Hello, and welcome to my site. I'm calling myself Sharael, or Shar, after the main character in one of the very first stories I wrote.
Some quick facts about myself:
-I love art of all kinds and have been fascinated with anime for years.
-My introduction to anime began with 'Pokemon' in the third grade, mostly because it was one of the fads that in school, and also because I didn't have cable tv, so the only kids shows available were looneytunes and anime.
-After some time I discovered Yu-gi-oh and for a few years I was absolutely obsessed. Then my dad finally had it with the bad reception and we got cable.
-I haven't gotten into the mainstream mangas out there. I've only read Demon Diaries, a few books of Marmalade, and some unknown series called Zodiac 101. Strangely, that one is my favorite.
-I first saw 'Spirited Away' in the eighth grade and have fallen completely in love with anything Miyazaki since.
-I write stories and one of my dreams is to publish one someday.
-I am an amateur artist who, sadly, doesn't have much time for art.
-I read anything and everything.
-I have a boyfriend whose just as much of a helpless romantic as I am.
-I love running and someday I hope to compete in a marathon.

 so...I downloaded "gimp 2.4" since there was no possible way for me to get photoshop, and...I'm having a few problems. Does anyone out there know how to work gimp? (the online tutorial doesn't work with my computer...go figure) ahh, it's frustrating, because I really want to create these awesome pics, but I don't know how!!!
Please, any suggestions? I'm dying here, and I only have a few more days off before I get swamped with work again.
