Seaside Play -- another short story
WARNING! STRONGLY IMPLIED YAOI AHEAD! SO IF YOU'RE TOO STUCK UP TO TAKE A STORY ABOUT TWO MEN LEAVE NOW.
WARNING 2; referenced mature, and unpleasant, content, i.e: rape
***************************
This one is part of the same series as Silver Snow but it happens way before and with different guys. There may be a few more plot holes in here than in S.S. so I apologize in advance for any confusion.

A port town, over run with drunken men and single women with a house full of children. Consisting of three types of buildings: run-down homes, basic shops and pubs. Life in a port town: inconsistent as hell. With the exception of pub owners, men to old and frail and boys barely out of diapers, the men are constantly changing. All of those towns are the same, except one, though it is a rough place with a high concentration of pubs to suit the usual arrivals. The Temple’s Port is mostly consistent in its population and some of its women are even married and their sailor husbands loyal.

The Temple’s Port, the ArcAngel’s home base, often visited by shady people looking for the Shade’s doppel. But now a new name was on everyone’s lips, the Nemesis was rumoured to be in the port. His legendary skills had even caught the attention of the elusive ArcAngel.

Nemesis was in the port town, but his aversion to attention made it such that he kept his identity to himself. Using his birth name, Marcus ordered himself a drink, the strongest ale to be had. To him the caped figure remained invisible but the eyes concealed beneath the hood didn’t miss a detail.

Taking in the sun-bathed tone of the skin covering the rippling muscle on his naked torso, I rolled the stem of my glass absent-mindedly, feeling the smooth glass beneath my fingers. I watched as Marcus advanced toward the fire, but stay to the side, in a lonely corner with no company.

A commotion in the street, a ship had docked and the crew was in the mood of celebration. The pub’s door burst open and a dozen sailors entered lead by a golden haired man. “Nathaniel!” I left my cape behind, it was the ArcAngel’s nap time anyway, and jumped into the arms of my friend. “Still a drunken fool Will. Come now, a round of ale for all!”

Declining the drink, Marcus retreated further into the corner, almost wishing that he’d just sink into the wall. He watched me have a hushed conversation with the barkeep. He’d found the sight of me as pleasant as that of any woman and the ale was transforming his usually ordered thoughts into ones that you would usually expect from drunken perverts.

Two clawed hands clasped in front of his chest, I had jumped onto his back. I mustered my most sultry whisper. “Am I that attractive?” Marcus glanced at me through his peripheral vision and caught glimpses of fangs and a long dark braid. His face became red, a lush strawberry tinge on his cheeks.

“Will! Stupid cat. C’m here!” Nathaniel’s deep rumble came from the room’s centre. I bounced off leaving a stunned and blushing Nemesis in the corner.

Later that night he came to me, having obviously thought every motion through in minute detail. But he never got the chance to speak. Corrin entered the pub and I had no intention of making it easy for him to reach me. I bounced into Marcus’ arms, wrapping mine around his neck and I kissed him. He didn’t return but he didn’t push me away either. After a moment I released him and watched Corrin leave looking very unhappy.

Marcus and I headed for the inn across the square where he pinned me to a wall and demanded and explanation. I choked on my words a lot but managed to explain who Corrin was and the pain he’d put me through by raping me. Marcus, holding both my arms to the wall with one of his hands, ran his fingers over the scars on my chest, sending shivers through me. I smiled. “Go easy on me gorgeous.” Marcus kissed me, and as usual, that one thing led to others.

I hope people like these two, 'cause they'll be back I assure you. Very very often.
