My Mommy and Daddy Love Me!

I'm stuffed after dinner!

My mom and dad came by today and I spent the day with them. I feel so loved. We went out to dinner and afterwards to Hastings which is a video rental/book/cafe/music store. This is also the one and only place in town that sells both anime and manga. So I picked up vol 5 of Wolf's Rain which I am watching right now and vol 10 of the Gravitation manga! I am very happy. Shopping makes me happy especially if I get anime or manga!

John called from Vegas and he is having a good time. He did tell me that it would be more fun if I were there. ::aaaah:: That was sweet huh. He said he got me a present! Of course I have to wait until he comes home at the end of the week before I get it. I will let you all know what it is when I know. ^_^

Let's have a bishie break!

Ah, Eiri Yuki...whatta hottie.

Now for your question of the day. How superstitious are you? Do you believe a black cat crossing your path is bad luck? Breaking a mirror? Do you knock on wood? Throw spilt salt over your shoulder? Are you superstitious?

Wishing on a falling star...

I don't live my life by it. Much of superstition comes from thriftiness. Mirrors were expensive and in the past only the rich could afford them. So they would tell the servants that they would have bad luck if they broke a mirror. Walking under a ladder you could have something fall on you...like a paint bucket. Salt, like mirrors, was really expensive so spilling it was bad luck. I guess I am not very superstitious at all now that I think about it. I do wish on stars (or falling satellites) since I like the romance behind wishing on a falling star. ^_^

Well, I am off to take care of some work, visit the OB and stop by sites. Eventually I will be caught up. I love you all and hope your week is off to a great start. Laters!

   Sad and Lonely.

zzz....

I am sad, lonely and tired. John is gone on a business trip to Las Vegas so I am here holding down the fort. At least I have my dogs. My big concern is if I have a RA flare up again and I can't do anything. I guess I could call my big brother to come stay with me. When I have flare ups I can't do things like open doors, pick things up like pots and pans -- heaven forbid I have to use a knife! I guess I will cross that bridge when I get there.

Short update today. I did want to mention that you guys had some crazy near death experiences. I am happy you are all still here. ::huggles:: I will visit with everyone later. Love you all.

Sorry about the downer posts lately.

Burn baby burn.

I am sure if you stopped by and read yesterday's second post you know I was flaming mad. I have cooled down since then. It just really upset me-- which I am sure you all would be defensive about too if someone questioned your ethics. I am going to submit more wallpapers after this. I don't think I have ever done a rant that I was so upset about. I am sorry to all those who visited my site for the first time yesterday to walk into my rant engine. My normal posts aren't like that one...really!

My rant annoyed the monkey...now I am in trouble!

I will tell you from first hand experience that an angry monkey is not something you want to deal with. One day while working at the vet clinic a client brought in their monkey. He got stepped on. Apparently "Tat" is not allowed in the kitchen since he like to over-eat sweets. One morning while the owner's daughter was getting a bowl of cereal he jumped up on the counter and was trying to get as much cereal in his hands (I believe it was Lucky Charms) and escape before he got caught. The girl was going to the fridge at the time so she had her back turned to her cereal. Just then the owner walked in the kitchen, yelled at Tat. As Tat was jumping off the counter the girl turned around and stepped on his leg. This is what resulted...

One monkey with a broken leg.

He was NASTY when he came in. Broken leg and in trouble from stealing cereal. I don't like being on the receiving end of a screaming monkey. All my co-workers were freaked out since monkeys are like people, you can get lots of nasty diseases from them so you have to be really careful. They can carry Hepatitis, HIV and other terrible diseases. Anywho, Tat got well and he was back to being the cereal stealing monkey he always was.

Now...why did I just share that story? I don't know. That was totally random huh. I guess I should have my bishie break. Don't worry, it won't be the Head A Splode guy. But speaking of which, I find that animation very hypnotic. I keep watching it over and over. If you want to see it, it is on the last post I did. Head A Splode is of course a great Strong Bad reference too. Rock on to anyone who thought "Head A Splode" when watching that gif. Sheesh, talk about trouble staying on topic...bishie break!

Ah my dear Sanzo on yet another art book which I get my images from for wallpapers.

I know, I know, I need to move past that entire wallpaper thing. It still makes me mad since my work was up, people were downloading it and now it is gone. If someone tells their friend to go download it and it is gone they are going to assume that it was deleted because it was stolen or something. That makes me look bad. Damage is done. Bah.

I think I better move on to the question of the day. Have you ever had a near death experience? Or at least a really good fright?

Aaaargh!!

I almost drowned when I was little. I ended up slipping into the deep end of a swimming pool at a friends house. No one noticed me go under. I managed to get myself out. I hit the bottom of the pool and I pushed as hard as I could on the bottom and forced myself up. I was able to grab the side of the pool and pull myself out. I seriously thought I was going to die.

Now I can swim. After that happened I wanted to learn to swim so it wouldn't happen again. I am in no way a great swimmer but I can get by. I am mostly a floater. I can back float forever. LOL

Well, I guess that is about it. I am off to submit my new wallpapers, visit the OB and make my much overdue visits to sites. I appreciate the comments yesterday on my rant. I just needed to get it out of my system. I feel much better now. I love you all and you all rock.

Hell hath no fury like a Panda scorned.

Ok, so it is not in the matters of love but I have a major rant ahead. Skip to the actual post for today with all the cute Wufei pictures if you don't want to read about a Panda who is angry...like someone stole my bamboo angry. Read at your own risk.

As you guys know I submitted a bunch of wallpapers. WHICH I MADE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM. I just got a PM telling me that one of them was deleted because of PLAGIARISM!!!! I am so mad about this. I can't believe my work was deleted without even checking with me first to explain my work! I know if someone is low enough to steal someone else's work they will probably lie about it. I am not one of those people. I hate it when people steal other people's work and try to get credit for it. Heck, I wrote up a submission guidelines for the front page of theO a while back!

What pisses me off is that it was just deleted like I did steal it! It pretty much means the decision has already been made that I am a thief! I have give hours and hours of my time to help this site grow. I treat my time here on the site as my job. I get my articles and interview posted on the site and want only the best for the site. I am aiming for a career in writing, if people can't believe the work I am doing is my own then I have nothing. There is no way in Hell I would steal someone else's work and ruin my reputation, go against my ethics and belittle someone else's hard work.

In my defense, since it WASN'T EVEN ASKED FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE:

Click here to see the wallpaper that was deleted. It isn't a fancy one but it is one that I made myself.

The original image came from the Backgammon 2 Art Book. This book I own and have many scanned images from. As many of you know scanning takes a long time. So when I do my scanning I scan a bunch of stuff to save for future use. Below is a photo of the image in the art book that was scanned along side a picture of me and John to prove that it is my book. If that isn't good enough I can wait until John comes home from work and I can have him take a picture of me holding the book!

Here is the image as it appears in my computer. I wanted everyone to see the actual size of the images so that is why I posted the links versus just posting them in my blog.

The background is original. I made it, as I do all my editing as well, in Photoshop. I cut the image out and put it on a layer, the background was on a separate layer and I used "Apple Chancery" for my signature like I always do and I used "Caeldera" for the other text. If someone needs me to explain which tools I used...lasso, paintbrush, paint bucket, etc...in Photoshop I can do that.

I am sure all of you who have a hobby...drawing, models, whatever...when you are on a roll you just go with it. I stayed up last night til 5:12am working on more wallpapers since I was having so much fun doing putting together the images. I have another 15 more to put up on the site but now I wonder if it's even worth it. Being accused of stealing that hard work is nothing but a bold face lie!

I take this as a personal insult. I have a very strong work ethic and I would never try to steal someone's work and claim it to be my own. I know I did all my work, I can prove all my wallpapers, greetings and fan art are my own. If anyone thinks I have stolen work I can prove you wrong. I keep all my scans and sketches. I take pride in my work and enjoy doing it.

This is what I hope happens when you lie about a Panda....

Did YOU lie about my work being stolen?!

I can't believe someone actually accused me of stealing. That really pisses me off. Whoever did it should come forward and show me the piece they think I stole this from. I know they won't since this is my original design. Fricken' lier. Just because I am a nice person doesn't mean I am going to take bold faced lies like this. If someone still doubts this is my own work I ask you to ask me questions about how it was made and I will answer them. I have nothing to hide since I am not a plagiarist!

Edit: I did send a formal complaint to Adam and he did respond. There will be changes made in the system. I think I am still going to take a break for a bit. I am still too mad to be on the site right now.

Quick Update On The Status Of Your Panda.

Wufei loves Panda..do you?

I love you all. I appreciate all the well wishes. Things are still really rough but I am mucking by. Because of this flare up it has been really hard to keep my spirits up. This stupid disease has really made me isolated from my friends. Being able to visit online has been one thing I can do...but this last flare up took that away from me too.

Today I have been feeling well enough to spend some time on the computer to make some wallpapers. Typing hurts but making wallpapers doesn't. I love my touch pad and Photoshop. I can do all my work without pain. At least it gives me something to do. Be sure to check out my new wallpapers. I did some for Saiyuki, Witch Hunter Robin, Hellsing. Trigun and Wolf's Rain.

Let's have a special panda bishie break! How can he not be my bishie for the day with such a cute outfit!?!

Hooray! Wufei is the bishie of the day!

Now for your question of the day. Since I have been in a bit of a wallpaper mood as of late I was wondering what is on your desktop?

Poor Wufei, he's not on my desktop?!

Currently my desktop picture is Sanzo...shocking isn't it! It is one of the new wallpapers I just made. You can check it out here. The blue one, the one like the Kougaiji one that I submitted. What can I say, I just love looking at Sanzo. ^_^

Well, thanks again guys for all your love and support. I appreciate it more than you will ever know. Hopefully this flare up will go away soon so I can go back to my normal chatty self again. Take care and hope you are all having a great weekend. I love you all!!

I know why you visit my site...

It's because I so rock!

Ok, I know I have been absolutely awful about visiting your sites. That is because I have a very good reason. Actually, a couple of reasons. As you know I have been working on a new interview, that should be another great one. In additon to that I have yet another one in the works at the same time. Yes, I am the multitasking Panda. Watch me work! To make up for my absence from visiting your sites I am giving all of you who visit my site the heads up on the second interview. The first interview is a traditional one-on-one interview, the second one I wanted to do something special.

That is where you guys come in. I have secured an interview with a VERY famous workaholic voice actress (If you read my last interview you know who it is already from the keyword workaholic.) and would like some fan participation. I am going to make this a Q & A session where the Q's come from the fans. Now, I know you are all wondering who the voice actress is. I will give you one hint...

See You Space Cowboy...

Now you all have an early heads up to start thinking up a really good question to ask her. I would like to limit it to only one question per member. Be sure to keep an eye on the front page of the site for more details, needless to say, I am very excited about this fan based interview. Plus, if the questions are no good we know who to blame! ::eyes everyone::

Now let's have a bishie break! So he's a bit young but he is cute. Plus, he and Faye share the same voice actress.

Yahiko!

Now I am not going to ask a question today since I will expect you all to ask a really good question to the voice actress when the link is put up.

Don't forget to celebrate the Bizarre and Unusual Holidays today of "Be Humble Day", "Walking the Dog Day" and "Thinking Day". I guess the very beginning of my post I already messed up celebrating "Humble Day". I will probably take the dogs out for walkies soon so that is taken care of....but "Thinking Day" I want you all to think of a good question! I need to get to work on that right now so I am going to cut today's update short. I love you all and hope you like my interview idea. Laters!

Edit: You guys...THINK of a good question! When the link goes up then you can ask then. LOL

   Pandamonium!!

Well...do you?

I have to start out by giving kudos to Dragon Warrior for the uber-sexy avatar above which he used me as the subject. Much like his sexy tea parties the panda avi is of extreme sexiness. Rawr! I also want to thank all of you for your support. I think I just needed to have a little Panda Pity Party yesterday to mend my bruised ego. I am sure you have all been there. You work really hard on a project for school or something only to have it sent back to you with poor marks. Nothing rains on your parade like having your creativity poo-pooed.

It was a Panda Pity Party and everyone was invited!

Now it is time to move on to bigger and better things! I have put a few more feelers out for future interviews, let's all keep our fingers crossed and see what happens. I DO have another great interview already lined up that I am very excited about. I actually need to finish working on the interview questions after I do this update. I have to make sure this one kicks much bottom since I promised Adam I would get him some great interviews. ^_^

I think it is time for a bishie break. I decided to go with this particular bishie since: 1. My big brother was over on Saturday night for dinner and he brought me cheesecake AND a chocolate cream pie. I am so lucky to have such a great big brother. ^_^ Now without further ado, the bishie for tonight is...

Kougaiji!

Every girl should be so lucky to have a big brother that loves her.

My question of the day ties in with one of today's Bizarre and Unusual Holidays. They include "Card Reading Day" and "Love Your Pet Day"! Everyone go by theOtaku's greeting card section and send out some cards to someone! My question of the day is: Do you have pets? What are they and what are their names? If you don't, would you eventually like to have a pet?

Harrison: Likes to wear my shoes.

Brynner: Thinks the world turns for him.

Ana Ng: KNOWS the world turn for her.

Heston: Loves other animals.

I love my pets. They are an endless source of entertainment for me. I really can't imagine my life without pets. I can imagine my life without children, but not without pets. I guess that is why I went into vet med instead of becoming a MD. LOL

Well, I hope you are all in high spirits like I am. If you have tomorrow off from work or school enjoy the day off. If not, then I hope the day runs very smoothy for you. ^_^ I love you all and appreciate your support. You all rock my panda world. Laters!
