The Illusionist. Go see it right now. I hadn't even heard of it before tonight, but I went and saw it. Now you go, then we can talk about it. BECAUSE IT WAS FRIGGIN AWESOME, YOU WON'T FIND A BETTER MOVIE OUT RIGHT NOW!!!!! Seriously go see it now. I can't say anything about this movie without ruining it. But its great, no beyond great, it is... Magnificent.

This morning I went to work and we drilled some cores(rock), and I ended up dropping a piece on my leg, and some of the crude oil got on my pants, I told my boss I was stealing it, and that was how I was sneaking it out. In retrospect that was quite possibly the most expensive stain I've never had.

Random Conversation of the Day
Setup: Me and Drew(roommate) went to Ruby Tuesday's for supper, and it was a little busy so...
Act I
Drew: Alright, if we pretend to be gay we can get seated in a hurry, or we can do it normal and wait in line.
Me: I think we'll do the later.
But as soon as we walked in they took us to our seats
Me: I guess they thought we were gay.
Act II
After we finished eating
Hot Asian Waitress: So is this together or seperate.
Me: Seperate (she leaves) I guess the guise of us being gay is over.
Drew: No wait. (he smears some sour cream over his lip) Now we're still pretending to be gay.

If you don't get that conversation, then God bless your naïveté. If you got it then you understand our sense of humor well. And you know when you wear button up shirts and they sometimes "tent" open between the buttons. Well the hot asian waitress had that going on, so she got a good tip.

Alright, see you people later. Bye.

We got our stats tests back today, I made a 55 but he gave us a 15 point curve, so I pulled out a C, which I guess is alright, but I need to pick up the slack in these classes, if I'm gonna get into grad school and whatnot.

So other than that, not a lot going on today. I saw a sheep get anal probed by an alien, but that's a whole nother story.

Random Conversation of the Day
Setup: Me Cale and Jon were talking about the Boston trip
Cale to Jon: Have you seen the hotel we're gonna be staying it?!
Jon: No, is it susposed to be good?
Me: Let me put it this way, God may be our neighbor, its that nice.

That wasn't really much of a conversation, but I can't seem to remember any from today, but I did do this. One of my teachers was ranting on about how paleontology is falling by the way in the geological world, I didn't really care, but I just slapped the table and said Fucking A, to pretend to be in aggreement with him, and he blinked for a second and lost his train of thought. I dunno, its been a boring day.

Bye people

I hit a thousand visits today, and none of you could stop me, all of your schemeing was for naught, so bam.

I found out that I can go to Boston for the AEG convention. And my advisor just happens to be the president of AEG, so we'll be set on what we get to do. And as a bonus this is about half the price of the convention in Philadelphia.

Oh and I bought the FMA movie yesterday, I enjoyed it, although the ending disappointed me a little, but just a little. Anywho convo time

Random Conversation of the Day
Setup: Krystal is a girl I had classes with two years ago, but she went back to Oregon for a year, and now she's back here as a grad student. The two of us tend to have the best grades in the class, usually with her coming out slightly ahead of myself. And we were talking about a paper we've got due in a class later this year.
Krystal: I'm worried about this paper, Dewey (the teacher) said he expected better stuff out of me since I'm a grad student. If I don't get an A on this I'll just have to shoot myself.
Me: I wouldn't set the bar too high, we had to write a paper last year, I got the highest grade, it was a 75.
Krystal: Don't tell me that!
Me: Well Maggie may have beat me, but our grades were real close, she was your replacement.
Krystal: I think you better think of a different way of saying that, because there isn't anyone who could replace me!!!
Me: What I meant to say was that Maggie was the closest level of competition for me and she's nowhere near as good as you are.
Krystal: That's better!

I swear Krystal would fit perfectly into an anime, she gets so over the top sometimes, and she is nearly completely insane.

Anywho I'm out bye folks.

Its International Talk like a Pirate Day, at least until midnight... sorry for no warning, but I just found out myself as well. Argh

Welp as it turns out studying in the bathtub ain't worth shit. I'm not sure I made a 5 on the test this morning, but I've talked to others and the verdict was that it was rediculously hard. But I'm still gonna forgo the bathtub studying from now on.

Oh and in good news, I went to a meeting to see if we wanted to go to the GSA (Geological Society of America) convention in Philadelphia come October. All I have to do is pay registration, or I can work at the convention and get in for free, and the school pays for room and board. It'll end up being a few of us undergrads, and several grad students, most of them women who seem to enjoy our company very much. And since the whole trip is sponsored by the school, we can get out of all our class responsibilities, so I'm probably gonna be awol come mid-october. I may get to go to Boston instead, but that's kinda iffy so I'll give the details on that later.

Random Conversation of the Day
Setup: Me and Cale are just leaving the meeting for the trip and Krystal, Athena, and Jamie stop us and tell us about the stuff they didn't want to say in front of the teachers.
Krystal: You guys have got to come. They give away free alcohol.
Jamie: Most of its beer too, and I don't like beer so you could have mine.
(they went on like this for a few minutes, I guess alcohol is a big selling point for a lot of people, me I could go either way with it, then me and Cale headed on and continued talking about it)
Cale: You think we should go?
Me: It sounds like fun, plus we could run up the stairs like Rocky.
Cale: I hadn't thought of that, but if those girls think I'm hanging out with them the whole time, they're wrong, I'm gonna find as many women as possible.
Me: You know that's about the best reason I've heard the whole time, well except for the rocky thing.
Cale: Let it go man.

It feels like I'm writing a play when I do that, I'll start classifying them as acts from now on. Anywho peace out peoples.

Welp I got some studying done tonight, I had to use a secret technique passed down to me by my roommate. You get naked and sit in a bathtub full of water while reading your notes. I know its wierd, but it isolates you from anything distracting, so you actually get some reading done. Unless you're vain enough to find your own naked body distracting, then you might have problems.

At work this morning I had to mix up some epoxy, which is easy as crap, but I stank of epoxy the rest of the day, and that gave me a headache.

Oh and last Thursday me, Drew (my roommate), and Mike (a buddy of ours) had all gone out to eat at a little BBQ joint known as Little Dooeys. They had both ordered before me and I was heading to the table with my sweet tea, and they told me I'd need some lemon for that tea, I was all defiant and decided not to heed their warnings, and I took a big swig and nearly passed out, there was WAY too much sugar in that stuff, Mike said he nearly slipped into a diabetic coma from it. I ended up cutting it with 2/3 of a glass of unsweetened tea, and it was still a little sweet.

Ah well I guess that's all that has gone on around here today, but I'll leave you with another random conversation.

Random Conversation of the Day
Setup: I was going to my 12:00 class and heading up the stairs to the second floor and I met a guy coming down the stairs in the same geral lane I was. We both juked and ended up in each others way again.
Other guy: Damn this never would have happened if it wasn't for my indecision.
Me: Oh my indecision was at fault too, but really I think its too early to be making decisions this hard.
Other Guy: That's true.

I've decided to give out random conversations just so you have to see the crap I go through every day. Anywho, I'm done, bye ^_^

Wow its been a long day, not a lot has happened, its just been a long day. I did go looking for the Fullmetal Alchemist movie today, I keep seeing commercials for it, so I figure its gotta be out, but I sure haven't found it anywhere. I did practically strike gold though, I got the Big Lebowski for ten bucks. That movie is awesome, I can't stop cussing after I watch it though, it gets in my head and I just want to say F'ing A every two minutes. Oh and I watched the Wedding Crashers earlier tonight, good stuff. Vince Vaughn got the best wakeup ever in that movie. After all of that, I attempted to do some studying for a stats test, but I ended up watching baseball, so this evening was a total bust from a school perspective. From an entertainment perspective, great things were achieved.

Well all of my teams lost saturday, Mississippi State (my school) did at least score this time though, but not enough to actually win and Notre Dame couldn't cut it, those bums, Con hates the Irish, and I don't know why.

Random Conversation of the Day:
(I had just gotten out of bed and wanted to check yesterdays scores so I got the sports page from daddy)
Me: Hey we scored!
Daddy: How much?
Me: 29 points
Daddy: What about the other team?
Me: huh, oh, they got 32, but that's not the point. We actually scored!
I was genuinly excited for us. Also I would like to point out that Con doesn't hate the Irish. At least I don't think she does, you'll have to ask her.

Well today was interesting, I got some good news and some bad news.

Good news, Dr. Lynch found our decorated Christmas tree, or fake bush with Christmas lights on it, whichever you feel like calling it, and he asked why we didn't hang them all over the room. So I figure the next time I'm down there "studying" I'll be defacing school property with sparkly colored lights.

Bad News, I found out I had Statistics homework due in the morning, he assigned it the day I skipped last week. I was told it was some tough cookie homework too, so I jumped right on it as soon as I got out of class around 3:00 and I just finished it, so it wasn't the worst I've ever had, but still not something I like sprung on me like that.

Mediocre News, I've been wearing a nice pair of jeans all day, some I've had for years, well I noticed they've just about had it, they have acquired some rather large holes around the back pockets, so I've been showing off my boxers today, which isn't so bad except I had on my gingerbread men boxers, not exactly the manliest things to be showing off, but I can deal with it all.

I started investigating grad schools today, I sent off for a packet from the petroleum engineering department at LSU, I'll probably start hunting for more, I plan on researching this pretty thoroughly.

Anywho keep it cool ladies and gents.

Hahahaha!!! Welp my procrastination payed off, I ended up spending about five hours in the lab today identifying fossils and decorating Christmas trees (we found a string of Christmas lights in a drawer, so me and Cale had to put them up, with about fifty feet of them being wrapped around the one bush in the room) Needless to say I didn't get a lot done at that point, so I went back with Josh around 4:00 thinking we'd be done by 5:30 at the latest, 7:30, thats when we got done, but it was all good I had my laptop we rocked out to the North Mississippi Allstars for a while, good times. And for about the last three hours I've been attempting to type up my lab reports, although I haven't been trying real hard, it could have been done quicker if I had been on the ball. And mucho thanks to Con for helping me stay awake during the final moments of typing.

Oh and this morning during stats class I got bored and drew this. (points down) I think its a masterpiece...

Hey!!! I went running! And I realized I need some new tennis shoes, those things were worn slap out, plus they stank pretty bad, probably from the various liquids they have been through (creek water, liquid fertilizer, lagoon water, each one of those smells worse than the last too. I'm speaking of them in past tense because now they're sitting in the dumpster outside my apartment, which means...

I've got an excuse not to go running tomorrow, No Shoes!!!

This morning, I planned on doing some work for a lab due later this week, but I decided to wait until tomorrow, because procrastination's never led me wrong before.

Anywho I'm done, bye people.

Hey, what's happening people? Me, I'm watching Happy Gilmore, it's the best golf movie ever, and possibly the most accurate. Oh and the ball game yesterday, we got waxed, I don't remember the score, but it was something like Auburn-40ish, Ms State-0. We're heading into the third week of the season, and we haven't scored a point yet. But Notre Dame won, Woo Hoo!!! Everyone kept telling me we couldn't do it, but they were wrong. Anywho, I'm about to go to bed, I am once again going to try to get up and do a little running in the morning, I opted out of it last week due to the cold, but I'm healthy now, and out of excuses. Alright people, I'll see you tomorrow. Bye!
