My Avatar

Hey there! Welcome to my site. Feel free to look around, and sign my guestbook.

Oh, and someone told me recently that I should tell people I take requests. So if you would like me to do something for you, just let me know.

I've Been tagged!
Okay so I've been tagged, but it seems like a lot of people have been tagged already, so I'll just post the randomness about myself for all to read without tagging other people.

So without further ado, 8 random facts about me

1. I like doing french manicures, and I even do them on my toes.
2. I am newly obsessed with The Office, and even did a little fan "chibi" drawing of Jim and Pam, but I don't know what section they would go in on this site.
3. I love old movies.
4. My eardrum ruptured once, that sucked.
5. I still have my old Super Nintendo, and I still play it. :)
6. I want to go to Guadeloupe very badly. Not the boring flat side of the island, but the side with the rainforests and waterfalls and volcanoes and black sand beaches. Yeah, totally on my to do list, well, after I learn enough french to get around.
7. I love horses and horseback riding, but I'm also kind of afraid of them too. weird I know.
8. Melted peanut butter and magic shell chocolate sauce over vanilla ice cream sends me to another universe....really...I'll send you a postcard sometime.

new pic
I know I haven't been here in a long time, and the pic I put up isn't quite done yet. I couldn't wait to put it up though. It's Yomiko Readman from Read or Die.

Yomiko

It's a little 26 episode series, and it's awesome! I totally recommend it. You have to see the movie version first, or a lot of the show won't make sense. Heck, to be honest, parts of the movie won't make sense either. But the show explains a lot of it as it goes along. It's so good. Watch it!

sorry I haven't been here in so long.....
i haven't drawn anything new in a long time. I've been focusing all my energy on sewing my new little monkeys. Here's one that just sold the other day. She's a mini monkey named Miki.

She's a mini monkey, so she's only about 6 inches sitting up. Here's her description:

She is so tiny and cute! She wants to be just like her big sister Yuki someday. Miki isn't quite like her big sister though.. She loves her mangas. She has a huge collection of them on her bookshelf. She also loves rice balls and taiyaki, they are her favorite treats. She is fun and loves to giggle. Miki is a big ball of love that can't wait to come home with you, as long as she can bring her mangas along!

People are loving the Japanese styled monkeys. I have a big one like her named Yuki. She's at my etsy shop. I wish I would have bought more of that fabric now!

So, that's what I've been up to. I'll hopefully get back to drawing soon. I really want to make an Azumanga Daioh pic. I'm almost done with the series and I love it so much! Sakaki is the best.

Here it is!
Here's my first one.

I've never really sewn anything before, just an occasional button, so I'm really proud of myself. I made the pattern, sewed him up and stuffed him. His name is Carter, and he's my first flying monkey. I'm going to make some modifications to the pattern and try him again.

He's made out of muslin and light blue felt, nice and cheap in case I messed him up. His mouth is hand embroidered, and so are his eyes and wings. He's stuffed with polyfil to make him oh so squishable.

Hopefully soon I'll have a whole line of colorful flying monkeys, and other creations. I'm planning on flying monkeys, angel kitties, dragons, and fairies. I'll sell them on Etsy.

Here's this little guys description: Carter is very sweet. He loves to be snuggled, and only flies when no one is looking. He likes big fluffy coulds, and his favorite midnight snacks are jelly beans and cool whip. Yep, he's got a sweet tooth, and he'd love to give you some sugar!

Every new day
I think I'm actually starting to feel better. I woke up this morning, and I was just really optimistic about things. I still don't know what's going to happen, but for some reason I've just been feeling better about things.

Plus, I got a big burst of creative energy last night, and I started designing all these cute little things.....can't say too much yet. Hopefully I'll work out all the kinks and be able to post a link. It's not anime, so I won't be posting anything about it on this site, but I'll make a link or something. It'll be a little while, but I think I have a great new idea. I feel inspired.
