I get sick of telling you guys about my boring life so I think I'll show you my new story.

Prologue

There are things we can control and then there's everything else. It's weird how one little sentence can affect your whole life, how it effects what you do and how you act and, ultimately, you're destiny.

Hehe. Sorry, I was having a serious moment. My name's Isabelle(Is for short). I'm fourteen and a little crazy. You'd be too if you went through half of the stuff I have.

I'm an orphan, I think. My twin brother, Justin, and I never met our parents so we just say they're dead to save ourselves the embarrassment of facing the fact that they never wanted us. Or worse, they struck us there on purpose.

Where's 'there' exactly? In the middle of nowhere, you may come across a giant stone building of three- or four-floors. In it are delusional teachers, psycho scientists, and innocent kids that have been through hell.

Me and Just(my twin brother) are those kids along with a couple of my good friends. There's Fang, Dew, Dawn, Phantom, and Precious. There are a few other people but they are NOT my friends; Hunter, Jack, Aries, Phoebe, and a few other creeps from the Academy(also known as There).

Fang's real name is Dailey but no one has the guts to call him that. He's 5'11” (so I feel teeny next to him) and kinda cute. Cute being long black hair, dark brown eyes, and completely evil. Girl's fall for him and his chauvinistic attitude. Personally, I find it annoying.

Andrew(Dew) and Dawn are twins but unlike me and my brother, they actually like each other. I'm not sure if it's because Dew is blind and Dawn is deaf and they are always together. Or it may be that they have more patience and can tolerate the others' faults; a talent me and my brother haven't mastered. The twins have LONG silver, blonde hair; silver, blue eyes; and never talk. They're both mischievous and a little dangerous when you tick them off.

Phantom(Johnathan) and Precious are the youngest in the whole group. Phantom's twelve and Precious is eleven. They're related even though they are NOTHING alike. Phantom has short brown hair and a major attitude problem. He's been known to start fires. Precious has long brown hair(somewhere around her knees) and is a total angel. She's just naturally sweet and stuff.

Just and I have as much in common as Phantom and Precious do. Curly reddish-brown hair and hazel eyes, a love for dark colors, and weird senses of humor. If it wasn't for some weird bond that we can't break, we'd never talk. Just is a total over-achiever. He has to be the best. Me? I don't care as long as I'm not the worst. We only agree when it comes to helping our friends.

As for the rest of the creeps at the Academy... I'd have no problem if Phantom blew them up. I'd actually enjoy it. Wait, does that make me evil or something?

Chapter One: In the Beginning...

I remember the day when everything changed, when we finally found freedom. Amazing how one little word has such a huge impact on seven kids. But that's not the point. The point is Just was bugging me while I was complaining.

“WHY ARE YOU EVEN IN HERE?” Yes, I have very little patience and being around teenage boys and their stupidness make it worse.

“If you'd calm down a little, you'd know it was to make you mad.” I don't get it either but that's Just for you.

“Get out of my room,” I said tipping over the chair he was sitting in.

We were currently in my room and Just was currently on the floor. Sitting up on his knees, he scowled at me.

“Oh, scary face. What so ever should I do?” I said walking over to my bed. I picked up a pillow and hurled it at him. I think it hit him his face but I never got a chance to see because he pushed me onto my bed.

“I really hate sarcasm, Is.”

“Not my problem, Just. Besides, you're sarcastic all of the time. I get it from you.”

Before he could say something, my door flew open and in walked Fang in all his wonderful darkness. He picked up the chair Just had fell from and sat in it, staring at us with little interest.

“Have you ever heard of knocking?” I said pushing Just off of me as I sat up.

“Why would I do something stupid like that?” was how Mr. Gloomy answered. I didn't get the chance to use my wonderful sarcasm because the twins came into my room next.

The creepiest thing about the twins is they NEVER talk. Both of them can, it's been proven, but they just don't. I think it's a sign of rebellion towards everyone. Of course, it could be the fact that they like to creep people out.

They sat in the corner of my room under a window with their shoulders barely touching. The look in their eyes was one of complete boredom. I glanced at Just who shrugged his shoulders and started talking to Fang about something I decided to tune out.

Sighing, I opened the window the twins were under. Dawn smiled that beautiful smile of hers and Dew slouched back on my wall. He was looking at nothing in particular(that makes sense considering he can't see) and tilting his head to the side.

“What's bothering you?” I asked him. He shrugged his shoulders and went back to staring at nothing. I rolled my eyes and moved back to my bed.

I knew Phantom and Precious would be here in a few minutes and everyone would just lounge around and do nothing for a few hours and then go to their rooms and sleep and then we'd go to class or lounge around in someone's room for a few hours and then we'd...well, you get it.

There's nothing to look forward to. Occasionally, there was a fight, or someone would get a new movie or CD, or something stupid would happen and we'd be taken out of the boring, day-to-day schedule we had fallen into.

I had pulled out my journal and started to doodle in the margin when Phantom burst in the room. His bangs were covering his bright green eyes and his shirt was ripped. Everyone looked at him while he tried to catch his breathe. I saw his long nails dig into his arm and knew something was wrong.

“Where's Precious?” Just asked as I noticed she wasn't behind Phantom.

Chapter 2: A Little Fun

Fang stood up and walked over to Phantom who had tears sliding down his cheeks. No one in our group ever cried unless it was serious.

Putting both hands on the younger boys shoulders, Fang asked Phantom the question slowly, “Where's Precious?”

Phantom looked at the purple stain on my carpet but mumbled the name out. I have exceptional hearing, but I still asked Fang what his answer was because I didn't want to believe the it.

“Hunter.” I could hear the growl in Fang's throat and see the blood lust in his eyes. I reached under my bed for my shoes. It was obvious what was going to happen next.

“Great,” Just muttered rolling up his sleeves. “I was hoping to have a little fun today.” He smirked at me as I tightened the laces on my shoes.

“What's going on?” Dawn asked her brother.

“Hunter kidnapped Precious. We're gonna get her back,” he answered sighing. He tipped his head in my direction.

Then looking at me with those cold, blue eyes, he smiled. Very rare coming from Dew but nice to see. I smiled back and winked at Dawn. The two of them stood up and walked out of the room silently. They stood in the hall waiting for us to lead.

Fang and Just stared at Phantom who walked out of the room and took us down the long hall until we were in front of the Rec Room.

“Creep Territory,” Dawn whispered. I turned to her and saw her normal shining and happy face go dark and upset.

Precious is, well, precious to all of us. She's the youngest in our group and we all feel responsible for her, especially Phantom. I knew it was killing him to know it was his fault that Hunter had gotten Precious(even though it wasn't).

“I'm gonna kick Hunter's as-” Fang started out but was interrupted by me.

“We're going to do this as peaceful as possible. Yeah, we could shed a little blood, but then WE'D get in trouble,” reasonable me said pulling my hair back. But smiling I couldn't help but add, “Besides, Hunter's mine.”

Fang just stared at me for a few seconds but turned back to the Rec. I looked at Just who turned to the twins who nudged Phantom from his wallow in self-pity. I winked at Fang, who opened the door.

Well, there you have it. The first two chapters(if you don't count the prologue) of the only story I may ever finish in my entire life.
