   New Look

Quote of the Day:
"The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do."
~Walter Bagehot (1826-1877)

Yup, it's that time again. Time to change up my layout. I'm trying to go for a slightly better look, considering I put this one together rather hastily. -gives sheepish look- I'm thinking of a Naruto theme, but, anything that gives me inspiration will do.

Of course, it's gonna take a bit longer to make this time, so don't expect any sudden changes any time soon.

This morning, I had a temperature of 103 degrees. And I had horseback riding. I was conned into it, I swear! They bribed me! Said I'd be able to go to Borders/Barnes and Nobles and get books if I went. Of course, they conveniently left out the part that said they'd let me go when they wanted me to. -pouts- So, I've been stuck at home, with nothing but the computer, my dog, and my cat to keep me company. Okay, well, that's not that bad, but, still...I could've been reading manga right about now. -huffs-

Anywho, my fever has gone down to 101. A little better than before, but it makes a huge difference for me.

Anywho, there's not much else to say. Have a good weekend!

Question:
1) What new theme do you want to suggest for my new layout?

   My Apologies...

I'm sorry I've been neglecting myOtaku!! I've been going through tutorial after tutorial for Paint Shop Pro 9 and layout tutorials, and frankly, all I've resulted in is a big head-ache. I've been messing around with my graphics program, and am slowly, but surely, making progress towards making a better, newer, UBERLY AWESOME layout. In my opinion, at least. =D

There's not much to tell. Coming back to school from Spring Break bit the dust. And yesterday, Emily-chan and myself had been in art class. Well, we were supposed to be drawing a near-life-size drawing of any person, but the paper size was limited, therefore all three of us (another friend was included in our group) couldn't work all at once. So, I was planning the design for the clothes, when our art teacher walks into the hal, where we were working because of limited space, and says, "You, and you. -is pointing to Emily-chan and myself- Back in the classroom. Write 'I will learn to follow instructions' 25 times each!" Emily-chan and I are left blubbering, and smoldering at the injustice at it all. So, we start working on that, muttering expletives under our breaths aimed at the man who wears blue-dyed, alligator skinned shoes, otherwise known as our art teacher. We commented on how we should tell our Language Arts teacher about this, because we have a unit on "Justice" or some such, and this would've been a prime example. Feh. Stupid art teachers with stupid alligator skin shoes who's just plain stupid. -.-

Honestly, I'm beginning to feel vain and very, very selfish, complaining about my problems to you poor people. I'll try to make a better one-sided discussion to entertain the masses. ;D

Question:
1) What do you do in your spare time?

Ciao.

   Happy Easter!

Quote of the Day:
"We can't all be heroes because somebody has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by."
~Will Rogers (1879-1935)

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was feeling a bit under the weather.

Happy Easter everybody! Had to get that in somewhere before I get too carried away in my musings. Or, rather, my irritating ramblings, but no matter. ^^

Today has so far been so-so. Tomorrow is the last day of my Spring Break, and I'm clinging to every minute that I can stay on the computer before I have to go back to that dreaded place they've dubbed as school. And honestly, who calls homework "lifework"? I mean, as if homework isn't bad enough, but our school makes it sound as if we have to spend hours toiling on this work our whole life through. And they call it "a positive out-look on 'homework' that makes children want to do their work." Feh.

Hmm...I'm getting the feeling of deja vu. I think I've talked about that subject in the past...Onwards with a fresher topic of my rather one-sided conversation. ^^

Woo! Itachi appeared on the Naruto marathon last night. When I saw the commercial preview, I jumped up and pumped my fist into the air in victory, I was so happy. My dad gave me a really weird look, but that's not anything unusual. ;D

And, as expected from my mother, she wants to milk my Spring Break for all it's worth. No matter that it's Easter today. She made me clean all the furniture in the house. I mean, really. She scrub the rocking chair, as well, and that was the worst. Man, that thing was utterly filthy! I think there's decades of filth, grime, and dust caked onto it. The water I was using had to be dumped and refilled at least six times. Uggh. My hands are all pruney.
e.e

Anywho, I hope you're all having a better Easter than I am!

Oh, and by the way, I might not be able to comment on your sites. Sorry in advance if I miss out on commenting!

Question:
1) Hmm...I'm conducting a test to see if anyone really bothers to read this far down. Type 'uberly ebil' in your post if you read this. Pretty please? -gives puppy eyes-

Ciao!

   Less Work, More Play!

Sorry that you keep having to scroll to see the picture in total. I would resize it, but after a good day of work, I'm too lazy.

Quote of the Day:
"I loathe the expression 'What makes him tick.' It is the American mind, looking for a simple and singular solution, that uses the foolish expression. A person not only ticks, he also chimes and strikes the hour, falls and breaks and has to be put together again, and sometimes stops like an electric clock in a thunderstorm."
~James Thurber (1894-1961)

So, I started cleaning the basement at noon. I ended at 5:00. There were 5 big black trashbags that I filled to the brim with junk that's left over in our house. I had pester my dad to make him put the boxes away because I'm simply not strong enough. And then, after hours and hours of my toil, and a now clean basement, my brother comes down and says, "You didn't do much. You just moved stuff around to make it seem clean," and walks back upstairs. The nerve!! Five trashbags!! Five!! And he goes and says I've done practically nothing. Humph. Next time, we'll have him clean the basement by his lonesome, and see how he does.

And on top of that, we have absolutely nothing to eat in this house. Nothing. We have odds and ends, but nothing that'd really make a dinner, let alone for four people. And now they're saying that I have to make dinner. With what?! And my poor feet. Ah, I'll shut up and quite complaining now. At least I'm done, right?

Bwuahahaha! I found my lost Flute Book! It has all my Phantom of the Opera songs in it. I can play it now! It was lost in the deep recesses of our basement. How it got there, I'll never know...(Translation: She brought it down there, totally forgot about, and lost it in the process) -.-

Question:
1) What do you plan to do this Easter Weekend?

My answer: Horse-back ride on Saturday, then watch Adult Swim for my anime fix. They better have my anime up there rather than last time!! Sunday, gorge myself with Easter candy, be forced to watch an Easter Sunday sermon on T.V. because the parental units didn't wake up early enough to attend one on their own (happens every year) and somehow sneak my way back onto the computer halfway through the sermon.

   Attack of the Dust Bunnies

Don't ask about the picture. Really. My crazy friend forced me to put it up here. Though, you have to admit, it's really nice...

For my fellow horse-loving friends, this is the horse I ride every Saturday. His name is Sebastian, or Seb for short. Cute, ne?

Anywho, I'm being forced to clean the basement tomorrow. By my lonesome. Now, normally, I wouldn't mind. Our unfinished basement is filled to the brim with junk, and the computer's down here, so I want it finished A.S.A.P., but there's so much stuff that I'm going to have my work cut out for me. And I remember last time I cleaned the basement, my parents chewed me out for not doing enough, but I was only nine, and could barely lift 2% of the boxes that litter the area. So, I'm not quite looking forward to tomorrow.

Today started off gloomy with an overcast from the rain last night, but it warmed up towards noon. It was really nice. We had a multitude of birds come to the birdfeeder.

I gave my adorable dog Max a bath today. He escaped the leash twice and I kept thinking I was going to have a heartattack. Screamed myself hoarse, only to find he was at my neighbors. T.T Does everybody find it funny when I have near-death experiences? I'm beginning to think so...

Question:
1) What did you do today? And what are you planning to do tomorrow?

Ciao!

   Microwave of DOOM!

Quote: "Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't the fine line between sanity and madness grown finer?" ~George Price

Episode 2 of Kyou Kara Maou is up.

I'm assuming you all think I'm crazy, having such a title for my post. But I can assure, I'm not.

We have a microwave that hasn't been cleaned in ages. -shudders- And I was forced to clean it. At first, I rebuked, saying I wasn't going to clean that thing. But then my dad went all in a huff, and had one of his fits. There was a box of saltines on the table, and he knocked it down to the floor. Crackers spewed everywhere. Then, he just started cleaning the dishes. I just stood there, staring at the crackers, and I was like, "Geez, you need a stress ball or something." Then my dad comes flying outta no where, has a fork in his hand, and fakes a throw at me. Yeesh. What great parents I have.

So, of course, after all this little drama, I'm quite pliant and I go to do the microwave, but when I ask him what I should clean it with, he throws his hands up in the air and says, "I'll do it!" Of course, then he makes me do some of the work, too.

It was extremely nasty. The remants of the smell still linger in the kitchen. My poor hands. Won't ever be the same again.

While we were working, my dad apologized, saying he was "all worked up because your brother isn't doing anything." Which is true. My elder brother's just mooching off my parents.

Then, after we do that, my dad claims that his knee hurts, and says I had to make dinner. T.T He was sitting the whole time, so I can't imagine how his knee hurts. But, I was reluctant to bring his wrath down again, so I just made sloppy joes.

I swear, I'm going to throttle my brother some day. He needs to get off his tush and start working. I mean, he's a college student! He could already have moved out! But nooo, he's just letting us do all the work! -grumbles-

Anyway, sorry for unloading my troubles onto you poor people. -pats your shoulder consolingly- Just gets me sometimes at the ignorance of others. Sorry for the uber long post!

Question:
1) Do you have siblings? Do they get on your very last nerve?

Ciao!

   Splendidly Bland

Quote: "The real hero is always a hero by mistake; he dreams of being an honest coward like everybody else."
~Umberto Eco

Yes, my Spring Break is nothing but a computer fest for me. But, it's gradually become boring. I find myself yawning as I type this, but not because I'm tired.

I've taken to drawing more, and staying off the computer. I know, you're all like "-le gasp- She's WHAT?! It's a sign of the APOCALPYSE!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!" But, seriously. I'm bored out of my mind.

My drawings are decent. Better than what I normally draw. Of course, I won't color them. -shakes head vigorously- Everytime I try to color something, not matter what utensil I use, it always ruins it. T.T I'm not even gonna bother this time around.

Ooh, and I'd like to thank Hollow Eyes. She PMed me telling me my comment button was being retarded. ^^ And because she was so generous, I'll start putting up the episodes of Kyou Kara Maou.

I'm cutting my post off here, as I have nothing else of interest to say. Not that anything else was interesting, but, you get my drift. I hope...

Question:
1) Should I post my drawings up here?

Ciao.

Summer Day

It's beautiful out today. It's warm and there's a slight breeze to keep you cool. The day passed by really quickly. I was enjoying the nice day.

My dad said that maybe tomorrow we'd go out to see the cherry blossoms. I'm not quite so sure I want to. I want to bask in the relaxtion that our house offers. Not get worked up, as I'm prone to do with my dad antagonizing me.

I put up some new music! I keep playing 'Graduation Day' over and over. It's almost Graduation Day for us, and plus, it's such a great song. -sighs-

Anywho, I'm thinking about posting some of my drawings here. They're nothing particular breathtaking, in fact, they're mediocre at best, but for me, they're quite an accomplishment. -nods in pride-

I'm thinking of posting all the episodes of Kyou Kara Maou on here. It'll give you all something more to look at than my pathetic posts. Hmmm...What do you all say?

Anywho, I've got to get going, before the parental units kick me off and put a block on the computer like last time. T.T

Questions:
1) Should I put the Kyou Kara Maou Episodes on here?
2) What's the weather like where you are?

Ciao!

   Spring Cleaning

Yes. Of course, my family waits until the first full day of my Spring Break to start doing Spring Cleaning. I was cleaning all day, and my hands are all pruny and dry. -scrunches nose in disgust- My back hurts like anything, and frankly, I'm irritated and rather irrational. And that means I rant a lot, so I'm sorry in advance for any rambling nonsense you happen to see in this post. Or at least, more rambling nonsense than before. XP

Last night in Adult Swim, they messed with the schedule, because it was "Movie Madness". Sure, they showed Spirited Away, but that was the bets of the best, and I don't like watching something I've watched over two times. So, that didn't improve my day much.

However, on a lighter note, I've created a new look for my site. The theme is, if you haven't noticed, Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, and memories. It's still under construction, so bear with me.

Anywho, I'm off to go watch videos on YouTube. If I find anything interesting, I'll post it up here. Oh, and by the way, happy April Fools Day!

Questions:
1) Did anybody prank you today, or did you prank anyone? If so, what did they/you do?

2) Do you like the new look? Honestly.

Ciao!

   SPRING BREAK!!!

Whoot! ^^ It's Spring Break. The beloved respite by all students, stereotypically used to go to the beach. Of course, I'm stuck at home, but no matter. House almost all to myself, and I'm going to be glued to the computer. With super glue! Mwuahaha. No one will be able to kick me off!

Spring Fever has me in its clutches. I'm very hyper and feel like I should be bouncing off the walls. -imagines self as chibi and doing exactly that- That was weird...

Today, we had Twin Day, as stated in previous post. We all decided to split up, so we became two different pairs of twins. It was fun. And I got to keep the shirt. XD

Captain Bostic of I.B.O.F.(International Brothers of Flab) and his loyal underwearboys all dressed up. It was hilarious! I took some pics, but seeing as how my brother snatched my camera to take pics of his girlfriend for a scrapbook, I can't do much at this moment.

We had Highschool Course Selection today. Emily-chan and I choose nearly all the same classes. But, when I told the parental units what I signed up for, they went up in a huff, because I decided to do Introduction to Graphics Communications (graphics designing, basically) for my one and only available elective, they wanted me to do Band. >.< I think I should be the one deciding my one courses. Or, at least my one elective. Besides, I hardly doubt I'm going to be a flutist as a profession.

Anyway, I had a really good day. We also had a Pep Rally, which involved 6th-8th grades. Ecah grade progressively was supposed to scream their little hearts out to compete for the Spirit Stick. It's only tradition at my school that each and every year, and I mean every, that the 8th graders get the Spirit Stick. So, when it was our turn, we screamed at the top of our lungs. The cheerleaders and our guidance counselor debated, and we, the 8th graders of 2007, won! Yup, we won't be the breakers of tradition anytime soon!

Question: What has been your happiest school memory so far this year?

Ciao!
