   Negima!! Live Action Drama Ep4

Reviewing this episode because there's KonoSetsu hot moments heh.

Seriously, I was really shocked to see a well, chaste kiss right in the beginning lol, never had expected that. I was happily playing it while my parents were in the living room, I was like 'WTF!', *pause* ... *thinks* 'I'll do the screenshooting at night lol. Ah, to my dismay and relief [Cos if they do that it's terribly OOC for KonoSetsu], it's just Secchan's wet dream ... heh. Setsuna's escorting Konoka to the headhouse where they will be meeting Konoka's grandfather.


Basically a typical fanfic kinda angst plot the life action drama picked up, Konoka's grandfather demanded Konoka to go for an Omiai [Formal Marriage Interview aka Matchmaking] and there's no buts. Konoka glanced over at Setsuna kneeling behind her but Setsuna had no expression. Later in the dorm, Negi received a letter from his sister in Wales, Asuna told him off for carelessness as the letter had a return address of to the Magic Academy. As they were chatting about partners and stuff, they never noticed Konoka was in the room and scared them to bits. Luckily, Konoka only heard about the partner being married part.


Negi happened to trip and fall against Konoka's chest when getting the letter back, just then Setsuna entered the room, taking in the scene LOL. Setsuna rushed to Konoka's rescue, pushing Negi away and taking Konoka to her side. Asuna mused that Setsuna seemed to like Konoka huh ... Setsuna stammered, glanced at Konoka who smiled and moved away. Negi agreed that Setsuna likes Konoka ... but ... Konoka's a girl ... lol. Asuna went 'Ah, kids won't understand.'


Unknown to them, Kasumi the reporter/gossiper heard them and spread the news to the whole class. By the next day, Negi was bombarded by weird stories and the girls proceeded on to hug him lol. Negi managed to escape their clutches by teleporting himself out however, Takahata-sensei was teleported in his place where he was pinned down by the girls lol. The girls, realizing it was Takahata-sensei they were hugging, immediately stopped and went, 'Ewww, I have no such interest [in old men]' lol. Btw, lol @ Ayaka's tousled hairstyle. Anyways, Konoka met Negi while she was running away from Setsuna who was supposed to bring her to the Omiai. Konoka then told Negi that she don't want to go to the Omiai and asked Negi to be her partner lol. At that moment, Setsuna found them and went on to grab Konoka away but Negi stopped her and told her that Konoka don't want to go. Setsuna paralyzed Negi with her talisman and left with Konoka. On the ride, Setsuna told Konoka not to call her 'Secchan' but call her surname instead. This probably broke Konoka's heart.


They arrived at Konoka's grandfather's home and found Negi had broke out of Setsuna's talisman and standing in front of them. Setsuna sent Konoka away with the two guards and attacked Negi. It was a brief fighting scene ... just poses here and there as they talked lol. Flashback as Setsuna remembered the sweets Konoka gave to her when they were young and the reason she wanted to be strong was to protect Konoka and her happiness.


Setsuna and Negi rushed in the house, Setsuna then called Konoka by her nickname 'Kono-chan' and asked her to go with her, [LOL it suddenly reminded me of ... Kyoushiro from KTS ... with his 'Let's go ... together' line]. Konoka's grandfather seeing that the omiai made Konoka sad, smiled and said that Konoka's happiness was priority. The group smiled, glad that everything's fine. Walking home, Konoka asked Setsuna to call her 'Kono-chan' again but Setsuna kept quiet probably keeping a distance when they got too close again. - END of Episode 4 -

Well, I've been watching the life action drama since episode 1 ... lol sadly speaking, I really enjoyed the OP and ED, although the acting wasn't that good and Secchan seemed stiff ... I'll take it as nervousness lol. I'm pretty much okay with this episode ... haha although the story was different. Manz, I still think it's pretty dumb that young Setsuna would cry that hard cos Konoka cut her fingers when she picked the sweet for her lol. I'll take the 'drowning-to-the-rescue' flashback in the manga anytime. There's not much punch in this plot, no need for desperation to grow stronger, to protect and cherish ... Oh well.

Recapturing from the previous chapter, Chika thought she was dreaming when Haruna appeared in front of her and even offered to help her in studying. When Haruna told Chika if she felt her presence uncomfortable, she could well, leave ...

Chika yelled that it's nothing like that, in fact she felt happy, Haruna then reminded Chika that they're in the library lol, despite that, Haruna looked happy to hear what Chika said.



Haruna moved her chair to Chika's side and blushed when she saw Chika staring at her, stammering that it'll be easier for her to see Chika's homework if she sat beside her lol. Chika felt that the warm Haruna's back again when she listened to her maths teachings, it's like nothing had happened. Chika decided to work hard to repay Haruna's warmth to her. Unknown to Chika, Haruna's really happy and even zoned out in Chika's presence.

When the lesson's over, Chika made a formal request to Haruna to continue teaching her if it's no troubles ... when Haruna agreed, Chika forgot they were in the library again and thanked Haruna loudly lol. Just then Akiho entered the library and mentioned Chika's voice's too loud lol and she's quite glad that Chika seemed to be back in good spirits again.



Unknown to them, Chiori's been listening to their conversation. The next day, Chika was totally pumped up for her tuition with Haruna. Chika started praising how easy Haruna's teaching methods were, yet grimly added that she doesn't feel that studying's really fun, however Chika went on excitedly that it must be the way Haruna taught her with expressive facial expressions lol.

Chika felt that she might be bothering Haruna with her ramblings but Haruna just chuckled and said that Chika's really interesting. Meanwhile, Akiho's zoning out while on her library duty and got a fright when Chiori appeared in front of her to check out some books. At home, Akiho mentioned that Haruna looked relatively happier and asked if it's because of Chika? ...



Haruna felt so too, she continued that Chika's a person who will succeed if she puts her mind into something, which kind of surprised her a little bit. That positive character of hers when they they met for the first time, Chika had promised that she will enter the school to return the handkerchief back. When Akiho mentioned that she's happy that Haruna could smile like she used to, Haruna was reminded of a senpai of hers when she was younger saying the same words of smiling that cutely in school too instead of to her only.

[KYAAAAAAHHH Chibi Haruna's just toooooo cuteee~~!!!] Haruna was jolted out of her musings when Akiho questioned her silence, Haruna merely smiled and said it's nothing. One day, Chika proudly displayed her wonderful test results to Haruna and said it's thanks to Haruna's teachings. Haruna disagreed and said it's because Chika's hardworking and reaped these results.



Haruna added that it's the same thing when Chika promised that she will enter Tsunokamizaka Girls' Academy when they first met. Haruna smiled and said that it's a worthy characteristic for her to learn from. However, Chika doesn't think so, as in her mind she thought to herself that the reason she worked so hard was because the goal she had in mind had the presence of Haruna. Haruna noticed that Chika's English test results ain't too good and blamed herself as she wasn't too good in it and couldn't teach well.

Chika tried to cheer Haruna up by saying that however the Maths test results were so good that it's unthinkable that it's her scores lol and it's because of Haruna. Chika grimly added that she felt even more pressure to keep up the scores in future lol. Haruna then offered to continue teaching Chika in future too then. Chika made a damn cute puppy-like expression, 'Really?' ... which made Haruna blushed and smiled that she's too taken with Chika's ever changing facial expressions.



Chika felt very happy too because the warm Haruna she met during the first time was back. Meanwhile, Akiho's still pretty zoned out and made mistakes during her duty, even Chiori was concerned about her and kind of blamed Chika for Akiho's behaviour. Some time later, there were rumours of Chika cheating on her tests and was called upon by her teacher. The teacher told Chika that she's quite surprised by Chika's sudden good results and Chika's answers were pretty alike with the model answers.

The teacher then proposed that Chika go through another set of tests to prove her innocence. Chika felt bad and worried how she's going to tell Haruna that she's having re-tests again. As Chika entered her classroom, she noticed Chiori and a group of girls in her class glaring at her angrily. Chiori accused Chika of cheating, Chika tried to explain but Chiori was suspicious of Chika's hesitation. [I think it's the fact that Chika's afraid lol]



Meanwhile, Haruna's waiting for Chika at their usual studying place, Akiho popped by and noticed Haruna alone and asked where's Chika. Akiho felt weird because there's no duty for Chika and no reason for her to be late. Chika was quite fearful of the accusations from the girls and cried for Haruna in her thoughts. - END of Chapter 4 -

   ADVFilms September Sales Purchases

YAY! My parcel was finally within my reach last night!



Took advantage of the online sales over at ADVFilms website 2 weeks ago, I was eyeing these babies for quite a long time. I wanted to get 'Noir' and 'Madlax' but budget will not allow me to get it ... pretty sad. Oh well, I managed to get a pretty good deal anyways.



I was quite shocked to see a 'Happy Lesson' OVA DVD inside lol, I was like 'Hey, I didn't order this ... did I? ... No, really, I didn't, dammit! So why the hell is it here? Oh well, reckon it's a freebie *grins*' LOL.



As I mentioned in this post, the total cost for the four box sets in Singapore dollars was S$283 + shipping charges of $33 [I got a 13% discount coupon~~] = S$316. So it's like barely S$80 on average for each box set.

Taking into consideration that 'Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu' is a 13 episodes box set, let's take it as S$50, so S$30 will be averaged out to the other three 20+ episodes box sets to make it S$90 each. Besides, I got a free OVA which is usually worth like S$19.90 so ... it's like S$85 each la lol, which I personally think is quite reasonable.



Unexpected arrival lol. Seriously, I'm not sure if I'll even like this title, ... smells 'haremish', I would be pimping ADVFilms everywhere if they gave me a shoujo-ai title =).






I like the 1 CD in one Volume casing thingy, which means I can bring any Volume casing to out to watch without dragging the whole box set in my sling bag. I'm lazy to buy CD casings, usually I reserved them for my Stefanie Sun CDs, cos I don't wanna spoil my 'signed' albums LOL.



I do not think ODEX has any Volume casings in their 'old' releases [See Chrono Crusade Volume 1], only the recently box sets had [See Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Volume 1]. When I see See Chrono Crusade Volume 1, I feel like I had to tear the parts out to get the DVDs LOL.

I also don't like how ODEX like to pimp their company name on the cover of the DVD volume sets, it's like 'Okay, I get it already, what's your problem?', at least they ain't doing that for 'Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle'. But then, I'm not sure if they can make it in the Singapore market, their reputation is like, let me put it nicely, SHIT, lol. Really, good luck but I'm not waiting anymore, like many other anime fans, moving into greener pastures. Hopefully, be convinced back that the grass is greener at home.

Well, I seldom watch PVs cos it's like so weird, but I had fun watching Hirano Aya's 'LOVE¡ïGUN' PV, cos it's pretty fun and the melody was uplifting. I like her funny expressions and I find her very ... hm open about displaying her facial expressions [·ÅµÄ¿ª in Mandarin] and she doesn't seem afraid to make 'wide' expressions. Unlike some singers, they just open and close their mouths to the extend of eating bite-size cookies lol ...

Enjoy, a special for my birthday. Heh.

Recapturing from the previous chapter, Chika overcame with emotions, confessed to Haruna that she likes her. Just as Haruna was about to say something, Haruna's classmate, Shirakawa Miyu came looking for her. With that, Haruna left with Miyu leaving Chika bothered about what Haruna was about to say before Miyu interrupted them. Chika also wanted to know how Haruna left about her confession ... yet all she felt was the coldness of Haruna's retreating back.



The next day, it was obvious to Akiho that Chika's depressed over Haruna again lol. Just then, Chiori went over to give Akiho the class schedule personally, surprising Akiho at Chiori's tactfulness and making Chiori blushed. As Chiori was about to leave, Akiho spotted a mistake in the schedule and pointed out to Chiori. Chiori offered to take it to the teacher to correct the mistake before giving the edited version to Akiho. This again surprised Akiho and she gave a winning thankful smile at Chiori for the offer and made Chiori blushed again. [Ohhh ... someone's interested in Akiho haha]



Meanwhile, Chika was feeling terrible and torn over her believe for the warm Haruna she first met and she desperately aching to know what happened to Haruna. During break, Chika was seriously zoning out, barely touching her lunch, Akiho decided to cheer Chika out by inviting her out on a shopping date. The next day, Chika arrived late for their date but then Akiho merely brushed it off and they went all out on having fun that day.

While having a break, Chika thanked Akiho for readily being her first friend in Tsunojo [Short form for Tsunokamizaka Girls' Academy]. Akiho then cheekily replied Chika to tell her what happened caused Chika to feel depressed recently.



Chika replied 'I like you ...', causing shock to Akiho as she thought Chika was saying that line to her lol when Chika added that she said that line to Haruna. Akiho was surprised that Chika confessed to her Onee-sama and consoled Chika that Haruna probably felt confused and it's not like Haruna hates Chika or anything. Akiho accidentally splatted some of her offered parfait to on Chika's face then the tense atmosphere was gone.

However, Akiho had a serious expression on when Chika left for the washroom, her friend had confessed to her Older Sister ... In school, Chiori hollered at Chika for failing her mock exams and nagged at her for slacking in her studies even though she's borrowing Akiho's notes. Chika meekly stood there as Chiori reprimanded her until Akiho came to her rescue lol. Chika merely accepted the scolding and looked dejected.



Meanwhile, at Haruna's home, Haruna was staring at the handkerchief Chika returned to her. Just then, there was a knock on the door, Akiho called Haruna 'Onee-chan' [More informal than Onee-sama] and asked if she could help her with her maths homework. Haruna giggled at when Akiho called her Onee-chan again and asked Akiho why she changed to 'chan' at home. Akiho blurted that Haruna behaved differently at home and at school too ... Haruna realized that and agreed.

Akiho then told Haruna that Chika did badly for her mock exams that she had to retake them. Chika then suggested that Haruna teach Chika maths because Akiho's not really good in maths. Haruna wanted to refuse ... but with Akiho's begging and her flashbacks of the moments of her and Chika when they met for the first time lead Haruna to hesitate.



The next day after school, Akiho brought Chika to the library to study for her make-up exams. When Chika complained that she doesn't feel like studying, Akiho shot back that she doesn't have a choice and left Chika alone in the library to study as she had a committee meeting lol. Chika reluctantly went to the spot Akiho picked for her and nearly felt asleep when she noticed a shadow in front of her.



The shadow's owner was none other than Haruna's. Chika's surprised that the Haruna who had been avoiding her all these time would walk up to her and offered to help Chika in her studies. Seemed like Akiho managed to get Haruna to agree to help Chika as she looked from a corner of the library at the two girls glazing at each other faces. Chika thought she was dreaming, even though Akiho will get mad at her for dozing off, she wanted to carry on this dream even just for a second or two. - END of Chapter 3 -

Hmm, this chapter was interesting, we can see Chiori interested in Akiho, Akiho interested in well, I'm not sure if it's Chika or Haruna lol.

Random rants;

Thanks to all my friends who celebrated my 21st Birthday gathering last night, I really had a great time, hope you guys had a great time and ate your fill XD. I take pride in feeding people lol. Ah, thanks for the prezzies too! After all that, it's so amusing to think back, 'Yay party's over but um, I'm still not yet 21 lol.', hahaha.

Tidying up my messy desk and rearranging my book shelves in the study room cos my friends are hanging over my house tomorrow haha.



This is where all the 'magic' happens lol, say hello to lappy-chan and AAD-chan XD. The stack of manga on the right side are usually mangas I read half-way, haven't read or want to re-read again lol. The Basic Japanese booklet from Poly Year 2 is still with me at the bottom left heh, tattered but readable.



Yeah I'm a subscriber of M.A.G.E, unfortunately they stopped publishing after 21 issues. Anyways, I don't know why I have two issues of #20 lol, I think I lost issue #2.



My study room and the book shelves where all my bros' tution/school stuff, my manga, magazines and books live. Manz, I think I should at least get a prize for owning so many ChuangYi English mangas LOL.



Basically a corner where I store all Stefanie Sun's albums, dvds, vcds and others. Oh I turned the Garfield standee away cos fish's kiddy photo's in it LOL. The paper on the left side's chuz's 'O' Levels timetable.



Love my Strawberry Panic! collection~~~!!! Singles for the OPs/EDs, OST and the three Drama CDs~ XD.

Seriously, look at what ODEX gave us before they complain their sales are hurting, the packaging ... really looks like I bought some rip-off pirated VCDs or software programmes. Now, tell me with these kind of sub-standard products, do we have a choice? My [and many people's] patience is running thin, check out their website, they took down their forum cos they can't control the 'wonderful' contents -_-|||.

No matter, I'm starting to import from USA, I'll do another post next week on the on-sale ADVFilms box sets I purchased online around two weeks ago. They are 'Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu - Complete Collection', 'Azumanga Daioh - Class Album', 'Chrono Crusade - Complete Collection' and 'Full Metal Panic! - Complete Collection', really really worth it. The total cost for the four box sets in Singapore dollars was S$283 + shipping charges of $33 [I got a 13% discount coupon~~] = S$316. It's like barely S$80 on average for each box set!

If going by ODEX 'OLD' price tags, which was S$39.90 for a volume with 12-13 episodes and S$79.80 for two volumes with 24-26 episodes title. Oh well, at least ODEX's clearing their DVDs at S$20 each volume but I'm still not buying them cos ... they don't have DVDs for the titles I bought above, well except for 'Chrono Crusade' and I believe the subtitles sucked.

Anyways, enough of this crap, think happy thoughts for 21st Birthday gathering tomorrow and my soon-to-arrive parcel next week XD.

Recapturing from Chapter 1, as Chika was speaking, Haruna ignored her and walked past her, an action which shocked Chika speechless. Chika was all depressed about the incident, Akiho then asked Chika if she had returned the handkerchief to the senpai [senior].

Chika whined that the senpai kept avoiding her no matter how many times she went to see her and blamed herself probably for doing something the senpai disliked. Akiho consoled Chika by giving an explanation that probably the senpai had something on. After thinking, Chika remembered that Haruna's retreating back was awfully lonely and painful and wondered if something had happened to Haruna.



As Chika's musing about Haruna, the class representative, Teshigawara Chiori, reprimanded Akiho and Chika for not listening to the announcement to proceed to the library for lesson. Akiho's pissed that Chiori seemed all high and mighty about it while Chika's miserable about her thoughts of Haruna and told Chiori off for abusing her authority and left with Chika leaving Chiori embarrassed. While walking to the library, it seemed like Akiho knew Chiori since junior high.

Chika then mentioned that Chiori had volunteered to be class representative and told off her many times lol. Akiho teased Chika by adding that she only got scolded whenever she's with Chika lol. Just then, Chika noticed Haruna in front of them, as she's about to call her, Akiho called Haruna, 'Onee-sama' [A more respectful term of Elder Sister]. It's then Chika realized that Akiho and Haruna were sisters, Akiho then unknowingly introduced Chika to Haruna.



Haruna coolly introduced herself to Chika like they had never met before and left, leaving Akiho confused and Chika more crestfallen. Chika told Akiho that Haruna's the senpai who lent her the handkerchief. During lesson, Akiho wrote notes asking how could Chika not notice that she and Haruna had same surnames lol. Chika replied that she had alwayed called Haruna by the given name and forgotten the surname.

Akiho offered to return the handkerchief to Haruna, causing Chika to forget that they're in the library and spoke out loud that she'll return it herself. During lunch break, Chika went to Haruna's class to look for her, but she wasn't there. One of the Haruna's classmate, a senpai, Miyu-san mentioned that Haruna always go off somewhere during lunch break. Chika then remembered that the somewhere might be the secret place Haruna showed her in Chapter 1.



Haruna was indeed in the secret place, except she's now napping on the lawn. Chika was elated to see Haruna and blissful to be near her and see the peaceful expression again. Chika was glad to feel the sense of warmth of the Haruna she knew at first instead of the cold Haruna who was avoiding her recently. Just then, Haruna was about to awake and muttered something like Chika's name which Chika answered out loud lol.

Haruna instantly awoke and asked why Chika's here. Chika thought to herself that maybe she's imagining Haruna calling her name, then taking the chance to return the handkerchief to Haruna. Haruna unperturbedly asked Chika if she chose the school just to return the handkerchief. Chika replied no, much to Haruna's surprise, and added that she just wanted a chance to see Haruna again, so she came to the school to see Haruna.



Haruna seemed touched by Chika's forwardness, smiled and said that Chika reminded her of the aura the secret place had. Chika was delighted to see Haruna's smile again. For the next few days, Chika's in a happy, chirpy mood lol, and it's obvious to Akiho that she's going to meet Haruna after school. In Haruna's class, her classmates were gossiping about Haruna's sudden closeness to Chika and mentioned that Haruna's never close nor talk to them after that incident.

Haruna flinched when she heard that. It was then known that Haruna even stopped going to school till not long ago and seemed to have recovered. After that, Chika met up with Haruna at the hallway and was worried as Haruna looked pale. Haruna said that it's nothing and Chika was happy that Haruna willing to listen to her. Chika went on to relate what happened to her during class and about wanting to make sweets.



Halfway through the conversation, Chika noticed that Haruna had something on her mind and offered to lend a listening ear to Haruna's problems. Haruna got angry and said she doesn't understand why Chika would spent her time going to see her everyday and wondered if Chika wanted something from her. Haruna continued that if Chika's expecting something from her, don't bother wasting her time. Chika replied that she doesn't need anything from Haruna, just that she wanted to see her ...



For this simple reason, 'I like you, Haruna-san', Chika confessed. Haruna gasped. Chika thought to herself that even if Haruna's cold and hostile to her, she still believed in the warm Haruna she first met. - END of Chapter 2 -

O_O, a confession in just the second chapter ... ! Sweet! Oh yeah, seemed like we can pre-order Hatsu Koi Shimai aka First Love Sister Volume 1 from Seven Seas in amazon.com already! Offically out on December 2007, reckon I'll wait till December to order it cos I'm eyeing for 6 other books, Venus Versus Virus #2, Kashimashi #4, Tetragrammaton Labyrinth #2, Saigo no Seifuku #2, Strawberry Panic #1 and Voiceful #1. Probably somemore to even out the shipping charges haha, see first, or if I can't wait, I'll just make a trip to Kinokuniya =).

   Kyoushiro to Towa no Sora Volume 6 DVD Special

Well, surprisingly this last DVD special gave me a really melancholy feeling lol, probably it seemed like an epilogue of the characters in Kyoushiro to Towa no Sora.

Soujirou became the president of the student council or something, Tarurotte's still hanging around Soujirou, causing distractions and ... trouble =).

Kaon and Himiko were happily dating like any normal couple [I hope] and I love the heart necklaces. It's like soooooooo sweet that I'm grinning non-stop after watching the special. One thing, 25 seconds of Kaon x Himiko is waayyyy too short, oh well, better than nothing.

Kazuya looked contented with Waruteishia ... well that's fine. I kinda like Setsuna's new haircut, which reminded me a similar situation of Nina from Mai Otome. Anyways, Setsuna IS STILL MOE regardless of long or short hair haha.

Next update, Hatsu Koi Shimai Chapter 2!

Cover of the first volume of Hatsu Koi Shimai, Japanese version. The name of the main character with the pigtail hairstyle's Matsuzato Chika while the name of the black-haired girl's Kizaki Haruna.



'That time, I didn't know love yet ... until I met my precious, precious first love ...' ~ Matsuzato Chika.



Matsuzato Chika's a Third Year Middle School student who's taking her High School entrance exams that year. At her mother's recommendation, Chika went for the Open Day of the famous Tsunokamizaka Girls' Academy near her house. Chika's having troubles getting to the notice board and got pushed away by random squealing girls lol. As Chika fuming away, a student of the school, Kizaki Haruna approached her if she's okay and told her that each vistor was assigned a student to show them around.

By coincidence, Haruna's the student assigned to Chika and when Haruna took Chika's hand, her thoughts were about how warm Haruna's hand was. Haruna brought Chika to the school's courtyard, unable to contain her excitement, Chika was wow-ing basically over everything there and later got a little embarrassed by her behaviour.



Chika then asked if Haruna ate her lunch in the beautiful place they were in, in return Haruna made a sorrow/hesitant looking expression which threw Chika off course. Chika's knee had a bleeding scrape and Haruna made a forceful statement that they had to take care of the bleeding wound. As Haruna was washing the wound with a wet handkerchief, Chika thought to herself that Haruna's really close ... and noticed that she had long eye lashes ... and smells pretty nice.

After the wound was treated and well-rested, Haruna brought Chika to another secret place of hers, probably a garden. Chika began rattling how beautiful the place was giving her a sense of peace, freedom and gentleness then stopped herself when she realized she's being too 'genki' again and Haruna might think of her as a child.



To her surprise, Haruna merely smiled and happy that Chika liked her secret place. Chika thought to herself that the gentle feeling of the secret place reminded her of Haruna. It was nearing dusk which marked the end of the tour, Chika thanked Haruna and apologized for the troubles caused. As for the dirtied handkerchief ... Haruna told Chika that it's fine and added that Chika could take the entrance exams for Tsunokamizaka Girls' Academy to return the handkertchief to her. Flustered, Chika honestly told Haruna that she hadn't decided to take the entrance exams for the school and continued in her mind that even so she can't pass because the level for the school's pretty high ... but ...

Haruna then felt bad and told Chika to forget about the handkerchief. At that, Chika exclaimed that she's going to attend Tsunokamizaka Girls' Academy, pass the entrance exams and to return the handkerchief. Haruna's a little confused ... and thought Chika said that merely because she wanted to return the handkerchief? [LOL!] Chika shook her head and replied that it was all thanks to the kindness of Haruna that she had came to like the school after being brought around ... Chika paused again, realizing she's been rattling about Haruna lol. Haruna just smiled, thanked Chika and answered that she looked forward to Chika's arrival =).



From that day on, Chika went on an all-study rampage, lol to fulfill the promise she made to Haruna. Chika managed to get into Tsunokamizaka Girls' Academy in the end and she wanted to thank Haruna for giving her the courage to try her best. As Chika made her way to school, a girl asked her if she's a new student and managed to correctly guessed the path Chika took to school lol because of the cherry blossoms stuck to her hair. The girl, Kizaki Akiho's in the same class as Chika, the girls were chatting happily when suddenly Chika was bumped by a girl, Teshigawara Chiori of the same class as the both of them.

Chika continued her conversation with Akiho about returning the handkerchief lent to her by a senpai [senior] of the school during the Open Day. Akiho was surprised that Chika went through the trouble of entering the school just to return the handkerchief? ... Chika was pleased with herself and replied yeah! happily lol. Akiho gave her blessings to Chika's promise.



Later, Chika went to Second-Year classrooms in search for Haruna, just then, she bumped onto someone and that someone is none other than Haruna! Chika was very happy to see Haruna and enthusiastically told Haruna that she fulfilled the promise to get in the school ... but as Chika was speaking, Haruna ignored her and walked past her, an action which shocked Chika speechless. - END of Chapter 1 -

What happened to the kind, friendly, gentle Haruna at the start of the chapter? Did she forgot about Chika? What will Chika do from now on?

First serialized in Yuri Shimai 4 magazine, I was like ohhh angst between the main characters right from the start ... best yet, a secret garden! LoL what's up with shoujo-ai and secret gardens and ... and strawberries!? Besides them all starting with the letter 'S' -.-|||.

The main characters were likeable, at first sight Haruna might come off with her long black hair, the Onee-sama feel as if she's the TDB [aka Tall, Dark, Bishoujo] kind but she's really not, I reckon that's what makes this such an interesting read because the main characters gave each other strength in this 'equally' way, there's no dominant person in the relationship =).

Random rants;

Last night I was surfing around the internet for sites to purchase Doropanda Tours doujinshi online, I found many Japanese sites selling, taking orders and auctioning the doujinshis ... problem is not about the shipping costs [I can always use vPOSTJapan], !! but rather the payment methods! LoL. It seemed like they don't like to ship internationally [which is actually okay to me because vPOSTJapan had a station in Tokyo] however the problem laid in the payment of the doujinshi itself.

With my very very limited knowledge of Japanese [Making up words here and there in Kanji], I more or less assumed that the payment methods were cash on delivery or local bank deposit transfers or collecting from the stores so ... even with my credit card, I was useless online lol. As for Japan Auction, well I don't know the steps to it O_o, I was merely clicking blindly and some of the sellers don't accept credit card payments too. Well it's tough purchasing doujinshis online if you're not in Japan. Sigh, operation fail. Guess I have to make do with earning money to make a trip to Japan for some massive shopping in the future ... *sob*.
