It's eleven o'clock and time for the news.
This comic makes me giggle. It also makes me very happy to have jobs I like.
I saw the first two episodes of Madlax this morning before work. So far, it's looking pretty good. It seems nice enough.
At work today, we got a bunch of new demo cds... which means I brought home some half dozen cds. Yay for free music! I also had the girls I work with laughing at my crazy OCD. For example...
Me sorting candy by color (and munching on the red ones!) And then there's my alphabetizing EVERYTHING, and making patterns with the highlighters in the wordsearches... I had them rolling today. Ah. My insane obsessive compulsive behaviors. They're wonderfully amusing at times!
It's a shame all my art stuff is packed. I'd like to try my hand at painting anime instead of impressionist like I usually do. I can't sketch, or draw with a computer program, or anything cool like that, but for some reason, I can paint. Maybe I'll dig all my stuff back out... I really want to work at it now. One day I'll put some of my stuff on here.
Alright, all this talk about painting... I'm gonna go do it!

Today at work, I was perusing the Anime section, and I looked at a few I'd never heard of. I ended up buying Madlax and E'S Otherwise, courtesy of some cash my sister sent me. The rest of it is going towards that Art class! *crosses fingers* Here's hopin I have enough. I met some guy there today, and we started talking about certain animes. I told him about TheOtaku. So maybe there'll be a new member soon, hm?
My haircut's going over pretty well, everyone seems to like it.
I'm heading to Slovenia on Saturday with my church group. We're going skiing. They claim we're staying at a four star hotel, but this is a Slovenian four star hotel. Which means that it's more like an American Motel6, I think. Everyone and their cat has used those linens. (Note to self: bring own sheets.)
Mmm.. I think I'll write some more tomorrow. I work in the morning tomorrow, and I need to be getting some sleep.

Valentine's Day
So, today I'm babysitting, and having a girls' night out with a couple people. Going out for dinner, coming home and cracking open some wine. It'll be fun.
Packing out the house is getting to be a real pain. There's a weight limit, and well, I have a lot of stuff. I've gotten rid of half of my things and I still have way too much. I need to quit being a packrat, that's what I need to do. THe problem is that I have so much artsy fartsy crap that I can't get rid of, because I use all the time. Maybe I could sell some of my paintings. Get some cash and get rid of stuff, all at the same time! And then there's my knitting stuff, and my scrapbooking stuff, and my sewing stuff, and, well, I have nowhere to put them!

Well, this place won't pack itself. I'm out like a fat kid in dodgeball.

   Who is the luckiest girl in the world?
The answer would be "Phedre." Because my boyfriend just bought me the Gravitation anime! Now I just gotta wait for it to come in the mail.. I'm so excited!!! I've been reading the manga, but parts of it are a little confusing. I think if I see the anime it will help clear things up a little bit.
In other news, I have to start picking spring classes. Registration starts in a month, but by the time I get to Italy and get settled, that month will have become "yesterday! oh crap!" So, I figure, if I can pick them out now, I'll save myself a lot of time and stress. Only problem is that I think I can only take two classes, because I'm too broke. I think I'll go with an Italian course and a math. I'd really like to shove an art class in there if I could... Ah, ramen and pizza, here I come! Damned broke college kids.

Quiz!
So, I was perusing the site and stumbled across a Furuba quiz. It said I was "destined to be with Hatori." It's a shame that he's always portrayed as being heartbroken, though. He DOES have a life besides his past with Kana. Jeez. Talk about being stereotyped into a corner. He may have a calmer demeanor than most, but he has a sense of humor, and when he's with Shigure and Ayame, he's happy.
But I'm rambling again.. So until later.

So, first post ever.
This is mostly going to be my rambling introduction, so do pardon.
I guess having been a pretty active member (translation: scouring the site every day) for about a week has convinced me that I'm actually gonna STAY a member.
Or at least, enough to write a post. I'm feeling wonderfully anime right now, the timing is too apt. I've got my hair all angsty-funky (mainly because I'm getting tired of having a perm, and I have to do something with it or I'll chop it all off again), and I'm dressed like Akito from Fruits Basket (not purposefully, it just ended up that way). Oh, and I'm eating some delicious sticky rice, with chopsticks! The only thing I'm missing is a love triangle and something trying to take over the world.
I'm moving to Italy in a couple of weeks.. So I'll be looking around for some conventions in the area. Got some research to do!
