Koda Kumi in some trouble
Kumi Koda comment goes "rotten," suspended for month

Pop star Kumi Koda has found herself in trouble after making a careless remark on a radio show earlier this week. As a result, Koda will be putting all of her activities on hold for the time being.

The comment came on Tuesday night while Koda was hosting "All Night Nippon." The topic of her manager's marriage came up, and Koda was asked about when her manager was planning to have children. She made a seemingly light-hearted reply that "when women turn 35, their amniotic fluid goes rotten, so I'd like them to have a child by 35."

The inaccurate statement sparked a lot of criticism among listeners, particularly on the internet. Koda issued a public apology on Friday through the websites of Nippon Broadcasting System and Avex, but the damage had already been done. Cosmetics firm KOSE has temporarily removed her presence from its Visee site, and promotional events for her new album "Kingdom" have all been canceled. Koda was also scheduled to appear on a Tokyo FM show on Saturday, but she has been replaced by fellow Avex artist Ami Suzuki.

However, some of her television appearances will go on as planned, such as the already-recorded "Koi no Kara Sawagi" on Saturday and "Tetsuko no Heya" on Thursday.

According to Avex, the length of Koda's self-suspension has not yet been decided but is expected to last until the end of this month. Koda has a national tour scheduled to start in April, so she hopes to resume activities in time for rehearsals in mid-March.

These people are overreacting. It is ture, that you're not supposed to have children at a certain age because of that, what Kuu-Chan said, but I'm sure she wasn't trying to be mean and hurtful. She was simply stating how she felt about women having children at a certain age. And come on, halting all promotion for her new album and Kose removing her from their website? That's not really neccessary.

Problems with the Anime Industry
ok, so I decided to finally post something rather worthwhile. So I'm on Gaiaonline and there's been lot's of threads regarding the downfall of the Anime industry. I just want to say that yes, people do need to buy more Anime DVD's and support the Anime industry but then again, no matter how many times you tell someone, they're not really gonna do it. Let's look at the consequences though: Geneon has officially closed down, Newtype magazine is closing down and a new magazine will take its place and I think even Anime Network stopped it's 24/7 broadcasting of Anime or something. I don't know all the details. But I do know that fans should really support things that they really like. I mean, when your favorite artists come out with albums, don't you buy them? I personally like to own all my favorite Anime series and CD's and stuff. The Anime Industry is slowing withering away to nothing and it's because of Anime fans. True Anime fans will support the Anime industry.

For more info. on the state of the Anime Industry and the ongoing battles between Anime fans, go to Gaiaonline.

Sorry folks, didn't mean to put all the blame on the fans! Anime is too pricy so it is the companies fault too for making it too expensive.

Aqua Reunites!
omg, Danish-Norwegian Bubblegum Dance group/band "Aqua", mostly known for their hit song "Barbie Girl", is reuniting! omg, I'm so happy. I love the Barbie Girl song and I love their music! It's too bad though that they're touring in Denmark, Canada and Asia (so far). Why not America? I can't go all the way up to Canada to go to their concert. I can try but I highly doubt it. Anyway, whether I get to see them in concert or not, this is big news for me. Best news I've heard since the Spice Girls reunited. I didn't go to their concert though.

Yeah, so I said I would try to make at least one post a month. I missed December. lol. But anyway, hope everyone is having a good year so far and I hope everyone had a good holiday season.

Peace out!
