Byes
Regretfully I won’t be on MyOtaku very much at all anymore as you probably have guessed. My computer is messing up and it’s extremely slow and won’t load pictures or copy and paste anymore. So until we get this computer fixed or buy a new one I won’t be back. I know this is heartbreaking news, but y’all will find some way through it. And I also have a favor to ask of everyone before I stop making my visits to MyOtaku altogether. My school has this tradition that every senior has to make a poetry shirt. Basically you have to fill the front and back of the shirt with different poems and decorations. So if any of y’all have any favorite poets and poems let me know so I can go and check them out. I need some ideas of some poems to put on my shirt. Laters.

Panda

Who Is Your Favorite Ranma 1/2 Character?

Comments (2) | Permalink

I’ve been watching Ranma ½ for the last couple of days and it’s a wicked hilarious show. The series is about Ranma Saotome, a young man, fell into a cursed spring while on a martial arts training trip to China with his father, Genma. Now Ranma turns into a beautiful young girl whenever he touches cold water. Hot water changes him back, at least until the next time it rains, or someone throws a pail of water at him. Over the course of the series, many other characters have turned up who have similar curses -- his father turns into a panda, his romantic rivals turn into pigs or ducks, and one of his many would-be fiancees turns into a cat. Each of them fell into a spring of cursed-this or cursed-that, and now they must live these double lives, searching for a way to lift the curse.
I know I am probably the only person in the universe who hasn’t seen Ranma ½ before, but bear with me. I am just now getting around to watching a bunch of awesome anime shows that some how I didn’t know about. Like the anime show Bubble Gum Crisis. And for those of you who actually get around more than I do I was wondering if you could tell me about the anime show Full Metal Panic. Good? Bad? What?

Spirited Away

I just watched this wicked awesome anime movie named Spirited Away.
The story is about a spoiled, edgy 10-year-old named Chihiro, moving to a new town with her parents. One wrong turn in the woods, however, and their boring suburban life takes a turn for the surreal. They find themselves in an eerily abandoned amusement park, with faded stalls and empty thoroughfares... but plates and plates of hot food sitting unattended. Mom and Dad, immediately begin scarfing down, but Chihiro demurs and goes wandering off alone. The amusement park serves as the home for a plethora of spirits, monsters and shapeshifters -- a fantasy world hidden just out of sight. Chihiro soon finds herself lost and alone, her parents gone and nothing but her wits to depend upon. With the setup in place, Miyazaki unleashes the full force of his imagination with a dizzying array of bizarre creatures and astounding locales. The centerpiece is a huge bathhouse, run by a bobble-headed witch named Yubaba, who claims Chihiro's name in exchange for giving her a job as a serving girl. Her minions include a gaggle of anthropomorphic toads, a friendly boy, who may be more than he seems, and a spider-limbed engineer with a gruff-but-kind heart. As Chihiro weaves her way through these spirit folk, she learns to rely on herself, to trust her instincts and to let her heart show her the way.

I have an obsession. *Bows head in shame* I am addicted to manga. I tried attending the meetings, but afterwards I would always run to my nearest book and comic store. It is even ruining my family and home life. My constant lying about receipts and purchases, and sneaking around has ruined not only my relationship with my family, but also my friends. We can’t even make a social trip to the mall without me sneaking into a bookstore alone the way. They are tired of me putting manga before them. * Sigh * And I’m pretty sure my dogs hate me too. I never have any spare time to spend with either of them without a book being in my hand. I’ve even had to buy a new bookshelf to hold all my manga. *Eyes begin to water* But I can’t stop! I love manga.

A man, while playing on the front nine of a complicated golf
course, became confused as to where he was on the course. Looking around, he saw He walked up to her, explained his confusion and asked her if she knew what hole he was playing. She replied, "I'm on the 7th hole, and you are a hole behind me, so you must be on the 6th hole." He thanked her and went back to his golf. On the back nine the same thing happened; and he approached her again with the same request. She said, "I'm on the 14th hole, you are a hole behind me, so you must be on the 13th hole." Once again he thanked her and returned to his play. He finished his round and went to the clubhouse where he saw the same lady sitting at the end of the bar. He asked the bartender if he knew the lady. The bartender said that she was a sales lady and played the course often. He approached her and said, "Let me buy you a drink in appreciation for your help. I understand that you are in the sales profession. I'm in sales, also. What do you sell?" She replied, "If I tell you,
you'll laugh." "No, I won't." "Well, if you must know," she answered, "I work for Tampax." With that, he laughed so hard he almost lost his breath. She said, "See I knew you would laugh." "That's not what I'm
laughing at," he replied. "I'm a salesman for Preparation H, so I'm still a hole behind you!"

Sorry I haven’t been around lately. I went to Sea World in San Antonio for Spring Break and got kidnapped by Shamu! Shamu may look innocent and sweet swimming around in his tank, but let me tell you he can be ferocious. He beat me with dead fish and held me under water for three hours at a time. Finally I managed to sneak a dolphin into my place when he was sleeping and escape. Next time I won’t stand so close to the glass when watching the Shamu show. And before I was so curly kidnapped by Shamu I finished all the Fushigi Yuugi episodes. In all Fushigi Yuugi was a totally wicked awesome show, and the ending was great.
