Jai'byrds are a rare species only found in mountainous, forested regions in the North American temperate zone. Their range extends from the northern Adirondack Mountain range all the way down into the Great Smokey Mountains in western North Carolina. They usually don't come down out of the mountains much, but do enjoy warmer temperatures as they are known to hibernate through the winter in small, cluttered dens. They have been often observed watching large amounted of television, specifically Japanese Anime, Star Trek and the Discovery Channel. Also they do show rudimentary skills at drawing and making jewelry. They are attracted to Macintosh computers and will defend them venomously from Windows users. Diet includes mushroom pizzas, steak, oranges, milk and large quantities of orange juice. While rare, they are quite friendly and very loyal to those they consider a friend.
