   Blech
I feel like crap today.... I dun wanna go to school just sit home and watch anime... What a great life there. I'm thinking about becoming a Japanese Teacher.. (I've been watching and reading waaay too much GTO) It makes you wonder tho, GTO is seriously one of the best series I've read and seen, so why are there barely any fansites for it? I really think there should be more. I mean I know I'd make one if I was any good at making sites, unfortunately I suck at making them. Like characters like Onizuka and Kikuchi deserve a shrine. I guess its too real to have reached the fan hysteria that series like Gundam Wing and Fushigi Yugi have. In GTO unlike many fantasy stories, there are no definitive bad guys or bad or good sides. Although in many animes, they may have bad guys who are good at heart, in GTO Onizuka truly believes that none of them are bad. Some of them are annoying, true and thorns in his side, but he believes that he can change them for the better. Since the main conflict seems to be converting the people and keeping his job, they can't have a final battle unless you include a conversion to the heart of Miyabi. Great series tho, wonderful stuff. I'm only harping on this cuz its my latest obsession...fun stuff there!

Let's make this a "guraito" day!
Has anyone read or seen GTO? Have you seen the live action. That is the main question. Its my first J Drama, so I'm not sure how that ranks among it, but whatever, its top quality. Its only 12 episodes, but so far I can say I cried through all of them. Especially near the end. Its one of the most touching series I have ever seen. Onizuka is a former biker, a rough guy and some punk. He has no regard for rules and doesn't seem to care. What he does care for is the students he teaches though. He really cares, and as Kunio says one of the episodes, All those other teachers said they cared, but they were only doing it for their own sake. He really cares, he is the real thing. Onizuka defends his students until the end, even when everyone else even their own classmates have given up on them. This is how slowly, one by one, he wins them over. He is truly a great teacher. Plus the Live action has a great song, Poison sung by Takashi Sorimachi, a hot man who plays Onizuka himself. Its a great watch! Don't miss it!
