If you dont know, its about this family who has beileved for generations that there is a secert treasure somewhere. It is sooo freaking awsome!!!!!!!! It has good action, sweet suspence, a wonderful story, and alot of real historical facts. Thats why we went to see it, because of all the historical facts. And beileve me, there are plenty of facts in this movie. For example, did you know that it is not Ben Franklins hand writting on the Declaration of Independence? Thats right! They had someone else write it, in real life, and that person is very important to the movie.

Well, we left school at 9am. We went to the movie theater and saw the movie, which was about 2 hours long. We left the movie theater at about noon. We then had lunch at Mcdonalds! I had a Quarter pounder with cheese, a large fries, a root beer, and a chocolate milkshake!! It was all very good.

Well, that took about a hour and a half since we had 3 buses full of students. When we got back to school, it was 1:25 and last period. I had science, which was cool. My teacher just let us talk since most kids skipped out last period, lol. This was the best field trip EVER. I hope to do it again sometime.

Here is todays poem:

Silence
By: RaiRai
http://www.postpoems.com/members/rairai/

Some say silence is golden,
Others say it is a sin,
All I know is I'm captured,
Sunken deep within,
This empty void I carry,
These burdens I do bear,
And all the while I cry,
With no one I will share,

The confusion of my heartbeat,
Yet another choice to sigh,
This world has not a sound now,
Except for my sweet cry,
And I will continue until one day,
I hear another song,
And then silence will have a friend,
And I will journey on.

Well, that it. Talk to ya later!

   Its snowing!

Hi everyone!

Well, it is snowing right now. As i type this, snow is drifting down and landing on pavement. Hmm...maybe i should make a poem about it, lol.

Its not sticking. I am too close to the coast, so i will probably get more rain than i will get snow. That also means that i get alot of ice, which is bad for driving. I think i might have to leave earlier tommorow because of the ice that is going to be on the roads.

Well, my chorus teacher wasnt mad. She was just very disapointed. I think that's worse. My show in front of the entire school is on December 15th, in 9 days. We dont have alot of time to practice, so my teacher will be doing nothing but having us practice and practice until we are one perfect chorus. I hope we will be ready in 9 days.

Hey, i think its raining! *checks the window* Yep! It's raining. I hope it stops soon.

Here is todays poem:

Endless grave
By: RaiRai
http://www.postpoems.com/members/rairai/

This is my endless grave,
This void that holds me down,
The soil is my thoughts,
My conscience is the ground,
I dwell here alone,
In this capture of space,
This mild desolation,
That leaves me in this place,

This is my endless grave,
This darkness that overbears,
The gravestone is my memory,
My mind is the tomb’s stairs,
I dwell here alone,
In this black room,
This empty confession,
To my life’s doom.

Well, thats it. Talk to ya later.

   We should've done better!

Hi everyone.

Last night (on friday),my chorus class had a show. We were singing at my towns tree lighting. It is a thing my town does every year. I met my class on main street at 5:45pm in 30 degree weather. When i got down there, we marched down main street to city hall. We marched in between two firetrucks, one with a guy in a santa suit. We started to sing a few Xmas songs. The thing is, a few stupid idiots messed it up for all of us. They were completely out of tune from
the rest of us. We wouldve been perfect, if it wasnt for a few stupid idiots. We were suppose to sing 10 songs, but we only did 4. I guess my teacher wanted to stop the pain. Oh well, at least it was kinda fun. I hope we can do better for my school show coming up soon.

Here is todays poem:

Dimension
By: RaiRai
http://www.postpoems.com/members/rairai/

This is my dimension,
This eerie, empty place,
A place where the heart once lurked,
Where angels used to play,
Chaos was a blessing,
Now solitude reigns through,
A heartache and depression,
Even though renewed,
The walls seem dark and painted,
The door is locked and barred,
There are no windows to look through,
Even the fires are charred,
The colors are a spiral,
Of all that I had known,
Seeping from thoughts of childhood,
Those times that I've outgrown,
So what is to be of that time?
Am I to forget and then move on?
For now I dwell in limbo,
With myself, and Darkness' song.

Well, that it. Talk to ya later.

   Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone.

Wow, i am sooo stuffed! I dont think i can eat anoher bite. We had so much wonderful food. We had a 14 pound turkey, baked corn, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed sqash, asparagus, cranberry sauce, rich gravy, and hot rolls. Not only that, but we have two pumbkin pies, one large apple pie, and banana bread. I didnt eat get to have a taste of everything, but im still very stuffed. It looks like we are going to have alot of leftovers, lol. I love leftovers. There are so much you can do with them. We are going to be eating turkey for days, lol.

Here is todays poem:

Thanksgiving
By Edgar Albert Guest

Gettin' together to smile an' rejoice,
An' eatin' an' laughin' with folks of your choice;
An' kissin' the girls an' declarin' that they
Are growin more beautiful day after day;
Chattin' an' braggin' a bit with the men,
Buildin' the old family circle again;
Livin' the wholesome an' old-fashioned cheer,
Just for awhile at the end of the year.

Greetings fly fast as we crowd through the door
And under the old roof we gather once more
Just as we did when the youngsters were small;
Mother's a little bit grayer, that's all.
Father's a little bit older, but still
Ready to romp an' to laugh with a will.
Here we are back at the table again
Tellin' our stories as women an men.

Bowed are our heads for a moment in prayer;
Oh, but we're grateful an' glad to be there.
Home from the east land an' home from the west,
Home with the folks that are dearest an' best.
Out of the sham of the cities afar
We've come for a time to be just what we are.
Here we can talk of ourselves an' be frank,
Forgettin' position an' station an' rank.

Give me the end of the year an' its fun
When most of the plannin' an' toilin' is done;
Bring all the wanderers home to the nest,
Let me sit down with the ones I love best,
Hear the old voices still ringin' with song,
See the old faces unblemished by wrong,
See the old table with all of its chairs
An I'll put soul in my Thanksgivin' prayers.

Well, thats it. Talk to ya later!

   Half day! Part 2.

Hi everyone!

Well, today was another half day at school. A really boring half day. It's been raining almost all day. We watched a few more minutes of the Perfect Storm movie. Its getting good. We are almost done with it. In chorus, my teacher became sick so she wasnt there. We had a subsitute that allowed us to fool around and not do anything. Then we had a pep-rally. My schools football team has a really big game on Thanksgiving day, so we had a pep-rally. This was really cool because i got to miss math class. This was the worst pep-rally we have ever had. The microphones werent working right, so we had very loud feedbacks that hurt everyones ears. Not only that, it was boring. They kept messing up the music, and none of the jokes were funny. It was a boring end to a boring day.

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, im not going to eat a thing today. All im going to do is drink alot of water. That way, i can eat more of the turkey and stuffing my mom is going to make. ^_^

Here is todays poem:

Surrender
By:RaiRai.
http://www.postpoems.com/members/rairai/

The sun shines her light on me,
Before she dies, beneath the sea,
Her golden eyes close and dream,
Leaving me alone, here unseen,

I lay on that beach she left me on,
Singing her everlasting song,
And though the skies are dark and grey,
I’ll lay here and wait for her again,

She surrendered, got torn down,
Within the seas, she did drown,
And though the waves surge over me,
I will not give in; I’ll stay free.

Thats it. Talk to ya later!

   Half a day! Part one.

Hi everyone!

Today was pretty cool. I had a half a day in school today. This happens every year because the last two days before Thanksgiving we have half days. I had 30 minute periods, plus lunch. We really didnt do much work. In science, we are watching The Perfect Storm. This movie is really cool. And its based on a true story. It happened not too far from where i am. That is probably the best thing that happened today, next to leaving early. School ended at 12:30 and i was home by 1:00. And now im typing this up. Thats pretty much my entire day.

Here is todays poem:

Beginning of the end.
Made by:RaiRai.
http://www.postpoems.com/members/rairai/

I felt the sunrise
tasted it
drank the skies
and devoured the sun
in just once glance
an eternity
a life only just begun

it was the moment I broke down
the first instance of tranquility
the end of the beginning
and yet the start of times past gone
I've given everything to silence
just to kiss the morning sky
and watch the sunlight pass me by
in this time of heartache
this world of pain
I'll be reborn
tomorrow is another day

Well, thats it. Talk to ya later.

   My report card.

Hi everyone!

Thats right. Today i got my report card. *sigh* It isnt the best thing ever, but its better than failing everything. Lets just say, it's a work in progress. lol.

Here are my grades:

English: F+
Math: D
Spanish: F-
Science: B
History: C
Chorus: B

I have never failed English before. I dunno why i failed it, but it was only a 58. So, i will pass it on my next report card. And i suck at spanish. I might drop it. I dunno yet.

Todays poem is made by me!! It is the first poem i made in 4 years. I hope you like it!

Here is todays poem:

Ocean of Dreams

Floating gently
In a Ocean of Dreams
Without a care in my untroubled mind
I start to look around.

I look to my left
And I see my dark past
Where childhood memories
Are darker than the darkest night.

I look to my right
And I see millions of possibilities
For a bright and hopeful future
Where I can make all my dreams
Become reality.

Well, thats it. Talk to ya later.

   I got my class ring!!

Hi everyone.

Today was soo cool! I finally got my class ring!!!!!! YAY! I've been waiting soo many years to get my ring. And i finally got it. It looks sooo freaking great. It cost $206.65. It has my birthstone in it, which is light blue for March. One one side, it has my first name and a peace sign. One the other side it has 2006 and my school mascot. The ring is made out of silver. It has my name on the inside band. I love it! I am sooo happy.

Here is todays poem:

A perfect day.
By: Sasami Android

Laughing I dance down the sidewalk
For this was the perfect day
People see me and they balk
For showing feelings was not their way

I run just because I can
Jumping over instead of going around
For in my whole life span
My life seems to have finally been found

It was breezy, light and cool
The sky blue, not a cloud was seen
I tumbled on the grass, acting the fool
All the pieces are how it should’ve been

Lying there, I stare up and smile
For every day come new beginnings
Though some may be a trial
Much more bring happy things

I turn over and sigh, eyes slowly close
I’m not perfect, but I am content
Life is not some meaningless prose
For you to live is life’s intent

Thats it. Talk to ya later.
