Hatsu Koi Shimai 1. Hatsu Koi Shimai 2.

Recapturing from the previous Chapter, Chika had asked to take a look at the sisters' baby albums but Haruna had refused, giving an excuse that she had misplaced the albums and would show her next time. Later that night, Haruna told Akiho about what happened and Akiho hurriedly asked if Haruna showed Chika. Haruna replied no and Akiho sighed in relief, commenting that it's rare that Haruna could actually tell a lie lol. Akiho suggested that they rearranged the photos so that Chika wouldn't be able to see hers, Haruna found it unsettling, saying Akiho's a cute sister and the way Akiho's acting is as if ...

Akiho burst out crying Haruna not to continue her words ... as she doesn't want to hear it. Looking at Akiho's rather panicky face, Haruna apologized and hugged her. The next day, Haruna bought her baby photo albums for Chika and Haruna was quite relieved that Chika looked happy regardless of what happened yesterday. Haruna then asked to look at Chika's baby photos in return and everything went well after that. Elsewhere, Akiho was thinking of Haruna, whether if could 'handle' the situation lol.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 3. Hatsu Koi Shimai 4.

As Akiho was walking, she noticed the fangirls fawning over Touko-sensei in front of her and immediately had this irritated expression on her face lol. Touko-sensei noticed Akiho and winked at her but Akiho just hmph-ed and walked off ignoring Touko. Touko just smiled and later was called to the office on emergency reasons. Meanwhile, Chiori was alone outside, staring at a book which Akiho had borrowed earlier [The borrowing card] when suddenly the new character from Chapter 10 yelled hello to her.

Chiori remembered the girl as that person who entered the school boundaries without permission and threatened to call the teacher. The girl merely smiled, saying that she's happy that Chiori remembered her and had came to see her. Chiori started to see the resemblance in the girl to Chika, 'Natural Born Idiot' lol. The girl, saw the name on the borrowing card and pronounced Chiori's name as 'Chocolate Cheese' or something, earning an outrage from Chiori who corrected her. The girl began to tease Chiori whose name probably always got mispronounced by people.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 5. Hatsu Koi Shimai 6.

Chiori was speechless since she felt she had nothing in common to talk to the girl. However, the girl said that she's happy because despite all, Chiori-chan~ still replied to her every questions. Chiori was like 'Chiori-chan!?' and gave up, walking away to tell the teacher. The girl yelled her name's Sagara Rie and left, leaving Chiori with last thoughts of the girl as weird. Meanwhile, Touko-sensei was informed by the other teachers that the teacher she was relieving had given birth and would probably return soon. This means ... Touko-sensei would have to leave the school!?

Even though it's the last day of school before the summer vacation starts, Haruna noticed that Chika doesn't seem happy. Haruna told Chika if Chika was really looking forward, everything would be revealed on her face lol. Chika replied that it's just that she felt all weird because ever since entering the school, she could always see Haruna everyday but now with the vacation ... she assumed that she wouldn't be able to see Haruna anymore. Chika added that it's like she felt so lonely and out of place ... Haruna can't help but move nearer to Chika telling how honest she is as Chika had said what Haruna had felt deep inside so easily.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 7. Hatsu Koi Shimai 8.

Haruna gently caressed and nuzzled Chika's cheek, whispering that that [honest] side of Chika is so cute [Awww~]. Haruna suggested several outtings they could do together in school, so that way they could see each other again! Even though Chika's happy with the suggestions, why are they all related to school, she complained lol. Haruna chuckled and continued that they should go outside to have fun too which Chika totally agreed lol XD.

Meanwhile, Akiho's at the library remising at the book she borrowed before as Touko-sensei walked in. When Touko told Akiho that she's here to see her, Akiho shrugged those words away as flattery. Touko insisted that it's true, moving closer to Akiho, Touko added that in front of Akiho she always revealed her true self, as she want Akiho to know more about her that noone else knows ...

Hatsu Koi Shimai 9. Hatsu Koi Shimai 10.

Akiho just kept quiet, Touko smiled and changed the subject asking what she could do for Akiho like nothing had happened lol. As Touko-sensei helped Akiho arranged the books, Akiho was wondering that Touko-sensei doesn't seem to be herself .... The girls then found a corner of the library filled with kids picture books, Akiho pointed out that Haruna used to read one of the picture books to her when she was younger. Touko then noticed Akiho had called Haruna, 'Onee-chan' instead of the more formal 'Onee-sama' in her statement. Akiho was surprised that Touko's quite observant, which Touko replied that it's because it's related to Akiho.

Akiho found out Touko seemed to be always covering up for other people, to which Touko just shrugged in response. Akiho then confessed to Touko that, the reason she and Haruna doesn't look alike was that they aren't real sisters. Akiho added that her parents divorced when she was young and following her mum, she met Haruna for the first time. Akiho had always despised the curly hair she inherited from her mum but Haruna had praised her hair and said she was cute. So from then, Haruna became her 'Onee-chan', the smart and kind sister she admired.

That's not all, Akiho continued that Haruna was sensitive to step-mother's [Akiho's mum I presume?] impression of her so she tried her best to the perfect student and even though Haruna's suffering, she will hide and cry in her room secretly. That's why Akiho wanted Haruna to gain happiness, as long as Haruna's smiling, she'll be satisfied. Touko asked if Akiho still likes Haruna ... ?

Hatsu Koi Shimai 11. Hatsu Koi Shimai 12.

Akiho smiled and replied that she still liked Haruna but ... it's slowly turning into another type of like. Touko questioned to tell what had made Akiho changed her mind if she don't mind sharing it with a unreliable person like her lol. Akiho blushed hard and said that in her heart, Touko-sensei's 'status' had changed too, so ... Touko reached up and caressed Akiho's cheek. Akiho was surprised at the action unlike Touko merely smiled and teasing asked why Akiho's not rejecting her unlike before and that she would be brazen if Akiho didn't stop her, she wouldn't be able to stop ...

With that, Touko leaned towards Akiho, whispering her name. Despite Akiho's rather feeble protests at first, Akiho cried no later and pushed Touko away. With Touko expressionless, Akiho muttered that Touko's really cruel and left tears in her eyes.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 13. Hatsu Koi Shimai 14.

On the other hand, Kirika's practicing archery but noticed Miyu hiding in the corner lol, Miyu thought she could secretly see Kirika practice. When Kirika asked if Miyu's theater club had ended, she smiled and nodded. However, Kirika knew from Miyu's expression that she's lying and Miyu confessed that she brought snacks for Kirika and told her to take a break.

Kirika bluntly asked what happened and told Miyu to go back since she sneaked out halfway during club time. Miyu just kept quiet. Kirika gently urged to tell her what happened, but Miyu just replied nothing and left hurriedly. To Kirika's horror, Miyu slipped and fell, but was cushioned by Kirika in a nick of time. However, it seemed like Kirika was hurt! ... - END of Chapter 11 -

Guess the truth's out, Akiho and Haruna are not real sisters and it seemed like Akiho's 'love' for Haruna's slowly turning more 'sisterly' XD lol. In the meantime, Akiho's feelings for Touko seemed to run deeper, will they be together?

As for Chiori, even though she likes Akiho but the love's unrequited, will she like the genki new character, Rie instead? My second favourite couple, Kirika and Miyu! What is Miyu hiding from Kirika? Look forward to Chapter 12 ... um soon I reckon?

Hatsu Koi Shimai 1. Hatsu Koi Shimai 2.

It's the end of the summer semester exams and Akiho asked Chika what plans she's got for the holidays. Chika just grinned to herself before she could reply, it's time for classes and they rushed off. Chika felt very excited that she could plan on how to spend the first semester holidays in Tsunokamizaka Girls' Academy with Haruna. Touko-sensei who was standing beside Chika surprised her by saying it's time to enter the classroom and went on to tease Chika by cooking up some weird notions of offering one-to-one remedial lessons after school lol. Touko's fangirls in class heard that and demanded remedial lessons too lol. Touko appeased the crowd by changing the subject to announce their semester results.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 3. Hatsu Koi Shimai 4.

During break, Chika met up with Haruna at their secret garden for lunch, even though it's already summer, the girls were feeling rather cooling under the shade of the trees. While eating, Haruna asked how was Chika's semester results lol, Chika nervously replied that there's no problem and added secretly she had a borderline pass lol. Glad with the reply, Haruna told Chika that she wanted to spend the summer holidays with Chika and she even remembered Chika's birthday [August 11th].

Chika then took out some cheese tarts she made for Haruna as she remembered Haruna seemed to like cheese. Haruna was impressed, not only was Chika good at handicraft but also in culinary too. Chika told Haruna to have more and suddenly she made a pun on how easily Haruna was 'satisfied' with 'tart' lol ['チ-ズタルト' = Cheese Tart, the word 'タルト' Tart/Taruto had the same pronunciation as Satified '‘ォると']. Looking at Haruna's blank expression, Chika thought she had made a fool out of herself again lol. To her surprise, Haruna started giggling, called Chika cute and went on to make a drama expression on the admiration she had for Chika lol.

Haruna revealed that she love to watch Japanese Comedy Variety shows and went on to list the names of the shows which Chika had totally no idea about. Chika's really happy that she found out another new thing Haruna likes and wanted to know more and more about Haruna. Placing her hand over Chika's, Haruna confessed that she wanted to reveal her real self to Chika too, even though she might be clumsy in her expressions but she always wanted to be near and the most close to Chika.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 5. Hatsu Koi Shimai 6.

As Haruna was confessing her feelings to Chika, little did they knew that Akiho was watching them from afar with a rather blank look on her face and turned away. Chika was touched by Haruna's words as she never had thought of having this scene with Haruna. Haruna went on to kiss Chika, whispering that she likes her ... more than anyone else and Chika answered that she too. Chika felt like even though she closed her eyes, she's embraced by a ray of light, so bright and warm.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 7. Hatsu Koi Shimai 8.

As Akiho was walking back, she met Touko who asked if she's feeling fine. Akiho smiled and said she's fine as her heart has been released and probably it's because of Touko-sensei who had listened to her feelings back in Chapter 9. Touko smiled and replied that she's very happy as she's been waiting for Akiho to say these kind of words to her ... and asked whether if Akiho felt a little love for her yet? lol. Akiho was pretty much shocked speechless. Chiori interrupted the friendly chat by reminding Touko-sensei that a teacher was calling for her.

When Touko-sensei left, Chiori pointed out that Akiho seemed rather chummy with Touko-sensei. Akiho blushed and protested rather half-heartedly. Chiori murmured, then it's good ... lol. Chiori then noticed a girl [New character!] who was wearing another school's uniform hanging around the area. Chiori called out to the girl and told her that outsiders are not allowed within school compounds and there's no special events ... The girl merely smiled, patted Chiori's shoulders, said sorry and left with an excuse losing her way as she found the school area beautiful. Chiori was left feeling puzzled at the girl's actions.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 9. Hatsu Koi Shimai 10.

Meanwhile, Kirika and Miyu were on the rooftop enjoying the breeze as Miyu's practicing the scripts for her club. Miyu told Kirika that she felt rather embarrassing that she seemed to be taking on a role of a Princess this time. Kirika shyly replied that the role of the Princess's suitable for Miyu, causing Miyu to blush. Miyu added that of all people, Kirika should know that she's rather tomboyish when they were young and once she got into a fight with a bully who bullied Kirika. Kirika protested, saying that but she's now ... now ... Miyu interrupted and asked how's Kirika's doing in her Archery club instead.

Kirika replied that probably having a high school competition on mid July. Miyu was totally impressed and told Kirika to try their best together for the practices during their summer holidays. It's almost end of break, before going, Miyu carefully untangled Kirika's hair which was tousled by the breeze. Chuckling, Miyu harmlessly mentioned that Kirika never really did change much. As Miyu left, Kirika uttered to herself that she's not good at all ... because she never really did change ...

Meanwhile, Chika and Haruna were acting all lovey-dovey as they noticed each other still wearing the precious rings they made for each other. As the girls chatted about the handicrafts Chika made, Haruna mentioned that it would be nice if she could visit Chika's house. No doubt, Chika happily agreed.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 11. Hatsu Koi Shimai 12.

That night, Haruna asked Akiho to help with the computer, to her surprise, Akiho found out that Haruna didn't even switch on the power of the computer lol. When Haruna explained to Akiho that she wanted to find dessert recipes as Chika's visiting their house that weekend and she wanted to make some for her. Akiho told Haruna not to force herself to do something she's not really good at. That weekend, Chika was astonished when she found out that Akiho and Haruna's house was that huge lol.

When Haruna greeted her at the door, Chika bowed formally, thanked Haruna for inviting her and even presented her a gift of appreciation lol. Haruna smiled, asked Chika in and served her a glass of cocktail, a mixture of passion fruit and grapefruit. Haruna added that the fruits mentioned above seemed to suit Chika pretty well ... As Haruna went to get a knife to slice the Blueberry cake Chika brought, Chika was musing how happy she was that Haruna had prepared the cocktail especially for her.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 13. Hatsu Koi Shimai 14.

Chika noticed a photo of the young Akiho and Haruna on the side and gushed how CUTE both of them were lol. Chika then told Haruna who just entered the room that she really admired how close the sisters are as she's an only child. Chika then asked to see the sisters' baby photo albums, but was refused by Haruna who quickly gave an excuse that she couldn't find the photo albums at the moment.

The girls then went to slice the cake, Chika couldn't help but feel that the atmosphere was a little weird just now and wondered if she's oversensitive or what. As both of them had cake, they're so consumed in their thoughts that the cake had no taste. - END of Chapter 10 -

Haruna's hiding something from Chika, ... does it have anything to do with Akiho? Chapter 11 will come probably later this weekend or next week.

Random rants;

New Year Eve Dinner Feast!

Resolution for the new year is to lose 10kg!!! LOL.

Oh yeah, went to watch 'I am Legend' and 'The Golden Compass' this afternoon at Golden Village ... both movies were ... well okay la. 'I am Legend' kinda feels like 'Resident Evil: Extinction' with the worldwide apocalypse thingy, man-eating zombies/doggies but the former focuses more on the humane and psychological feelings of man. The need for contact and I remembered my dad said that 'Humans are born social beings' when I said I can live alone lol.

   [Manga] Hatsu Koi Shimai Chapter 9
[Posted @ 7:49 PM]
This is a pretty long chapter and I've added two more pages to this Chapter's summary, so ... enjoy ... the KISS! [And it's not the forehead kind]

Hatsu Koi Shimai 1 and 2.

Recapturing from the previous chapter, Chika's feeling very tired that morning because Chiori had 'forced' her down to thread the beads into bracelets, wrist bands, necklaces, rings etc for sale for the cultural ceremony the next day. As for Akiho, she's been ignoring Touko-sensei after the unpleasant outburst in the previous chapter.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 3. Hatsu Koi Shimai 4.

It's finally the day of the Cultural Ceremony event, Chika's still busy/whining making the beads products because the ones she made before the day were bought over by her classmates lol. Miyu suggested to Chiori that they help Chika out too, instead of just leaving everything to her. Miyu then whispered to Chika about Haruna's whereabouts, urging her to invite her to a date. When Chika reached for her pocket to touch the ring Haruna made, she realized it's not there!

Chika gave a lame excuse of going to the bathroom and rushed off to find the ring, leaving Chiori very pissed off. The skies started to turn grey and it began to rain pretty soon as Chika's still searching for the ring. Haruna felt a twist in her gut and a moment later, Akiho came rushing to inform her that she saw Chika looked rather pale a while ago and wondered what had happened.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 5. Hatsu Koi Shimai 6.

In the pouring rain, Chika's still searching for the ring, blaming herself for losing it and doubted her ability to save Haruna's heart. Haruna managed to find Chika and told her that she'll catch a cold in the rain and suggested that they return. Chika answered that she couldn't. Haruna closed the umbrella she holding, much to Chika's protest and replied that if Chika's not returning, she wouldn't too.

Haruna added that she felt safety from Chika's smiles yet she hurt her so much ... 'I'm such a cruel person.', Haruna ended. Chika began bawling that Haruna's not a cruel person at all and that she's the terrible one cos she lost the ring Haruna gave to her. Losing the ring is like losing Haruna's heart, Chika continued and she felt that she had let Haruna down and this rain could not even atone her carelessness.

Haruna told Chika just to make another one, but Chika protested that it's not it ... it's the first time she had this kind of feeling, for the sake of saving Haruna, she would do anything. In Chika's heart, Haruna is more important than anything else in the world! After the declaration from Chika, Touko makes her appearance, congratulating them on a 'binding' statement and being the 'villain' was worth it. Chika's so pissed that she lashed out at Touko-sensei for making a fool of her. Smiling, Touko replied that she's always been serious and added that she likes Chika and also likes Haruna too.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 7. Hatsu Koi Shimai 8.

Touko then proposed that they take refuge in the shelter. While walking, Touko lol touched Haruna's hand and smiled at her, much to Chika's dismay and jealousy. After finding a shelter, Touko left, with Chika damn pissed and sure that Touko-sensei's making a fool of her again lol. Haruna told Chika to stretch her hand out and placed the ring on Chika's ring finger. [Seemed like Touko only wanted to give the ring to Haruna when they touched earlier on.] Chika's embarrassed when she realized the ring was placed on her ring finger!

Haruna decided to tell her past about the senpai [Senior] she admired to Chika and admitted that she had dated the senpai ... [!?] no ... Haruna added, maybe it's her own wishful thinking. As long as she's with her senpai, it doesn't matter if she's given the cold shoulders by her friends. However, ... the senpai had abandoned her in front of everyone and reflecting back, Haruna wondered if the senpai was protecting her in some way. From then day, Haruna always felt ill and didn't attend school, the fear of facing the senpai so she's always running away.

As for now, Haruna wondered why was she still avoiding yet she's not pursuing the issue ... it's then that Haruna understood it's all because of Chika. Haruna thanked Chika for the time when they were having cake in the cafe [See Chapter 5], whereby Chika had passionately declared that she would continue to chase Haruna.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 9. Hatsu Koi Shimai 10.

Meanwhile, Akiho finally caught on to Touko-sensei's real motive in coming between Chika and Haruna's relationship. Nevertheless, Akiho's still pissed at Touko-sensei's reckless kinda of interference as it could cripple the relationship. Touko replied that if so, just break up and added that such superficial love will not last long. Touko revealed that she had someone she likes too but her feelings were not conveyed and as such, there's no development. Touko don't want such situation to repeat itself again ... like real, Touko grinned, probablt trying to ease the tension.

Akiho confessed while crying that her feelings were not conveyed ... Chika could give Haruna happiness, vice versa and she's alright with it, even though it's been like that, she's alright with it. Touko embraced Akiho and was happy that Akiho had shown her true feelings at last. Touko started to comfort Akiho that she had tried her best and praised her for being strong and mature. Overwhelmed by the whirling emotions inside of her, Akiho cried her heart out at the expense of Touko. Touko made light of the situation by stating that it seemed like she had been always making Akiho cry.

A while later, Akiho began to calm down and was embarrassed that she had been crying on Touko's shoulders. Touko smiled and said that it's okay because they're really close anyways lol. Everything between them seemed okay after this and the rain stopped so they returned back.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 11. Hatsu Koi Shimai 12.

Else where, Chika and Haruna were enjoying the light breeze in their secret garden after the rain. Chika then asked if Haruna brought the ring she made for her as she wanted to slip the ring on Haruna's finger. [KYAAAAHH~, it's like they're exchanging wedding vows or something lol]

Hatsu Koi Shimai 13. Hatsu Koi Shimai 14.

With tears in their eyes and both their hands clasp together in a tight fit, Haruna confessed that she's not afraid anymore ... as long as she's with Chika ... 'Me too,' replied Chika. Haruna with love shining in her eyes, leaned over to Chika and ...

Hatsu Koi Shimai 15. Hatsu Koi Shimai 16.

... whispered to Chika that she likes her before kissing her and in her heart, she's thanking Chika for giving such warmth, fuzzy feelings of love with her. Chika described the kiss as gentle, warm and with a little taste salty rain drops [lol]. Towards the end, Chika swore that she would always stay by Haruna's side and would always love her. - END of Chapter 9 -

A fantastic end to Volume 2 and Chapter 9, AT LONG LAST, they kissed LOL. I'm kinda surprised that Haruna took the initiative to lean down and kiss Chika ... not to mention the kisses in later Chapters heh. Seriously, the intense sweetness flowing from the two of them were ... lol totally made me feel like I had toothache.

A couple was formed, we got three more to go ... any guesses?

When there's a certain amount of people who got it right, I would post a link where all will get to enjoy scans of additional sketches, profiles of the Characters from the tankoubons [Volume 1 & 2].

So, get guessing!

Random rants;
Actually, I had the summary typed out on the day I posted Chapter 8 lol, I was totally on a roll and kept typing and typing which was fun cos I haven't had this kind of feeling for a long long time. I'm rather sick of my 4-posts-per-month mannerism these few months, well, I guess it's because I was worried about my personal stuff and it still ain't solved as yet. Hopefully, I get the good news on January 2008 ... then I'll probably be on some kind of hiatus where I'll go work my butt out for Chinese New Year and prepare my stuff for studies after the CNY lol.

I have to start acting like an adult ... and with any luck, I get settled in UQ quickly and I'll start blogging again! I'm really worried who will purchase the mangas for me when I'm not in Singapore, chuz was like, 'I'm not doing that, I'm not going to buy those 'girly girly' books for you, I mean how will others see me!?', he exclaimed, to my disappointment. What an unreliable brother.

WHAT HABE I DONE TO SUFFER FROM THIS!?

Hatsu Koi Shimai 1. Hatsu Koi Shimai 2.

Recapturing from the previous chapter, everyobe were stunned by Haruna's uncharacteristic display. Haruna apologized, worked up an excuse of surprise for her behaviour and left. When Akiho asked if Chika's alright, Chika turned with a smile on her face and replied that she's fine.

Chika understood that Haruna must fighting a battle on her own as she's the kind of who will keep her troubles to herself. Chika added that even though she had not known Haruna that long, but she briefly knew how Haruna felt till then she will wait and smile for Haruna.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 3. Hatsu Koi Shimai 4.

Touched, Akiho told Chika not to let loose of Haruna's hand and if it's Chika, she would be able to help Haruna. Chika smiled and agreed, Akiho continued that if it's her ... she doubt so ... as Chika was about to say something, Touko-sensei appeared and reminded them that they were late for classes. As the girls rushed to attend their lessons, Touko wondered if Akiho's really alright with things.

During homeroom, it was decided the paired junior/senior classes 2-3 and 3-3 were putting up a cafe cum sundry store for their cultural ceremony event. The girls were then assigned to their respective tasks, Chika took the initiative to thread beads with Haruna.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 5. Hatsu Koi Shimai 6.

Both girls then started to thread the beads into bracelets, wrist bands, necklaces, rings etc. Haruna's having a hard time with hers and dropped her beads while she's stringing them to the threads lol. Chika couldn't help but giggled at Haruna's cute reactions and Haruna was pouting yet fine with it. Chika's really amused that Haruna's surprisingly clumsy in handiwork while Haruna's impressed that Chika's really good at it.

Chika then taught Haruna how to make rings instead, as it's easier. Akiho looked a sadly at the pair and this was noticed by Touko-sensei. Haruna's finally done with her first creation, a rather plain ring, she added. Chika's proud of herself when Haruna smiled happily as it's the first time she did something like that. Chika exchanged the ring she made with Haruna and told her that she will wait for the moment when Haruna felt right to tell her what happened and till then, the ring will be their promise.

As Haruna was about to say something, Chiori interrupted them by hollering at Chika for slacking off lol. Chika showed her creations to Chiori much to her surprise, apologized for the outburst. With all commotion, Haruna quietly slipped out of the classroom with the ring Chika made for her in her grasp. Touko-sensei noticed Haruna's leave and followed her, stating that Haruna's cruel.

Touko went on to ask what's Chika to Haruna, while Chika was trying her best for Haruna however all Haruna's doing was to gaze at other stuff ... Haruna was momentarily stunned by the truth in Touko's words. Just then, Akiho arrived and warned Touko-sensei not to say anything strange to Haruna. Touko smiled and agreed, as long as Akiho wished so.

Haruna didn't say much about what happened and they returned back to the classroom. Later at home, Akiho knocked on the door of Haruna's room as it was time for dinner. When Akiho opened the door and saw Haruna crying against her bed and rushed to ask what had happened. Haruna smiled, wiping her tears away and said it was nothing. Akiho was a little hurt, she was hoping Haruna would tell her anything. Haruna told Akiho to have her dinner first, Akiho left the room with a smile on her face then broke down as she was disappointed in herself that why couldn't she be the one ...

The next day, Kirika was running away from Miyu and hid behind Chika whom she had knocked onto earlier on. Kirika protested against wearing the fluffy maid-like uniform for the cafe lol. Chika then noticed that Haruna wasn't in the classroom and wanted to go find her but was held back by Chiori who ordered her to display her true talents by threading beads for sale lol.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 11. Hatsu Koi Shimai 12.

As she was working, Chika couldn't help but take out the ring Haruna made to admire and giggled to herself that with that in mind, she would try her best. Meanwhile, Akiho confronted Touko-sensei's motives in the relationship between Chika and Haruna. Touko-sensei wondered what. Akiho told Touko that because of her, the two of them were deeply hurt. 'Shouldn't it be three?', Touko added. Akiho played along with Touko's statement and answered that her people important to her were been hurt, it would kind of consider her as the victim too.

Grinning, Touko shifted her face near to Akiho and replied that among the three, Akiho's the one who's hurting the most. Akiho was pissed at that statement and lashed out at Touko. Touko laughed at Akiho's dramatic expressions and comment on the differences between the sisters. Leaning nearer to Akiho, caressing one of her ponytails, Touko repeated her statement that Akiho's really different from Haruna.

Hatsu Koi Shimai 13. Hatsu Koi Shimai 14.

Touko's smirking expression was wiped off when she noticed that Akiho's crying. Touko hurriedly released her grasp and tried to apologize, saying she has no meaning to what she said. Akiho merely told Touko not to harass her again and left. Just then, Chika's miserable that she didn't managed to see Haruna that day but when she was reminded of the ring [Haruna made] in her pocket, she was up and raging to go visit Haruna lol.

However, an arm stopped stopped her, it was Chiori, who dragged Chika back to class to continue making the bead threads for their performance. As the girls left, Touko was seen picking up the ring Haruna made that Chika had dropped earlier on. - END of Chapter 8 -

LoL, you guys must be thinking what a jerk Touko is by making Akiho cry isn't it? Well, I was at first, but this is necessary for later development XD. Chapter 9 would be a total blast, count on it!

   December 2007 Purchases - Amazon.com
[Posted @ 1:34 PM]
YEAH! My parcel came in YESTERDAY AFTERNOON! My maid smsed me about it, I was really excited lol and can't wait to get home.

Amazon.com December 2007 Purchases.

Scroll down for more pictures of my purchases, Bakuretsu Tenshi [Burst Angel] DVD Box Set by FUNimation and Loveless DVD Box Set by Media Blasters.

I wanted to post the images last night but my spirits were dampen by the dorm stuff again. Oh well.

Amazon.com December 2007 Parcel.

Okay, I seriously dunno where to start ... this is just too awesome lol. Oh yeah, I'm not going to talk about Medal of Honor - Airborne, cos it's not mine and not of my interest either.

Bakuretsu Tenshi DVD Box Set 1.

Spectacular glossy box cover, in good condition XD. LoL, I still can't believe it's half priced, someone please pinch me!

Bakuretsu Tenshi DVD Box Set 2.

Look at the abundant contents on the back of the box cover!!!
- 24 Episodes on 6 discs
- 6 Guide Books
- Director Commentaries
- Original Radio Dramas
- Textless Songs OP/ED
- Outtakes <- -.-
- Widescreen 16:9

All these for ... like S$69. By the way, what do ODEX give? Even at the price of S$29.90 per volume, let's see two volumes, S$29.90x2=S$59.80, which is worth it?

Bakuretsu Tenshi DVD Box Set 3.

Feast your eyes on these guidebooks, the printing alone probably cost like S$10.

Loveless DVD Box Set 1.

Next, Loveless DVD Box Set, it looks rather plain, the box cover's thin and easily ... well bendable cos it's CARDBOARD lol. Kinda disappointed cos Loveless has the one of the BEST art style I've ever since and I don't want a cardboard to be the box cover, sigh.

Loveless DVD Box Set 2.

Anyways, There's no extra booklets or something in the disc cover, just some advertorials stuff. There's textless OP/ED though and they even included the SD [Super-deform] theater in! LoL.

Loveless DVD Box Set 3.

Needless to say, the video quality's gorgeous, Soubi looks so hot lol.

Random rants;
I managed to catch an episode of D-Grayman on Arts Central last night and the flashing advertisements around about ODEX really getting the 'same' [only one week delay!] airing time as Japan for D-Grayman Season 2, was truly admirable. We can't deny that. Maybe they should venture in getting licenses to broadcast animes on TV instead of releasing DVDs, eating too much cake might cause a major stomachache. Well, not like I really care cos they're unlikely to license the titles I like lol and I'm going to study soon. With their website still down, we have like totally no idea what will happen or even know what to expect next.

Arts Central's airing Bakuretsu Tenshi and Azumanga Daioh on TV next week, too bad, I've already BOUGHT the D-'VIV'-Ds lol. I don't think I'll be catching the two titles on TV and also D-Grayman, not interested, lost me in there!

I'm serious when I'm saying I'm moving to happy grounds like manga and purchasing DVDs online, it's so fun lol, no stress, no expectations, just like the good old days. Too much information kills a person sometimes and it gets worse if you know you either can't get it or go illegal. Anyways, off to read fanfics.

   YanZi's SK Jewellery Dazzling Christmas 2007 Advertisement
[Posted @ 8:14 PM]
Red really suits YanZi very well, makes her look sophisticated and feminine.

YanZi SK Jewellery Dazzling Christmas Advertisement.

For more advertorials and brochures of YanZi in action, check out the SK Jewellery website. Scroll down for more random rantings of my feelings of selected 'ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 LIVE' clips, courtesy from yamibo.

I was busying watching the clips of 'ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 LIVE' and was totally amazed by Suara's performance of '夢想歌' and 'キミガタメ'. Manz, I might be tempted to purchase it from YesAsia since the price is cheaper than Play-asia's. O_o but I think that will be quite a while later, I've spent way too much this December ... lol.

Here's some selected reviews [Sorry for the lousy screenshot quality];

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 1.

[Chihara Minori aka Minorin] 茅原実里 - 純白サンクチュアリィ/君がくれたあの日;
Minorin's really high, at the same time she makes rather wide actions yet she keeps that refined girl image. Her normal voice's really squeaky though lol but when she sings, it's sooooo different. Love the live violin band behind.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 2.

[Jyukai] 樹海 - あなたがいた森/咲かせてはいけない花;
Jyukai's a duo rock band, the vocal singer's Manami [On the pic], I like the parts when she reached the chorus and went really high on the notes.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 3.

[Kuribayashi Minami & Momoi Haruko] 栗林みな実 & 桃井はるこ - うしろゆびさされ組;
LoL, this is a really cute song and it seemed like both Minami and Haruko were enjoying themselves in the fluffy seifuku [sailor uniform] cosplay lol. Haruko's voice was rather whiny especially when she wanted to stretch the last verse, not sure if it's a trademark of hers but ... well it's kind of annoying if she did it a number of times in the song.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 4.

Suara - 夢想歌/キミガタメ;
I'm a fan of hers after watching the clip of her part, her voice's like soooo pure and strong, full of power and emotion. Her voice's kinda the same wavelength as YanZi's, very pleasant to listen to and easy to blend in with their voices. Highly recommended, try watching her part on youtube.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 5.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 6.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 7.

[Takarano Arika & Mizuki Nana] 宝野アリカ & 水樹奈々 - 聖少女領域;
ALI PROJECT's vocal lead, Takarano Arika teamed up with Mizuki Nana in their rendition of Rozen Maiden tr舫mend OP, 'Seishoujo Ryouiki'. Love their dark and mysterious gothic dresses. White vs Black, great theme.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 8.

ALI PROJECT - 勇侠青春謳/暗黒天国/跪いて足をお嘗め;
ALI PROJECT had their own solo performance, they sung three songs, the ED of Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion, OP of Kamichama Karin and ED of Kaibutsu Oujo. It's weird to see the 'traps' prancing around as she sung cos I was expecting of a more mahou shoujo theme lol.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 9.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 10.

[Mizuki Nana] 水樹奈々 - SECRET AMBITION/Justice to Believe/Heart-shaped Chant;
Similarly, Mizuki Nana had her own performance, alot of Mizuki Nana goodness so if you're a Nana-chan fanboy/girl, get this DVD XD, she's really high in the concert lol.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 11.

[Hirano Aya] 平野綾 - 冒険でしょでしょ;
I'm rather disappointed with Hirano Aya's rendition of the 'punked & upbeat' performance of Bouken Desho Deshou?, it was well, plainly put, shrilly and unnatural, a far cry from the PVs I watched a while ago. Her outfit was quite horrible too, manz, the hair style was a total mess. Her singing voice was still okay but she really shouldn't scream/shriek even though she's really high, it was way over-rated and whiny, I know that's her normal voice but to hear it 10 times loud was excruciating.

ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 12.

Whole Cast - Generation A;
The whole cast of ANIMELO SUMMER LIVE 2007 come together to sing Generation A, a nice ending to the concert.

I really like how enthusiastic the fanboys at the standing front rows were lol. The effects, songs and even the editing of the clips were really good, if I were watching live in that stadium, I would really be moved to tears. Seriously, the Singapore Indoor Stadium has a LONGGGGGGGGGGGG way to go if they want to reach world class standard.

By the way, I'll do the summary of Hatsu Koi Shimai Chapter 8 on weekend instead.

Random rants;
Me sad. My parcel from play-asia.com's not here yet and it's been 14 days since shipment. My DVDs from amazon.com won't be coming in time for christmas too ... sigh. I'll probably do Hatsu Koi Shimai Chapter 8 summary tomorrow, please look forward to it =].

   My Anime/Manga Sources, Where/How to Shop Offline/Online?
[Posted @ 3:00PM]
Because I have nothing to do and felt like doing so, I've decided to list, explain and disclose discuss where all my anime/manga you see floating in my blog come from. Even though I've not patronized half of the sites listed, I might be a potential customer in the near future if anything catches my eye =).

Logos of My Anime/Manga Fix Sites.

Be warn, lots of harmeless bitching of shopping experience! [I'm only stating stuff and conditions applicable to me or an Anime & Manga Fan]

1. Amazon.com

- Categories are Anime/Manga, Online Shopping
- Payment Modes accepted are American Express, Diners Club, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Amazon.com gift certificates, etc.
- Unfortunately, amazon doesn't accept Paypal and International Wire Transfers.

My shopping experience;
I was rather skeptical of purchasing from amazon at first because I heard around that the prices were on the 'premium' side but then I just had to start somewhere, so I ordered two manga, Sister Red #1 [By the way it was out-of-stock in Takashimaya's Kinokuniya when I purchased #2.] and Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl~ #3 and Kannazuki no Miko DVD Box Set for the time being. After calculating the costs, shipping costs via vPOST and comparing to my local Kinokuniya's pricing, I realized it was darn expensive LOL.

First Order from Amazon.com on August 2007.

The total order rang in at US$72.73, free shipping charges cos shipping address's at vPOST USA address, so the goods were about S$108 [Taking US$1 = S$1.48]. vPOST charged me S$26.98 for the shipping fees, so it's like S$108+S$27 = $135. That means the Kannazuki no Miko DVD Box Set was S$90 and Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl~ #3, Sister Red #1 were S$22.50 each!!! Anyways, I forgotten EVERYTHING about the price when I got the parcel in 3 weeks ... so it doesn't matter now, I'm happy with my KnM DVDs XD.

Recently, if you've been following my ramblings, I've purchased Bakuretsu Tenshi [Burst Angel] DVD Box Set, Loveless DVD Box Set and Medal of Honor Airborne PC Game. I was like totally excited when I saw that Bakuretsu Tenshi DVD Box Set was at half price and so I grabbed the chance and clicked the buy button. The total was US$115.97 which means it's about S$172 [Taking US$1 = S$1.48]. My shipping cost was about $$36.14 but I was given an 8% discount so it's around S$33. S$172+S$33=S$205, so the average costs between the three items were S$69. Which I thought to be quite a catch, not bad la, considering ODEX's price and quality for Bakuretsu Tenshi Volume Sets.

2. Play-asia.com

- Categories are Anime/Manga/Games/Figurines/Jpop Music, Online Shopping
- Payment Modes accepted are Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Western Union, Moneybookers, Bank Transfers.
- Unfortunately, Play-asia doesn't accept check payments, money orders, cash or cash on delivery.

My shopping experience;
Play-asia.com is my first shopping experience online, likewise, I heard around that Play-asia.com's pricings were on the 'premium' side and even though they had stated that delivery to Singapore was free, I believe the shipping costs were included in the item itself. Hey, nothing is free in this world you know lol. At that time, I didn't have a credit card yet, so I used Moneybookers, first I had to transfer funds via eNETs with a small fee to the account before I can start using it. It was pretty fast, the transaction was done in 15 minutes. The goodies I got were Strawberry Panic! OP1/OP2/ED1/ED2/OST singles and 3 Drama CDs, Kannazuki no Miko OP1/ED1/Drama CD singles and Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru OP1+DVD single.

First Order from Play-asia.com on January 2007.

All I can say that the total was around S$380 for the loot mentioned above with the shipping charges included, so it's like around S$380/12=S$32. Considering some of the stuff I ordered where really backdated, it's a wonder that I could still get my paws on them lol even though I had to wait for some time [3 weeks] for some of the items to arrive it was okay cos I wasn't charged for shipping [Which ironically was included in the first place lol]. However, after I got my credit card, I pretty much 'closed' the Moneybookers account lol and ordered Meilin's 'Candy☆Boy' + DVD single with the credit card XD.

3. Comics Connection

- Categories are Anime/Manga/Games/Figurines/Magazines/Trading Cards/VCDs/DVDs etc, Brick and Mortar
- Payment Modes accepted are NETS, Cash, Credit Cards [Probably for Payments above S$30? Not sure but there's a cap.] at distributing outlets.

My shopping experience;
Before Comics Connection, I used to buy my manga at Popular Bookstore, but then Popular used to be REALLY REALLY slow in their arrival of the latest manga issues that I had to turn to Comics Connection. I think Popular ain't so bad in their releases now, but it's too late, they lost me lol. Basically I'm a regular customer at Comics Connection, usually Northpoint, purchasing the latest English manga by ChuangYi Publishing every twice a month or more. It'll depend how many volumes I'm getting for the week, if it's only 1 for that particular week, I'll wait till the next week and get the 'old' and 'new' at the same time.

Loots from Comics Connection.

Anyways, I heard or dreamt? that ChuangYi Publishing's opening a retail outlet of their own, so ... I guess probably I'll jump to them in the future? Lol.

4. The Celestial Zone Studio

- Categories are TCZ Volumes/Merchandises, Online Shopping, Brick and Mortar
- Payment Modes accepted are Credit Cards for Online Shopping and Cheque on Subscription Basis. Cash and NETS for distributing outlets.

My shopping experience;
I started collecting TCZ when I was around 14 and was pretty active in the forums back then lol, but now I'm quite busy with my life. I used to pop over Popular Bookstore to get my fix, now I'm only contented to receive latest issues monthly via post. However, I'm religiously collecting the TCZ merchandises during the Singapore Book Fair every year. I was so crazy once that I almost wanted to purchase the Chi Xue's Blood Red Sword sword for S$200 LOL and there's only 3 in this world.

Collection of TCZ Issues.

Latest TCZ Merchandises.

I'm still supporting TCZ because it's a Singapore-based Manga series and will continue to do so =).

5. Kinokuniya Singapore

- Categories are Anime/Manga/Magazines/VCDs/DVDs etc, Online Shopping, Brick and Mortar
- Payment Modes accepted are Cash on Delivery, Cheque for Online Shopping. Credit Cards, Kinokuniya Vouchers, Cash, NETS for distributing outlets.

My shopping experience;
Well I haven't tried the online shopping yet, maybe when I want more than S$50 worth of manga just to get that S$5 delivery charge waived lol. I think the payment modes are pretty good, good old cash and cheque =). Even though many people think/said that Kinokuniya's pricing were expensive, you'll have to see what you're purchasing I reckon.

Loots from Kinokuniya.

Unless you're purchasing alot alot of books online, just to save that little on the shipping charges, I recommend you just get it from Kinokuniya to save the troubles and time wasted. Ultimately the decision lies in you.

6. ADV Films

- Categories are Anime/Manga/Merchandises/DVDs/Legal Video Downloads, Online Shopping, Brick and Mortar
- Payment Modes accepted are MasterCard, Visa for Online Shopping. ?? for distributing outlets. [Never been to their store/HQ]

My shopping experience;
I'm always on the look out for their sales and got my chance on September 2007, I purchased 'Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu - Complete Collection', 'Azumanga Daioh - Class Album', 'Chrono Crusade - Complete Collection' and 'Full Metal Panic! - Complete Collection'. The total cost for the four box sets was S$283 + shipping charges of $33 [13% discount] = S$316. So it's like barely S$80 on average for each box set.

Taking into consideration that 'Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu' is a 13 episodes box set, let's take it as S$50, so S$30 will be averaged out to the other three 20+ episodes box sets to make it S$90 each. Besides, I got a free OVA which is usually worth like S$19.90 so ... it's like S$85 each, which I personally think is quite reasonable.

Sales Loots From ADV Films.

On the down side, not that I mind, I found out that ADV Films had poked a hole through the barcode [Probably for some sales/security reasons or something] in the Box Sets. If you're a person who can't take this kind of 'suffering', I suggest you don't buy stuff during sales period lol.

As for the rest - Online Shopping;
7. CDJapan
8. Anime Nation
9. Deep Discount
10. Yes Asia
11. Anime Castle
12. Right Stuf
15. vPOST

As I mentioned, these are the sites whereby I've not purchased anything from, so I can't really comment anything but I believe from the comments of other anime fans, that these are quite reliable sites to do your online shopping. As of the moment, I think I'll try shopping via CDJapan soon heh.

As for the rest - Online Shopping, Outlets in Singapore;
14. Andomacha by M.A.G.E
15. Kareshi Kanojyo no Mise
16. ChuangYi Publishing

I've not bought any anime/manga merchandises yet from these outlets but I guess I'm interested.

Ok, I think that rounds up the this long post, I'm tired lol. Any comments, suggestions and tips on where/how to shop online, purchase any related to anime/manga and where you get your anime/manga fix, please post it in the blogger comment instead of the tagboard. Thanks!!!

   December 2007 Purchases - Kinokuniya
[Posted @ 8:30 PM]
Went to Takashimaya's Kinokuniya this afternoon in the pouring rain to get these goodies. What's up with the 'Unsuitable for The Young' haha, click to see the enlarged picture.

December 2007 Purchases @ Kinokuniya

Yep, I used up my S$60 Kinokuniya vouchers on these babies~ lol, finally got a rock off my chest. Next, I've got to spend the S$80 Comics Connection vouchers LC gave me.

Anyways, the 'Bakuretsu Tenshi [Burst Angel]', 'Loveless' DVD box sets and 'Medal of Honor Airborne' PC game I've ordered through amazon.com WAS delivered! vPOST just sent me an email payment letter yesterday and I paid, so I'm expecting it to arrive probably on 23th or Christmas Eve ... well hopefully.

I'm still waiting for my 'Candy☆Boy [CD+DVD]' I ordered from play-asia.com to arrive, probably on Monday since Mr Postman don't deliver on Sundays [I think?].

Random rantings;
It's been a long and depressing week, received news from the dormitory [In-campus] I've applied that I'm in the waiting list and there's like little chance I'll get a place. So, probably I'll get another dormitory out-campus lol, I emailed a dormitory I'm interested that like 3km away from the campus, so I think it's okay la. I saw bicycle tracks heading towards the campus so, maybe, I could try cycling to campus or something.

Hopefully I get some GOOD news on January 2008 of the dormitory [In-campus] ... it's always better to live in ... lol don't need to rush. But then, I don't wanna pitch too much hope on them. Just as I was cheering up, a freak accident happened two days ago in the place I worked in, I believed that the driver didn't pull his handbrake properly, which could be a result of the death of his friend. It was still unknown, the police took statements and the lorry away.

Everything was filmed by the security camera from afar and we could clearly see the driver alighting from the lorry then suddenly the lorry moved forward as the road was a slope. The driver instinctively ran back to open the door to pull the brake or something but it was too late ... we could see the lorry bumping up and down as it went over his friend. I don't think his friend even had time to protect himself as he was ran over his back [He was walking in front of the lorry]. Everything was gone in just 10 seconds, a life just like that. Needless to say, an ambulance was called and I heard that the vicitm was barely hanging on.

It was really an unfortunate accident, it should NOT had happened. After the incident, my dad and I were discussing more proactive measures to prevent this kind of accident. We never expected this to happen. This was a lesson to the workers operating heavy vehicles to ALWAYS, ALWAYS check that your handbrake is securely in and my dad told me that the gear must be in gear 1 too especially on slopes. I was never taught this in my driving lessons, instead, I was taught to shift it to free gear when the engine is off. Probably my instructor never expected me to drive a manual car [even though I was learning manual], still ...

My dad, aunt and workers in the nursery who knew the person went to the wake tonight and probably going to be very sad. If you're driving, always check that everything is in order and drive carefully to ensure the safety of your love ones.

... Sorry to suddenly shift into depressing mode in the end ... so here's some happy news, Strawberry Panic! Volume 1 [Manga] is shipping out soon! Just saw the update on Seven Seas Entertainment website. So I believe if you pre-ordered it in amazon.com, it should be arriving pretty soon! I'll be getting mine via my local Kinokuniya when it's out!
