   The Story of Tia

Police are investigating the stabbing death of a young pregnant woman in Robertson County. Tia Vinson's boyfriend, Christopher Clinard, is accused of killing her and her unborn baby.

The incident happened Sunday night around 7:00 at a home on 7th Avenue in Springfield.

"He got upset because she wanted to end the relationship and he started stabbing them multiple times," said Lt. William Watkins.

After the altercation, Clinard drove Tia's bloody body to a friend’s house for help. After arriving, Clinard ran away.

"The friend goes to the car. Once he reaches the car, the suspect runs off on foot. The friend then decides to drive her to the hospital because he didn't have a phone," said Lt. Watkins.

The acquaintance used Tia's 1994 Mazda to take her to the emergency room but the car stalled a long the way. By the time the 23-year-old and her unborn child made it to the North Crest Hospital, both had died.

Christopher Clinard is now facing criminal homicide charges. They are likely to be upgraded because the baby was less than a few weeks from being born.
