My Avatar

Hajimemashite! Rinnah desu. Doozo yoroshiku!
When I was a freshman in high school, I had given up on cartoons. If it was animated, I wouldn't watch it. Then, one day my little brother asked me to watch InuYasha with him. I was amazed at how it could have any kind of storyline above the comprehension of a three year-old. After that I started watching Kikaider, Big O, FLCL, Blue Gender, and, my favorite, Wolf's Rain. Thankfully, I branched out to more than what I could find on [adult swim].
It's been seven years since my introduction to anime, but I'm still just a beginning Otaku. It has influenced many aspects of my life, including my career plans. At one point I wanted to be a psychologist, whereas now I am aiming to be a Japanese-English translator with the dream of voice acting.
I have many other interests besides anime, such as books and music, but seeing as how this is an anime site I won't go into much detail about those here. I look forward to talking with everyone. Anime recommendations welcome!

Jaa mata. ^_^

   Destiny
I have been reading a lot of books lately. Well, I always read a lot. But lately all I can think about is how I want to have a destiny. I want to save the world or have some magnificent fate. I want something more than working at a bank, getting married, and having kids.

I want my name to be written on more than a birth certificate and a tombstone. I want people to be able to say more than "she lived and she died".

Anyone else feel the same?

   Technologically challenged....
Sorry my page isn't too pretty... I don't own a computer so I have no idea what I'm doing... Anyone know an idiot's guide to decorating cyberspace?
