I actually had to go to college twice before getting my degree - I wasn't quite focused or motivated enough the first time around. The decisions you make now will definitely have an impact on your future but generally you will have a lot of flexibility to change direction as you go along if you discover you are on the wrong path. The only big exceptions to that are decisionds that lead to 1) Children 2) Death or 3) Prison. If you manage to stay away from those (at least for a while), you should be able to forge your own path with confidence. Take care & I hope at least one of the universities accepts you.
