Chapter Two is Here!
Hana Te Yumi
Chap. 2
"Princess!" Lakis spun around as three men appeared running out of the opposite side of the forest. She new all three well to be guards for the palace.
"Waja, Nii, Leiol." She gave a breath of relief as the shaking stopped quickly.
"Princess are you all right, Delphie reported a disturbance in the woods." Leiol looked deeply concerned.
"Dear Delphie, I'm so grateful to her." Lakis sighed. "But I'm all right boys. And my mother, has she been told of the watching pool?"
"Yes Princess. I think it would be better if you came back to the palace now." Waja extended his hand.
"I suppose I should." She smiled and nodded gently. She took Waja's hand and the four of them shrunk until they were the size Delphie had been, for it is in the power of all fairies to be the size of a human or of their own fairy kin as they please. Lakis' dragonfly-like wings fluttered elegantly as she followed the three guards to the center of the forest of Lathel and to the palace where her mother, Queen of all Karatomeina, resided.

Meanwhile...
"How could that be?" The Queen looked up as her assistant, Claris, hovered above the throne.
"I don't know my queen." Claris shook his head and continued to scribble down notes of today's finding as the Queen had ordered. The Queen had shoulder length midnight blue hair. She had two jagged blue lines on each of her cheek and a silver wreath crown atop her head with roses, lilacs, and other flowers adorning it. Her gown went down to her knees and she was nearly as skinny as Lakis. But time had taken it's toll and now the Queen was 50 to human eyes, but yet again, the life-span of fairies can be greater than the life of an entire jungle. Even now the Queen's eyes reflected many sorrows and a great deal of pain from her lifetime and still she carried he weight of the crown.
"The watching pool of Lathel has never failed to foresee or reflect the past, present, or future! Never!" The Queen said angrily.
"What should we do your highness? What will become of us?" Claris replied in a frightened voice.
"I do not know." The Queen shook her head. She stopped her unfathomable pacing and sat back down on the throne. "I just can't understand why something like this would happen. And why now? It must mean something, I know it."
"I just hope it doesn't mean anything horrible." Claris stuttered.
"Me too Claris, me too." The Queen jumped as the palace doors opened and Lakis along with three palace guards entered.
"Mother." Lakis flew over to the throne where she landed gently before the Queen. Lakis clasped her hands together and gave her mother a worried look. "The watching pool, it has failed us. What shall we do?"
"A meeting." The Queen answered abruptly. Lakis, Claris, and the guards all looked startled.
"What for your majesty?" Claris sputtered.
"I meeting of the fairy elders, the chief knights, and myself. There is a great deal of discussion to be made, a very important discussion." The Queen looked determined.
"What about me mother?" Lakis grew concerned.
"You're too young Lakis, you will stay and guide the youth of our world while this session is underway." The Queen remarked strictly. Lakis would have retorted to her mothers swift decision but she was more mature than even some adults she knew. She held her tongue and gave a steady nod.
"Good. Claris, gather everyone I've mentioned and meet me in the Grand Hall.
"Yes my liege." Claris quickly flew out of the castle and into the fairy cities. The three guards followed the Queen into the Grand Hall and slammed the large wooden doors. Lakis stood alone for a moment and then fluttered back out of the palace to the miniature world of fairies. She viewed the world around her and thought to herself, I do not want this place to come to ruin. These people are my friends, and family, and subjects, this is my home, I can not let it fall. Whatever plan her mother was concocting had to be good. Lakis had followed her instincts ever since she was a child and they had always been true to her. She would not deny them now when she felt that something very dangerous, and phenomenal was about to occur.

   Finally Posted!
i'm proud 2 say my new story is in the works, here's the first chapter!

Hana Te Yumi
Chap. 1
At the beginning of time the world was divided into three sections; the sky, Earth, and the underworld. As time progressed Earth became a passage for those in the other two worlds and a sanctuary for those who did not posses powers.
Our story begins not on Earth but in one of the other realms; the sky, known by it's eminent, and more suitable name; Hana Te Yumi.Within it lies the land of fairies, or Karatomeina. The young princess of the fairy populace , Lakis, walked silently through the forest of Lathel, the dawn had just set across the land and she found herself compelled to visit the watching pool in these early hours of the day.
Lakis was quite beautiful beyond all means, she had pale blue hair that fell gracefully to her knees, the same pale blue eyes, and a smile, when caught, that could light up the entire void of the universe. She was very slender and had attractive curves wherever one needed to be found. Her skin was white, but not abnormally so, and, as she favored most about her, she had the most pleasant of hands. Her fingers were long and skinny and her nails were longer than most women's . Lakis looked to any other human as a 16 year old girl, but her true age could not be counted in the hundreds.
As she walked the hem of her flowing lavender and blue skirt skimmed the twigs and leaves of the forest floor though her footsteps could not be heard. She arrived only moments later at an oval shaped pool of the most crystal-colored water she had ever seen. Calmly she knelt at the edge and peered into the swirling fog that had commenced. She frowned slightly at the pools waters.
"Odd." She mumbled. Suddenly a small fairy, no larger that a humming bird, flew in front of her.
"What is it Princess? What is it that you see?" The fairy squeaked.
"The vision is unclear." Lakis looked back to the water.
"Oh, I hope it's not something bad! Please tell me it's not." The two of them waited with growing anxiety until a figure formed.
"It's a man!" The fairy gasped.
"But I cannot see his face. Why does the watching pool show such unclear things? I have never seen such an occurrence in my time." Quite abruptly there was a rustling behind them. Lakis quickly looked over her shoulder and the small fairy cowered in fear.
"What was that Princess?!" She stammered.
"I don't know, Delphie. Go to the Queen and tell her of what we saw in the watching pool." Lakis ordered.
"But Princess, what about the noises-"
"Go!" Lakis said firmly and the small fairy, Delphie, disappeared into the forest. Lakis got to her feet once again and scanned the surrounding area. The watching pool had become white and hazy again and the movement in the forest continued. The amulet around Lakis' neck began to glow bright blue.
"Show yourself!" Lakis commanded. Whatever it was only seemed to shift more until Lakis finally realized the path of the mysterious noises. Whatever it was, was headed straight for her! Lakis took a step backward. The shaking only got louder and more violent, the amulet was growing brighter still, and the waters in the watching pool circled the borders faster.Lakis gasped as the noise was at it's climax, her breath quickened and then...

   Soul Mate
Your love for me is like a waterfall,
Flowing inside me like never before,
It runs so deep inside of me,
I long to set it free,
When there's no one else to turn to,
I need comfort, I need you,
Your my one and only, I think it's fate,
You are my everything, my soul mate
