My Avatar

*waves* The name is Sarah, and this is how I roll.
I like quarter machines, pay telephones and metal slinkies.

My favorite author is Chuck Palahniuk, and if you're a fan of his, please stop by, wave and run off willy nillly into the sunset.

I'm going to be a senior in high school come September. (Holy shitake mushrooms! Stop making me feel old. Graghinblah!)

I don't mind talking to people, because hey ho, we're a society. And we SHOULD to talk to each other! *triumphant nod*

My favorite mangas are Battle Royale and Death Note. Favorite animes would be Azumanga Daioh, Excel Saga, Fruits Basket FMA + FLCL.
Haven't met a lot of Battle Royale fans, so again, drop a note if you are. Let's talk some high-powered guns and trash can lids.

I think you should probably say hello, especially if you know the lyrics to Stick Stickly's song.

Ah, and maybe I should add that my favorite movies are Fight Club, Saw, Kill Bill, Battle Royale, The Matrix, Pulp Fiction and Resevior Dogs. HURRAH!

As for music, I'm quite obsessive when it comes to AFI, The Clash and Gackt.

There's really only a few things that irk me. Those being incoherant rambles, HORRIBLE grammar and spelling, rascism, homophobia, "gay" used as an insult and massive anime character fangirling (or boying!). (Please people, remember. It's a cartoon character. Fictional. Get over yourselves, go pop some popcorn, take a deep breath and throw yourself off a cliff. =D)

I like to drop it when it's hot.

First and foremost.
May we pay our respects to those affected by 9-11. I live very close to NYC, so of course we were all affected here. Quite a few friends of mine lost family members and friends.
NYC is the strongest city that I know. I love the people there, I love the unity, and I know that we can get through another year of the memories.
I was in seventh grade when 9-11 happened, and as cliche as it sounds, it really does feel like yesterday.
Yes, outside of my house you could see the smoke.
Yes, people were crying and screaming in the hallways, and it still burns to think about it.
Even if you were not affected, please, remember those we lost. Remember the innocent, who went to work to support their families and themselves and never came home.

On a lighter note!

I absolutely cannot wait for Saw 3. (Only forty-something days! Haha.)
But, man oh man, awesome stuffs.

I recently drew Adam in his cigarette glory, and Amanda with her trap...so those should hopefully be posted on this site soon. :)
I made some E-cards! Two of them are from Battle Royale, because theotaku.com lacks in BR love. Seriously, it doesn't even have a hub. At first I thought this was just because it's a manga, not an anime. But Death Note has one. (And while I know it's because Death Notes is getting insanely popular, I think BR deserves some respect. =D)

School seems to be going well.

My pyschology teacher looks like a younger version of Chuck Palahniuk.
English is great, because we're discussing Pride and Prejudice. I love talking in class instead of listening to lectures.

I'm getting a car come this spring! I know it's a while from now, but I'm looking forward to cruising around, blasting annoying/obnoxious/crazy music. (The Fight Club soundtrack is DEFINETLEY going to be the first thing I listen to with the windows down, blasting! That and the Sephiroth theme song. ;p)

I'm just a bit lonley for my friends in college, and I hope I get to see them soon.
For the longest time, I wanted to go to college out of state. But now, I know I could never tear myself to do that. My friends are having a hard enough time only two/three hours away from home. Forget about having to leave New Jersey and dorm somewhere across the country.

So, here's what I think.
Two years of community college.
Then I can decide if I'm ready to go out of state or not. By then I'll only be 20 years old, which sounds so young to me! But I know by then the decision will be clear to me.

Hopefully!

Anyway, question of the day.
What's the most recent dream that you can remember?

I dreamt that my friend Jen and I were dancing by the stairs and I was admiring marble statues. Funny, because Jen found a fortune, and gave me a few dollars saying--"You're the best transvestite I've ever seen!"

Hmmmm.
Hmmmmm indeed!
Yes, I am secretly a man. *wink wink nudge nudge*

   Oh, here we go again!
Well, yesterday was the first day of school. And it's awesome being a senior, let me tell you! I TOWER over the lost freshman. I give wrong directions when they ask me where the C wing. ("Third floor--right next to the pool, kiddo." And no, there is no pool in our school. Nor three floors, only two.)
Commercial Art seems interesting, and my two good friends Marie and Whitney are there with me.

And, last night, Marie and I hopped and left for Philideplhia to see MCR! I'm not a big fan of them, however. I mean, I find some of their songs catchy and memorable, but I just think they're a typical run-of-the-mill band that can't be compared to legends such as The Clash...as I've heard a few teeny bobber thirteen year old girls say. *shudder*
Anyway, they're Marie's favorite band, and if she didn't have a friend to go with her, well, she couldn't go. I love my Marie to death, so I figure if anything, we'll just have a fun time in Phili, and I get to giggle at her getting glossy eyed during the concert.
=D
Which is exactly what happened!

I am DEAD BEAT TIRED. Could be why this post is lacking in sarcasm and pur-dy pictures as usual.

Awwww, hell. We need at least one eye candy picture.
Oh, that'll do.
Davey has gang-star hands.
Jade looks like some Greek warrior.
And Hunter and Adam have found the dust on the ground to proove interesting. =D

   Listen to the train tracks.
Hey there, hi there, how are you? Smashing! That's wonderful.

Well, school starts Wednesday. (AND, Wednesday night, I have a concert in Philidelphia to go to. I've never been to Phili, so it's going to feel odd going to a city that isn't my beloved NYC. Hmmm...)
I can't stop watching this. I really can't. I am hypnotised beyond belief.
I found this on someone's webcam on Deviantart. Any speculation to where it originated? (I mean, I KNOW it's FF7:AC, but I want to know who made it and why.) Cracks me up, though.

AWWWWWW!
That's the cutest kitty cat I have EVER, EVER, EVER seen. I am in love.
I know I post far more than my share of AFI, but c'mon. Classic moment right there!

So anyway, it's been quite hectic here at home. Life's been full of drama, and not the needless kind that I can ignore and let slip pat. No, it's more of still getting over my aunt's death...and coming up on the anniversary of my other aunt's passing from cancer.
I don't like to bring my upsetting stories into your life, dear reader, but today I would like it if I could have some hugs. :) It's been rather rough here.

With that being said...
Question of the...err...moment!
Are you currently reading anything? If, so what. And have you recently read a book that just completely SHOCKED and moved you?

To me, I am finishing up Confession of an Economic hitman. That book's been on the backburner due to summer schoolwork, but now I can finally get back into it again.
As for recent books that moved me, I'd have to say Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk and Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut.
Both made me cry, laugh hysterically and question everything around me. I love books that make me stop, wonder and confuse myself all over again.

I should probably go to sleep, it's 2AM. But honestly, I'm just not tired.
Perhaps some AM tiramisu cake could be the charm. Yum.

   I will wait for you.
In honor of AFI winning their wonderful VMA moonman, I have some happy pictures to spread around!
I love Jade's little kicks. His feet never, ever, ever stop moving. In concerts, it's hysterical, because it seems like he tries to keep his feet down, but he's compelled to do little kicks and the "chicken foot" every five seconds. Amazing. <3
But dear god, Davey is even worse at keeping still. RUNNING from the end of the stage to the other end, it's hysterical.
Ah! The turtle!

Hunter has the funniest expressions. Ever.
Especially when he's playing--and he gets "in the zone". XD

Davey's shirt is so awesome. They're all pirates, I'm telling ya!
And, for good measure, old Davey. Hmmmm, Resevior Dogs, much? *elbow nudge*

Here's to AFI. 15 years of kicking out great music, lovable personalities and still going strong.

   Complete Control
Ricky got his job back, and he's workin in NYC again! I would love to work there with him, since I'm deeply obsessed with visiting my favorite city.

I love living so close to NYC. The train station is only a few streets away from my house, and eight bucks will bring you there. :) I haven't been there since the end of June, so I'm having a bit of withdrawl. Heh heh.

I think once school starts up again for all three of us, we need to plan a daytrip. It feels so weird to have two of my best friends go to college. Often, I feel like I go there too, and when I realize I'm still in high school, I tense up a bit. Only one more year and I can join them!

I had a dream that I got my school scheduale and one of my classes was The Clash Apprechiation 101. Imagine if that was real! That's one class I would definetley ace without even trying.

Does anyone remember the Sega Genesis game, Toejam and Earl? MAN, I was obsessed with that as a kid. My brother has the Sega, but next time I'm over, you can bet that gem of a game is getting busted out again.

I loooove this. Matrix + Oragami = Double Cool Points.
