Revision...
Well... I'm basically writing a post so that I don't have to do so much revision... I swear, I've done nothing for the past three days but work. I've just played on FFX-2 for an hour, and I forgot how nice it is to just relax.

Some pretty exciting stuff's due to happen soon though. I mean, I finish school - forever on the 28th of May. We also have our Prom that night. Now, I always thought of a Prom as a very American thing (me being in England and everything), but no, we've had Prom night for several years now. I have my outfit, and I'm pleased with it. It's kind of a Chinese style set, dark green and with a high collar. I need some jewellry to go with it too, but I'mm find that after I've got my hair done. I'm considering red highlights, but I'm not sure yet. I'm gonna decide by Tuesday.

Then, school's finished. Forever. And I have to go and start sorting everything out for myself. Which rather sucks, I don't want to be an adult anymore ~_~;; But, m'eh I suppose. It'll all work out in the end.

Just wish me luck, I might be needing it...

Exams and junk...
Song of the Day: "Everybody Out of the Water (New Frontier)" ~ The Wallflowers
Current Mood: Desperate
Current Obsession: Studying
Actor of the Day: William Petersen ~ CSI (Gil Grissom)
Quote of the Day: "I believe you don't what you've got 'til you say goodbye." ~ Savage Garden - Affirmation

Gah... I'm hoping those font tags work properly O_o;; They may not, but what the heck.

Anyway, just so everyone knows I haven't died or anything ^_^ I have my dates for my exams O_O!! Which sucks... because I totally haven't got any time to study properly... it's always like that. You feel like you have bags of time until you realise you have a deadline... then everything becomes a manic rush...

Thursday 10th June
ICT - Unit 19

Friday 11th June
Maths - Stats 2
Maths - Stats 1

Wednesday 16th June
Maths - Pure 3

Thursday 17th June
Gen Studies - Unit 4
Gen Studies - Unit 5

Thursday 24th June
Gen Studies - Unit 6

Wednesday 30th June
English Lit - Comp/Cont

I guess I'm listing these for my own confirmation than for anyone else's benefit. But anyone who's due to sit GCSEs, AS-Levels, A-Levels, or any related qualifications this summer have all my best wishes. Apparently it gets easier when you go to university... Apparently...

Meh... I'm just putting my homework off now... so I'm gonna go do it ^_~

   Moochin'
*twitches* Well, I'm writing the code myself... which is strange at best, but hopefully it'll come out okay... and y'know... readable O_o (I'm trying out comic sans ^_^)

As for the post, what I meant to say was that I updated the look a little. I was considering going pink with it, but alas. I decided not to ^_^ Pink's not really my colour. Although my other blog is all pinky/lilacy now. M'eh I say! Piffle!

Oh, and that tree is actually one in my front garden. We had a spirt of beautiful weather and all the blossoms came out. Very pwetty ^_~

   Point-and-click ^_~
Song of the Day: "What Can I Do For You?" - Koda Kumi (FFX-2)
Current Mood: Enthusiastic!
Current Obsession: Point-and-click games
Actor of the Day: Eric Szmanda - CSI (Greg Sanders)
Quote of the Day: "It's worth the risk of being hurt a hundred times, if you can find that once, when you're not." ~ Mamo-chan

Well, I should really be battling the moster that is revision, but I've decided you guys are good enough to be blessed with my divine and holy presence ^_~

I think, what I'm going to do today, is talk about something I haven't talked about in a good long while. Videogames

Now, as some of you may or may not know, I want to go to university to study video games technology, like the programming and modelling etc. (That, incidentally is why I'm freaking out in maths - but pfft.)

Does anyone remember a kickbutt game, around 1996, called Ripper? It was released by a company called Take2, and it had music in it by the "Blue Oyster Cult". That song, "Don't Fear the Reaper" is, by the way, the only decent song they've ever released ~_~;;

The game was basically about a reporter, who kept getting mail from a cyberkiller, way into the future. Kind of like Jack the Ripper here in England. Then the Ripper puts Jake's (the main reporter's) girlfriend and partner into a coma, and Jake takes it upon himself to solve the case. It was the graphics that first caught my attention. It runs in DOS (damn my CPU greedy XP) and does the whole 3D thing. The videos, while not the quality they are today, were pretty damn decent.

And, of course, it was a point and click in which it was near impossible to die ^_~ Gotta love those "games-where-you-can't-die" huh? It was kinda gruesome as well, which I liked. I don't like games that bathe in blood, but I like them to be mature about it. Not to be afraid of the red stuff. Just the same way that I don't like verbally abusive games, but I like them to show they know what f--k means. *shrugs* Maybe that makes me wierd.

Under a Killing Moon was another game like Ripper, but, I dunno. It didn't hold quite the same appeal. You could die all too easily in it, and if you hadn't saved you were stuffed. Action games, fair enough, you can die. That's the whole point of the genre right? Hand-eye co-ordination. But puzzle games, no. Another game, that I'd heartily reccomend to fans of the show is CSI. The second game CSI: Dark Motives is supposed to be better, but I won't know that until I've played it. I think it's at the post-office now, waiting for me to go pay a cutoms charge. I just hope they don't want, like, my week's wages or something ~_~;; And don't get me started on the Monkey Island set of games. We could be here a long time ^_~

Well, I think I've bored you guys enough by now ^_^;; Go back to whatever you were doing, hmm?

Laptops
Song of the Day: "Try Your Emotion" - W-inds
Current Mood: Thoughtful
Current Obsession: Laptops
Actor of the Day: Rupert Grint - Harry Potter (Ron)
Quote of the Day: "When you arrive and everyone is busy hooking up their systems and making sure it all works(perhaps some cards or internal cables came loose) you just flip up the screen, turn it on, and heckle everyone else who can't get their system running right. Heckling is one of the best parts of a LAN party after all." ~ Guide-to-laptops.com

I'm looking to get a new laptop for university. And I'm kinda confused by all the stuff that I need to know for it O_o;; Which kind of sucks, considering my course is a video games course, but piffle. I'm gonna think aloud about it for a few moments. Anyone who's not interested should just switch off now ^_~

I'm after something that can play most up-to-date video games. So, a decent graphics card would be handy, as well as a buttload of RAM. The RAM would also be handy for playing DVDs, since I plan to be doing a decent amount of that. And video-editting. Let's not forget the video-editting ^_~;; I'm definately gonna want an up-to-date version of DirectX though. Oh yeah, and a fast CPU would be nice, though I'm not jumping in my seat about it. It'll need to be fairly fast to handle media (DVDs, music, graphics etc), so, yeah. Speedy CPU ^_^;;

Audio, I'm really not too fussed with. Sure, I want an audio card in there, but it's not like I'm gonna be hooked subwoofers up to it, so as long as it'll play CDs and works with headphones, no problemo.

Now, I'm kind of hung on whether I want a CD-RW. Definately not a DVD-RW, or even just a DVD-R, since if I'm dealing with files that are that kind of size, the university will doubtless provide me with ways to push it about. Either that or I can find another way to do it. No worries. But I'm definately after a DVD drive, if just to watch all my movies/fansubs. I'd also love for it to be multi region, but by the looks of things I'm gonna hafta choose a region and stick to it. Which... sucks. Yes it does. :-P

What else?

Oh yeah, all the "little bits". Things like a firewire socket (for my iPod) and USB / USB2.0 ports (for printers, extra harddrive, Zip drives, whatever). I'm also kinda looking at a pocket-hard-drive, or whatever they call them. The ones that are really dinky, like keyring sized, and have like 60/80MB capacity. Those would be handy. Y'know, I've written a paper for my class, why take my laptop to the printer? Why not just take it on the little pocket thing? I dunno if I'm gonna need/want a floppy drive, I'll ask Dad's advice on that. I can't see why I would need one, most of these things get done via CD these days, but y'never know I guess.

So... I'm most concerned with a DVD drive, a quick CPU, RAM, and "sockets". Oh, and the graphics card ^_~

I'm done now, I apologise ^_^;; Comments would be welcome.

I liiiiiive! O_o;;
Just thought I'd update so that you people wouldn't all think I was dead or anything ^_~

I guess I've not really got a lot to say. I did want to ask a question though, if you guys could comment on it. What do you understand by the word "Autism"? I know it's more publisised than it used to be, but call me curious ^_~

Well, don't expect another update for a month or so. School work is killing me. Hope you guys all had a great easter! \^_^/

Just a quicky ^_~
I'm at school right now, so technically I shouldn't be posting on here O_o (they haven't figured out that MyO is a blogging service yet ^_^;;)

Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm alive, and not dead yet. It's all this revision (again) is putting my life pretty much on hold.

I should be getting the last .hack disc tomorrow, which is cool. And two new animes to watch out for, "Stellvia" and "Pretear" -- I swear Greg Ayres is a genius ^_^;;

Oh yeah, and bitorrent is a gift from God. AnimeSuki.com -- go there, NOW!

Chow ^_~

PS: Gah... Azurewolf got me! It's Animesuki.com! Cheers ^_~

Song of the Day: Get Happy - B*Witched
Current Mood: Mildly amused
Current Obsession: Greg and taking care of the Ace of Hearts ^_~

Well... I have written chapter 3 of said fanfic, and if anyone who reads my blog is remotely interested in CSI go to My Fanfiction.net page and check out my latest work, "Implied Connections". If not, then I have some Gundam Wing and Weiss Kreuz stuff, so it may be worth a look ^_~

Or if anyone wants it posting on my MyO then lemme know that too O_o;; Since I will happily oblige if people are willing to read it!

So yeah... I was gonna say more, but I forget what, so enjoy! ^_~

Fanfictions
Song of the Day: My World - Avril Lavigne
Current Mood: Frustrated
Current Obsession: Still Greg & Cookies ^_~

Wow, two posts in as many days (or is it three now?) You lucky people, you!

Well... I wrote the first chapter of "Implied Connections" (I'll probably change the title before it goes onto ff.net). I wanna get a few chapters (many...) before I go online with it. Besides, proof-reading is something that never happens with my fanfictions, so I figure now's a good time to start. Also, I know I'm slipping. Maybe it's because I don't know the characters that well... but I'm noticing a lot of "He said" crap in there. Y'know? The dialogue? *chuckles* I mean, sure dialouge is good, you kind of don't want people to be total mutes. But I was reading this other fanfic yesterday and I was just in awe. I wanna be able to write like that. Totally not fair...

The point, I think, is that chapter one needs brushing up to an amazing degree. And then, only then, if chapter two picks up will I be posting it online. Maybe I was wrong to start with Warrick. He's my least favourite character. There's a difference see, between "person" and "character". Sara's my least favourite person. But Warrick's my least favourite character. At least you know you dislike Sara. With Warrick it's all guesswork.

Blah... I need food O_o;; Excuse my dumb ramblings.

   Updatingness ^_^
Song of the Day: Real Emotion - Koda Kumi (FFX-2 Opening Theme)
Current Mood: Optimistic ^_^
Current Obsession: Greg & Cookies!

Just thought I'd have a quick ramble before I go off to start writing my first CSI fanfiction ^_~

(And no... it's not gonna be all about Greg - much as I'd like that ^o^)

I was at work today... it was a soso day I guess, not a lot happened. I need to start on my English and my ICT coursework tomorrow. I have two books to read and a video to watch for English. Ick. Although, I got my second-last piece of ICT coursework back on Friday and was told it was practically perfect. So, pretty much anything I drop in my exams, I should make up for with my coursework. I'm trying to make my last one near-perfect too, as well as the piece I'm resubmitting. Hell, who knows, I may even be able to pull an A outta my butt at this rate O_o;;

Eep, I have a different English essay to write too O_o;; Probably for Monday. Damnit...

Hmm.... I have updated... be pleased ^_^;;
