Volunteering is fun! Especially when you get a free lunch!
Well, I didn't go to Visual Dialogues. Rebecca turned me away. I could see it in her eyes that she wasn't keen for me to bring Jared my brother. She basically had a look of disdain and tried to make it better by passing us off to the people in the other people in the education department at Tate.
The event she tried to pass Jared off to was for 0-5 year olds. Oh so appropriate for my 11 year old brother.
We helped, and the lady doing it is nice, and I've seen her around. I haven't got a horrible word to say about her. Her name's Jos- short for Joselyn. We got a free lunch, and we did two sessions which were 1 1/2 hours each. They were cool, and the kids took to it well, if they were old enough. We did it both on Tues and Weds. On Tuesday, I saw this guy, Ryan, who was in the last visual dialogue on Tues when I was going home with Jared, and he waved gingerly, as he was with a friend, and to my horror, he was bald! :O
Yeah, saw Rebecca yesterday, the one who turned me away and I reacted so fast because I was engaged in the girl she was talking to's red shoes and attire in general. I made a face. It must have been a bad one, because today she wrote an email and said sorry. >_> Mwu har har har! *fangs grow*
I didn't help today because I haven't been sleeping well, and I couldn't be bothered to wake up this morning, as I have to get out at 10am.
The lunch yesterday was nice because it was pork and noodles. Such fancy food they have in the Tate canteen! They have like crayfish and fancy pasta and stuff like that! Too posh for a pleb like me! And it's free and not like £3 like if I had to pay. It's good though. And the lady, Jos, remebered about us.
