   The Beginning
All the world's a stage.

I forgot who said that, Shakespear? Anyhow, that saying applies to me. I'm a drama queen, praying for action, adventure, comedy, and romance around each corner. But my life, while blessed with fun and encouraging friends and a loving family, doesn't make the cut of one of the big screen movies I've pictured my self in. But that's why I act.

I'm not a movie star (with their fancy cars and their limosinues,) but I do play the piano, take hip hop, and tryout for any play I can (though the rest of my family's schedule limits me to one play at a time.) That's why I went last night to the Costic Center at six to try out for "The Wonderful World of OZ," a mix between "The Wizard of OZ," (which I was in three years ago as a member of the Lullaby Leauge,) and Broadway's "The Wiz."
Well, I went, and after waiting in a long line for a while (it went fast with the help of one of my best friends, Alanna, to talk to,) I was signed up as number 83.
After everyone signed up, auditions began. Since one went first Alanna got her audition over with fast. On the other hand, I got to wait, pratice, and talk with two other girls from our school, Grace and Vanessa. When I was my turn I sang loud, and gave the speaking part my all.
And i guess it was good because i got a callback for not one, but two parts today, Dorthy and the Tinman. Pretty good considering that those are the only main parts i've got the chance of getting. All the other main parts go to either high schoolers or adults (as stated on the form) and since no high schoolers tried out, that means they'll be played by people nineteen and up. But I'm not complaining, just stating fact, and the fact is, I'm very happy (and nervous.)
Of couse, if I got a call back, then Grace and Vanessa definately got a call back becuase they take voice and have gone to more acting camps and workshops than me. I wonder about Alanna though. She's a good actor, but she hasn't been in as many plays as the rest of us, and plays are pratice, and pratice makes perfect, but who knows. Well, unless it snows really hard all tonight, I'll know tomorrow.
