well happy new year's everybody.
ours was ridiculously informal XD
11:58 my parents and i realized "shit it's almost 12" and ran for the glasses and stuff... then right after we went back to our respective activities. i rediscovered how much kingdom hearts 1 vexes me. ooh and i discovered an awesome-looking new game i want to get. it's called rogue galaxy. it has SPACE PIRATES. tell me how THAT can go wrong.

since after christmas i have about a million books to read, but they're all books that i wanted to read in the first place so it's a good thing. and i have more calligraphy and sumi paraphernalia than i know what to do with O.o
also photoshop and some awesome japanese-y shoes. i still have to write thank-you notes. the process itself isnt' all that tedious, but somehow, like writing, it just takes so much to make myself do it. meh.

i listened to the audiobook of The Golden Compass twice to refresh my memory of the book, so i can complain all the way through that goddamned hollywood disaster of a movie. His Dark Materials is possibly the best trilogy ever written and the WORST thing they could possibly do is to make a movie. ugh.
