It's a very freaky dream.. the kind you don't take home to Mothaaah
I had the weirdest dream ever last night. (I'm typing this right after I wake up so I don't forget it) It was all from first person, but... it was from five different people's eyes. At different times, obviously. First I had bought a big ball of kittens. It was weird, because it was kinda like a melon and it hatched anywhere from one to four kittens. I bought it at the grocery store. I also got four kittens out of it. Yeeeeah buddy. So then I start freaking out cause they were just born and I'm at home on lunch and I have to get back to school, and I revert to some school I've used in an old dream. But since they were just born they need special care, so I pack them up and take them with me, leaving behind my two older cats (my "boys" as you know them), since they're fine. I get on my bicycle with a friend of mine, and apparently there's some fine I have to pay for being late, and I don't have any money. So I bring along something to sell. Unfortunately, my friend starts yelling about how I stole it from my parents. And I'm like "Dude! They have two! It's a litter scooper!" How I expected to get $26 (the fee) out of a litter scooper I have NO idea. I also don't know why I didn't just stay home. Maybe there was a bigger fee?
Scene change. I've turned into the mother of a teenage boy, and she doesn't know where he is; he ran away. I start complaining about how I've been having this nightmare lately, when suddenly it starts happening as I narrate it. This spirit of a girl flies in through the door and starts attacking me. Somehow I know there are in total six of these girls, not all here at the same time though.
First person change: I am now the spirit of the girl. I start attacking the woman and then somehow I am attacking her son instead. She screams "Nooooooooooooooooooo!" and starts trying to fight me off of him, because he's unconscious.
First person change: I'm the mother again. I notice a light blue band on the kid's wrist; it's all twisted. Somehow I know that if I untwist it, he'll live. So I just try to pull it off, and he starts to die. So I'm like, well crap, of course it wouldn't be that easy. So I start untwisting it superfast and when I finally get it done, the spirit of the girl dies. I'm all relieved and I look at my work (the bracelet) and I see in horror that it's broken. I look at my son and scream.
Scene change: I'm the kid with the kittens again. My friend wants to stop at his house. So we get there and he opens the door and out of the corner of my eye I see some purple waving, and I just KNOW that it's the body of the mother. Somehow she's been lynched after living that dream. Maybe the girl did it, or maybe she hanged herself. It's not explained, but super creepy. Suddenly I'm like "Shit. I got to get my cats; I don't want them home alone when freaky shit like this is happening." And my friend is all too happy to get out of there, so we go get my cats (I'm assuming we've contacted the appropriate authorities), and we're trying to ride our bikes while holding two kennels. We're going back to school. (Maybe I should just pay my fine in kittens!)
Scene change. I'm the kid's friend's older brother. Or should I say, the mother's son. You recall the melon full o' kittens? Well, I have apparently gotten one of those full o' ladies. So suddenly I start tackling these girls, and then rescuing them so they'll like me. (Here there starts a first person change of every minute or two. I'm also one of these girls, the first one who existed, and the first to get tackled.) Don't ask for logic here, I don't get it either. Then again, I'm not really a teenage boy. Guess how many? Go on, guess. That's right. Six. And they're all wearing pink T-shirts that say "Jennifer" in orange letters across the front. Identical. They all start to see what I'm doing and start plotting, because they're mad. After I finish tackling each one, they walk behind me, laughing and giggling. I think it's cause they like me. As the girl, I think it's much worse, see; we're giggling because we're PLANNING WAYS TO KILL HIM.
THE END! Or rather, as the French say, "Fin."

Ah, I'm a lazy bum
I've been getting a little behind in my posting lately. Not for any actual reason, just been doing a lot of running around and when I get home I only want to check on everyone else's updates.
The whole family got together for dinner last night. It a just a simple dinner, but it's always nice to have everybody there. Well, not EVERYBODY. My sister's in Texas, so dinner with the family is kind of out. But my parents, my brother and his wife, their son (they got here a couple weeks ago), and ME! were all there. We all live pretty close together. I live in a small apartment above my parents, and my brother lives about ten minutes away. My nephew is 5, and ADORABLE, and already learning some Italian.
Anyway, in other news, the pre-job stuff is going well. And today I got 200 hits ^.^ A small milestone for me.
Today when I woke up, my computer was COVERED in cat hair. According to Mike and Munch, apparently, the only laptop you should ever have is a cat.
Well, I'm kind of boring, so.. I'll leave this here.

Venezia e molto bene Panini!
The beach was... eh... It was gorgeous, but super windy. I found a crab. I was COVERED in sand though, because of all the wind.
But more importantly, I took the train to Venice! Finally! And had I gone there with a significant other, I'm sure I would have loved it even more. I didn't get there until around three or four, so there wasn't time to see everything. Piazza San Marco was beautiful, especially the cathedral. I love cathedrals, they're so awe-inspiring. You think, these buildings are hundreds of years old. They're massive and made of stone. They're these hulking figures of cold rock, but then they're balanced with beautiful stained glass and ornate detailing. It's sort of homey, in a very formal way.
There are hundreds of pigeons in San Marcos Square, and I got a picture of me feeding them. There are all these vendors selling little bags of dried corn for the birds. Oh man, these pigeons are hungry and NOT SHY about showing it. I had pigeons in my face and hair and all over me! Luckily, no poo though. Whew!
I saw a traffic light! In Venice! No roads, just a waterway, with a traffic light. And I saw gondolas! And traditional gondoleers (is that a word?), dressed in black pants and striped shirts, with the funny hats. I took a waterbus. They don't have ANY cars in Venice, except on the outskirts where people commute to work and then catch a water taxi. It was SO COOL! I bought a dress and some scarves. I sat down and had a panini (a sort of sandwich)in the square and it was really good. I did lots of stuff. I need to go back though, and spend more time doing the little things instead of just an overview like I did today.
It is so unbelievably amazing to have these opportunities. I love Europe so much. I want to live there... OH WAIT! I DO! ^.^ teehee!
Anyway, my computer is starting to burn my legs, so I'm gonna end this now.
Ciao, bella!

Lots of Little Things
Whew, I stocked up on ramen and tea yesterday. Crisis averted.
So lately I've gotten into this extremely boring yet highly addictive game from Yahoo! Games: Fish Tycoon. I'm not sure why it's so addicting.
It's a terrible thing to have disco songs stuck in your head. *puts on some Cherry Poppin' Daddies instead* Mmm.
Oh, and Vankala... Your page won't load for me, so I can't read your latest post... Sorry!
Ugh, I hate how in the mornings I'm always puffy. Ewwwwww, morningface! That, and my rings squish my fingers when I wake up.
I went by yesterday and picked up my paperwork for the job. I have to have a background check done, my fingerprints taken, a physical done, a TB test done (even though I just had one two months ago...) and take a test on safety when handling food. I'm gonna have plenty to do this week.
I'm going to the beach today! I'm excited. I haven't been to a REAL beach in forever. In England, most of the beaches have rocks instead of sand, and before England I lived like, three hours from the beach, and we had a swimming pool, so we didn't go too often.
I was talking to my best friend on the phone yesterday. She got accepted as a transfer student to Berkeley in Indiana. We've talked about moving in together. I told her that I wanted to stay here another year or so, since I just got a well-paying job and, come on *holds out hands like a scale* Italy... Indiana... Italy... Indiana... *Italy hand drops lots* I'm going to get a lot of money saved up while I'm here, because I don't know how long it'll take me to get a job in Indiana. The main reason we want to live together is that our lives work so much better when we're able to see each other everyday. We keep each other motivated, and she helps me along with taking more good risks, and I keep her from becoming apathetic about life. We're completely different, and that's exactly why we work so well together.
It's so funny, we even look completely different. She's 6'0" tall, skinny as a rail, dirty blonde, and has brown eyes. I'm 5'0", much more shapely, brunette, and I have blue-green eyes. I dress more "shy, yet stylish girl next door" and she's very... in your face. I love her to death. She, my sister, my sister's best friend, and I would always hang out together, all four of us. Once we all went to six flags. That was great. BUT I'm getting off-topic here. I guess I'm just trying to say that I'm really excited that I'm going to be moving in with Kelly, because our lives will perk up. She's my confidante, my advisor, and my friend.
But now it's.... BEACH TIME!

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I accidentally deleted the last post I put up... OH WELL! It wasn't very important anyway. It just talked about my vegetables. But yeah,
I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I seriously wasn't expecting to find out for another couple of weeks, but sure enough. 8 AM rolls around and the phone's ringing. My first thought was "Come ON PEOPLE! IT'S EIGHT IN THE MORNING AND I DON'T HAVE A JOB." Like I'm really gonna be awake?
I did some math, though, and with what I've got saved up plus a couple of paychecks, I can get this computer! And that's just groovy. That includes all the bells and whistles, too.
I've got to go grocery shopping today... Ugh, but I'm such a lazy bum. I wish I wasn't hungry. That makes it harder to ignore the fact that there's no food in my house. I'm low on tea from the last few days of teapot mania. To top it all off, I'm almost out of ramen, too (Gasp! Blasphemy!). I think I only have one pack left.. *sniffle sniffle* That means it's time for breakfast, and then on the road to the grocery store.

Stream of Consciousness
I had my interview this morning. I got really flustered, because she was stoic, and I felt like I had to fill in the silence. Had I been actually CONSCIOUS of what I was doing, I'd have answered her questions and then shut up. I really hope it wasn't as bad as I'm imagining.
Anyway, then I came home, cuddled with my boys on the couch and took a nap. A nap.. for seven hours. I'm not sure if that can count as a nap, though. I think I'm getting sick. Ugh. It was also really rainy outside. I love the rain; it comforts me. Sometimes so much that I don't wake up until it stops. Luckily, I didn't have anything to do today anyway.
My lemon teapot has gotten a lot of use since I've been awake. I'm on my second pot of spearmint tea. Yummmm. I definitely prefer getting my liquids through tea than juice or anything else.
I'm so excited. My friends Ben and Kelly from the States are both coming to see me in July. I haven't seen Ben in almost four years, and Kelly in two. Funny enough, their 18th birthdays are 5 days apart, and with any luck, they'll both be here for both.
When I go up to England in a few weeks, my Anime collection is going to DRASTICALLY increase. My boyfriend didn't want to mail it to me for fear it would get broken, but he got me a bunch of anime when he was in the States.
There's a great song on right now. It's called Rockin the Suburbs, by Ben Folds. It's great. Excerpt: "I'm rockin the suburbs, just like QuietRiot did. Rockin the suburbs, 'cept that they were talented."
Okay, if I keep doing stream of consciousness stuff, this entry is going to get much longer. So I'll save you the boredom and end it here! ^.^ Hehe

More! More! More!
How do you like it? How do you like your loooooooove?
Last night I renewed my commitment to God, so pardon me if this entry is a bit themed. It's just what's been on my mind lately.
I've decided that I'm going to start making prayer shawls. It's a lot of work but some people need them, badly. My sister-in-law, for example. She's on twelve hour shifts at work, and has a husband and a five-year-old to take care of, is working on college stuff, AND still manages to find the time to talk to me. She is super stressed, though, and she could use your prayers, if you have a spare moment. I also turned my journal into a prayer journal, so I'm taking requests! Haha
For those of you who remember the job I wanted to apply for... I have an interview tomorrow morning!!!! Wish me luck!!! I'm so nervous. I hope they like me. *anxious face* Although, it seems like once I handed my life over to God, he handed the things I need back to me.
I did some spring cleaning today, the house is nice and spotless. Well, most of it. My bedroom could use some tidying, but that's mainly because I did some laundry, and I have yet to put it away. It's just nice to have a clean house. It makes you less stressed. I found a teapot that looks like a lemon, so I've been using that lately. Been drinking lots of tea. I've always loved tea, especially herbal. It's so relaxing.
Everyone has been asking me lately if I'm okay. They say I've been quiter than usual. I guess it's true; I've just been thinking a lot. It seems my head has been both racing and empty at the same time. You could compare it to a computer: even if there's nothing on the screen, you could have a dozen programs running in the background. Anyway, I'd better hurry up and post this while the internet's working, otherwise it might not get put up today.

Just a little how-do-you-do...
So next weekend I think I'm going to Venice. No real reason, I just want to. It's not too far, so I'm just gonna hop on a train and head there. I'm such a lazy bum. Thursday I did go to the market in my town, though. I bought some fresh fruit. I think I still have some strawberries and cherries left over. They're so fresh, you can taste it. And fresh tastes GOOD. It's almost like an Under The Tuscan Sun moment where she's writing on the postcard. I'm finally actually getting out and exploring what Italy has to offer.
I started a journal, a real one. It's sad. I'm so boring. I really don't say much of anything. Mostly it's tracking how I progress in my faith, because I've come a long way in the past few months. I've had a lot of time to sit and think.
Anyway, it's time for me to go get some dinner.

Brazilian
So, um.. wow! Brazilian food was incredibly awesome. I had a little too much wine, though, so this entry is gonna be short.
First you went to the cold buffet bar, where they had grilled vegetables, and pasta salads and stuff like that. Then you sit down and when you're done eating that plateful, they start bringing out the meat. It's all on skewers, and they just slice it right onto your plate. They never brought the same meat twice, and I had 9 or 10 different kinds. I also had some really incredible lemony cake. Anyway, I'm home now, and in pajamas. Mmm, comfy.
I did some laundry today. I have to do it the Italian way... they don't use dryers. They hang everything on a line. Silly me didn't wash my sheets until right before I left for dinner, so they aren't dry yet. Also, it's dark, so I could possibly bring a bug or two in with me. Ewwwwwww. So it's just gonna be a blanket and the couch for me tonight. And some cats, can't forget them. They'd never let me live it down.
Just a little entry about the exciting little doodahs that happen in my life. Until later,

Ah, MyOtaku, how I've missed you so
Whew! I finally got internet at my house. What a relief. It felt like I was gonna have to hoof it to the cyber cafe forever. Now I can actually comment on everyone's sites! (hope you guys haven't forgotten me!)
While I've been sitting at home, I've wisely invested my time in a lot of reading. Mostly Christian books, broadening my spirituality. I'm spending a lot of time in prayer, figuring out what God wants me to do with this time; how I can best serve Him. Also, I've taken an interest in yoga. Italy has lost me four pounds so far; I still eat out at restaurants a couple times a week.
Speaking of eating out... Tomorrow I'm going to a Brazilian dinner-and-a-show thing. I've got a new dress and everything. I'm very excited. Which reminds me, I found out I'm going back to England for two weeks for prom and graduation. Yay!
In other news, that new friend I made... he likes anime! Talk about luck. And no, there's no love triangle! Haha, he's married. No worries there.
Anyway, in closing, two books I'd like to recommend:
I Kissed Dating Goodbye and Boy Meets Girl, both by Joshua Harris
