   My Geetar ^_~
Well, last night I rediscovered my guitar. It's an acoustic, shiney, hardly played. So last night I grabbed my pick (which I'd also never used before) and started to play.

It's amazing like that. Something you did for numerous years, then dropped for whatever reason (for me it was the lack of a music teacher to teach me) and then you take it up again, remembering how you fingers go on the fretboard, and how to get that clear note you spent six months trying to catch all those years ago. I taught myself how to read tablature last night too, surprisingly easy. I still have to get the hang of barre chords, pick ups, hammer ons, and chords in general (they don't sound the same on an acoustic ~_~).

I never thought I'd be playing any LotR music on my guitar, but Billy Boyd's solo in RotK is great. Except I'm running down to the 12th fret on the D-string. I dunno if that's easy on an electric, but on an acoustic that's actually on the body of the instrument. I don't know how successful my "rewriting" of the tabs I got are, but it's easier for me to move on 3 different strings than stick to the same one. Sounds pretty funky ^_~

Yup. Totaly random. Hope at least some of you know what I'm talking about ^_^;;

PS: If anyone has some good sites for acoustic/electric/bass guitar, be sure to share!

Ancestor #1: My children never caused such trouble! They all became acupuncturists!
Ancestor #2: Well we can't "all" be acupuncturists!
Ancestor #3: No! Your great-grand-daughter had to be a CROSS DRESSER!!

   Things you'd rather not have O_o
Ever paid loads of money for something, on a whim? Then realise it's a pile of crud and you don't want it anymore?

"Unlimited Saga" for the PS2.... don't buy it. You'll wish you hadn't forked over £40 (more than a week's wages) for it...

   Schmoozles
My day's been a little strange, but yeah O_o;; This is my happy blog! So... yesh... the strangeness O_o

Okay, here's the million quid question: what is a schmoozle? I've been told the verb "to schmooze" means the same as "to mooch" in and around the Iowa, USA area. I've also identified the creature "a schmoozle" be be somewhat like a furry yogurt... Any advances on that?

My French teacher drives a yogurt pot... she told us so herself! @.@;; I tell no lies! O_O;;

   =_=;;
Current Mood: Absolutely knackered...
Currently Listening to: Rakuen no Tobira (Full) ~ Yamoto (From White Bound)

That song's groovy. Maloki is a groovy anime. All hail the grooviness. *worships the grooviness*

Heh, anoyway, now that the freakiness is over, time for my rant.

Have you ever had the kind of days when you do everything wrong? I've just suffered from one of said days. I've been at work from 9am to 5:30pm, and the whole day has seen me make at least five mistakes on my till. I fixed them all, but not without my boss realising ~_~;; I came out of it only 11p up though, which is good. I just can't believe what a stinker the day was. I felt really embarassed too - like I spent the whole day apologising. And I've got myself a headache, which never happens.

Although, I get a lie-in tomorrow which is good - but I have ICT coursework to do. I would be doing it now, but I really just can't be bothered. The stuf'll get in. Even if I'm up until the wee hours of Thursday doing it (my deadline's Friday). Just... ick...

And then, I've had the UCAS assembly. It's like , "you must choose universities like this". I think I snored. Seriously though, I know how to choose my courses. I've already picked five (I could've had up to six), and then we get offers back. Then we have to pick two offers with Firm acceptance and Insurance acceptance. Then, if we get the grades we go to the Firm, if we miss those but get enough for the Insurance, we go to the insurance offer, and if we miss the grades completely we go through clearing. So, obviously, you have to choose those two offers that you're going to accept very carefully. But out of the five, I've already decided I don't want to even go to two of them. And then I'm pretty sure where I want to go out of the three that are left.

I know that they're only trying to help, but I wish my school would let me run my own life O_o;; They're stressing me out something rotten, and my next exams aren't even until June! Geez! O_O;;

   University Rant O_o
Current Mood: Optimistic
Currently Listening to: An episode of Stargate in the background.

Well... My exams are finally over and I've had a little space to breathe properly.

But, y'know, with my exams finishing - I've started to have a strange outlook on life. It's not just about the here and the now anymore. It's about the future. I don't think "what I'm doing now" I think "what I'll be doing next year". With mine and Kal's Japan trip after uni, I'm even thinking that far ahead. It's a strange feeling, that's for sure.

And for any Britons out there, what're people's reactions to that university bill the government's just passed? It's insane... They're making us pay completely for our own university education, and I'm sorry, but several thousand pounds a year does not grow on trees. Now, I know the Americans currently pay for their own education, and some of you might want to point that out. But you've got to remember that we're on a fairly similar wage (ie, we get the same amount for the same types of jobs) and an American cost of living is a lot less than British costs of living. So this new bill just means that, instead of the government helping us through education as it's always been in the past, we've now got to get more loans out than before to cover it all.

Another stress point on this is, we have to start paying our loans back when we're on a certain amount of income. Well, when I go to Japan, my wages will be about £1000 a month, after insurance and rent. So, will they be expecting me to start paying it off then? Because that'll make me seriously freak out. I need the money to live in another country, not to pay back student loans and university fees.

But I am going. If I have to starve myself for a year I'm going. O_o;; RWAR!

   Exam Update ^_~
Ahh, sorry for the lack of updates ^_^;; Mum did cut my internet time. And I've REALLY not had time to be online much anyway - what with all the revising.

Well, quick rundown of my exams so far...

Maths - Pure 1: I kicked supreme ass. 'Nuff said. I want a B out of that paper. Definately ^_~

Maths - Pure 2: The paper was nasty, but I think I did okay. I'm not guessing my grade though... too risky. But I think I've made a D at the very least, maybe a C if I'm pushing it.

Othello: The questions were easy, but English papers are hard to guage. You never really know until you get the results back. But I think it went okay ^_^

Maths - Mechanics 1: BOOM Y'BUGGAR! Heh, that translates to, I reckon I did pretty good. But then again, I said that last time ~_~;; Time will tell I suppose.

So, I have Stats 1, Lear & RotL (two English texts ^_~) and an ICT exam left, and I'm pretty optimistic. My last Lear essay was a B-, and my RotL one was a D+, so, y'never know.

The worst part is I still have MORE exams to go in June. But we'll worry about those later, hmm?
