   goodies!
HERE is a shot of my catch of the day, tis a fine one indeed. I saw this link and epona figurine at game stop and once I touched it, it WOULDNT let go so I had to buy it. glee! Happily bubbleing over my prize, we went over to another video game store because Gamestop AND fred meyers were sold out of memory cards.

Any ways, THAT store was sold out as well, but lo and behold! There was Soul Caliber II there so I kinda needed to rent that (sorry if I'm sounding a little greedy). But alas. The clerk pointed out the SAME game behind the
glassAND at half price for $20!!!!!!!!! Alas, alas, twas fate. M&Ms were a late Chrismas gift, Merry Bobblehead from my sister just because. Joy for materialist goods! I feel guilty, but hey, I never really indulge like this too much anyways ;)

Alls well that ends well (I think that's from little house on the prarie) and I'm a
happy camper!

   the mother of all posts!
Ok, wow, it HAS been a long time since I last updated. I’ve been on, checking up on other peoples, but no, danni, that DOESN’t count. I don’t know how some people do it. I got promoted to guild council on my neopets. guild, so I feel a certain responsibility to make sure I check in with them.

Since the 17th hm..

After last day for school, wrapped presents for Key club’s adopted family, went for pizza, then bowling, wheee! of course I saw lotr, which was of course immensly phenomenal and completely blew me away. I wanted to bite gandalf he was so mean. I don’t want to ruin anything so I won’t elaborate on anything

And then I enjoyed a weekend FREE from school or work or busyness! Saturday I got to go SNOWBOADING for the very first time. Gasp you say, that I live in alaska, why is it my first go? Of course it costs a lot and I don’t really have extra time amognst my activieties, even on the weekends. Saw Galen there at the mountain.

My friend said I was doing pretty well for the first time, I guess so, because I had to wait for a guy that’s already gone about 5 times before. Only fall that hurt was when I fell flat on my stomach, knocked ALL the wind out of me! And the one at the lodge where I burned myself eating pizza, I still have the scar from that.

A bit better than the time when I first went downhill skiing. Blew up, apparently. That’s what josh said. Mushroom cloud of snow. hurt like I blew up too, ouch! I ramble.

Monday work. Then met friends to start on our history day project. Fi gave me an authentic Alaska grown t-shirt! Tuesday I met with Emly and gathered all our materials. Then quit, quite predictably. *sigh. she left now I have to do it on my own.

*cheer. Christmas eve RELAXATION. Church. We had a guest priest who’s sermon disturbed me. He made several remarks promoting anti-semitsm, homophobia, and ethno centricity. Our regular priest I love, I particularly remember the sermon about toleration and love your neighbor, no matter wat he’s done. It is up to Him, not me who judges people.

Chrismas! I feel very fortunate when I remember those santa letters. I got a subscription to NP with the promotional disc, a snowboard rental gift certificate, and a necklace. A couple weeks ago I was doing something for Key club, answering santa letters! Letters from all over the world come to North Pole, Alaska! Children of the world rejoyce! But it is quite depressing. Dozens of kids from downtown LA and elswhere hardly had anything, much less a Christmas dinner at all!

There’s that one letter that sticks up in my head among all those letters asking for clothes shoes and a job for their parents. A kid 8 yrs old, he wrote about a gang stole his dad’s car with all his tools, and now nobody wants to employ him without tools. He writes that please let his 16 year old sister to find a job to help their dad out. *tear

ok, today, did overtime for work, then came home and watched cosby show, ate enchiladas mmmmmm. Will watch X-men, baby, ya!

Got the first two final over with today!!! And they were the hardest ones, that I will study for anyways. Tomorrow is jest Band and English.

And gues what?!? I SAW MIEK TODAY! (dances a jig) he's coming back to school next semester. My mind has been so bored and burned this semester. A little mike serving as a brain ointment always does the trick!

He was so very kind to give me a ride to the bus stop.......which was just across the street.

Much joy today, got to watch Samurai Jack, Inuyasha, AND Cowboy Bebop, AND read 100 pages in my much pleasurable book, the Legend of Huma! It feels SSOOO gooood to be able to read and fit it into my day.

I feel like candy!

   rrrrrrrrrrrrr
My poor baby experienced discrimination the other day. Couple of immature kids in our class called him a ‘damn European’. I don’t understand what they have against “Europeans”, if you want to be technical, he’s Scandinavian (from Norway). sigh. Things ignorant people do to make themselves feel better about themselves.

I mean, it didn’t even matter to them where exactly in the continent he was from. ‘Ho. ho! Here is something that we can pick on, so let’s!’ Poor simple creatures. It is a Scourge of humanity that creates hate. Not even hate of an individual for any dislikable qualities, but the simple fact that he is from another place.

It happens all over, Americans, Europeans, ANY place: with our insensible nativism, nationalism, ethnocentricity, racism, and all other xenophobias. Here in Alaska the racism happens to Alaska Natives—which includes ALL the various groups like Athabaskan, Yupik, Tglingit, and all the countless smaller groups.

I happen to be Yupik Eskimo as well, I know how he feels. My face stucture is not roundish like others, my eyes not almond (that eye in my picture is mine!), my skin slightly lighter than other Natives, so people can’t really tell my ethnic background though they can tell I’m not white; when these people I knew asked and I replied, they got quiet like they were surprised.

But I hear the racism all over, in classrooms, in crowds, on the radio, in the newspaper. I don’t feel like there’s anything I can do about it. I can’t change human nature. Even if people stopped hating Natives, they’d still find another group to do it to.

Sorry, racism and ethocentricity are one of the many topics that set me off. I just hope it's all worth it, by speaking my opinions.

   ummmmbriiiiidge
Had concert for band, concert next Sunday for orchestra. FINALS next week. Went to Aikido after missing a week for catching up on some of my homework through the semester. I am feeling contempt for everything at school, even the people. Meh.

Crunch time, baby! Stange how I’m immune from the evil buggies of teachers. My AP Physics teacher is Umbrige come to life! Umbrige, I tell you!!! That irritating Ahem, Ahem, makes you want to wring her neck. Everyone agrees that she is the most anal teacher, person, or toilet in the whole school. Anal personnified.

For instance, she took off all points because I was doing all the addition, subtraction, mult. and division in my head, not using a calculator. I was still writing what we needed to. Nother time, a kid was asking to go the bathroom or nurse for a bloody nose. She made him stand there filling out forms and sign out sheets, blood running down his face. (She takes off points for people who take a pass anywhere) Etc. Etc. That is the AP course I’m dropping, thank God!!

Off of the ranting spree, back to juicy gossip (which I’m sure makes all of you sit on the edge of your chairs)……….Moo!

I was mad at Jan, my boyfriend, for something childish he was doing, though it was childish of me to be mad at him…anyways, to make up in a *COUGH, smile* –MOST innapropriate manner, he was tickling me in the side and rubbing my knees and thighs, and generally being funny to make me laugh. Garr, I couldn’t be mad any longer, he was being too cute. awwww what a happy ending.

Watch out for all those stampeding minotaurs, you all.

   oo, baby!
So much has been going on today, I'm pooped, but in a happy kind of poop. Sparing the obscenities, I'll move on.

Woohoooo! I suscribed to Nintendo Power and got the zelda bonus disc from
nintendo.comHow I miss Majora's mask so. I've never played the 1st 2 Zeldas, but I reely want to! EVERYone recommends them!

Couple days ago I called miek, and my life turned around since then! He made me feel not depressed anymore by lending me his imagination, twas a painless procedure.

Finally saw him today at the theater today. Only see him breafly now and then, and this summer he stayed the whole time in a different city. grrr

Yes! Now I'm not so worried about keeping a 4.0 anymore to the point of losing most of my sleep! I sleep at leat 7 hours a night! that's twice as much as before! Turns out that I didn't have to worry so much after all. I have a 90% in APUSH. 80% in English.

Don't look at me like that. Tell me if you know how it is, taking 3 AP(college level) courses, while having a full life of friends, music, anime, aikido, and Key Club.

I'm making it better for myself. I'm dropping one of the AP courses next semester. Meanwhile, my job will take up my whole christmas break, but that makes it that much closer to a car!!
Saw Cat in teh Hat with Frank. Very musch worth a go, laughed my ass off! then saw Gothika with everyone else, including Miek!, where I saw him, of course

Who ever uses a Nutcracker to crack nuts? And why is there a giant lady who gives birth--a bunch of kids came out from under her dress in the Nutcracker. ~_o

   job!
Yay! I got a job at the public library, starts tomorrow after school. One problem: transportation. I have no idea how i'm going to get there every day.

I originally wanted the job so I could buy a car in the first place, but I won't have enough $$$ racked up for another few MONTHS, and what am to do in the meantime? Must try to adjust hours so I can take the city bus there?

And no, my parents can't get me a car. He just built a house on a single-parent income. In other words, we have negative amounts of money, and a WHOLE LOT of it.

I am thinking of leading a project for Key Club, but I don't know the details yet. I want to do something for the animal shelter. Perhaps set up a program that finds homes for all the animals? A Christmas present for the puppies! Suggestions? Ideas to expand upon?

My life is complete! Today Steve gave me his Legend of Huma!!!!! I have been wanting to get my hands on it forever, tis the stuff of legends, it is! It'll be teh next thing I'll read, I vow to my self right here and now.

The problem is figuring when to read it. Job, Key Club, Aikido, minimal homework to pass classes, Hanging out with friends at least 3 days of the week, watching anime, when will I do anything? Or sleep? Ii think I'll do that now. G'night.
