Going the distance.

I've gone from aching knees to signing up for a half marathon. Training has already started since I've found good joint support for my leggies. This week, I've run 13 miles. I'll continue to progress until I can run 13 miles in one go. It will take some time, but I want the challenge and I want to become stronger.
The exercise will help me with my anxieties. It will help me with my breathing issues. It will help me sing. I've been invited to join a choir, and I'm hopeful to do well for it.

Mentally, I am rested. I've taken a full week's time to stay remote. It's allowed me to sleep peacefully and avoid traffic for a while. I've made a slight reconciliation with a person with whom I'm at odds at work, and I am hopeful to move forward with a clearer mind.

I want to do better and feel better and be better and be well-rounded and be intelligent and happy and hardworking and (financially) stable and all of those things that were promised to me when I was small and stupid enough to believe that promises weren't real and people weren't prone to letting other people down. Coming to the conclusion that the people who I admired, the people that I thought knew the answers knew nearly nothing. I am now the age they were when I believed in them.

And now I have myself.

Can I believe in me?
