If I had one person to thank it would be you
You stood by me through and through

Helped me to stand each time I fall
If there’s trouble, you I’d call

Helped me to laugh when I was sad
Helped me to smile when I was mad

I’m sorry I’ve put you through hell these days
But know in my heart you’ll remain always

You’re the most important person to me
Always happy I want you to be

I wouldn’t smile today if it weren’t for you
No matter what you make me happy through and through

You try so hard to suppress my tears
You try so hard to vanquish my fears

And all I can do is thank you for all you’ve done for me
Though that seems so little from how happy you’ve made me be

You may think you effort is worthless but not to me
For it means everything that you care for me

All I can do is thank you although I know that’s not much
You’ve helped me through tough times, the reassurances of your touch

Words cannot express the gratitude so deep within my soul
For without you with me I would not be whole

So know now that your efforts have not at all been in vain
For it is true when I say you’ve suppressed my deepest pains
