Why, oh, why did she swallow the fly?

First of may I say HOLY CRAP!? I've had exactly 1005 visitors since site launch in August. Woah. O.o It's almost mind-boggling. I was pleasantly surprised when I logged on, though, and I got eleven comments, which is almost a record for me. Incredible. *stunned*

Anyway, I will be holding some type of celebration, which I haven't quite figured out the details of yet (since I cooked it up about five minutes ago), tomorrow. I would tonight, but this is just a short post since I have some spare time and I figured you were lonely without me. ^^;;

On another note, I'd like to thank Mars for doing his (her?) computer-y magic to make our sites more customizable. I'm dying to try it out. ^^ I haven't been online since Sunday, so it's still a new toy for me. ^-^

Well, I'll chat with you all tomorrow (as well as do some requested plugs for sites ^^;;). Have a good Friday and remember the weekend is almost upon us. Woo! *dance*

"It's just a little bunny!"

Ah, Monty Python. Great humor. Anyway, thanks for posting. I would have updated yesterday, but I was in a bad mood, so I didn't. I've finally replied to all my guestbook signings (yeah, all three of them). I'm also almost caught up in my reading of Megatokyo, I just need to read it next weekend too.

I just realised that I never told you who Kurionekosama is. I think the Trigun fans might have gotten it, but I dunno. In every single episode of Trigun, there is this black cat named Kurionekosama ("Lord Black Cat") and there are plushies of him and Ein from Cowboy Bebop everywhere. So, if you don't know him well, here's a pic:

theotaku.com: Trigun

Well, not much else is going on here. I managed to watch the CCS movie again because I can't sit still through movies the first time, so I have to re-watch them. Eh, I guess I'll leave you with some quizzes and song lyrics.

Li Syaoran Song

Doko made mo tsuzuku aoi sora massugu miagete

This can't go on forever. I look up at the blue sky
The wind that blows over everything runs up the hills

I am Kurionekosama! *Mew*

Who be you and what be your purpose? I be here to conquer you all by crippling you with laughter! Muahahahahaha! All your world are belong to me! XD Sorry. I had to do something random for today. Well, besides delcaring that "Mew. I'm Kurionekosama!" during Physics class while we were doing homework and scarring people for life with terrifying mental images during lunch. Ha, stupid, imaginative people. Anyspiff, thanks for all the posts. I got seven! Seven! Wow... And two people signed my guestbook. How can there be people who do not know of and tremble in fear of my greatness? You fools! (my Marik impression for the day ^^). I pity the fool who doesn't know the Millennium! (my Mr. T impression for the day ^^. Come on, you can't have Marik without Mr. T). Seriously, thanks for all the comments and guestbook signings (no, I don't think you're fools ^^). Well, on to stuff that's happened in the past three days.

Yesterday was actually a good day, even though I'm not sure why. >.> We discovered that the dishwasher was leaking under our cabinets (noted by the mushrooms growing under one of the cabinets O.o), so we have to get that checked out. Until then, we have to hand-wash all the dishes, which I really don't mind for some reason. And my teacher invited me to a Spanish competition in April. I think she's just desperate for people and she likes my accent (she's asked me four times in a semester if I have hispanic background, which I don't as I've said every time -.-;;). I also got my report card today *collective hisses*, but I didn't do really bad. The worst part of getting a good report card is that if you're consistent enough, people know you get good grades all the time. This leads to a bit of friendly taunting ("I suppose you got straight A's again"), which really makes me feel bad at times. I know they're just kidding, but, you know, it still makes me feel bad, like I did it on purpose to make them feel inferior or something. Plus, the straight A's thing is inaccurate- I got two B's. Plus, I don't really have a social life, so I devote most of my time to schoolwork and anime.

Anyway, I've decided that this is the last post for the angsty hobbits. I dunno, I don't like to run gags for too long because they'll get old. I think I'll post some movie quizzes today, too. ^^ Sorry, you all seemed to like the angsty hobbits so, but I don't want you to be sick of them when I revive them for my boring posts, you know? Well, I think I've said enough about my day. Angsty hobits ahoy!

HOLY CRAP! I'M ANGSTY!

I did that just for someguy. That and I wanted to scream something completely random. I know I said I wouldn't post until the weekend, but I'm just that nice... Honestly, I have Spanish homework to do, so that's why. >.> And because I need to entertain myself somehow.

Anyway, I realize that my music is down. Gomen, I'll try to fix that ASAP (i.e. Friday). Thanks for all the posts! I got seven in two days, which is pretty good for me. Aaand I got two guestbook signings. *half-awake dance o' joy* Yeah, I'm still trying to adjust my sleeping schedule from going to bed at 3AM and waking up at noon to going to bed at 11PM and waking up at 5:30AM. It sucks. At least I've stopped feeling sick every time I think of school. O.o Soon I'll mellow out and start slacking. Yay slacking!

I'll try to post some Samwise the angsty after I finish my Spanish essay. Well, ja ne for now!

The gnomes that live in my nose demand jelly.

Before you ask, the subject is an inside joke I made in gym class in seventh grade about creatures that live in my nose that demand jelly on a regular basis. I think it was another type of mythical creature, but I can't spell it. Anyway, thanks for my two replies. Um...did anyone notice that when you read the posts page that the title of the page (which is usually in blue) was in black? Mebbe this has something to do with this mysterious new programmer Mars. He's already had a bit of fun with James'ssite, or so I've read. If you have no clue what I'm talking about, maybe you should visit the main page once in awhile. Just a suggestion.

Well, I'm really only posting because my posts will start to get a more infrequent starting tomorrow since this is the last day of break for me. T-T So, there should be posts on weekends, but probably not during the week. Gomen nassai, but I usually get slammed with work and tests, plus it's almost standardized testing season *twitch*, including one that determines if I get to graduate high school or not. O.o But, don't worry, I'll try to make the weekend posts fairly long and with more substance than the more recent posts. ^^;; That and they'll get more random as I lose sleep. I'll be going from 10-11 hours per night to about 5-6. That's half, folks, and that causes problems about mid-quarter. o.O

Anyway, not much else to say. I think I'll go hide in my room since my sister's little friend arrived. But, on second thought, my room is right next to hers, so I may surf on the net a bit longer. >.> I'm gonna look for some more wallpapers and check out some myOtaku sites. Ja ne!

"Drowning in my dream..."

Hey there everyone. Sorry for not posting yesterday, but, well, I was busy. ^^ Thanks for all the responses though. It seems like you all like Frodo the Angsty Hobbit, therefore, I shall find you Sam the Angsty Hobbit. Seriously, there is one. O.o

M'kay, well, yesterday, I got up and met my friend at the mall. Unfortunately, we only spent an hour together because of unforseen circumstances. But, we did manage to buy each other's birthday/Christmas presents. I got the CCS movie (spiff!) and she got the first DVD of Angel Santuary. I also bought myself Shonen Jump (great magazine). I read my first installment of Hikaru No Go and it wasn't bad. I was expecting terrible, but it was actually really good. "Hikaru barfed on me!" Then again, I'm easily amused. And I read the Naruto section. Sasuke was really spiffy (eck, I need to quit saying that) and I'm not much of a Sasuke fan. ^^ Okay, back to what I did yesterday. Then, I came home after being dragged to a craft store for "just a few magazines," which turned into a half-hour long expedition through the store. @.@ Then, I came home and decided, out of nowhere, to hang stuff on my wall. So, I ended up hanging up my Kenshin wallscroll, some old posters I had lying around, some framed calligraphy from about a year ago, and a Zen stone with more calligraphy on it. Oh, and my spiffy new calendar that I bought yesterday. I watched the CCS movie and Rurouni Kenshin, became angsty until about 2 AM, then fell asleep. And that was my day.

Anyspiff, I thought I'd posts some random stuff about my site. You know, just because I have nothing better to say...
[1] I have 8 pages of guestbook signings.
[2] I have about 15 pages of posts.
[3] The reply average is about 5 posts per update.
[4] My first theme was D.N.Angel, where I implemented the Repeated Offenders section for the first time.
[5] I have never had a female icon until now. They've all been guys (Daisuke, Kenshin, Kakashi, InuYasha...).
[6] I've had five themes to date: DNAngel, X, Rurouni Kenshin, Naruto, and InuYasha.
Yup. Random and useless. Thought you might find it interesting.

Anyway, here's some Samwise the Angsty:

I am an angsty little hobbit.

Has anyone ever seen Frodo, the Angsty Hobbit? It's really funny. What about Tina the Troubled Teen? Ha. Amusement. I'll try to find them for you. I dunno why, but today, I angst. See for yourself.
You represent... angst.
You represent... angst.
You have an extremely cynical outlook on just about
everything. It's okay to sulk and be
depressed, but life is short, and you only get
one. It's only what you make it, and only you
can make it improve.

What feeling do you represent?
brought to you by Quizilla
And I usually get naieve on that quiz, too.

Anywho, does anyone want to burst out into song and do the can-can with me? Ah, I have a few takers. Let's go!

(Anime) Cowboy Bebop: The Real Folk Blues (N/A)

Ending Song

Aishiteta to nageku ni wa
Amari ni mo toki wa sugi te shimatta
Mada kokoro no hokorobi o
Iyasenumama kaze ga fuiteru
It's too late to cry I love you.
The wind still blowing, my heart still aching

Hitotsu no me de asu o mite
Hitotsu no me de kinou mitsumeteru
Kimi no ai no yurikagode
Mo ichido yasurakani nemuretara
One side of my eyes see tomorrow,
And the other one see yesterday
I hope I could sleep in the cradle of your love, again

Kawaita hitomi de dareka na itekure
Cry for me, somebody, with dry eyes

*The real folk blues
Honto no kanashimi ga shiritaidake
Doro no kawa ni sukatta jinsei mo warukuwanai
Ichido kiri de owarunara
*The real folk blues
I just want to feel a real sorrow
It's not bad a life in the muddy river
If life is once

Kibou ni michita zetsuboto
Wanagashikakerareteru kono chansu
Nani ga yoku te warui no ka
Koin no omoi to kuramitaita
Hopeless hope, and the chance with traps
What is right, or wrong
It's like a both side of a coin

Dore dake ikireba iyasareru no darou
How long I must live till I release?

The real folk blues
Honto no yorokobi ga shiritai dake
Hikaru mono no subete ga ougen to wa kagiranai
The real folk blues
I just want to feel a real pleasure
All that glitters is not gold

Wai! I loves this song. ^^ I also wonder, has anyone looked at a picture of the surface of Mars and seen a koala? I have. I'll try to get a pic for you so you can find it yourself. Eh...never mind. There are over 29 pages of pictures for "Mars" on Google. Eck. O.o

I also noticed on my random wanderings through the web that a lot of websites' names end with an exclamation point. Yahoo! Quizilla! There are more, but I can't think of them right now. Maybe we should change theotaku's name to The Otaku! I'll run it by Adam-san. ^^;; Just imagine: My Otaku! Just gets you really excited, doesn't it?

Anyway, after two seconds of searching, I've found Frodo, the Angsty Hobbit for your enjoyment. I would post Tina the Troubled Teen, but the site's down now. I'll put up some of my favorite angsts. ^^

I spent about an hour last night catching up. I'm on page 364 of about 540. *end plug* Eeks! O.o Well, I've got some e-mails to reply to. Ja ne!

Where's my hovercar?!

Hey there, everyone! Hope your new year is going good so far. Mine looks about the same as last year. >.> Anyway, thanks for all the posts and birthday wishes. ^^

As customary with the coming of a new month, I've changed my theme. It's sad to see InuYasha go, but it'll return once I run out of ideas...in about seven years. O.o Regardless, I have a new theme- Card Captor Sakura. If you've never seen it before, the basic story is that a girl (roughly ten years old) finds a book in her basement that was uncovered years ago in an archeological dig (her father is an archeologist). She ignores it until it randomly falls off the shelf. When she picks it up, the lock undoes itself and she pokes inside. It's full of cards! She flips over the first card and reads the name "Windy" aloud. Suddenly all this crazy wind comes out of nowhere and the cards are carried away by it- even through the walls and ceiling! Then, this little plushie-looking thing comes out of the book with a key and tells the girl that she must recapture the cards or they could destroy the world. So, yeah, that's basically what happens. I suppose I'll talk briefly about some of the characters. The American/Canadian name is in parenthesis ^^ and the last name is given first in the Japanese names:
Kinomoto Sakura (Sakura Avalon): the girl that unleashes the cards. Optimistic, outgoing, and energetic, she is quite popular.
Li Syaoran (Li Showron): this guy from China that acts as Sakura's rival in capturing the cards.
Daidouji Tomoyo (Madison Taylor): Sakura's second cousin and best friend. She designs costumes for and tapes Sakura's card-capturing expeditions. She is very good at reading emotions.
Kinomoto Toya (Tori Avalon): Sakura's brother with a sixth sense.
Kinomoto Fujitaka (Aiden Avalon): Sakura's father. He has no magical ablilites.
Li Mei-Lin (Mei-Lin Rei): Syaoran's childhood friend who has a very deep interest in Syaoran. She has no magical powers, but has training in the martial arts (not present in the manga).

Whew. I think that covers it. ^-^ Well, I'm gonna go read some fanfics (I spent most of the afternoon editing my own ^^;;). Here's a spiff-tacular quiz. Hope you all like the new theme!

Holy Ishtar! Marik's the reincarnation of Mr. T!

Have you ever noticed that Marik says "fool" a lot in the English version? It made me think of Mr. T. XD When I get too much sleep, I'm easily amused. ^^;; Anyway, thanks for all the posts. I always enjoy them!

First off, I'd like to congratulate moldy_headbread for noticing that today is my birthday! Therefore, he receives two cookies, but you all get one. ^^ I'm officially sixteen now. Oy, how I get old. Y'know, at one point a few years ago I got worried about growing up because I thought that meant giving up cartoons and anime and building sandcastles and generally acting childish. But, I realized that there are a lot of otaku that are in their twenties and thirties and are just as passionate and content as ever. I also realised that I shouldn't care what others think of me. It made me feel better. ^^ We should all keep that in mind as we age. ^^

Anyway, I'll try to find some good quizzes for you. I spent twenty minutes searching Quizilla's database for a half-decent InuYasha quiz. *sigh* Speaking of which, I got my birthday gifts today consisting of a Kenshin wallscroll and an InuYasha t-shirt, not to mention a birthday balloon with a puppy on it. Kawaii! ^-^ I'll also try to find some kawaii Inu/Kagome pictures. Mebbe I'll try to incorporate some of the rest of the cast, too. ^^;;

Spoosh. I almost forgot that I watched Spirited Away last night. It's sooo good! Just the artwork itself was gorgeous. The storyline was incredibly inventive and enthralling. No wonder it won an Oscar. I even sat through the ending credits because the art and music were just that pretty. ^^ I recommend it highly.

Well, enjoy the pics and quizzes. ^^

Wow. You know your stuff. You could know more than
me, and then some. ^^ You dont enjoy the dubbed
Inuyasha, ne? And you're totally obbsessed.
Like me! ^^

Are you a true Inuyasha otaku?
brought to you by Quizilla

Look! I spiff! I'm determined to use 'spiffy' in as many forms as possible. ^^

This is a pic of Sango and Miroku. ^^

That's human Inuyasha and Kagome. Not as kawaii as my other pic, but still kinda sweet. ^^

"Don't worry. I've got four-wheel drive." -Chihiro's dad, Spirited Away. Yeah, I don't know about you, but in my experience, that means that you should tighten your seatbelt, curl into a fetal position, and pray to every diety you've ever heard of.

Clowns with kodachi and possessed frogs

Hey there everybody! Thanks for posting! Sorry I wasn't on yesterday, but my friend came over for a visit. ^^

Anyway, I got around to playing Dark Cloud 2, which is really cool and I recommend it if you have a few hours to kill. The English voice-overs are actually really good (unlike .hack -.-;;) and the opening music is really pretty. ^-^

Nothing really new on the anime front. I do have Spirited Away, which I'm probably gonna watch tonight and one episode of .hack//liminality that came with the video game. So, I'll be busy for awhile. ^^

Eck. I'm sorry for the boringness of my post, but I'm a bit low on inspiration. ^^;; Sorry. I suppose I shall repent with a quiz o' doom and a pretty Inuyasha pic.

right for others and maybe even for yourself.
People would consider you one with good morals,
